Even on weekends or weekdays, if you order two rolls, you get one free. The price is great and the raw fish is really fresh and delicious. The serving staff is friendly, the inside of the store is clean, and the atmosphere is nice.

After being sat down, wasn’t offered anything to drink or eat for a few minute when the restaurant was empty. Food was average. Nothing stands out about this place - definitely a middle of the road sushi spot and I doubt I would come back here.

Have eaten sushi all over so-cal during my days as a truck driver and growing up in SGV. Hana Maru is something unique and reminds me of the old school sushi places with just how great the sushi is! Definitely turned the wife and I into regular customers :)

I dont usually write bad reviews due to service but I just came in to pick up a takeout order. There were no chopsticks or soy sauce packets in the bag with the sushi, I waited for some time until the waitress came back and asked her for some chopsticks and soy sauce packets and she ignored me. I think it may have been racism? Unnecessarily bad experience.

A nice sushi place for a late lunch. The server was friendly and service was great overall. Enjoyed the Lotus roll and Atlantic roll, which was quite satisfying.

The atmosphere and service were really great. Prices very comfortable as well, but the flavor… it’s alright. I ordered the Vegas roll and the pieces were huge, it fell apart as I picked it up, which became a messy experience. It also came with raw onions?? which I’ve never seen before, and it wasn’t a good combination to be honest… Another small thing that bothered me was that they have very cheap disposable chopsticks while the atmosphere looks very nice and well maintained. Hopefully they can upgrade to real chopsticks in the future.

The interior is pretty, but the food was meteocer and not worth the high prices. If youre looking for a good local sushi place, I would highly recommend Chomp in Fullerton or Fish in a Bottle in Placentia/Yorba Linda.

Unlike most of the places in to, there are sushi professionals here. You are greeted with exuberance and enthusiasm. Sushi is top notch. Didnt have to spend a fortune.

Friendly and fast service. Delicious food ( I got the Danny-ya roll). Awesome ambience and decor. They had Bob Ross playing on one of the TVs too. Perfect for dates or friendly gatherings. 10/10 would recommend.

My experience here was great. The sushi is good. The service is good and the atmosphere is a beat. If youre looking for something local with a great sushi taste and a fair price point, then this is your spot. The chicken teriyaki is really good and its worth a look at.

Kind staff and amazing food! The prices were good and the sushi had great portions and the presentation was beautiful. The restaurant is decorated nicely and very relaxing. I came during lunchtime so it was a bit slow. 10/10 experience, I am definitely going again!

I was very surprised at the quality of food. My kids really liked the 🍜 ramen noodle soup. Sushi was delicious. Right now in the middle of the day and early afternoon its not that busy so its a great time to go. Highly recommend. Very nice staff.

Great food and very friendly service and staff 🙂Usually get the sashimi combo B and a miso. The agedashi tofu is a really good appetizer too. Sometimes they have a blue fin tuna special; try the blue fin if it’s available, it’s so rich!! Also, the sashimi combo comes with fresh wasabi which I hadn’t had before but really enjoyed.

Came here last Saturday evening, with my cousin and their family, who visiting from overseas, ordered sashimi combo and variety of rolls. Sashimi cut was generous and delicious. Price wise is acceptable and fair in comparison to other sushi joint. Good service and attentive servers. Will come back here with my parents in the future

It was okay sushi. I went with a group of friends and they all shared the same sentiment. One person I went with got a sampler platter with different types of sushi and said that the eel they served tasted off but everything else was okay. All in all, it was alright. Nothing to write home about. There are better places to get sushi not too far away from this place.

Gave this place a couple of chances and both times were a disappointment. Server didnt check on us when we ate there the first time until it was time to pay the bill. Second time, ate sushi at the bar and didnt get any chopsticks or got offered any drinks until we wanted to leave already.

We ordered the Vegas, Goldrush, Alaskan, Danny Ya, Yas, Kirin Ichies, and some Nigori By far the Yas was the winner! Can not fault this place at all. Excellent music, fantastic service, relaxing decor, amazing food, and silky smooth saki!

Loved the food quality. Service was good. There were 3 moments that the waitresses got my drink orders messed up 3x. But its not a big deal.I really enjoyed the food. I would totally come here again.Prices are decent. Food portion is pretty good.
