I arrived around 6:30 on a Thursday and was immediately seated. The place has a cozy Japanese diner feel to it, pretty nice. The sushi rolls are large, and its not just a lot of rice but lots of fish, too. The Yakuni ramen has bean sprouts so be aware of that since they put it underneath the pork if you dont like them. Im sure you can ask for none, though. Both the ramen and sushi tasted great!!

This is such a cute little hole in the wall restaurant thats so cozy and intimate with amazingly flavorful food. The portions are huge, plenty of options for everyone and they even have half portions for ramen. Its a bit tucked away from the main strip but actually thats what I absolutely love. By this time Im really bored with all the restaurants on the main strip in Burlingame. I will definitely be back.

The restaurant is very small so be prepared to wait for a table. We sat at the bar but it was very tight (too tight).The food was mostly good. The fried things are dripping with grease but adequately tasty. The portions are huge, much bigger than expected.Where is kind of went array was spotting a cockroach on a sign right in front of us. We told the wait staff about it and they went to kill it. In the process of killing the bug they dropped a sign on us. They did replace the food that was affected and gave us a discount on the meal.

Cute little place a bit away from the main restaurants street. Super friendly and attentive staff and delicious food. We got the kakuni ramen and curry katsu ramen. I really liked the kakuni ramen. The katsu was good but I felt that the curry was too heavy and thick for me as a main meal. Overall I had a good meal and would come back to try other dishes.

I love this place for unique and creative menu dishes! Ramen was delicious and very close to what you would get in Tokyo. We tried the spicy tan tan ramen with KFC style fried chicken. The chicken wasn’t as flavorful as KFC but maybe you’re supposed to dunk it in the broth and eat them. The noodles were too soft and overcooked. Next time I will ask for hard noodles- the proper way to eat them.

Good lunch today. We all had ramen sets. We had these additions: +$3.50 for a little salad, +$5.50 for a BBQ pork rice. It is nice they do that. For the ramen: katsu curry ramen $17.50, jalapeno ramen $16.25, mi-yu ramen $18.25 and a shio ramen $14. I enjoyed my curry ramen. My friends said their ramen were decent. Not great. Im thinking they changed ownership. Regardless, it was a good lunch.

Amazing taste! I ordered from their lunch bento sets. For $12 I got what seemed like a 3/4 portion of ramen, a chicken karaage rice bowl, and two pieces of fried gyoza. They all tasted really good. My partner ordered the Mayu Ramen for $18.5 and it came with three chicken legs. The value for money here is just undeniable.

Small Eatery that would be very easy to miss driving by. Had to park in the neighborhood a couple blocks away, felt like a local restaurant. Tables were full when I visited so I sat the counter bar stool area. Great lunch special pricing. 12$ for a small bowl of Tonkotsu ramen(was enough) and bowl of rice with choice of meat, with 2 pieces of Gyoza as well. I also ordered a roll of Tuna sushi which were fairly large pieces; was surprised.

$12 lunch set includes a mini ramen plus a rice bowl with your choice of meat and two gyoza. Where else can you find that. Its a small restaurant, about 5 four-people tables and 1 two person table, plus 5 to 6 seats at the bar. Service is always great and prompt. 5 stars.

I was particularly impressed that our waitress repeatedly thanked us for waiting. We were never waiting for an unreasonable amount of time, but I appreciated her acknowledging us. This acknowledgment is very rare, even at higher end restaurants. The food was very good, especially my curry karaage ramen. The lunch combos are great values for the amount and variety of food in one set. I would definitely recommend this cozy restaurant.

This is my new favorite ramen place. First I want to get the curry rice but when I saw the picture of the ramen and what our neighbor table ordered, I couldnt help getting one even though I had ramen a couple days ago. The result? Fantastic! It is not a fancy or unique flavor, but it is rich and bold. The portion is big even comparing among ramens. The restaurant is not busy so I have a good time catching up with my friends comfortably. The staff is also friendly and considerate (hot tea, get the appetizer order out first, etc). I will come back again for sure!

I have not found any ramen restaurant that I like in the Bay Area and now I have!!! Absolutely delightful ramen, the pork is just divine. We tried the jalapeño ramen, which is very non-traditional but I love it. The restaurant is tiny but service was prompt and courteous. Highly recommended ⭐️

Its the best restaurant in Burlingame. While the environment may not be as glitzy as elsewhere, the food is phenomenal. Am moving away for work and came back for my last local meal today. This place is a hidden gem ! Me and my wife absolutely love there ramen, we have tried over 50 plus ramen restaurants and this is probably in my top 5. The impossible Japanese curry ramen is my go to and its wonderful, it a hardy curry broth but not over powering with curry flavor and comes with impossible meat katsu which is also amazing. We also always get a order of their spicy vegetarian gyoza . The gyoza are spicy but not over powering. My wife normally gets the spicy vegetarian ramen which is good. Over all this place is amazing or at least the dishes we get are amazing and you should try it if your in the area

Tiny local ramen place. Couldnt get a counter seat but got a table after about 5 minutes of waiting. Kimchi cheesesteak egg rolls were great, could have contained more meat but came out hot so I knew they were freshly rolled before frying. I got medium spicy on my tan tan ramen and it was the perfect amount of heat. Service was very nice. The only awkward part was the partitions they put up between tables of PVC pipe structure wrapped in saran wrap. There is very little room between tables, so the table next to us with an 8 year old who kept getting up frequently bumped it and I would have to stop it from falling onto our table. Appreciate the thought behind it though.

We came in 5 minutes after they opened their doors on a Sunday and only 2 tables (for 2 people) and half the bar were available. Since there were 3 in our group, we decided to sit at the bar instead of trying to squeeze into a 2-person table. A few minutes after we sat down, the place was already packed and groups of people are already forming another line outside. The place is very small but the food is amazing! Very flavorful and filling.I attached pictures of the menu and the food that we ordered. Everything was excellent! I dont think this place would have such a high rating if it was any bigger. They definitely serve quality over quantity!

Its a great place for people who cant decide on ramen vs curry. you can also get curry ramen! their menu is pretty extensive and service is fast. the interior is small and cozy, has a bar, and food is delicious. they also do a huge portion lunch special that comes with a rice of choice AND ramen of choice! street parking is easy.

(More like 3.5 stars) Ive been here two times now. It is a really small restaurant. The first time I went, I had to wait about 30 minutes for a table. This time I did not have to wait at all. Seating is really close together and the kitchen is almost next to you.We ordered the Shoyu ramen with extra noodles and added a chicken teriyaki rice bowl, gyoza, edamame, and a california roll. I really liked that the edamame was hot and salted, and not coldly served. The california roll was uneven, with two pieces almost half the size of the rest. The gyoza was pretty good. The chicken bowl was so dry!! Even with the sauce, the chicken was extremely dry. I would not get it again. The ramen was really good, though. The extra noodles was enough to share between two people; the bowl was huge. Between 3 people, this was enough to make us really full.I would come again if it isnt crowded. The ramen is affordable and they are fast workers. I would not recommend the chicken bowl though!!

Cozy Japanese restaurant in Burlingame on California drive. It is usually busy, small seating area. The ramen was very savory, and I like the size of the noodles which are not too thick, not too thin. The eggs are yummy! We also had the coconut shrimp sushi roll which was also delicious.

The ramen was top notch, no doubt about it. I would go back for that without hesitation and the Japanese curry calls me with its siren song.However, I was a bit annoyed that it took close to 15 minutes for them to take our order and I had to go grab the menus myself. Its a small place and it did get busy after we got there, but they could do a better job taking orders based on when people get there. Setting that aside, definitely going back and hope the service is better next time.

A great find that exceeded my expectations.Its small and crowded, but that kind of adds to the atmosphere. There might also be a short wait but its Well worth it.Getting duck on a stick in ramen was an exotic change I havent experienced before which was cool. Ill give them this, their staff is friendly and attentive, but their ramen is not anything like these reviews say it is.I ordered shio ramen and the broth was flavorless. I had to put a LOT of extra salt in there. Why must l add salt to shio ramen?!? The chasu was cold and so was the soft boiled egg. I mean how the hell is the egg cold? This wasnt room temp, it was out of the fridge cold.Maybe I caught them on an off day, but this was far from good.

Ramen was delicious! Very good unique flavor! Staff was very kind and attentive. Went on a friday night, there was a short wait but it was well worth it. Portion size was great I left very satisfied and full. Very cozy, very inviting. The staff was incredibly kind and patient with me as I asked 3000000 questions about everything on the menu. We finally ordered and ate and as we were settling the bill the chef came out and asked if our food was what we expected. my husband tells me they did the same the last time he was there too. Overall it was an amazing meal with fantastic service. Worth the wait if you end up stuck in line. (We arrived at 545 and were seated immediately. When we left there was a line outside.)

Don’t usually leave reviews, but I received excellent service when coming in from out of town. We have a puppy, but our server was kind enough to set up a table outside for us. I ordered the Miso Ramen and my wife had the jalepeńo ramen. Flavor was sophisticated and well balanced. No flavors overpowered the others. We also ordered Hawaiian garlic edamame and takoyaki. Both were great, but the takoyaki tasted fresh and came hot out of the fryer. Will come back on my next visit.

Perfect spot for a rainy day lunch. They have great lunch specials where you can pick two, a bowl of ramen and a rice bowl. I got the shio ramen and a curry bowl and both were so good! Especially loved the curry bowl. Even though it was supposed to be small sized and lunch portion, I felt satisfied and I normally eat a lot. Love the flavors of both. Ive visited Japan a total of 9 times so far, Im sure theres more to come, and have spent over 8 months there in total. One of the things I miss most is the food!! More specifically, the Japanese curry. #DELICIOUS And of course, Im uber picky. Finding this place was like winning the little of ramen and curry. Ive tried 6 dishes so far and nothing has been less than divine. I love that its a little hole-in-the-wall. Seating is limited and parking can be tricky, but its worth the walk and the wait. The ramen broth is full of flavor and the curry gives me cravings on the regular - you wont regret coming here!

My favorite place for Ramen. The owner says they have a process with the water to make their Ramen more healthy and delicious. I dont know but I have been to many Ramen places and this place is the best for food. Its a smaller place inside but reminiscent of what you would find tucked away in a neighborhood in Tokyo. Open kitchen, bar and booth seating. The ramen selection is surprisingly large and diverse. Come Hungry, portions are large. The kitchen is a symphony of motion as they pump out bowl after bowl of Ramen and a good selection of other Japanese foods. The owner is on-site and keeps a sharp eye out for quality. Service is quick, efficient and flavorful. Only Con is sometimes there is a wait due to seating limitations. For an authentic slice of Japan, this is it. Highly recommend.

Great noodles. If you get pork in your ramen it is a big chunk of crispy pork on the bone! Delicious! We also got pork katsu curry and it was hearty and yummy. The edamame was fresh, hot, and well salted.My only complaint is that I tried out the house special tan tan broth (sesame based) and I wasnt a big fan of it. Usually I like miso broth, so next time I will have to try that. My expectation is that it would be very good.

Veggie ramen with sesame broth was delicious. Came with spinach, corn, bean sprouts, sea-weed and crispy onions. Got tofu extra. Enough for 2 meals for sure. It was not too salty or heavy. This doesnt bother me, but it may not work for some people.Its also ALWAYS busy, which I think is a great sign. Rightfully so, because the food is incredible. You really cant go wrong here... I love this place! A small little corner of a restaurant with banging food. The curry is outrageous and something you should go for if you need some comfort food. The ramen is pretty good however the noodles were not completely to my liking. Ma-yu is my favorite as you get a large portion of pork served on the bone in your soup, Hanabis eggs are also possibly my favorite egg Ive had in my ramen. The broth is always delicious and always full of flavor. The Katsu Curry Rice was pretty good. The chicken was a bit over done, but the curry sauce is very tasty. Its a bit expensive ($14.25) for what it is. My wife had the ramen version, also $14.25. I literally just came from lunch at Hannabi. Even though its so close to me, today was the first time I try it.First of all the place is tiny!! I came around 1:15 and there was a couple empty places at the bar and one empty table. I had the the #2 ramen (soy sauce) and added the flavored egg.First of all, the portions are smaller than other ramen places in the area. That being said, the actual ramen was really good, not mind-blowing good but really good.The broth was rich and tasty, the corn is most delicious thing ever. Unlike other places its roasted here. The noodles were good, so was the pork and fried onions on top. Our family of 4 eats here at least once a month. The miso ramen is so satisfying, especially with a perfectly prepared soft boiled egg. The small lunch of a mini ramen and California roll is the right size meal for my 6-year-old son, and my 2-year-old gets most of the edamame appetizer and a pile of my extra ramen noodles. Friendly staff, kids seats, kids bowls and utensils, Disney channel on the TV, and lollipops on the way out mean the kids are just as happy to eat there as we are. I recommend getting there before noon on the weekend for lunch or you will have a small wait, but its never a huge line.
