2024-03-18 05:16:35This is kind of an out of the way spot which is taking over an old pho restaurant.I flew in late to Oakland airport, I need something warm and homey. Frankly, I was itching for a good ramen. Having lived in the Bay Area many years, I knew I could find something like that. This place wasnt too far off of my path, and it was late and they were still open.Walking in the place is fairly unassuming, yet there is still some customers there. Almost that closing. I asked quickly if it was too late to grab a ramen, the kind gal could be said please have a seat.Looking around, I saw several tables that were covered with dirty dishes and uneaten food. Well that wasnt necessarily a great first impression, at least they had a good rush.Sitting down I received a menu, and a glass of cold water.Looking at the menu there was a variety of ramens to choose from, and so I went to my go-to Tonkotsu. Almost nothing better than a Tonkotsu with Chashu late at night. Done that many times after hours in Tokyo.Anyway I had to add Gyoza as a side to complete it.First come out the gyoza, and their fried on all sides. That is not my first choice, and this is very common when prepared by non-Japanese. I bit in, and while decent, they were not great. But the Ramen came out, and I was very excited. It smelled right, the broth was piping hot, and there was several good pieces of Chashu.First, I sip the broth. It was good and hot. Second, I slurped the noodles, they are firm, warm, and perfect flavor. I grab a little sneak bite of a Chashu, Its warm, nice savory flavor, and a good thick piece. Im pleased. I dive in. Before I knew it the ramen was gone, Gyoza, pretty much gone, and I was very full. The broth was nice and hardy, with a savory thick flavor, and simply it was a calming experience before hitting the hotel. For me my final question is always would I go back? The answer is a definite yes. Though I probably would not get the gyoza. But if youre looking for a good ramen, I recommend.

2024-02-18 07:05:06Got the tonkotsu ramen with spicy pork broth. I’d say it was pretty average flavor wise, and had a very low spice level. Not what I was expecting. Tons of other ramen places that are better in the area. We got take out, but the ambience at the restaurant was pretty cute.

2023-04-21 02:02:41I have been to Hanami several times and everything it’s delicious, my kids love the fresh and warm edemame soybeans and the Gyoza potstickers. We like the poke bowls and the different types of ramens with the option to choose your broth flavors. It a great atmosphere, calming, they have very professional and polite staff.Prices are reasonable for the great quality of food you are getting. I highly recommend it.

2022-03-12 23:37:02Stopped in for lunch and had a delightful meal. Items were fresh and perfectly cooked. My partner got the Ramen tonkotsu which had deep and well layered broth with roasted garlic tones spilling out of every spoon full. I had a bento box of chicken katsu and California rolls. Service was attentive and friendly. Will definitely be coming back for more.

2024-01-20 21:57:45Food it delicious, fish very fresh. Service was ok on a Saturday afternoon. But the place is noisy with equipment and refrigerators. Not a good place for a quiet meal. However, the poke bowl selection is incredible and their ingredients, especially the pickled vegetables were AMAZING and snappy. Give this place a try, you won’t regret it.

2024-03-08 21:20:34Very aesthetic restaurant! The ramen is really good not very salty, good for people with high blood pressure! Chashu is among the best Ive had, extremely fatty and melt in your mouth! I would go again to try the sushi.
