Hanami Sushi in Morgan Hill

Fish was very fresh - on par with the fresh fish I had while living in Hawaii. The service was great - the waitresses were very attentive and friendly. This place is a hidden gem for sure 🤘My family and I will definitely be back again and again even though its a good 1 hour from home!

Our go to dinner out is Hanami. Family owned and operated, they always treat us like family. The servers are very helpful, the Sushi is awesome! Always fresh and delicious! Thanks Janet and family for taking such great care of us when we dine with you.

They have indoor dining now, plus take out, no delivery. Food is still delicious and fresh.Update 4/30/2022: Very busy because the food is delicious! Good service. Definitely recommend! Update 8/27/2022: Vegetarian Yakisoba Noodles fantastic. California Roll fantastic. Tempura, Gyoza, Chicken Katsu fantastic.

Waited over an hour and a half just to end up cancelling our order because they hadn’t even begun to prepare our sushi. The staff was very obviously overworked, and the very little food that we did receive was bland at best. Super disappointed. If you want to support a local sushi business I’d recommend Sushi Nara or Creasian instead.

Excellent sushi! They have a great selection of rolls and cuisine to pick from. The curry rice is actually a sauce with veggies in it with rice, not a curry spice flavored rice as we were expecting. It was amazing! We ate every last bite.We had the spicy josh roll, green beast roll, crunch roll, hokai roll, golden California roll, rainbow roll, dragon roll, and Hamachi kama.Everything was excellent! We will definitely be back for the green beast, crunch roll, spicy josh roll, rainbow roll, and the curry rice. Next time, we will try some new rolls and get the pork katsuThe waitress and owner service can be spotty, so sometimes we get super friendly, and other days, we feel like we are just a number they want to hurry and get us out for the next number

Food is decent, but if you ever come here to eat during an evening, be prepared to WAIT. They clearly prioritize takeout orders. 30+ mins to even have our order taken, and it took over an hour and a half for us to get our food. We left before even receiving all of it as it was clear they hadn’t even started making it yet.

We went here for lunch and I ordered a couple sushi rolls. They were the worst constructed sushi rolls I have ever had. They were loose and they fell apart when I tried to pick them up. I got so frustrated that I didnt bother to finish eating them. How could I when they literally fell apart, which made it extremely difficult to eat them with chopsticks.

I found Hanami Sushi on Google Maps after I had dropped my car off over at the nearby Ford Store for regular maintenance.I walked over at around 11:15 a.m., easily sat down & was waited on immediately. I ordered the yam sushi roll and the chicken teriyaki lunch special -- and everything was absolutely amazing🤩😍🥰. I will definitely go back!

I tried the Spicy Josh because it was highly recommended in a previous Yelp review by Lex. I also tried the Crazy roll and the Green Beast roll. Lex was spot on for recommending the Spicy Josh roll, it was delicious! The Green Beast roll is also a highly recommendable roll. The only roll I wasn’t too crazy about was the Crazy roll. After having the Spicy Josh roll and Green Beast roll, the Crazy roll just didn’t feel like it had enough kick to it. If I would have eaten all of the Crazy roll before I tried the other two rolls I probably would have been more crazy about it. The problem is that I kept interchanging between all the rolls. Every time I took a bite of the Crazy roll I kept thinking about the other two rolls. Anyways, I would highly recommend the Spicy Josh roll and Green Beast roll. I would lowly recommend the Crazy roll, especially if you’re going to get it with the other two rolls.

Probably better to avoid this place. Although the food was decent, the waitress was slow, inattentive and not friendly. Considering the higher meal cost for sushi you would do better to avoid this place and try a different one. Not a good value.
