Best naengmyeon galbi combo! Great local option. Its in the plaza with the Albertson. Service is fast and freindly. Most important the food is very very tasty. Will be coming back to try more things. (Peanut alert. Just ask them if its in a dish. They dont use peanut oil or butter in their food.)

Great place to have some good Korean food. Everything is presented well and good value for the money. Good service and never crowded. Lunch specials Tues-Friday give you a taste of a bit of everything. Been here about 4 times and it is consistent.

The REAL deal authentic Korean Restaurant.This was a rare find in the OC area. Korean food selection and quality has steadily been improving here in the OC but no where close to what they have in LA (the og Korea Town).First thing you will notice is the openness of the well lit restaurant and clean environment. Definitely designed so that they can see their customer and serve. Second, the quality of Kimchi speaks volume. You know its a good Italian restaurant when they serve you amazingly fresh bread with high quality olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Kimchi is like that in a Korean restaurant. It means they care about what they put on the table and profit is not their priorities but quality is.Their Cold Noodle is out of this world. Must try, I finished a full bowl even after my main dish. Its that good. Every dish was well thought out and prepared with utmost care. Top quality ingredients and freshness could not go unnoticed.Feels like home cooked meal made by your mother on your birthday.Thank you for the wonderful and flavorful experience. Hats off to the chef!

This place was amazing! I have not been to any Korean restaurants before but HanBop set a high bar. The service and food were both amazing. I had Bibimbop and my wife had dumping soup. Both were amazing. Plus all the sides that served before the entrees were delicious as well. Plus the prices were reasonable.Highly recommend

Great Korean food! There was a bit of a wait for food, but everyone working there was so kind. The spicy rice cakes were delicious! The salmon was great and served with a bunch of onions on a hot plate. My favorite was the vegetable kimbap. It tasted so fresh and good and I want to go back for it. The kimchi stew was very spicy but their kimchi is fresh and not fishy. I also loved the side dishes, the miso soup was amazing. Will definitely go back.

I was here on 1/25 between lunch and dinner. A few days after they opened. The restaurant was very clean. The service was excellent, very punctual, friendly, and accurate. They even gave us complimentary korean popcorn chicken. It was so amazing and fresh! Sweet and a little spicy. All the Korean sides were good, the kim chi had a little spice and a good crunch to it. I ordered the bulgogi (beef) and It was served sizzling! It was flavorful, fresh, and sweet. My daughter ordered the yuk gae jang and she loved it. This is her favorite korean dish. We will definitely be back soon.

You can usually prejudge a Korean restaurant by the banchan that comes with your food and HanBop nails it. You can really taste what Koreans call sohn-mat (hand taste), when that certain flavor is there, feels like mommas cooking. Menu is a bit all over the place but not in a bad way. Korean staples like bo-ssam and spicy chicken touches you right in the mouth hole. Worth a try if youve been watching Kdramas and wanna taste some of the food you see them eating. Gooooo nowwwww!

I was impressed by the food that it was served! Very nice, casual Korean restaurant. Dont be fooled by the small place, its delicious! Many choices served fresh made to order. All I was missing was a little background music to be there perfect little place. Overall it was very enjoyable!

Ordered bossam and spicy pork bulgogi combo and it was amazing. The service was amazing. I went to go pick it up and the server was friendly and welcoming. The food was very good. The meat portions were large and filling and was delicious. I would definitely reorder from here again.

Who knew such good Korean food was in Lake Forest? This place serves a pretty good variety of dishes and everything we had was good!The food is clean - tastes likes my moms home cooking. The galbi jim was especially delicious. Had I not known better, I wouldve thought my own mom was making this in their kitchen.The kimchi jeon was crispy and well portioned.The rose ddukboki was good, though, I think it couldve used some more creamy/cheesiness.The beef kimbop was solid, what I would expect from any normal kimbop spot in Korea.This place has some great, authentic Korean dishes and well definitely be coming here often.

It was the best Korean food that I had in Irvine! You must try it. I ate hwe-dup-bap, sashimi with rice. It is really delicious! I tried padak, the popcorn chicken, as well and it was great too. It became my favorite restaurant to go when I eat out.

The food is delicious and authentic. I usually eat lunch in the area and I consistently find at least one or two tables with older folks speaking in Korean.Today, there are more than half of the tables with young and old speaking Korean.

We arrived their afternoon closing time, but the owner took our orders gladly. We ordered combo Nangmyuns and Kimchi stew. It was really great and decent flavors. Most Korean restaurants they put too many sugars on their menu, but this restaurant use less sugar, though. Their bossam meat and Kimchi was best combo as well. Definitely, we will come back again.

Woah, this place has great Korean food. Im definitely coming back for more. It seemed pretty authentic, unpretentious, but severely delicious. Good mix of Korean street food, togo boxes, Korean rolls / sushi, and classic dishes. No in-table bbq that I saw, but man, the food was really good. Ill be coming back soon. Prices very reasonable.

I visited Hanbop Kitchen yesterday and was quite impressed by the quality of their Korean food, the hospitable service, and the very reasonable prices. The Bulgogi and Galbi were both delicious and cooked to perfection, but the real standout for me was their Kimchi. It was THE best Kimchi I have ever had, and I have tried many Korean restaurants in the LA Koreatown and OC areas. The service was also outstanding, with the staff being friendly, attentive, and genuinely interested in making sure our dining experience was enjoyable. But what really stood out to me was the great value for the money. The prices were very reasonable, and the portions were generous. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic and delicious Korean food. Overall, it was a great dining experience and I am looking forward to my next visit.

Pretty good for the middle of the burbs. Korean people eat here.For me personally I think everything is too sweet. The banchan, bulgogi, pork bulgogi, tteok bokki, bibimbap even the kimchi tchigae because the beef they used was the marinated meet from bulgogi.They serve you an iceberg lettuce salad with a nice sesame dressing.We got 4 banchan per four people. They had kimchi, pickled jalapeño/celery, fish cake, and potato salad.Tteok bokki was sweet and I think the portion was small.Kimchi tchigae is just kimchi and meat, no tofu or rice cake.Meat and other entrees were good for one really hungry person or two people who don’t eat a lot.The spicy isn’t really very spicy so if you’re a heat wimp this is a good place to go.Service is good and they will refill your banchan. It’s a cute place and very clean. They can seat parties as large as 8 and could probably do 5 parties of 8 if I remember correctly.Easiest way to find them is they’re right in front of the Albertsons.
