This was my first time eating at the hangar and I was really pleased with everything about the experience. The blueberry pancakes were just stuck with blueberries and all the food was cooked perfectly! The waitresses were friendly and bubbly and the service was excellent! Will definitely be going back! What a cute place! My boyfriend and I came to celebrate his birthday on Wednesday morning with breakfast. The service was amazing and the food, too! We ordered and promptly there after our food arrived. We will be frequenting this hidden gem more often after our awesome experience!

Visited this place this morning. Small but very nice. Clean and the staff are nice. Seems like a lot of the locals come here. Great biscuits and gravy and the Apple fritter was very yummy! Location is next to Cal Fires Base. Lots of history at this airport. They have a outdoor patio if you choose to sit outside and check out the planes taxiing to the runway. Definitely will come through again when in Hemet.👍😊

Food was very good! I had the Kentucky hot brown, I wish it came with a few more tomatoes. We were a party of 9 and they set us right away. The place is small but cozy, cute decor and the staff is super friendly. The airplanes outside is just the cherry on the top.Thank you for a great Mother’s Day breakfast.

Theres always a daily special. Blueberry pancakes eggs sausage coffee, perfect for an overcast chilly morning. No need to ask for anything the staff is attentive to the needs. Old fashioned Cafe atmosphere. Thanks, all of you who keep this place alive.

This restaurant is located at a small airport. Pretty cool. Not very big so there may be a wait. We sat on the patio because we had out doggies. We both ordered the ham steak and eggs. Ham was nice and thick. Good flavor. Eggs nice and fresh. Potatoes were a little undercooked and didnt have much flavor. Pancake was tasty. Good service. Locals hangout for sure.

My my goodness! Bambis cafe is the best place around. Award winning apple pie is delicious and tasty I have ever had in many years. Very friendly and quaint atmosphere. Enjoy your food while watching the planes fly in and out. Love the food and great service!

My husband and I love this place it has a home like feel and we love all of the staff here. It’s a perfect place for an American home-style breakfast we just ride our bikes over and sit on the porch and joke around with Kris. I would highly recommend you give this place a visit.

From hearty bacon and eggs to mouthwaterin burgers, theyve got it all. And let me tell ya, the prices are so reasonable, its like theyre still in the 1930s.Now, heres the kicker, partner. This place is smack-dab in the middle of the airport! You dont even need to hop in your plane to get a good meal. Just taxi on over, and youre ready to chow down. Best breakfast I have had in many years. Wonderful people working there that made it feel like home. Love the airplane models and pictures and the view of the airfield. This is a one of a kind special place and you get to eat with pilots and airplane people.

This is really a fun place for your $100 hamburger. Easy to find off of a filled with plenty of transient parking. If you are not a flyer I still recommend coming to this little cafe.

We were so excited to try the food after the reviews, but were let down. Everything we wanted to try - they were out of. I had the special (chicken and cranberry salad sandwich) which was not special - it was extremely bland and mushy. My husband had a hamburger and said it was okay, but nothing special. I was looking forward to pie for desert, but they were out of that also. $27 for the two sandwiches was much over priced for the quality. The waitress was nice and attentive and the place was cute with an airplane decor. I don’t think we will be back again.

Ill just say it this way: I love Hangar One. Theres just something idyllic and iconic about eating at a little diner on the outskirts of town located on a still active airstrip that served as a training base for WWII pilots. The food is homemade style and served in a timely manner by friendly staff. Just make sure on clear sky days to get there early before the pilots swoop in and gobble up all the biscuits and gravy 😊 Be sure to leave room for a slice of one of Bambis pies! 🥧

I wish I could rate more than 5 stars! We flew in for breakfast and had a wonderful time. Breakfast food can be difficult to get right, and these guys definitely know what they’re doing. Everything from the eggs to the pancakes were amazing. I was shocked how quickly our order was prepared, it had to be less than 5 minutes and we had our food. Highly recommend!

My favorite breakfast spot in Hemet. Food is great and the location next to the hangars at Hemet-Ryan Airport s befitting of the aeronautical motif in the design of the cafe. This place gets crowded at times but it is well worth the wait.

This was our first time visting the Hangar One Cafe and I must say the atmosphere was warm and welcoming and the food was pretty good. The only down side is the restaurant is really small and not much seating inside or outside. You can tell the restaurant was well known to the locals and a place for people to eat and socialize. I would go back and recommend it to my friends.

Great food (the jalapeno bacon BLT is outstanding). The prices are really reasonable. The atmosphere is all aero related (go figure). Its a small place so plan accordingly. There is a sign stating due to limited seating, there is a 45 minute limit on seating. The staff is wonderful.

The service was horrible. The food was overpriced and the coffee sucked. I have lived in Hemet for over 30 years and decided to try this place because I’ve heard good things about it. The waitress was more interested in talking to the apparent regulars and refilling my coffee cup which Didn’t get filled only when she brought it to me. I had eggs Benedict and it was pretty good but not worth $15. I might try it again but not anytime soon

Its a very small cafe near the airport. It does have outside seating, but that section was not open the day I went. I think it was too hot of a day! The food was served very quickly, the waitstaff was friendly and attentive. I really enjoyed my meal. Sorry, I dont remember what it was called, but it was under hot sandwiches and had a notation next to it saying you have to try it or something along those lines.... I look forward to going back. And yes, the prices are reasonable.

Sat at their counter, for most part nice employees, but the owner, treated her employees wrong, not only putting them down, but we seen her touch customers food with her hands, let alone she never washed her hands, after touching money . First time, last time for for us, portions also smaller than normal. For what we saw in front of our eyes, I would not recommend this place, unless you really want to get sick.

I always love coming here. The food is freshly made, the staff is polite and friendly and its a very clean place to eat. On top of that, you can see the airplanes come in and take off! Cute spot! My almost 4 year old loved the few times he got to see the planes move around. Food was delicious and the portions were generous. I had the Kentucky Hot Brown - Id never had anything like it before and it was seriously tasty. Theres no kids menu, but there are a few kid-friendly options. Ice Tea couldve been brewed a little stronger. But the staff was friendly and the atmosphere was comfortable.

Best restaurant in Hemet. If Bamby has made a dsesrt you will be happy she did. Best Pear in a light crust with caramel I have ever had. The waitresses a fun and truly lovely women. Hands down this is the best restaurant in the San Jacinto and Hemet Valley.You also get the joy of Watching airplanes take off and land. They have a back patio that looks at the runway. This is a clicky type of cafe since it is mostly for pilots and their customers or crew but they accept anyone who walks through the door as family; seating is limited inside but there is also a covered porch outside, sort of a nostalgic type of place I would say. Service is good, food is good but nothing frilly or fancy, just the basics which is okay but a little on the pricey side for what you get. This would be the type of place where everyone knows your name if you chose to go in enough which has been lost to commercial type franchising. If you want to experience a down-to-earth atmosphere, simple menu and take a step back in time or just watch the planes coming in or going out (fun for the kids) type of dining then this is the place! they do not serve dinner as they close at 2:30 p.m.

Very worth the Hobbs. The Tango is incredible (Tamale with eggs) and the Mustang (banana bread French toast) was the best sweet breakfast Ive had all year. The service was perfect, too. Cant think of anything to complain about and plan on coming back many times.

This is my favorite place in the United States. My last visit was very nice and very comfortable in spite of having our little girl with us Who got cranky right at the end. I know 2 year olds are not the most pleasant customers to have at a restaurant. I travel all the way from Nevada just to come to this place is often as I can. The last time I tried to visit Was Extremely unpleasant. I dont think the waitress with the chunky highlights and a Bob haircut ever recognizes me which is understandable because Im technically not a regular. That day in particular she didnt recognize me at all. The restaurant was almost empty. She had told us that there wouldnt be any Room for the group we were expecting. Our group would be 6 people total and my little girl then was not even a year old. She also said they did not have any high chairs and that if I brought my stroller it would be against fire code. I dont understand what mood she was in to tell us this or treat us this way. I quickly called my group and took them somewhere else. I thought really stupid because I had talked this place up so much. I was so upset that I told myself I would never come here ever again. Anyway this time around Im super pregnant and was craving French toast like never before. I got over my disappointment and convinced my husband to take me before we drove back home. I didnt get anyones name but it was around 11ish on a Wednesday...I think. Whoever it was was AMAZING and I have re established my faith in my favorite place! I travel all over the world so I really mean it when I say this was and now us again my favorite place!

Bambi’s is a quaint airport diner at Hemet Airport. You can watch the airplanes come and go from the outside patio. We flew in for breakfast and parked the plane right beside the restaurant. It has great food, service, and charm.

My go to spot when I am looking for a great place to have breakfast or lunch here in Hemetonia. The atmosphere is great, friendly old people who arent depressing, its secluded from the city which keeps the Money Hungry Hemetonian Hobos away, and it offers a good view of all the old folks driving their expensive toys down the runway.The food is delicious as well. I usually go for the tamale with egg; that is if they do not have a great special(which they usually do). For under 8 dollars a plate, you get a decent amount of food.The only downside to this place is that flies are a nuisance during bug season. Moreover, they should add more seats outside to take advantage of the runway view. But all in all, this place beats out all the cafes I have been to in Hemet. Its on par if not better when it comes to atmosphere, taste, service, and value. Try this place out, it will probably give you the best view in Hemet, without leaving Hemet; which may seem impossible, but youll get what I mean .

They are really bad the food was nasty they had my sister in there working for them. Bambi the owner was paying my sister under table and the workers there were horrible and rude to other workers like they are the boss and rude to other customers as well!!!

Former employee who watched prep cook Karen drop a ham steak on the ground and pick it up cooked it and served it to a customer out of fear of losing my job I was told not to say anything to the bosses once I did I lost my job and was called a liar so if you wonder why your food was bad that might be the reason why.....p.s. it was all on camera too and she still works there strongly for not recommend unless you’d like to get food poisoning
