This place is a hidden gem! Ive been craving musubi ever since my trip to Honolulu. This place has satisfied those cravings! Its best to order ahead (days in advance) and pick up the day of. They only open on Fridays and Saturdays.

A good quality Musubi is sooo underrated and Hapa provides deliciousness seaweed wrapped sandwiches? (is it technically a sandwich?)So we ordered a variety of different musubis: Cucumber & Spam, Chicken Katsu, & the original Spam.... all of which tasted delicious and would order it again!@phidingthefam

Hard to see small shop inside a parking lot that sells different musubis. Not the cheapest musubi but they are very well put together and you can tell care was put into the presentation. Currently no dine in options and theres online ordering available if you want to do pickup.Chicken katsu musubi ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️: the pickled cabbage was a really nice touch that added some acidity. Chicken was well cooked and was juicy.Shrimp tempura musubi ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️: actually a fair amount of tempura shrimp and it was also well cooked and the unagi sauce was a nice touch.

Found this place while searching for a musubi spot. I ordered online on their website and it said it would take 30 minutes. I was in the area so I went straight over and my order was already ready, about 10 minutes. I ordered the 3 different musubi, shrimp tempura, pineapple and spam, and California. They were all so good and at extremely reasonable prices. My kids even liked them. Im sad Im just finding out about this place after COVID made them close their spot downtown. So now they are only open 2 days, Friday and Saturday. I will definitely be back.

Delicious food and good service. My favorites were the spam and egg, and California roll musubis.Edit: came back and tried their loco moco and ono mix box. Both were really good as well!

The FoodMusubi is a pretty popular quick snack found in most Hawaiian restaurants. But it is uncommon to have a location that specialize in the snack, until Hapa Musubi opened. They specialize only in musubi, a simple Hawaiian and Japanese influenced meal. With a variety of options, I got several to try.- Chicken Teriyaki- Pineapple & Spam- Chicken Katsu- Cali RollThey were all pretty good, but I liked the Cali Roll and Pineapple & Spam the best. There are still quite a bit of other options so Ill need to return to try the others.The MiscellaneousHapa Musubi is within the shops of downtown, so getting by foot will be easier than by car. The inside is not big, but there are seating for those who want to sit down for a bite. The interior have quite the coloring and aesthetic, along with, quite literally, a wall of spam. They have a good selection of musubi to choose from, along with some side items. They prices are not bad, though I wish they were lower, it reasonable for downtown. Definitely recommend to give it a try if you are around the area.

Randomly discovered this place while looking for places to eat on Google. We ordered the chicken katsu, original, and spam with egg musubi along with the garlic shrimp rice place. The food is amaaazzzing! Really brought memories of Hawaii.Pro tip: order food on their website for pickup. Its much easier and convenient than ordering in person.

Really good spam musubi that beats out the ones u can get in poke places/boba shops at a relatively decent price. They got some variety with the musubi and fill ins.Hours and ordering are a little confusing. You gotta order/preorder on their website, and they are only open from Thursday to Saturday from 11 am to 2:45 (3:15 pm on saturday). Additionally, the Saturday menu has riceplates as well. You can show up in person and order at their site, but they only recommend that if you are doing small orders.

Oh man, I ate four different Musubi: Shrimp Tempura, Teriyaki Chicken, Chicken Katsu and Bacon, Egg & Spam. They were all good, but I really enjoyed the Teriyaki Chicken Musubi the best. I have more, but Im now super full.An average person will probably be full from eating two, but I love these,so I went all out. Worth it!

Delicious musubi! Great place to come by and grab a snack. Interior is very cute. When you come in, you grab a tray and pick out your own musubi. If there is a musubi shelf that is empty, the staff will gladly make it for you! This place is great! A genuine Hawaiian spot tucked away in an industrial area near the Milpitas BART. A good Hawaiian restaurant is hard to find in the area, so I was happy to find Hapa Musubi has great items. I ordered the loco moco (with extra gravy), spam fried rice, chicken Katsu musubi, and a side of macaroni salad. All of these items were delicious and reminded me of food back home in Hawaii. I also got a bottle Taiwanese milk tea, which was great, though no boba here. Theres also an extra large bottle, if you want more in your fridge. Definitely check this place out.

Late post but I loved Hapa Musubi. Went here right before the Covid19 crisis. I lived in Hawaii for several years and was so excited to find a place in San Jose dedicated to musubi! The musubi was delicious and the packaging was so cute. They have several different options. Everything from traditional, to katsu, to vegetarian versions. Parking was a little challenging. Inside there are a few tables to take your musubi and chow down. Lots of decor suited to instagram pics if thats your thing. They also have some Hawaii Suns. Delicious!

The garlic shrimp at Hapa Musubi was one of the best shrimp dishes I’ve ever had. I haven’t had garlic shrimp in Hawaii before, but other reviewers had mentioned that Hapa Musubi’s interpretation compares favorably and I believe them. The musubi wasn’t mind-blowing, but the garlicky shrimp was more than enough to carry the meal.

A fantastic quick-lunch addition to downtown! Ive had the Spam & Pineapple and the Tofu Katsu so far, both were delicious (the tofu one was a little soggy from the sauce, but still delicious). Prices are great and two musubi makes a perfect lunch portion. Im hoping to have a reason to order their catering in the future!

Great food, a bit expensive for students but it tastes amazing, so like. It is what it is. Its less expensive than regular sushi but it tastes as scrumptious as famous sushi shops. The staffs are incredibly nice and helpful, as well. Its definitely a must go for comfort foods.

I would consider this food better than standard diner food. I ordered the mexican omelette and enjoyed it. The chorizo was really good. My only issue with it was that it wasnt really an omelette. The egg part was cooked well and blanketed over the pile of omelette insides. My boyfriend enjoyed his burrito, but made the mistake of eating the entire thing (it is huge!).

Awesome find. Hands down the best mac salad, its so well seasoned! Love the musubi we picked up. Flavors were so great, and the rice was perfect. Also the POG is out of this world. Just sad that Eat on Monday is closed on..... Mondays.

They are fancy Musubi and are priced accordingly. Simple, bright atmosphere. My negative was that I ask for parking validation and when I was trying to leave the garage I found out they didnt actually validate the ticket. Left a bad impression of the place.
