Wonderful ayce hot pot. We love Happy Lamb. It does tend to get busy during lunch hour before their break. Id suggest going before the peak hours.

Much better than the Fremont/Union City one, bigger and better self-serve counter with veggies, fish meat and sauces. They give more meat per plate and most things are fresher. There are less people here (usually), servers are nicer and service is faster. It is an extra 10-20mins drive for us but Im coming here in the future for sure.Totally recommend!

On a weekday evening, we went to a buffet where the price was less than $30. The vegetables and sliced beef and lamb were all very fresh. There was a wide variety of self-serve meats, such as shrimp, beef tripe, and meatballs, which you had to take yourself. For sliced meats, you had to place an order with the waiter. They provided some staple foods like fried noodles, fried rice, and sesame balls. Unfortunately, the ice cream machine was not operational. We chose the split pot, and the taste was quite good. The waiters were friendly, and if some dishes were finished, we just had to inform them, and they would promptly replenish them. However, there were only four types of sauces for the dipping dishes, and no options like green onions or cilantro or other fancy sauces.

We came here for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon and its wasnt crowded. It is all you can eat hot pot and you can pick any item from their all-you-can-eat lunch menu. The menu has variety of soup base, different kinds of meat, seafood, vegetables, and various tofu, fish ball, etc. We ordered the split soup base with half of the original and half of the spicy. We also ordered quite a variety of items including beef, pork, lamb, shrimp, fish, various vegetables, tofu, fried tofu, mushroom, fish cake, etc. The soup was quite flavorful and we didnt need any other condiments. All the ingredients were fresh and of good quality. Since it wasnt crowded, were able to take our time and enjoyed the lunch. The service was prompt and friendly. Overall it was a very good meal and excellent value. We all enjoyed the lunch very much.

My first bite into the chicken from the buffet (not the wings) had a huge bone, the meat seemed subpar, rice undercooked, servers were a bit rude to my family when trying to find a seat for us. The buffet didnt seem very well kept or clean, labels were all over the place and I with dietary restrictions was afraid I would eat the wrong thing. The soup itself was good, hot and flavorful. Unfortunately, the experience didnt work for me but if you like hotpot you might like this. The actual setup was not great, not much room to walk around since they had little stands where they put the meet for you instead of on the table itself, making walking space limited.

Favorite hot pot in the east bay! It gets very busy on the weekends so expect a wait. It’s odd that the buffet area is so close by the entrance where people are waiting, knocked off a star for that. The servers are very friendly, dinner is $29 a person and includes buffet items, soda and ice cream. Plus all of their broths are vegetarian or chicken beef based so no worries of pork there (for those that don’t eat it). They also charge per person if you get a bowl of sauce at the buffet, so maybe worth sharing if you have the same taste in that.

Havent been here since before the pandemic and it was just as tasty as I remember! Very clean and well lit. Staff was friendly and quick. All the food was very fresh and served beautifully. We particularly enjoyed the sesame bun, the mushroom platter and the pork dumplings. We brought five kids with us of varying levels of pickiness and even the most picky enjoyed the noodles! I think the experience of cooking the noodles in rich, bubbly broth added to their willingness to try it. Highly recommend!

The lunch was amazing with the original and tomato based broths and assorted veggies. Ordered a few extra dishes like the shrimp paste, silken tofu and broccoli. Decor was modern and clean and the service was excellent and friendly. No hosted sauce bar. Each cost $0.75 per dish.
