Love this place. The hot and sour soup is good as are the pork buns.The mu shu chicken is excellent. We really like the snow pea dish. We always order too much food so we can have leftovers the next day.The staff is pleasant and friendly. We will eat there again when we come back in December.❤️

I came in for lunch around 3pm on a Tuesday. I have no problem with the food, as I only ordered a vegetable chow mein. The lady was very rude. Does it hurt to greet your customers and smile? I mean, her energy is negative, stoic, and frankly, miserable. She could definitely use some work in the customer service dept. I tried doing what I could to lift her spirits, even saying Thank you in her presumed native language, but that didnt even bring a smile. Meh. I guess Ill take my service elsewhere, as they arent the only place that makes chow mein.

Chinese food is my favorite and Im always on the hunt for a new place to satisfy my craving. The Happy Wok is good, but not a place Ill go back again. The chicken used in both dishes is thigh meat. All the pieces were dark and chewy. The chow mein noodles were heavy and fill you up fast. Nothin but judgement. Staff was incredibly rude. We felt rushed. Small family of 4, got looked at several times, and to top it all off, 2 of us got pretty bad food poisoning off of the fried rice. Would not recommend

Good food and awesome authentic decor.My plate came came with a single deeped fried shrimp on the side, which was not detailed on the menu. I am alergic to shrimp and was worried some of the food had been contaminated. The server offered to replace the shrimp with an eggroll and it all went down smooth!

Always tastes fresh with quality ingredients. We called ahead warning we had a large party and they accommodated us. The timing from ordering food to it appearing and nothing forgot was perfect. Service was great!

I wont go here again and heres why:(1) the deep fried shrimp breading was thicker than the shrimp within and dry enough to need a chaser;(2) the clump of white rice was lukewarm;(3) the fountain cola receding header, and server, revealed a third less than full cup, this as I noticed the owner at a corner table was nursing a canned coke;(4) a $3.00 card fee(?) was tacked-on the credit card receipt without notice or label.There is no accounting for poor taste and wasteful spending why many gave this place over 2 let alone 4 stars. Not me.

I called my order in over the phone to avoid their automatic service fee for online orders. The woman who took my order told it would be done in 20 minutes. 30 minutes later the woman at the front (not the one with whom I placed my order) decided she could not find my order anywhere and that it must not have been made. (All that timer an Uber eats driver was waiting on an order also... that food was sitting there the entire 10 minutes we had waited there together, just getting cold.I went home. I called on my way home to complain and somehow they had found my food. So, almost all the way home, I turned around and went all the way back (ice cream melting in the car). The lady who took my order was there. She was rude and told me I needed to be nicer, that it was just a mistake. She claimed she had been in the back making my order. When I got home with it (right away) it was cold. I had to put my Chinese take out in the microwave immediately after getting it home. To top it all off, the food is mediocre at best.

The only place in about 15 miles (if you live in Auburn) that has the tastiest little pork buns. Reasonable too! I can get a large soup and pork buns for only 12 bucks. This place is a must. In the winter we come here at least once a week.

Horrible Customer Service! I have eaten at Happy Wok many times in the past but will no longer go back after the experience we had Sunday. We went there for a friends birthday with a large group. Instead of seating us all along the one empty wall tables where we could have sat together (we had 20 people). He sat us at 2 large round tables and one table on the wall. Then when we went to order and told him who was on what check he was extremely rude and told us you should have sit by each other, (hello you seated us this way). He was extremely frustrated and took it out on us the customers. It was very tempting to just get up and walk out but it was our friends birthday so we made the best if a bad situation and laughed it off. The food was good as usual but because of the lack of customer service we will no longer patron this restaurant (thats 20 customers or $200 you could have had on a regular bases)

The lady at the register is horrible. I asked her how her day was going and she looked and me and walked away. Food seemed to have been under a heat lamp or something and my coworker said his food tasted like it was reheated as well. even the steamed rice was crusty. Will not be eating at Happy Wok again and i recommend others refrain from doing so as well. Only went there for lunch because Twin Dragon is closed on Mondays.

However, I’m more disappointed in the quality of the chicken. its not very good at all. I will say though that the vegetables and sauce are very good in all fairness.

Used to be great. Now you have to wait over an hour for food. They will tell you its ready in 20 to 30 mins but it will take over an hour. Happened to us twice. We also had missing items the second time we went in the past few months. Can no longer recommend.

The best chinese food in Auburn so far. We tried three total I think.If you come here you HAVE to get the wor wonton soup, so so so good.My favourite dishes are the roast duck, and the sweet and sour pork, my husband lives the general chicken, and the crispy beef. Everything tastes so good here, even my veterinarian mother in law says the vegetarian meals are excellent.
