It is truly baffling that Harmony restaurant does not have higher ratings. This is the perfect restaurant for its target Marin audience. It is a calm space where food is superb, ingredients are top notch, and the serving and kitchen staff are attentive, efficient, and kind. The service is impeccable. Harmony manages to meld the best of Eastern food and graciousness and Western-oriented customer service for youngsters and oldsters. We greatly enjoyed the shrimp gow, the turnip cakes, the chow fun, the gailan, and the Chinese chicken salad. We had delicious sesame balls for dessert. This is the place that I would bring my parents and my in-laws. It’s calm, delicious, and easy to enjoy.

Great food but Dim Sum quickly adds up when the prices arent listed with the items. Big carry out business.

I ordered the harmony rice ($23 usd) which supposed to come with prawns and pork, I found literally 3 small tiny pieces of overcooked pork and 1 prawn cut in 4 pieces. We told the server and she told me she wasnt the owner. Cheap, bad quality and overpriced. This restaurant was the only bad thing in my Cali trip. Dont waste your money

I really wanted to like this place because the menu has interesting creations for dim sum items, and I like people who push boundaries to discover amazing things. But before you can push anything, you first you have to get the basics down perfectly, and Harmony doesnt deliver, which is especially frustrating at such high prices. I tried the Shanghai dumplings (too small, skin too thick, not enough soup, but decent flavor), the scallop and shrimp siu mai (dry, salty, not worth the upgrade from any pork siu mai), fried eggplant with pork (a bland, greasy, unsuccessful mess), and the sticky rice (also bland, very little meat to too much rice, missing the usual tidbits of Chinese sausage and egg yolk to give it more flavor). I find it hard to recommend any of these dishes when I know I can get much tastier and cheaper versions at less fancy places. Service was fine, if a bit slow even towards the end of the dim sum lunch shift, and the restaurant looks very nice, but unless you really want to try or already like their unique items, Id recommend saving your wallet and going elsewhere for dim sum.

Nice place. Plenty of parking. Located in a shopping center. Large menu. The dumplings were incredible. I got the orange chicken. Plenty of orange flavor coating that country juicy fried chicken. My guests got the kung pao and the salmon with fresh veggies. All raved about the food. Service was a little slow but it was busy. I would definitely patron again.

The food was yummy which normally is the most important aspect of a restaurant review. However, the rest of the experience as a big disappointment. Here are my reasons for the low rating:1. A large section of the menu had no prices next to the entries. When i asked about this the waitress pointed to a small notation at the bottom right of the page with a range that about doubled from lowest to highest amount. Would I have to ask about every item I was considering? This is the regular, full menu. It should provide prices for all the items.2. I ordered an glass of glass of wine with dinner - quite expensive but it was a treat. Very chintzy pour - the glass was smaller and thinner than any other place Ive been in years.3. One of the expensive shrimp dim sum dumplings slipped out from my chopsticks as I brought it to my plate and landed on the floor. When the waitress came by, I pointed it out so she wouldnt step on it. I didnt ask but hoped that she might replace it - as a good customer service gesture. It would cost them pennies while making a very positive impact on a customer. They didnt replace it.Bottom line - food was good enough; everything else was a big disappointment.

Either charge more and provide normal size servings or larger, but don’t charge more and serve up small servings. We normally order from Lam’s Kitchen in Mill Valley but they’re closed on Sundays (I know—go figure) so I picked up from Harmony instead of driving over the hill to DJ’s. Won’t be going back. Not gonna pay a premium for tiny servings. Didn’t taste bad though.

Small portions and high prices. Lams kitchen is a much better place for Chinese food in Mill Valley.
