Haruka Sake and Sushi in La Canada Flintridge

Of all the sushi spots I’ve had, Haruka does an exceptionally amazing job at serving fresh fish to you. The restaurant is well lit and the ambiance was very comforting. It was a jolly good time!Food: amazing!All the dishes tasted fresh and delectable. My personal favorites were the uni shooter and the blue crab handroll. The uni shooter was a mix of all things oyster shots and tenfold - it looks like a lot but the flavors mesh so well with each other leaving a nice vinegar sour and delicious aftertaste. The blue crab handroll had no gaminess and tasted heavenly.Service: great!Everyone was so pleasant and they went around making sure we had all the dishes for us. They went around with waters and cleared plates immediately after we finished. Thank you again!

First time with some friends and I wasn’t disappointed. Friendly staff that recommended me the Sun Kissed Roll, which I did not regret at all! It was fresh salmon and avocado with spicy tuna. Yum 🤤 We got a baked dynamite roll, which was made to perfection. The bento box of Teriyaki chicken, rice and vegetable tempura. Loved the variety vegetables they tempura 👌 Only regret is that I didn’t order dessert. Definitely a place I’ll visit again!

Finally, I got a chance to try the newest sushi place in town. I have been here twice this week. First, I tried the miso soup & the Double Double roll. A perfect portion for a tasty afternoon snack. Then, today, I had a teriyaki salmon Bento Box that had a wonderful variety of tastes & textures, such as shrimp & veggie tempura, California roll, rice, salad that paired nicely with the salmon. It all started with miso soup. I enjoyed every bite! I definitely will be back.

It was newly opened, so I had lunch with my friends yesterday. Haruka means spring fragrance in Japanese. Like the name of the restaurant, Cherry Blossoms welcomed us at the entrance of the door.Friendly service. Fancy and modern interior. The fresh fish is amazing with a nice presentation.It was the best experience for both eyes and mouth. I will go back with my familly. Also the parkig is very comfortable!

Met up with some friends for lunch today. I really enjoyed Ichiban that was here since my high school days. Haruka is just as good and their menu is more expansive. Ordered a little bit of everything and was not disappointed at all. They will definitely have me has a repeat customer.Located on a strip mall, lots of parking available. Good for groups and family or work get togethers.

Haruka Sake & Sushi is truly a great Japanese restaurant. The food is amazing, excellent service, with a relaxing atmosphere. The Lobster roll was amazing, and the ikura salmon roe was fresh and tasty. The 210 roll was very good, and the salmon skin salad was very good.Great hospitality and service by the owner, Sean. Most definitely we will be back at Haruka sushi in LA Canada.

Great food. Friendly service.I tried out this place so I can compare with YES sushi of Pasadena. The same owner owns these 2 places but each had different menu.Seems price is more expensive here given the rent in La Canada is more expensive than Pasadena.We ordered Shishito pepper $9.50, stuffed jalapeno peppers $10.50, sashimi salad $18.50, spicy tuna on crispy rice $8.00, salmon roll $8.50 and salmon skin roll $8.50. They are all delicious and fish are very fresh.Better try this place now while price is still okay. With our economy right now with gas at $7/gallon, I wont be surprised if the price goes up.

Delicious food and quick service. Decently packed during the lunch hour. The lotus roll and Mexican roll were perfect. My colleague got the cucumber roll (no rice) and found it to be good.

While the interior was large and mostly empty (late lunch hour), the experience was a bit underwhelming. The sashimi salad featured small cuts of fish that looked like the unused pieces from a roll. The prices were quite high for the amount of fish and the quality was average. It was decent sushi that was overpriced compared to similar restaurants (see my other reviews). Still spent nearly $50 per person for lunch without ordering any alcohol. I kept a four-star rating since anything lower is ruinous but I would say skip this one.
