Harumama Noodles Buns - Carlsbad in Carlsbad

I dont love it but I dont hate it. Its just okay. Personally its like a rollercoaster ride experience here at Harumama for me. Check it out.. When it comes to Ramen, I say that Gonzo still holds the best Ramen in North County SD. Harumama Ramen is good but theres so many things going on with the flavour. The thing that makes this place unique are the buns. They are good but they lack authenticity. Presentation of food, I will give this place 10/10, they are very cute. The thing that I despise the most is that they charge $1 for ketchup. Yes! For a condiment they will charge you. Service is good, everyone is friendly and professional. The food is not customizable, so thats pretty much a turn off for most of the customers. Last but not least the ambiance on this place is quite cool and modern. Did you guys see the ups and downs of my experience here? Hence why I mentioned its a rollercoaster ride for me. Overall its not bad but just dont expect too much

Delicious vegan options. Garden party ramen has an amazing creamy mushroom broth, good assortment of vegetables and spinach noodles. Vegan bao buns with eggplant katsu were yummy as well. Stir fry was good, portion size seemed small but it was filling.Minus 1 star for service, the host or some other waiter was very rude, although our waitress was kind and attentive. Reservations are not accepted so expect a wait if you go on a weekend.

This is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is so AMAZING! One of my foodie friends introduced us to their La Jolla location. The steamed buns are so dang cute it’s almost difficult to eat them. It seems so mean! And the ramen is fantastic. The last time we were in Carlsbad for the Thanksgiving holiday I think we went there 3 times! This restaurant is fabulous!

This is my new favorite place! Service was great, and my Teriyaki Chicken is hands down my favorite new food. It comes in a skillet, with the chicken on a bed of cabbage, zucchini, squash, onions, and some other goodies, all topped with this divine sweet sauce. The character buns are so cute, and we got them all to try. Kids, no doubt, would love them, too. They are so many new things to try here! Enjoy!

Let me start by saying, I hate writing this review. I have been coming to this restaurant since we moved here and it is my kids favorite spot. We have been here at least once a month for a little over 2 years now. Today, I had a conversation with a staff member that reflected very poorly on the owner and how he/she is taking advantage of customers. Again, the staff was pleasant, the owner was present and refusing to handle the issue or offer any insight into the decision. Charging customers additional for making a change on a plate makes complete sense when it is costing the restaurant more! Yes, charge more when it costs more! However, charging an additional $3 for a swap when both items are listed for the exact same price on the menu is 100% taking advantage of your loyal customers for profit.

Theres a parking lot reserved for Harumama next to the restaurant. No reservations available so I recommend that you get here by 5pm during the weekend. We had a party of 9 and was told wed need to wait for 45min for a table inside so we decided to sit outside with the heater. There were about at least 15 families that lined up after us. Food came out kinda quick and service was good. All the ramen bowls we ordered were delicious (Fat duck, Flying pig, Crispy chickie, Haru non-spicy for kids). For buns, we liked the Bunny Buns(Nutella) and Pig buns but didnt like the Chicken buns much. We also liked the Duck Bao Bao bun. Dont get the Kurobuta Bao Bao since it tastes like a mini hot dog, nothing special. Definitely will be back when were in the Carlsbad area. They also auto-charge 20% gratuity on top of the bill (maybe not for smaller party?).

Went here for dinner and it was packed. We waited for a good 20 minutes but its located in DT Carlsbad so we walked around exploring the other shops.This is such a cute little space. I love the edgy minimalist vibe of the restaurant. Their character buns were a hit! The kids from the other tables loved it and we adults, were all taking photos of it. They taste good too, I personally liked the pork buns. My friend and I shared the spicy ramen. It was good and had a real kick to it but it was a little bit too salty for us (or I think most ramen are really on the salty side).They have other stuff in the menu taht we would love to try next time.

This place was so neat. The food was great, especially the ramen. Really good flavors and the noodles were perfect. The bao tacos were delicious and the animal bao are both cute and tasty. Definitely recommend

Wanted to try harumama for a couple month now and can say i was not disappointed. The hot buns in shape of animal were not only super cute but packed with flavor. I had my toddler with me who absolutely loved the puppy churro flavor one. The seaweed salad was very delicious and the haru ramen had a nice well balance broth. The tofu had time to soak up the broth and it was great. The waiter was very friendly as well as patient with my child

Amazing and tasty food. Its our second time visiting this restaurant. Since this week is our last one in California, we stopped by for our last meal.I had the Holy Cow Ramen vegetable broth + savory veal reduction sauce + topped with pulled beef, carrots, cabbage, broccoli, bok choy. Very delicious and flavored everything is well done.My husband had the Crispy Chicken Katsu panko breaded chicken cutlet + rice + roasted veggies + topped with furikake + side katsu sauce.He really enjoyed the Ramen the bowls size are very generous full of flavor warm and health.The restaurant is small and tables are close together. Its better to go and eat during the day. Dinner time is very busy and loud.The service is great very attentive and theres a busboy making sure the tables and customers need anything.Overall its worth it to stop by and try the various Ramen options.
