Each Takoyaki ball has one tiny piece of octopus. Ramen tastes like instant noodle which was soaked in “broth” for a whole day. Shoyu in ramen was way overcooked.

I came tonight at 8 pm (Friday, December 8, 2023). It was good that they had WiFi. The food was also good. Unfortunately, I do have to mention that I did see a cockroach on the wall. Unfortunately, I also have to mention that the Korean waitresses made me feel rushed toward the end even though it was not 9 pm yet. At 8:53, the waitress asked me to sign the bill faster. She saw my tip before I left, which made me feel even more awkward. The bottom line is that my meal did feel rushed and therefore I didnt really get to enjoy the end of my meal properly. Even though that cockroach was high up on the wall and soon crawled out of sight, it did make me question the cleanliness of the restaurant and whether it is short staffed.

Ordered 18 pcs sashimi. The sashimi seems to be fresh, but all 6 pcs tuna has something in it that is hard to chew. If I go there again, I would ask before placing an order.

Food had the wholesome quality. Great place of people who want to try japanese food but not sushi lovers. Plenty of great options. Vegetable and shrimp tempura, fried tofu, chicken karage, california roll. My kid who is a picky eater enjoyed this place quite well. Service was quick.

We came across this place randomly when we stopped by the Japanese grocery next door and it’s been one of the better (best?) sushi spots in South Bay in terms of quality and price point. Good quality seafood, generous portions, and the tempura veggies were crunchy, light, and airy. I’m glad to have found a trusty sushi spot to come to.

I was here for lunch on a Friday and the service was not that great as expected. We self-served with the menu and then they came asking about drinks and that was served and we had to literally call them to take our order. I ordered a crazy spicy roll and my friend ordered a bento box. The sushi roll seemed like it was made by unprofessional and someone new to cooking as one roll was the size of a cookie and you have to break it to eat. I was so looking forward to a great sushi experience but it was just okay. Im not sure if I will go back here.

Not the greatest sashimi or beef teriyaki but good variety of sushi and rolls. The sashimi wasnt as tender as Id like and the beef teriyaki was okay but was a different type of beef Im used to. Though it was tender enough, it just had less of the grilled flavor steak Ive had from restaurants in Mountain View. The vegetable and shrimp tempura were excellent and the rolls were unique. My wife says this is one of the best seafood salads. We came about 20 minutes earlier than the opening time of 1130 but got somewhat irritated looks because we honestly didnt know. So we came back. The first server wasnt as friendly at first and forgot my water. All in all the prices werent too bad considering the area. We spent about $64 for a family of three (no beverages just water and tea). The server who came later was more attentive and refilled our drinks and gave my water. Parking was okay and can be difficult on Saturdays.

Ultimate Spider tasted fishy because of the eel but it had to be a way to deal with it right? The whole presentation was unappealing and the taste was stale with unfresh elements such as rice. Its worse than Sushi from Safeway.Other dishes tasted OK but not great. Been to many Japanese restaurants, Harumi would be probably at the bottom of my list cause the food was not really that good.The waitress was unprofessional and impolite. She whispered us in ordering; didnt check with us about the food; didnt pay attention to take-out box requirement and appeared to be inattentive and clueless.The ambience is very disorganized and messy with out-dated, unrelated and aging interior design. Everything seems to fall apart. Yet the price they charge for this level of mediocrity and subpar service was brazen. Definitely not coming back.

I ordered 2 Bento one is teriyaki salmon and one is teriyaki beef, added $2mix for sashimi for each Bento, each order is $20.99 used to be $13.99 plus add sushi a for $1.5 and the food was much better . Inside the Bento box every item is much smaller than before, no sushi roll at all, the salted ginger on side smells like antiseptic can not eat, wasabi just given little, salads dressing is almost non have to add whatever I have from home. Tempura are very soggy and old oil smell. No soup No Edamame!The restaurant inside looks older and dark. Staff at not wearing mask and tables are not sanitized on this covid and flu season, I was afraid to dine in.On one staff to service TO GO, taking odder, packing food, collecting money, pretty easy to pass virus and germs ..$20.99 for this Bento is getting crazy compare with others and precious . Food and customer service wise I would come back

Sushi here is alright, but theyre all basically just variations of a California roll. The kings roll is a bit different with soft shell crab (and huge), but ultimately the taste is all pretty similar. Chicken karaage is okay, nothing crazy. Sashimi is also just alright, not bad but not amazing.

“Day old Safeway Sushi”We ordered togo from Harumi Sushi and we’re shocked and devastated at what we received. The food overall was mediocre at best. Just when we thought the food couldn’t get any worse the sushi rolls we ordered were the worst we have ever had. The Avacado was brown all over, the rice was hard and fall apart. These rolls were clearly not fresh and were most likely sitting in the refrigerator prior to the order. DO NOT ORDER from here. NOT RECOMMENDED. There are so many better sushi restaurants in the city of Cupertino.A picture speaks a thousand words.

We have been getting take out from here for years, and have also eaten in the store. The sushi is fresh and the menu has a great variety. Even more importantly, I was impressed with the great customer service I recently received. I had to cancel an online order at the last minute, then had to put in a new order shortly thereafter. Through no fault of their own, there were some mixups in the charges - the owner worked with me to find the issue and straightened everything out. Was impressed with how responsive he was. As I entered the restaurant, I saw all 2 chefs were non-Asian behind the sushi bar, which is usually not a good sign. Ordered a bento combo box lunch, couple sushi and a combo udon. The uni and sweet shrimps sushi were not too bad, average. The udon broth seemed over-seasoned and included half a hard boiled eggs, (instead of a whole lightly boiled eggs), which lessened the flavors of the udon. Bento box: the fried tempura was good, but the sashimi was flavourless, and the teriyaki chicken was not tender. Also saw other customers ordered various California styled rolls. I would say this is an Americanized Japanese restaurant with average quality food and prices.

We love sushi!! We ordered 8pc salmon sashimi, lion king roll, rainbow roll & tried their incredible roll.....WOW!!! SOOO good! I highly recommend trying this roll. I dont know whats in the sauce but its BOMB AF! Staff is nice, always find a seat when we go, portions are great! Definitely coming back for a 3rd time!

I went there twice for evening dining. I ordered Udon first night and bento box the 2nd night. Both are pretty decent. I like the bento box more, good variety, sashimi is fresh (you can choose from tuna, salmon or yellowtail) and tempura is crispy and comes with a shrimp and lots of veggies! All food items are reasonablely priced.

Sushi was really good quality and a good price. We had a bad experience with the waitress though. When we got our bill, we realized that she added a service charge (which is usually reserved for parties of 6 or more). We only had 4 people in our party. I would assume it was because we were a group of 4 Hispanics. When I asked another person from the staff (I assume he was the manager or owner) he was a bit taken aback that a service charge was added. He had a few words for the waitress when she arrived from her break. Anyways, we gave her a tip on top of the service charge to break the stigma, but still not happy that she added it because she thought we wouldnt tip.

You know how bento’s are characterized by variety? Every section provides something different in flavor profile and texture. At this point, I expect one or two satisfying segments and the rest being passable. Well that wasn’t the case here.It’s clear Harumi’s kitchen has high standards. Everything in the bento was fantastic (besides maybe a slightly salty salad dressing).The tempura was light and crunchy and included my fav: broccoli. The bulgogi was sweet, savory, and nicely lean. And the sashimi was three generous slabs of fresh fish.I was very impressed with this understated restaurant and look forward to coming back.

Bought food there for the first time this week. Since the sushi boat near Prospect and Saratoga is no longer open between lunch and dinner, this is the only place left in the area where you can get dinner before 5pm - BIG plus for me!Both quality and prices are OK, and the only complaint I have is that their sushi pieces are humongous - very awkward to eat! Service was OK, although there was no one near the door when I walked in, and with their set up near the entrance I didnt know what to do: stand and wait? Walk in further? Shout? The staff behind the bar, deep inside the room also seemed not to know what to do about me, just staring...

Great selection of all kinds of sushi, as well as the usual Japanese fare. Plenty of interesting americanized rolls, of which we had two that were really tasty. The place is clean and fresh with nice wooden tables and great service. They served us the first roll almost instantly after we ordered and then the second just as we were about to finish the first (they deliberately timed it). Nothing to complain about, will definitely come back (no wait on a Friday night!)!

Place is a mess with boxes piled everywhere. Orders a beer, was given a dirty glass. We ordered two bentos, chicken was overcooked, dumplings clearly not made in-house, tasted like frozen from a store. This is easily one of my favorite spots for sushi. The chefs know what they are doing and the fish is fresh! The service is really fast, place is clean and it is not too noisy. There are 3 picnic benches for seating outside (shade). Pickup is also easy and you can order it all online!Try the spicy Juno if you like spicy salmon!

Dont order online. They ask for 35 minutes notice for orders, but we showed up 30 minutes after we placed our order, and they had no idea who we were. We showed them the email confirmation of our order, and the hostess just smiled and shrugged. There were no apologies. We started to walk out, and another lady came running from the back with a printout of our order, asking if it was ours. We said yes, and they said it would be ready in 5 minutes.15 minutes later, they charged us full price for the food they forgot to make. We took it home, and it wasnt that tasty. Your basic sushi and bento place (with complimentary green tea and miso soup). Since I had a pretty low appetite, I decided to order the Crazy Roll. It was actually nothing too crazy -- just three of my favorite fish (tuna, salmon, yellow tail) along with avocado and tobiko. I still struggled to finish it, but managed to do so. 6 pieces for $10.95, so not that cheap.Came here on a day when I was pretty out of it, but I believe the food was quite fresh...or at least from what I can recall. The bento boxes were very generous in size and the tempura was very nicely fried.Bonus: Liked that there was complimentary hot green tea with free refills! We had to prompt them to refill the tea, but at least it was free :) You take what you can get in the Bay Area these days.Not super crowded and no line on a Monday afternoon for lunch. Id probably come back again!

I took my family for lunch today. Tuna does not appear fresh today. Server helping us appeared either inexperienced or was just having a bad day. Gyoza was deep fried, not pan fried.It appeared the rolls were much better than their bentos and other prepared food. Just a small hole in the wall but sometimes the hole in the walls are the best places. Ask the waiter for a suggestion and his suggestion was exactly what I wanted.
