2023-03-22 09:55:20Absolutely astounding place to dine and enjoy top quality izakaya delights. It was my first time, and I called a few days ahead to reserve a table just in case.Called the day of the reservation and asked if I could move up the time and they accommodated without any issues.Tried almost every skewer available on the menu.Even tried the special of the day Jumbo ShrimpNo single dish was lacking in presentation or deliciousness. My highest recommendation to anyone and everyone visits this establishment.

2023-01-08 23:00:05The food quality was good. Impressed by their grilled Rice ball with chicken soup. We found some chicken feathers in one of the chicken wings and they changed it for us right away. The dining experience was very good but the food is a bit pricey.

2023-01-10 07:07:42Hasu is one of the hidden gems Japanese Izakaya places in the area. This is my new to go place for yakitori. The food there is very fresh and tasty. Yakitori is not salty, not greasy, and all taste very good on the spot. Every bite is incredibly good, and the food quality is top notch! The waitress at Hasu is super friendly and they make very good recommendations on the menu. This is a perfect Izakaya place for business meeting or any type of celebration with friends and family.Quick tips: Make sure you make reservations ahead of time. This place is not cheap, but it is totally worth it. The restaurant is located inside the corner of the plaza next to Beach Bowls Acai Café.

2023-01-31 06:41:25Wow! This place is the best Japanese izakaya place Ive ever been to in L.A. County! Ive been to a lot over the years, and this place is wayyy above the other restaurants in terms of quality, taste, service and ambience. The restaurant looks new and upscale, and the food plating was minimal yet beautiful. But most importantly, everything tasted fresh and carefully prepared. Amazing!!!

2023-04-25 19:45:50We happened to randomly stumble upon Hasu and it did not disappoint! The whole meal, my wife and I tried to decide what our favorite dish was but couldnt decide. The fried tofu was bomb.. all the skewers were so tender and perfectly grilled/seasoned. The sweet potato brulee topped it off. Aside from the delicious food, the service was top notch. Well definitely be back and cant wait! Only photo I have is the aftermath of the skewer sticks 😂

2022-02-22 02:53:45A fun authentic Japanese izakaya experience.I always appreciate a meticulously prepared food. Even the most trivial item such as a grilled sausage was done with some forethought. Everything was authentic and the robata grilling was definitely done by someone who is good at it and it showed.Try their grilled rice ball with chicken soup which I enjoyed - such a refreshing way of serving the most common items!Ambience is overall good and great seevice from all of its associates. I would highly recommend this restaurant!BTW - try the sweet potato brulee - such delicious and creative desert!!

2021-12-21 04:34:15What a nice, higher end restaurant for Izakaya! I think the skewers offered are pretty tasty as well as their non-skewered items! If youve never had Chicken Oysters, try them!

2021-12-29 17:22:27We went at 5:00 p.m. to beat any crowds. Hasu has a tent with heaters outside for those that feel a little safer eating outdoors. It was a bit too cold for that!! The grilled musubis are delicious and a must to eat with the skewers.

2023-05-27 16:40:07There are a lot of good options here. We were seated fairly quickly and the service was really nice. Inside is modern and fancy but nothing too crazy.Noise wise it’s great. Standard dinner conversation no overbearing music and low lighting this place can great for a date. You don’t have to yell over anyone and it’s not too dark you feel like you’re in a cave.If you do the food vlog thing, lighting is great.First time here and was satisfied with basically 98% of the food, won’t dock a star down because of how everything else and the food came out way above expectations.I’m just super picky with karaage in general and it still tasted good here but maybe it wasn’t as juicy as I expected? The rest of the food we ordered was perfect. Most places that serve fried calamari have way too much batter. This place used a very minimal amount so most of what you’re picking up is the squid in a thin layer of batter but it’s still crunchy.Other places could just dump it in a fryer and hand it out to you but they seem to take some care for just calamari. The portion is also just right. Not too much and not too little so you have enough room to snack on everything else they have available. Some of the dessert options seem to be limited later into the night so come a little earlier if that’s a priority for you. We didn’t come here for dessert so no points to knock off but for what they had available, it was pretty good.
