If you are a meat carnivore, and looking for a different taste out of the ordinary, you will appreciate the food here. We had the combinacion cubana for srarters for the variety it provided. Then on to the main meal. This place did not disappoint. The place is very clean. And the server was very professional and took the time to explain some of the food items knowing that it was our first time there.

Some of the best Cuban Food weve ever had! They were pretty busy, but the service was still great. The restaurant was clean and it smelled so good in there (from the food)! We shared the Combo Cubana (so yummy) and the Cubano Sandwich (OMG!) They also give you free bread with the most delicious garlic butter drizzle over it! Cant wait to go again!!!

Let me tell you… this place is the real deal. We tried 3 different dishes during our visit. All 3 were truly authentic!If you like Cuban food, you’ll love this place. If you haven’t tried Cuban food, this is a great place to start.As a bonus, the staff was amazing and the prices are on good!

This place was amazing! I was there for the Sunday brunch buffet so I could only imagine what the menu has to offer. Everything was perfectly flavorful and Im a salty kind of gal and often feel things arent seasoned well or enough. Definitely recommend and will be going back to give their regular menu a go with the rest of my family.

This is the best Cuban Restaurant in the high desert, and one of the best restaurants in the high desert over all. The owner is always kind and attentive. His servers are polite as well every time we visit. The layout of the restaurant is clean. Now the food, my goodness. This food is DELICIOUS!!!!! The ingredients always taste fresh and the chef is fast! Everything is always full of flavor and tastes authentic. I would recommend trying the Ox Tails, fried chicken, or the refreshing flan. The plantains here are cooked to perfection and his saffron rice is addicting. Kudos to the owner and staff. I hope this place sticks around the high desert and hopefully expands to other locations!💃🏾

This place stole my heart! I am from the Caribbean, so most obviously I grew up eating this type of food. But all favoritism aside, this place is doing all things right. From the service, to the food, the ambiance, and the choices on the menu. This place is on point! If you havent tried this place yet, do yourself a favor and try them out. You wont be disappointed.

My wife and I frequent this place because it’s absolutely amazing. Wonderful service wonderful food and an amazing taste in music and ambiance. They have amazing chimichurri, the pulled pork is some of the best I’ve ever had. Hands down one of the best places to eat in the high desert. Thanks for such great food guys! I’m a fan! The food is delicious, nothing more needs to be said! The service is absolutely awesome, the wait staff and owners are very courteous, polite, and attentive! The atmosphere is pleasant, the decore pays homage to their homeland Cuba! I love this restaurant and while I go from Riverside ( which is about an hours drive) It’s worth driving the distance, my favorite are the delicious oxtails!!!!

Visited for Sunday lunch buffet. Ate some fish ceviche that was very well seasoned and fresh. All the food was tasty. Highly recommend this restaurant if you’re in the mood for Caribbean Hispanic which is impossible to get in the high desert. The staff was friendly and welcoming. An overall wonderful experience.

Lightning fast service, fresh DECADENT food! Its beyond what I was expecting for the price. Its affordable enough to give it a try, and tasty enough to come back for more. If youre in the area and looking for something cultural and authentic dont hesitate to give this place a try. This place is a hidden gem. The food has great flavor its very inexpensive compared to other restaurants. I realize now, Cuban food is nothing like Mexican food. This time I got the Havana Burger which is like a double steak burger with avocado and bomb. I had a mango smoothie it was delicious my wife got the bistec a la milanesa, and for the appetizer we got Yuca Al Mojo de Ajo and it was very good. I would recommend every single one of those dishes. I put some pictures here for you to see. If youre looking to try something new this is a place I would definitely come to again. Enjoy!

The service was great and the food as well. My GF said her chicken tasted amazing. I forgot the name of the plate I ordered but it was varias meats on a skillet with some french fries underneath. It was very tasty. All the meats were flavorful. It was our first time having Cuban food so I cant compare but I was extremely satisfied. Id recommend to anyone.

It is a nice Cuban restaurant. At the same time, it is the only Cuban restaurant in High Desert! The place is quite welcoming. The working staff is friendly and helpful. At the same time, there is usually, ample of space to sit down. The meals are not on the expensive side. At the same time, they are quite delicious. The cocktails, that they make, are quite delicious. Especially, I would recommend to try out, their Cuba Libre cocktail. So, if anyone is in High Desert, I would recommend to visit this establishment. It is located on the Main Street in Hesperia, right across the street from Cardenas Market.

Gotta hand it to Google this time. This restaurant was as 87% match and finally had the opportunity to check it out today. Absolutely loved it! Service was friendly the minute we walked in and they recommended a few plates. Everything looked delicious and was amazing! Glad we left room for dessert because the flan was the best Ive had in months!! We were given a coupon to use on our next visit and we cant wait to go back! Will definitely have to try a Sunday brunch soon!!

This place has BLOWN my mind!!!! Oh my god, the food and flavors are so unlike anything Ive ever tasted before! The prices are pretty darn good for the amount of food you get! Wonderful food, but I have an issue with how some customers are shown preference.We called to make a reservation and were told they dont take reservations. We got to the restaurant and got on the list with two groups ahead of us. There were four empty 4-top tables and a large table for 8 to 12. We waited 20 minutes when a man walked in and was seated at the large table where he was soon joined by several other people. Then, another small group walked in and were seated at one of the 4-top tables. These groups were not on the list, so there were still two groups ahead of us.If a restaurant has a no-reservation, it needs to be applied to all customers.

I just spent $38 on food that was cooked in old nasty smelling oil. Come on guys, this is unacceptable and its like your stealing my money. Thats how I feel.Update:Ordered take out again and it was worse than before. The Cuban sandwich was so salty my wife and I couldn’t eat it. It must have had 5000 mG of salt in it. The roasted chicken was dry and super lame. Again the taste of old oil in the fries and yuca. A complete waste of money . I guess I’m the fool for trying it again. Minus 5 stars.

The food is good especially by high desert standards. I usually order delivery from this restaurant via doordash but today I decided I would pick up the order and I had a very bad experience regarding service. When I first arrived to pick up the order I heard the owner speaking negatively about me in Spanish. This was shocking and off-putting for me but I had already paid for my order and was going to get my food. They then tell me that the food is not there. I bring up my doordash receipt on my phone to show them I had already ordered and paid for my order. The manager then decides to scold me saying that he threw the food away. He tells me that I should call in advance if Im picking up an order. After some back and forth he gives me my order. This was just a hassle and unnecessarily negative experienceI would have been a long time customer based on the food but as for the overall way the people here conducted themselves made this my last visit.Its 2023, if you chose to speak negatively about a customer in Spanish be knowledgeable that they might understand you, even if it doesnt look like they speak/understand Spanish. Be prepared to lose their business and money as well.

Food was good but damn. I felt like I was bugging them. First time I went by myself. They were ok. The old man that walks around (assuming he was a manager or owner) was nice. Today I brought my wife and 3 children and they were so rude. Didnt offer us a kids menu or kid friendly options. I smiled at the man told him thank you multiple times. No smile back or a youre welcome. Then I made the mistake of forgetting to order the chicken nuggets. So when I went to ask the lil kid. (Busboy workers) I interrupted his Mario cart game and he told me to ask someone else. I sat down and when the lady asked if I needed something I just said no its fine sorry to bother. We ate our food and left. Its a shame cause the lunch specials were delicious. Not that delicious for some blatant disrespect. Gladly keep my money and grab some Costco hotdogs. We were excited to come here, i have told mom about it about a week ago,Walk in, From the start they have you wait to be seated, although tables are empty, waited 10 minutes, the servers are very very slow, my mom ordered the fricase, Chicken with recadito came with a tiny portion of beans and lukewarm rice she said the chicken and beans were well.. very salty didnt want to make a fuss so she just ate the rice, she took it to go, i ordered the cubano is in cuban bread, which is torta bread really, ham and a tiny bit of pulled pork, pickles and mustard which was ok at best, came with thin shoe string fries, definitely made me wish i went to chick fillet or picked up some quesobirria tacos from somewhere in the HD, ate it all dont like to waste food, sincerely i walked out hungry, maybe they had a long day or the cook was over it. Either or, if you are looking for good flavor not just salty, there are better options to dine at now days.

Huge portions of food and an amazing selection of dishes. My kiddos love getting the cubanos with banana chips and a pineapple soda. I have come in many times and still only had maybe a fraction of the menu. There are so many items to choose from. Great atmosphere for dine in and family meals.

I have tried several items from their menu over time and they all tasted great! and the quality is very consistent. I highly recommend it for any one living in the high desert or driving by, and the food is so good, its worth driving up to the high desert just to try the restaurant. I am dining there at least once a week, and I have been to several fancy cuban restaurants in LA, but this one beats them hands down in quality, variety and taste!

A genuine Cuban Food experience!! If youre looking for a high-quality Cuban Food experience this is the place to visit! We tried a bit of everything and were pleasantly surprised that a restaurant of this caliber is up here in the High Desert. A Diamond in the rough, the food we ordered from Havanazucar was on par with high end restaurants but still very reasonably priced; the combined decades of restaurant experience from Co-Owners Pedro & Fortunato was reflected in the perfectly cooked and pridefully staged/presented dishes they served us (Parrillada Havanazucar, Parrillada de Mariscos, Steak, Scallops, Mussels/Clams, Chicken, Cuban Style Rice, etc.) including their made in house Caramel Flan which was rich and flavorful with a smooth texture (really good). As if the good food wasn’t enough reason to stop by, Pedro and Fortunato have also decided kept their prices and generous portions at pre-pandemic levels even though inflation has affected virtually everything (especially meat). I know this review seems a bit over the top but I just can’t express how much I highly recommend this establishment; with the limited options out in the High Desert if you haven’t tried this restaurant, you’re missing out!

It is a nice restaurant, located on Main Street in Hesperia! I have been here once, in October of 2021. The meals, that I have ordered, were delicious. There was ample of space, to sit down, and enjoy the meals. The server who attended my table, was friendly, and helpful. At the same time, the place looked clean and neat. Without cleanliness, the prices were not on the expensive side. So, definitely, if anyone is in High Desert, I would recommend a visit to this restaurant!

Went for the first time yesterday. They let me know that they normally do a buffet every Sunday from 11 to 4, but because it was fathers day, the buffet was all day. It worked out perfectly, because it allowed us to try everything, instead of just a single dish each.Everything was absolutely delicious! I will definitely be coming back many times in the future! This place has horrible customer service! We called to place an order over the phone and the person who picked up said they are too busy so I told him not to worry I’ll come in to order instead. Once I got there it wasn’t busy at all but whatever….so we walked over to the ordering counter and this short bald man with attitude that works there said they are too busy to take to go order so take a seat and wait. I told him I can wait in the car with my kids that are napping, can I at least place an order?? …He still refused and said to sit and wait. Absolutely a diamond in the rough. In our party of four, we had the skirt steak, grilled pork chop and roasted chicken plates and they were each phenomenal. It was lunch time on my way to Vegas. No Dennys or Carls Jr. for me. So I googled where to eat in Hesperia, and this popped up. In so glad I found it!! This restaurant was a pleasant surprise. I came here for pick up as it wasnt available from doordash yet. They were very friendly. And the food was ready. Overall the dishes were quite good. There was more meat than potatoes unlike other restaurants where the opposite is true. The rice and bean I had was surprisingly good and Im not a fan of rice so that should tell you something. Today was my first visit here, and it was my best experience with customer service in all of my time in the high desert. The gentleman at the register was one of the most courteous people I have ever met, and the food they provided is on par with the best of Los Angeles. This review is long overdue. My sister got married on June 27th, 2020, and I volunteered to be in charge of providing the appetizers. I wanted to provide a unique appetizer selection and researched some catering options in the high desert. I found Havanazucar and saw they had great reviews, unfortunately, since I live about an hour away in the I.E, I could not try their food prior to the event and entered into it somewhat blindly. Thankfully, I made an excellent decision to select them for catering. I ordered ceviche, Potato Balls, and Ham and chicken croquetas. This is the third time I have eaten here. The food is incredible! If you have never had Cuban food, do not think Mexican food, rather, Cuban food is much more like the food we ate in Belize. Lots of garlic and onions and crazy good spices.My buddy grew up in Tampa, Florida and said this place reminds him of home, its that authentic. It was half a chicken smothered with a tomato citrus sauce served with plantains and a rice and pigeon pea combo that was excellent. For desert I had rice pudding, made with two milks, resulting in a rich, decadent cinnamon scented finish to a fine meal. The other four people at our table were equally pleased. One had seafood, another a beef and potato dish with gravy. We are planning on going back to try some of the other things on the menu, especially the cubano sandwich. The staff was very welcoming and the music was soothing to the ears. The black beans were on point and I especially liked the Moros with my dish. Moros are Cuban style white rice with black beans and bacon bites. Yummy!

Great food, large portions, great value for your money. Staff was very nice and responsive. Drinks are awesome too.
