I eat here ALL the time & absolutely love the sushi & people who work here. Dont see anything you like & they will make a custom roll just like you want it.
Pretty good sushi spot. I tried the bento box with steak, CA rolls and tempura. All of it was delicious. My friends ordered the rolls, which were also pretty good. One of my friends noticed most of their rolls have a fried tempura shrimp in the middle and he is allergic to shrimp so he ended up getting s chirashi bowl, which looked really fresh. I would come back again.

MAYBE IT WAS JUST AN OFF NIGHT WITH A NEW SUSHI PERSON??? I AM HAPPY TO KNOW THAT HAZUMI IS WILLING TO KEEP THEIR REGULARS. BILL HAS ALWAYS BEEN KIND AND PROFESSIONAL. WE HAVE BEEN COMING HERE FOR 6 YRS NOW. THANKS BILL :)This used to be our go-to place for years, the quality of food became poor in our opinion. Still continued every so often to give it a chance. The last three times we have been there over the course of eight months it has been awful. I know what I order and I know what it consist of. Our order tonight has got to be the worst sushi I have ever had. Tried to call the restaurant as they closed 15 minutes prior to my call and nobody answered. I took some pictures and well be asking for compensation tomorrow. Unfortunately we will not be returning for dinner ever again as this has been too many times that our food has been far below restaurant quality. We will stick to Shangri-La downtown. I really tried with this place...
We ventured in with dear friends and had the most delicious lunch...Popper, Rollie Pollie, Lion King and Folsom Lake...Will need to come back as there are 45+ more to enjoy.And my wifes bento box, also delicious!Bill was great and the atmosphere was pleasant.
Just added new dishes to the sushi menu and they are amazing. Shinobi, shinju, and the boom are all amazing. Also their trays for the food are one of a kind.
Excellent place for quick sushi. I had the sushi, my wife the bento box. Service was quick, Saki selection excellent and Sushi was fresh. 5/5 will visit again. BTW, They had a happy hour menu posted behind the bar with lots of great deals (with drink purchase)
The service was really good very friendly and attentive. The food wasn’t bad but it wasn’t good either.We tried it because this place had good reviews maybe we went in at an off time. The portions were good but the food was very one note every thing tasted the same.

This is hands down the best place in Lodi to get sushi. Every time I order any sushi roll they deliver 110% with flavor. I highly recommend this place. Me and my wife have tried other things on the menu besides sushi but I would definitely stick to the sushi It is their most delicious dish. Also they have a lot of different rolls available.

I came in with my daughter. I ordered the sashimi & nigiri plate for lunch. One of my pieces of salmon had a bone in it. My daughter loved the bento box she ordered. Otherwise ok. The table we sat at was very worn. The server was nice. She apologized for the bone and that was it. I believe they removed 5 dollars from the total of our meals. I will not be back.
First time customer, came with a family of 4 and was given Attentive/Good customer service. Sushi/ Sizzling tofu was delicious! 10/10 would come again next time

The sashimi boat and choji roll were SO delicious and super high quality, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the service was very friendly. This place is well worth the drive across town.
Our Wednesday dinner group ate here recently and it was another fantastic evening. So many tasty choices on the menu, and our waitress was great. Which always adds to a fun night out.

I had three different types of sushi and they were all excellent. The combo tempura was okay. It seemed to have an after taste. The customer service was excellent. The place was very clean. I am going to be coming back to try other items on the menu. I would give it a four and half stars.

My new favorite sushi!!! The shinobi roll and boom roll were so amazing that we asked the chef to just make us something else good and he pulled out the most amazing roll filled with all the good things. We will most definitely be back. The bento box was the best tempera I’ve ever tasted. We bought it for our daughters and they split it with food to spare. Our children are not easily pleased but their eyes were lit up the whole time they ate. You could tell it was made with fresh everything. The waiter was SO kind and gentle and on top of everything. We also had fresh wasabi with the meal. I’m so impressed. I inhaled everything too fast to take pictures. Thank you for an amazing meal!!
The Love Roll was AWESOME and our waiter was even better.We went to this place because my daughter wanted sushi for her birthday after doing indoor skydiving up the road. Our waiter put the cake in the fridge and even brought out their plates, forks and spatula.The sushi is fresh.We will definitely go back when we are in town. Can’t beat their prices, either.
Phenomenal!Customer service is excellent, very inviting atmosphere and some of the best sushi Ive ever had. Lunch deal; bento box is awesome.. Enough food for you to eat twice. They also have excellent non sushi options so that the entire family will find something they love.
Take the review for whatever you want my Family went to this restaurant looking to explore new sushi options in the area. We order some very creative and interesting rolls. Unfortunately we were met with obvious low quality fish and oysters that were not only not fresh but boarding on bad. It looks like this restaurant was founded on a passion to bring sushi and asain cuisine to the central valley but it looks like that passion has since waned. The staff was pleasant enough just wish that the quality of ingredients was attended to as much as the smiles and greeting from there staff. Hope for the best.
Great food, prices and atmosphere. They have a wide variety of options on their menu with something for everyone.I see the owner and his son occasionally working here, waiting tables, ext. Definitely a local family business that is worth your dollar and appetite. Keep up the incredible work.
Me and my son went there twice. Even though I wasn’t happy first time but I wanted to give another try since our favorite Japanese restaurant is closed on Sundays☹️. We were not happy with their food and service. The Waitress never smiled. Fish weren’t fresh, chicken teriyaki wasn’t good. I can make it better. Salad was a joke. But the price of food was expensive. Now I know why there weren’t many customers on both visits. We will never go back.
First time going to this amazingly great restaurant. The waiter was very attentive, loved the atmosphere very quiet, we went on Friday around 230 it was lunch hour, they had specials when you order a drink sushi appetizer for $5.50 I loved the soup the food was amazing!! So glad we gave this place a try, we will be back possible once or twice a week.

This place has a nice friendly atmosphere and great sesame chicken and tempura. I dont eat sushi, but my husband does, and he loves their sushi. My daughter loves this place. Its our favorite local Japanese restaurant!

Previously knows as Haru sushi 🍣 this place is the best 💯 % all the time. My usual order is the sizzling rice soup along with the special dragon 🐉 roll and the dynamite roll. The staff/owners are great welcoming people and the restaurant look is nicer that some in Lodi and accommodates a large family. As far as price sushi has delicate ingredients so they must be fresh and it shows here. I spend around $30-40 on my self and around $250. With my family of 4adults and two kids.

This restaurant is my preferable site. Of all restaurants I know I like it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to visit this place. everytime I I need a proper lunchon, this place comes straightaway to my mind. fresh and varied food and a rich menu.courteous crew, and good mood. In addition to that, the charge is reasonable. I recommend this spot with no doubt.
This spot was thoroughly impressive. Both me and the buddy were blown away by the taste and presentation. The chef was a kind older man, and the front of house/waitress was extremely kind. This place is the truth. Well done Lodi, well done.
Ordered 4 rolls, a dragon roll, 2 dynamite rolls, and a rolly polly roll and my order was partially wrong and partially missing even after waiting almost a whole hour. I was missing one of the dynamite rolls and they gave me a second dragon roll instead of the rolly Polly. This literally was the worst service especially after paying so much money for everything and having a such a long wait without getting checked on.
The lemon tem roll is to die. All curry here is delicious. Great food and staff. Happy hour is amazing. M-F 230-530 5.50 apps 5.50 rolls with purchase of an alcoholic beverage.

Had the Mango Tam. Not a lot of flavor going on, but it did at least taste fresh. Seems like a nice place to enjoy a meal. Nice atmosphere and friendly waitresses.

$18 for a handful of very small nigiri sushi is ridiculous. The large wooden platter used to disguise the small portion came with the smallest nigiri sushi I had ever seen. The sushi chef didnt place any wasabi under any of the sushi. Honestly, got to Safeway and pay $20 for 12 pieces of big portioned sushi. The fish is exactly the same. Frozen then thawed (which is very common in upscale sushi bars) but the difference is that Safeway gives you the EXACT sushi except the size is equivalent to a damn snickers bar. An exaggeration perhaps, but the portions at Safeway are much larger, and much better. Ill leave it up to you.

Sushi had way too much sauce on it and way too expensive for what you got. Would not recommend this and we wont be coming back. The nigiri was good however. We couldnt even eat the sushi.
The food here is amazing I like the snap pees you get as appetizers and I like the cozy feel . I like how you get to see the sushi being made as you watch the service is nice and it is cheap with a large variety of meals .
The Godzilla roll is the way to go, had a great meal, really glad to have come here. Plan on coming here again next time I visit Lodi.

I never liked sea food, especially sushi until I ate here this place is pretty fire, the waiters are awesome as well. They also offer vegetarian sushi options as well.

2023-08-11 22:50:40Been here 3 times in a one week. I don’t live in the area I’m here for work. Been here 3 times. Each time has been great. Food is good. The 2 servers I’ve had have been nice and quick. I’ve ordered some rolls and edamame some sashimi. Everything has been excellent not sure how long more I’ll be here but if I’m ever in the area I’ll be sure to come here.

I ordered a Bento Box of Salmon Shioyaki & Tempura with Rice. Very tasty grilled Salmon & satisfying, good pricing. We also ordered Calamari which was ok, with an order of Edamame for Appetizer. I dont like batter coming apart off of the Calamari, which also didnt have a good texture. My husband ordered the Godzilla Roll & enjoyed it. Our server was very friendly & attentive. They werent too busy during the time we arrived. I will give 5 🌟 if consistently good food, & after our next visit.

The staff is always very nice and friendly. The quality and taste of the sushi has been very consistent over the years.

2018-11-28 04:37:15Nothing really wrong with it. Just an average little strip mall sushi place. Service was actually pretty friendly. Sushi was middling. Prices were fair. Place is kind of run down. The sushi bar itself is way too high, like over nipple-high on a 5’10” guy. No other complaints.

2018-04-09 00:23:58Sushi is good, even great when factored against the price. The wife loves the mushroom bomb and the Godzilla roll is big enough to share and satisfy a good apetite. They have some really good happy hour specials. What keeps them from a 5 star rating? BBQ Albacore below standards compared to other spots and there is usually only one hostess/server working.
