2023-10-20 03:00:04Honestly, you cant beat the portion, quality, and price at this place. We came in on a Saturday night and there was no wait. As soon as we got seated, they gave us a small bowl of peppery chicken soup. We all got the Half and Half over Rice. I got the Dark Meat + Fried Chicken and my friend got the Dark Meat + Fried Pork and we tried each others food. It was all delicious, perfectly cooked (still juicy), and the fried foods were not greasy at all. They also had three different sauces to accompany the meats, and they were all good. You cant beat this place for $15.50 a plate! None of us could finish our plates.

2023-08-06 16:43:16The crispy pork and chicken are some of the most tasty things ever with their sauces. Not overly crunchy and super tender meat. The rice was fabulous on one dish, the other is was alright.I give it 5 stars for the great service, fun atmosphere and the food hit the spot. We order 3 dishes for 4 people. Totally enough.Out of the 3 dishes and sides, this place is awesome. Price? Well not too bad for the area and what it is. So yeah, this place is high fives all around.

2023-08-30 00:54:34This place is a hidden gem. We saw it on Tiktok and decided to go last minute while we were in the area and were so happy to have stumbled upon it. The prices are very reasonable and they do not skimp on the portions and the flavor. Everything was so delicious and tasted fresh. We are usually slow eaters but we finished everything in 20 minutes. I hope this place gets more love, you dont often see good hainan chicken places in the US unless you make it homemade. We hope to come back if we are ever in LA again 😊

2023-09-22 06:52:45As the LA Times review puts it, “one of the best hainan chicken in town.” It shares the parking lot of the hotel next door so parking is not a problem unlike so many of the other Thai Town area restaurants. The hainan chicken is indeed the star of the show but the other meats are also pretty decent. Still, on my next visit I will probably just stick to the hainan chicken and the super good sauce.

2023-05-25 04:18:45First time at this restaurant, I orders the fried and steamed chicken half half. The fried chicken is a little bit on the dryer side but crispy and tastes great! It also comes with the soup which was delicious! Very reasonable price for the amount of food I got. Definitely worth it!

2023-07-03 00:40:32I have been looking for a restaurant that serves Khao Mun Gai because it’s my favorite comfort Thai dish whenever we go back to Thailand. Most places that do offer this dish only have it as white meat and I prefer dark meat so it’s always disappointing. However, this place is 100% worth it. I am so so happy I stumbled upon this place because it really hit the spot and was exactly what I was looking for. We ordered the a la cart dark meat chicken and extra rice & this was perfect for 2 people — if you know what you want/like, the larger a la cart portion is perfect. The restaurant was small so if you get there when there’s a rush you’ll have to wait but the wait is worth it. Definitely come give them a try! I cannot wait for the chance to come back here when I’m out in LA again. Cannot recommend this place enough!

2023-11-07 19:10:08The Instagram influencers werent wrong about this place. It really is legit. If you cant decide between the fried chicken or the hanan chicken, you can get a dish that has both a la cart and then a side bowl of rice. That dish is also enough for two people who dont eat much. But if you do eat a lot, then just get two full dishes of each and split it. Oh and if you are trying to get the organs and gizzards, you need to get there early when they open. Because they run out.

2023-05-30 05:57:09Service was great! Ordered the hainan chicken rice. The rice was tasty. The chicken could be more tender and juicy but the sauce was very good.I’m more picky because I’m from Malaysia. The original place of Hainan chicken rice.

2023-10-22 22:53:57This is a rendition of the beloved Chicken and Rice dish with a Thai-inspired twist of flavors. Similar to Hainan Chicken, but certainly not the same. Here this dish is paired with either regular or garlic rice topped with a poached chicken which they debone for serving. Thai sauces are available to further the experience.Their fried variety of proteins is done also equally well. The breading is crispy and the pieces are juicy. Fish, Pork, and Chicken really deliver some really good crispy examples. The garlic rice is very fragrant and inviting. Along with their sauces, everything is heavily seasoned and I found myself very thirsty after my meal. The star of the show here is the proteins, but I find the sauces distracting. Poaching of the chicken also creates a more rubbery texture and I find the clean flavors of chicken missing.Although the dishes are hearty and delicious in their own right, I dont think the cover is as good as the original unless you are looking for Thai-inspired flavoring.

2023-08-20 03:15:54Never really had authentic Thai cuisine but this was a great place to start. This place was absolutely delicious! I got the fried chicken and garlic rice. The breading on the chicken was a unique combination of crunchy and crispy. The sweet chili sauce was the cherry on top. Too bad I couldn’t try the hainan chicken since it was unavailable but can only imagine it is just as good. This place is a definite must try.
