A gem and a must visit. Sparkling fresh food, grilled and seasoned to perfection. Make sure you have the Armenian coffee too. I only wish I had found Herand sooner in my stay.

The boneless chicken plate is our go-to at Herands Kitchen! The food is always served very fresh, wonderfully seasoned, perfectly cooked, and just perfect. The chicken is juicy, and everything is charred to perfection. We not only come back for the food, but also for the owner! Hes a friendly and a hard-working man who deserves all the praise. Truly a neighborhood gem.

Best local kebabs! My coworkers and I come here at least once a week, and this my favorite place to go to lunch. The ingredients are good quality and the recipes/cooking are excellent. Kebabs are always juicy and portions are big. The owners are very kind and usually give extra food on top of what was ordered. The inside is clean, comfortable and has a European feel. You can see them prepare your meal in the open, so you know it is fresh. Thank you to my friend, Armen for bringing us. I highly recommend this family restaurant for authentic Mediterranean food!

Very glad we stopped in. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the decor was very clean and modern, and the food was carefully prepared right in front of us behind the counter. Always appreciate a place with a smaller menu with all the key items (you KNOW the food is fresh).Koobideh was prepared with a unique combination of spices, filet mignon was cooked perfectly, bean salad was delightful, beet salad 100% recommend, and if you’re a fan of fennel, the fennel yogurt is very refreshing. Very glad we have a spot like this in uptown Glendale!

The owners are friendly, the restaurant is very clean and classy. The filet mignon & chicken is fresh and very well seasoned, cooked at the perfect temperature and there was a nice juicy softness to the meat. The peppers have a variety of flavors and were grilled just right. Would I eat there again? Absolutely!

Most amazing mediterranean food I’ve ever had in LA! This is my new favorite restaurant in the area. Herand and his wife were extremely accommodating and gave the best recommendations for food to try. We got the beef koubideh and boneless chicken and both dishes were absolutely delicious, flavorful and cooked to perfection. Even the grilled vegetables were out of this world. The food is cooked FRESH from the grill and definitely with lots of love. The owners are so friendly which definitely made the dinner experience memorable. I’m so glad my aunt and I decided to try this place out for dinner. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone! :)

We went in for my dads birthday, and this place was really family friendly even my baby had a blast and felt totally comfortable. This place is super clean, brand new, and the food is seriously so delicious and fresh. I’m a vegetarian and the appetizers, salads, kookoo, and rice was more than filling and I highly recommend it. Chef and Owner Herand is the nicest guy and a great host!

My goodness. This place is awesome. I view it as Greek / Armenian fusion, and was unique and spectacular. The Beef Koobideh was so good. When eaten together with the Zereshk rice (made with Barberries), the Koobideh reminded me of a Georgian Kabob with Pomegranate. Plus, the owner is really cool... Offered to deliver my food himself, in the poring rain. This will not be the last time I visit this place. 5/5

This is Mediterranean food at its best! Their food is soooo delicious. The service is amazing and the staff is so polite and professional. The best dinner in our last 10 years, which includes dining across US, Middle aEast, Europe, China, and Mexico. Tender, delicious food prepared by the wonderful owners (couple), who obviously take great pride in their profession and in creating a wonderful experience for their guests. Amazing! The venue could be a little warmer since it does feel a bit like you’ve stepped into an industrial kitchen to eat, but the food is delicious. Definitely bring an appetite, you’ll want enough room for the huge portion sizes.

My wife saw all the 5 star reviews of this new place, so we had to check it out ourselves. We were pleasantly surprised. Weve been to other well known Persian/Middle Eastern/Mediterranean restaurants in the area, but this place is far better. As the other reviews have stated, we agree... from the kind/friendly/talented chef & owner Herand (lots of love go into his home style meals), above & beyond service (happy to please, very generous), clean & comfortable environment, delicious & fresh high-quality food (be sure to ask for the fresh sumac to add to your dishes). Thankful people like Herand and eateries like his exist. Looking forward to experiencing the rest of the menu.

At a friends recommendation, my husband and I decided to try Herands Kitchen for the first time. We couldnt have been more satisfied. Lets start with Herand, the owner and chef. As soon as you walk in the door, he makes you feel at home; he is warm and friendly, and clearly cares about his customers. The décor is lovely, and the kitchen, which is divided by a glass partition, is spotlessly clean. Now the food...everything is fresh, organic and cooked to order. We started with a very tasty hummus with flat bread, followed by the boneless chicken and filet mignon, both marinated and skewered, both tender and bursting with flavor. Wow! These were served family style along with delicious sweet roasted peppers and the most delicate rice pilaf Ive ever tasted. We ended with dark rich Armenian coffee. It was a wonderful dining experience, and we cant wait to come back!

I had a delicious lunch at Herands today. Chicken on the Bone (skewered, succulent dark meat without bones) was served on a bed of salad and roasted tomatoes. On a separate plate was the bread and a chopped vegetable salad that I substituted for rice. Im a big guy, but I couldnt eat all of the food, there was so much. The proprietor was extremely friendly. I had my first takeout dinner from Herands Kitchen last night. It was delicious! Herand grilled the Chicken on the Bone dish himself and packaged it with delicious side dishes (tomato and cucumber salad, seasoned rice, flat bread). The chicken was piping hot, juicy, tender, and perfectly flavored. Herand is remarkably friendly and very enthusiastic about the food he prepares. We live up the street and will make this a regular dinner routine!

We asked the host who was also the owner and chef (all in one) and he said that it is organic. Put some butter on it and it will change colors.
