Heritage Barbecue in San Juan Capistrano

We came about 20 minutes before it opened and their was already a line. Beautiful area. Once it opened the line went quickly. A little pricey for BBQ, but everything was amazing. We had brisket, pork ribs, hot links, Cole slaw, and spicy cucumber. Everything was amazing, highly recommend!, ps we had our dog with us, and its a dog friendly deal. Even dog water spot.

Despite a one-hour wait, the anticipation only heightened our excitement, and the feast that followed was spectacular. The pulled pork was tender and smoky, the brisket impeccably smoked, the sausage bursting with flavor, and the ribs, an absolute delight. The sides, including mac n cheese, Texas-style bread, coleslaw, and potato salad, complemented the meats perfectly. The bartenders were super friendly and helped me pick the perfect beer for my husband. Heritage BBQ is a must-visit.

We wanted to try ribs in LA and this is where our cousin took us. This was so delicious, and the variety ordered was amazing. If you are a meat lover and you are around this area, I would highly recommend this place. Pork ribs and chilli cucumber were my favourites, but kids also liked the beef brisket and mac and cheese. We finished it all with a delicious banana bread pudding for dessert. Cant recommend the food enough.

Best BBQ Ive had hands down. True Texas BBQ is what they are serving up. Brisket, pork ribs, sausage were awesome. Their sides were also awesome (Mac and cheese, potato salad) the only item we did not enjoy were the Brisket chili beans. They were lacking a depth of flavor. On the bland side.The line moved fast. You can order a beer or seltzer while you wait. Once you place your order, the food comes out very fast. Lots of seating as well. Highly recommend

We came to celebrate our friends court wedding.The place is really nice, very rustic.The barbecue was amazing, you must try every type of meat they offer. You should know that the place is also a bar. Very friendly waiters!Im giving them 1 star less because we saw a rat on a patio near our table. Maybe its acceptable in a rustic place but for us it was terrifying. Despite this, I would return to eat there.

Brisket was as good as expected. Sausage was a Korean style that was dry. I have had their frito pie on a previous visit, and it was delicious. Mac and cheese was just ok, potato salad was good to go.Overall, a solid BBQ experience

First time eating here on n July 30th 2023, The wait was 1hr & 30mins long & I stood in line before they opened Sunday morning. Good thing is that they have a brewery so I purchased a hazy while waiting. And Yes I can sat it was WORTH THE WAIT! The meat that myself and 2 friends order to share was the Tri Tip, Brisket, beef ribs, chicken, sausage, pork belly and for sides corn bread & Mac n cheese.Out of all that I definitely recommend the Beef rib( That rib surprised us All SO GOOD!) Tri tip, pork belly! And both sides were great!

First time ordering. We shared Brisket and Pulled Pork sandwich and brussel sprouts side order. Everything was great and the brisket was especially delicious.

Excellent brisket, char siu pork belly, sausage, jalapeno cornbread, and mac n cheese! No matter how long the line looks, its worth the wait. The slaw was pretty good, too.We ordered half a pound of three meats, plus two sides and a piece of cornbread for two of us for lunch, and we ended up with enough leftovers for a pretty big dinner for one the next day.Remember to order drinks at the bar a few feet away after ordering your food - I highly recommend the lemonade seltzer on a hot day, as it was super refreshing!

Great bbq. Amazing sausages, the tri tip was great and pulled pork best in OC. Placed to go order online and still had to Que up for service so that was disappointing. Price point is steep but it’s bbq and a time consuming craft, so it’s a treat to get it.
