We didnt take a guided tour, just picked up a bus and get there. Its great to find such a small, climatic place in the middle of the town, where you can sit down next to the fountain and take nice pictures.

Love this place guys specially in the summer, with all the free concerts they put on its wonderful and very enjoyable. Get so see old folks, family, friends, and enjoy the fantastic music and dancing of course most importantly the dancing. And there is more, big bonus you can bring your own food and choice of drinks . So my people enjoy and God bless you all.

Informative and fascinating hour tour of this pulling together of historic homes from Oxnards past into one area. Not previously aware of the towns multicultural and international history. Guide had lots of details delivered in a most enjoyable manner and eager to answer questions. Highly recommend.

It was a big holiday weekend, Labor Day, and a lot of things were still closed as per Governor Newsoms orders. Despite that we ventured out of our hotel to check out this place. My kids and I loved the architecture. We even found one building open for business. It was a coffee shop that had a gift shop inside. The coffee shop has been in business in almost two years. It felt good to support the local business owners.

My friend had her quince here. Beautiful location with an open courtyard. Theres enough space to comfortably host at least 150 people here. Would definitely recommend if you want to host parties or events.

We had a group of 17 from The Stagecoach Museum visit and Gary, the docent coordinator, was amazing! The costumed docent looked like she had just stepped out from Victorian era Oxnard. Heritage Square is a very special square of reclaimed historic buildings. If you love history and architecture, this is the place to go. Thanks Gary for a great day!

If you like architecture, youll enjoy seeing the buildings at Heritage Square. Heritage Square contains (maybe a dozen?) beautifully restored old/historic houses with landscaping and walking paths around them and placards in front of each building explaining their histories. They are occupied by businesses so excepting the ones with restaurants it doesnt appear that you can look inside. Still, it was enjoyable for a walk and break from the car. There is also a small gift shop in the square with a very friendly attendant.

Had the co picnic there. Bad timing, they were putting new asphault down around that whole block. Food tasted like tar. Wish the place tried to schedule it accordingly. As for the whole Heritage Square, its almost a nice little gem. They can do so much more with the place to make it a happening place

This place is beautiful and such a breath of fresh air in comparison to the surrounding downtown Oxnard areas. There are old historic homes located on the square. There are plaques that can be read to learn more about the local history. Great place to take photos or even visit at night. Great place to visit and walk through.

I remember when the City of Oxnard were transporting these Victorian Homes to this location. I now get to visit the inside due to my granddaughter running her business out of one. The picture I posted is looking out of her window to the courtyard. Absolutely adore the homes and the landscaping. ❣

I love the period architecture! Its a nice quiet place to walk around. My wife and I just got home from having coffee and wine at two of the new shops there!: Heritage Coffee and Rancho Ventavo Cellars. Both places are small and intimate. We chatted with the owners of both places and they were wonderful, welcoming people. Go there as soon as you finish reading this.

We used the upstairs and it was decorated beautifully! Michelle was so amazing, making sure we had everything we needed. You will not be disappointed!

This place shows up on every tourist map of Oxnard. So, we decided give it a go. Nothing was open in the morning, and many of the stores were offices. Maybe I misunderstood what this place was, but I thought it would be a fun attraction for the family. We spent all of 5 minutes walking around reading the signs before I decided to take my bored family into the cute coffee shop for hot chocolates. That was a nice treat. Maybe this is a great place during special events... but not as a passerby activity.

Beautiful peaceful n quiet which is much needed in the middle of the chaos and ugliness of downtown Oxnard. Heritage Square Phoenix is one of those unique city areas that keeps its history alive.It is amazing how much is being done by the Heritage Square Foundation to preserve the historic buildings and get the tourists and general public acquainted with the history of Phoenix.Upon entrance, I found the Heritage Square Visitor Center (a former Carriage House) to be of great help to visitors - besides educated and friendly working staff who welcome you in, they offer an excellent info display, free handouts, visitors guides and maps of Heritage Square Phoenix, - all this is so informative and helpful when you walk around the area.Of course, on the premises of Heritage Square theres a very famous, historic Rosson House Museum that offers tours, the Teeter Carriage House (now it is one of the popular Royal Coffee Bars in the area), another old, but modernised structure is Baird Machine Shop (today it is a Pizzeria Bianco), and a gorgeous, open-air Lath House Pavilion that was completed in 1980. Nearby, theres a prominent Arizona Science Center that runs many programs in educating children.
