Finally we have found the perfect spot in the neighborhood that meets all our requirements. Perfect for a sun -soaked beer session under the sun on the their terrace. The food is really good, they have a fixed menu and daily specials, we opted for the specials and we weren’t disappointed. The service is excellent as well :)Definitely It has become one of our favorites places in the area!

Wow. This place definitely deserves the ratings it is getting. Was not disappointed in one thing. The ambiance is great. Just a block of beach in a really cool area. The food was excellent. Definitely not bar food. They have a very talented chef. Had the Brussels sprouts and they were awesome. All the food we had was a hit. Now on to the beer. It was top notch. I had a sample of all the hazys and they were very good. I even tried the Ollie which is a kolsch (I never like Kolsches) but this was fantastic. I had just visited the legendary Russian River brewery and the beers here were better as a whole. Well done. Keep up the good work.

Trivia is available on Wednesdays at 7pm. There’s 7 rounds and it’s a fun group activity. The reservation can be made online but note that the group size is limited to 6. We had a group of 8 so we were split into 2 groups of 4. Indoor seating is only for trivia but they have outdoor seating as well for regular patrons. Two item minimum is required for trivia in order to offset their costs. You order at the bar and they bring your food to your table.I got the fried chicken sandwich, which was huge and tasty. I added fries for an additional $3. I also got a chocolate cake (which came with housemade whipped cream) and had a raspberry filling. They have shareable including loaded tots and sweet potato fries that may be good for the table.

Ive been down to HBC a few times and it never seems to disappoint. The service team works flawlessly whether youre getting Steven, Nika, Jeff, or Veronica its never a long wait. The beer is fresh and the location is great. Chef Aarons take on food gives a unique twist. Whether youre having New American, Asian Fusion, or CalMex, you leave this place with your palate melting and an insatiable thirst. I could easily see HBC becoming my local joint. Thank you for the experience

Amazing place excellent food ambiance and location. But the one the that sets it apart is the GM Jeff S he is a consummate professional always looking out for the needs of the customer and the employees. Ive followed Jeff around to different businesses in Hermosa and his professionalism and attention to detail follows him everywhere he goes what an amazing guy. Happy Birthday Jeff

I love HBC! They host a Geeks Who Drink Trivia every Wednesday and I’ve been going for several years. The employees are amazing, Veronica and Jess are so sweet and accommodating. The beer is so tasty, I love their IPA variety. The food is amazing and they have weekly specials in addition to their regular menu. 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Wow, what a delightful experience. I would have never thought Id experience such amazing dishes from a brewery.Chef Aaron has really elevated the menu. I would steer clear of the traditional menu and focus mostly on the creatively designed and expertly executed feature items on the chalkboard. - the ingredients, execution and visually appealing presentation take the dining experience to the next level.While I understand that this is a beach town and things are really casual, I would say that with a chef of this caliber, it would likely benefit from elevating its service. They were pleasant, prompt, professional and properly groomed, which is a great standard. However, the special menu needs to be highlighted and accentuated because those are the best items on the menu.Additionally, there didnt seem to be any leadership in the FOH, which is where things fall in through the cracks. Double and triple seating, refills, properly greeting new guests are all area that a FOH mgr could assist with in peak times. While this seems to be a Hermosa Beach favorite, I hope they solidify the FOH leadership and grow to appreciate who they have in Chef Aaron because he can easily be in a Michelin star setting.Im so glad I didnt see chicken fingers and typical bar food on the menu! Im looking forward to the seafood pozole!

I’ve been to Hermosa Brew Co a lot. The food is excellent and the beer is tasty! My favorite beer is, Notorious. I try to eat something new each time because everything it’s cooked to perfection. I honestly have never been disappointed. I suggest trying to get out of your comfort zone and try some of the specials! There always mind blowing. But don’t get me wrong, the burgers, pulled pork or fried chicken sandwiches are bomb as well. The pretzel and tacos are great too! The list can go on…. If your luck you’ll get Veronica as your server. She is amazing but the entire staff is as well. ;)

12/10 recommend. There service was phenomenal. Dave & Tyber were running the show with a high influx of customers at once. They were never unpleasant (QUITE the opposite) or showed anything other than their desire for everyone to be catered to, sat in a timely manner, & served with excellence. It truly blew me away. Being a party of 1 as I rolled up on my bike, they prioritized me just like anyone else. The brews themselves would convince me to come back! SUCH STELLAR hospitality & quality beer. The beers are great, the food is good, but trivia Wednesdays is a mess. Weve gone twice about two months apart, and each time has been an evening of nonstop confrontation from a specific member of the staff (possibly the manager?). I always feel unwelcome when I come to this place (at least for trivia), and we will not be returning again. Its too stressful of an experience.They have a strict capacity requirement due to a local ordinance so theyll get fined something like ~$1,000 per person for going over capacity. I understand compliance requirements & codes, but I would also expect a business to prepare appropriately & be solution-oriented for their customers when hosting an event. If trivia is too popular, hire a bouncer for the door to control numbers. Let people play from the outside patio if indoors is too tight. Post your rules somewhere public so people know what conduct you need & expect. If you cant handle the volume of public walk-ins, make it a private event with tickets. Theres so much they could do to prepare & improve the experience, but they dont.Instead, youre greeted with rudeness & exasperation for not intuitively knowing & abiding rules that arent posted anywhere. If you want to play trivia, you need an indoor reservation for a table. But not a regular reservation, a special one. If theres no room inside, theyll seat you outdoors where you can still try to play trivia, but youre not allowed to win anything. If youre seated outside and a table opens up indoors midway through the event, you need approval from staff to switch inside. If your party is split between tables, youre not allowed to walk over & chat with your friends in the 2-3 minute breaks between rounds. Under no circumstances can an additional person show up & stand near your table indoors, even if theyre staying out of the way--they will be asked to leave. Not reseated elsewhere: just leave. Our designated driver showed up after work for the last 3 rounds or so, but the establishment refused service (food or drink) to her, and even stopped serving the rest of us in case we might give her something. Both times Ive been here for trivia, the evening turned into such a laughably ridiculous power trip, we couldnt believe we were paying money to have such a negative experience.Generally speaking, brewery trivia events are pretty chill. You can just show up & hang out in peace---not so with this one. Which is a shame because they do have great beers. Hopefully theyll take some learnings from these weekly events to improve the trivia experience & make it less stressful for customers & staff alike.

Simply named items, like this Tuna Tostada, would call for a much more exalted title in a formal restaurant, but he has chosen to let the food speak for itself. Only had the beer here so cant comment on the food but have really enjoyed our times at the Hermosa Brewing Company. Great IPA options with my particular favorite being the Hazy A.F. So if youre looking for a place that you can sit down, have some good beer, and talk while playing games like Uno, Connect 4, Exploding Kittens, cards, etc. then this is a good place to do that!

Opening night is Jan 31st, but tonight (the 17th) they started pouring beer and serving food. I had an amazing sample of IPAs and an equally amazing dark Smokey lager. All the beers we tried for extremely tasty and the service was amazing. I spoke to what I believe are three partners: Amy, Jorge, and Dave. All very friendly and I look forward to coming here often and sampling the food as well.

Exceptional food, far better than one expects at a brewery. The menu reads like mild variations on standard pub fare, but the execution -- quality ingredients and imaginative combinations -- take things to the next level. Beer was great, too. I had the Czech pilsner and my friend had the tangerine wheat. The former was excellent, the latter a beautiful balance between fruit and beer.

I came here today as a random stop on a 4 day road trip. This place had amazing beer and amazing staff. Erica was amazing. We didnt get food but stayed drinking for a few hours. Let me start off by saying I have a very high spice tolerance so please be aware with reading my review.When it comes to wings and places claiming to have ghost pepper flavor many places fall short on spice. This may be the first place to fill my taste buds with joy . The twice fried wings had a nice feathery skin and was decently coated with the most delicious, flavorful ghost pepper bbq sauce I have ever tasted. I am no stranger to spice since I love Carolina reapers and scorpion peppers so I set the bar high when it comes to my spice tolerance. The chef here did not disappoint 👏 . I am at a loss for words when it comes to truly describing how delicious my wings were. I actually had to ask for an extra side of sauce because I just couldnt get enough of it. I was truly un prepared when we randomly walked in and failed to shoot content for my blog haha. I will definitely return to get Instagram worthy photos and update my review soon. For the time being I will like to add the giant pretzel was delicious as well as their tacos. Although for my personal taste in drinks I didnt have much options since at that time a drink I wanted was not in stock I did sample the frosè which was also delicious. I definitely cant wait to return 10/10 recommend this place to anyone who like myself is looking for great flavorful spicy wings.

This is the 3rd year of dining at this address in the past 5 years(closed in 2019 and covid in 2020). My GF and I had our first date at Brat & Bräu and I felt awful(recovering from a really bad headcold) but things went well so every year we try and come back and I always have some sort of an ailment which I now understand as some sort of good luck indicator.The wait staff at HBC was very nice and welcoming even though the wait was super long. Luckily we wanted to grab something and eat at the beach. I ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger and it was honestly one of the 10 best Beef burgers I have had. The paddy was thick but evenly cooked to perfection. Looking forward to coming back for this.The reason for 4/5. I did not receive my French fries which was a bummer. Also my GF ordered a special Octopus 🐙 dish that she could not finish due to how salty it was. It was bad enough that she was wondering if she could find a salt shaker lid in there.We will be coming back on 5/14/2022. VERÓNICA IS THE BEST.So I had the opportunity to try some of their delicious beers. El Jefe Manda is a really yummy wheat beer. Pier to Pier is a scrumptious Pale Ale and then who can forget the Suitcase in Berlin, which was an incredible Berliner Weisse that just rocked my world. Anyways, the brewery is pretty, its right off the beach, and I think you all would enjoy it. Ask for Veronica.Tasters are $3 and full pours are like $8-$10. They even have four packs to go!

My wife and I came here to discover the local micro brewery in the area. We absolutely loved the different styles of beers, especially the Wakey Wakey (Hint of coffee) and the Belle plage (peach). The low key and chill environment was very appealing to us for our vacation. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. We’ll definitely come back on our next trip to hermosa beach!

Ordered tacos and it took over an hour. Finished our drinks and waited and waited. Granted it was trivia night and that may have impacted things, but this is the worst I’ve ever had to wait for food. Had to put more money in the parking meter just so I could wait for them to finish the food so I could take it to-go. Only reason it’s getting 2 stars instead of one is because of the girl at the front that seemed to be trying to keep things together while waiting for the kitchen staff to get their s*** together. Don’t offer food items if you can’t produce them in an efficient manner!

I went to this place today which is August 4th, 2018 with my wife and daughter. This place is totally good for young people who are younger than me and i am 35 years old. I ordered bahn mi, korean taco and roasted elote with some beers for me. Absolutely, don t get any korean named food because they are not korean food. I am a korean, so i know about korean foods. They are not korean. And about bahn mi, tjis place just use same sauce to make the korean taco. So not real bahn mi either. For the last food we got today, roasted elote, this is the first time i got this food but i will never pay for a corn more than $8. You can order thisbif you think you are richer than anyone else. About beer, truly, nothing was special.We went this place because we thought this was a german sausage place where we saw a long time ago.Bye bye. Will never go back this place.

We tried the beers Hazy AF, Czech Your Head, My Old Friend and Das Hoff, an Oktoberfest Märzen lager. No matter what things are called now and what you expect from the names: all the beers tasted excellent, especially My Old Friend, dark brown, opaque, wonderful!
