This place is amazing y’all! We’ve been here several times, and the food is always perfect! My favorite is the wonton soup and mapo tofu. My son loves the orange chicken, and my wife enjoys the salt and pepper shrimp and curry chicken. We highly recommend this restaurant!

Always so so so very delicious! The best orange chicken Ive found. The salt and pepper shrimps are big and perfectly seasoned. The curry chicken is wonderful! I always over order and cannot wait to eat the leftover when I get home.

Love this place. Food is always on point. Lunch special is great. I love the consistency and options. After the shut down they seem to be back up and running. Almost everything Ive tried here has been great. Some of the 1 or 2 star reviews complain about sauce, but if you want more sauce get a meal that has a ton of it not those that are breaded. Below is the vegetable mapo Tofu. So good!

Sichuan food from this place is way different typical Chinese food. For sure, try their house special cold noodles for a refreshing dish with a balance of sweet, savory, Szechuan spicy and salty. I like their Mushu pork as well, savory and meaty with a mix of crunchy vegetables.

I came here one afternoon with my brother because the food is usually decent. We sat, ordered our food, and they served us soup of choice. Within 2 minutes, our entrees were coming out from the back. Upon arrival I noticed the rice was hard, like bottom of the pot hard. I really cant believe they tried to serve us OLD rice! Before you come for me, Im African and have eaten rice all my life, so I know what old rice looks and tastes like. Just disgusting and highly disappointing

Scallion pancakes are sooooooo good! The service was a bit slow but I think thats because they cook the food fresh after you order. We also got the den den noodles and the Shanghai dumplings. Well skip on the Shanghai dumplings next time.

Ordered 2 appetizers and the fried cheese wontons had imitation crab in them. I just wanted cheese. The chicken potstickers were a bit doughy. I wont return even though the ingredients and flavor are good. That was $20 of bad food

This place was not friendly whatsoever. I went in around lunch time maybe an hour after and there was barely any customers. The staff was friendly at first but when the hostess came to get our order and we started speaking to her, she walks away to assist another customer. I’m sorry but that was plain rude and non excusable. Mind you there was barely anyone in that establishment.

Very friendly waitress and tasty food. Took my dad for lunch. Tge food is spicy. We had Mongolian beef and Mongolian lamb with potstickers. Potstickers were ok, just different than we are use to. Would go back, just order the food mild.

Kang pao chicken was awful 😖 . Ive been eating here for last eight years and never had any issues with foods. Always on point and delicious. But was disappointed on holiday dinner out with my family. I would think twice before I order Kang pao chicken and would be hesitate to come out here again. NO STAR FOR TONIGHT.

Use to be a good place to eat. Won’t eat there ever again. I called them from home. Told them I’d like to bring food back into restaurant and have it remade. There’s was hair and a cockroach in our lemon chicken. The lady told me it was impossible and that they would not remake my food. Our family wound up throwing out the whole dinner. These people are very rude and arrogant and they think they make no mistakes. Our family will never eat there again. We will find a better restaurant that is more respectful to their customers. My recommendation is, DO NOT EAT THERE!

The best Chinese-type food around. Much higher quality ingredients and sauces than most and a good mix of less American Chinese food on the menu. Admitidely, they could use more description for some of these items so they appear less scary.For example some of my favorites:Szechwan (YuShiang) chicken is just nicely cooked, thin chicken mixed with onion, green/red pepper, zuchini, some mushrooms, and bamboo shoots in a tasty garlic and soy based sauce. Good depth of flavor and a joy to eat!The dry fried food is just crispy, lighly breaded meat of choice served with hot peppers and a special peppercorn that makes your tounge feel slightly numb for a few minites while eating. Not unpleasant at all and is a really fun experience for your first time, but so, so delicious that youll keep ordering it.And their meat-less meals are quite tasty for those who dont eat meat.All that being said, you should definitely come here instead of the nearby Panda Express that opened in the same parking lot. Youll pay a similair price for higher quality, fresher food and you are supporting a small local business. Do the right thing!

It used to be a tasty place to eat but NOT ANYMORE, LOOKS LIKE NEW OWNERSHIP.. DONT EAT HERE!! Dried chicken was very salty, chow fun had no flavor, oily and one slice of pork for my meat choice. Sizzling rice soup was sad, no flavor and 2 rice crackers heated so they can sizzle in front of us.. they call that sizzling soup. Its very expensive for the disgusting food we got. My husband and I felt sick after eating this food. The young female waitress was very rude too, she shouldnt be serving customers if she hates her job. WILL NEVER COME BACK AGAIN !!! 🤢🤮

I loved the food . My favorite out of the few dishes I ordered was the dry fried lamb . I was impressed by the freshness off the food . I pay attention to the quality of the freshness and grade of ingredients used in the food I eat. Certain textures, smell, and the visual look of my prepared food along with taste has to be right for me to enjoy my food (Im very picky). I was able to eat and really did appreciate how delicious everything was. Ive eaten at most Chinese places here in Elk Grove and only two I liked before eating here.

Food tasted ok but not amazing, I ordered the combo chow mein and it legit came with only two small pieces of each of the three meats in it and the shrimp were breaded in such a soggy breading I mistook them for being more chicken at first.Nothing was dry though and the flavors werent bad, just very small portions of meat considering they charge you extra for the fact that theres shrimp in it.

Had lunch there based on reviews. Ordered Lemon chicken, which was flavorful but DRY. The rice was warm and dry, not a very good way to present rice on a Chinese restaurant. Would be impossible to eat with chopsticks. The soup was just ok, would of preferred wonton like Wonderful restaurant served.

Hidden Sichuan is our favorite Asian restaurant in Elk Grove. I love the spicy, complex, layered flavor profiles. Magic chili beef is great! I normally dont like fish, but I always order st least one fish dish a visit. The dish is tender and succulent. There are mild dishes for those not into spicy, and vegetarian mock meat dishes, which I have not tried yet.

I’ve been to this restaurant many times in the past before the pandemic, I’m glad that they open back up, but I was disappointed with my food. I ordered Mongolian beef. There was more onions and beef, and the meat was hard to chew. There was very little sauce! I guess I’ll go back to the tea Garden, it’s closer to where I live.

Magic Chili Chicken is extremely overpriced at $19! We all know prices in general are rising, but this is gouging. Chicken is the cheapest of the proteins. Check the rest of their prices. Quality does not justify the price.

The AmbienceThe restaurant was nice and clean, not necessarily spectacular but professional for the type of establishment. At the time that we went, we were the only guests, the attendant sat us down right away.TasteWe ordered chow mein with chicken, shrimp fried rice, and sweet and sour chicken. The Chow mein was decent, the shrimp fried rice was a tad bit too salty, and the sweet and sour chicken was flat, not sweet at all and did not taste like chicken unfortunately. I not sure what meat was passed off as chicken, but I don’t recall chicken being too chewy or rubbery eeeew.RecommendationsI would not recommend the Sweet and Sour chicken, I would ask them to be careful with the salt content if one orders shrimp fried rice if anyone wants to give it a shot. I do not think I would return or personally give a recommendation, but might be a fair spot for some.

Updated to include broader experience with the menu hereIm more and more impressed with the scope of their menu. Their dry-cooked items are outstanding. Slightly crunchy, slightly chewy, good but not overpowering heat. Xiong qing chicken also excellent (be sure to order it with the bones in). Cold spicy noodles with minced pork and cucumbers was delightful. The hot chili oil not only packed good numbing heat-- it was also packed with complex spices like whole coriander seeds and black cardamon. Lots to explore here.Lunch specials are reasonably priced. You get the house soup, side of rice or noodles, and a generous entree serving. The ma po tofu is quite good.Only one patron at a time allowed at a time to order take out. Mask required. Service is really fast. Just a few minutes for most dishes.

The food was really good. I was surprised that they had decent quality food. But the service was mediocre and the restaurant was really slow. There were only 2 customers and the lady at the front was in a grumpy mood. They need to hire better/friendly staff. And if that lady is the owner of the restaurant, then maybe she needs to take customer service classes. I have magic Chilli peppers chicken which was really good food. So kudos to the chef for cooking such a great meanl.

The food taste way better than of Panda Express. A single entree plate comes in a large portion enough to feed at least two-three people. Its a nice place to take your family out for dinner, but not recommended for larger groups or for hosting parties at. Unfortunately, this place dont serve combo plates and ordering a single entree plate can add up your bill.

The best Chinese in Elk Grove!!! I was so disappointed when Peach Garden closed or changed owners some years ago. They had the live fish, lobster and crab tank. Well pleasantly surprised the owners here are the former owners of Peach!!! It’s just a smaller joint and the aquarium is replaced by a video on the wall. I probably shouldn’t post this because I should keep the place “ Hidden” or it will be a wait to get in. The food is amazing and right now the prices are amazing for the quality of food. Been there enough times we are called by our first names. Check them out!

I enjoyed every single bit of my food when I came here. Nice place! Me and my mom came here awhile back and we had so much fun just being able to chat. The only thing I dont like is that the place is small, you can hear everyones conversations and it gets loud fast. There is nothing the staff or the restaurant can do about it with is ok. My entire family was appalled by the poor dinner service the day after Christmas. It was a owner/management issue because the waitress was also the hostess, cashier, busboy. She had to serve as many as 40 people at a time and deal with take out orders. She literally was the only staff we saw in the dining room. Food is ok, but horrible and rude serviceVery bad attitude. I ordered a meal around 8.30pm in the evening. The female boss said that it was okay, so she ordered a few dishes as quickly as possible and came to pick up the meal at 8.53pm. The female boss didnt say anything while picking up the meal, and just tapped the cashier system with her finger. It means coming here to give money. Does this mean you are unhappy? Im sending you business, but youre still being treated rudely? ? Very rude! Will not be returning.
