2023-07-09 14:25:57We were walking to another restaurant when we passed Higo Express and decided to stop in because of the pics of food they had outside and we were glad we did. My husband ordered the Lomo Saltado with filet mignon, I ordered the ceviche mixta, and we shared Higo tacos. The Lomo Saltado, plantains, and aji verde (spicy green sauce) were delicious, although the egg was a little overcooked. The Higo tacos were also very good. I thought the ceviche mixta was a little off-tasting, but my husband thought it was great. The inside of the restaurant was cool and clean. We are excited to come back and try the pollo a la brasa (Peruvian rotisserie chicken) because we saw someone else order it and it looked and smelled amazing.

2021-03-25 04:45:53Delicious delicious food! Hands down this has been a great (close to me) alternative for Peruvian food and on top of that, they have sushi!!! Japanese AND Peruvian??? Yes please! The chicken was so flavorful and soft. My daughter loved it! Lomo saltado was great too! The flavor was there. Had Plantains and oh wow! Im a huge fan of fried plantains and very picky but they nailed it here! The staff was so friendly from the very beginning to the end. We ate inside and they were actually attentive while eating there.

2023-11-17 03:14:46Food is a hit or miss depending for a specific plate for now, the new owner has removed pollo la brasa which takes the purpose of becoming a Peruvian restaurant in general, their tallarin was ordered 3 times and here’s what was gathered between all three plates1. Taste is amazing, portion is way smaller then most restaurants but I understand, it’s business.2. They serve you soup and salad with chopped fresh orange which is nice to have and also a green spice that adds a kick to your plate.3. The plates are either very juicy towards the bottom of the plate or it’s very dry which makes the tallarin (noodles) very dry and have no flavor. Conclusion: place is amazing with the new color scheme but again, for the price of three plates and beverages, the flavor can improve and so can the portion, the free sides are just light meals that not many will consume.

2023-09-28 22:35:32If you enjoy Peruvian food, specially roasted chicken, check this place out. Their lomo saltado is delicious, but the upgrade it better!! Ask for extra green sauce, youre welcome 🤗

2023-09-24 23:37:11Great food. We got a half chicken, house sushi and something with fries and chicken. It was all soooo good.We were looking for a sushi place near Frank & Sons and found this. It hit all the right spots. We even splurged and got some Inca cola for the long drive home

2020-05-17 20:46:01Stopped by to try this place since I had great experiences with the Higo Sushi in La Habra. The service was on point (kind and attentive) and everything looked fresh and clean inside. The shrimp on my Higo Roll was cooked excellently and the flavors and texture of the roll was great. The nacho dish was a generous portion of spicy tuna and avocado with wonton chips. I highly recommend that too.Its a little pricey, but you get the quality you pay for. Whatever you get, you gotta try the green sauce. It was fantastic. Looking forward to trying more dishes later.Tough break that they opened during quarantine, but I hope they do well.

2023-11-10 21:24:55The teriyaki chicken was cold . If I didn’t ask for rice, they won’t bring it out that rice is included. It was overpriced.
