Positive: Friendly and accommodating staff and the cleanliness. Negative: That the breakfast was not included. Very disappointing.
Super convenient location if you have kids at UCSB. Its close to the major shopping center and the freeways, but much quieter and cleaner than the hotels on the other side of the airport. Also has a nice fitness center and a mini-market to pick up any snacks. Our room was very quiet; there was a big wedding party staying on our floor and we were not disturbed at all!
So disappointing, especially because of the price. The hotel in general, needs updating and major cleaning. Our room had a shower that took 20 mins to get warm ( during a drought, really?) The carpets were dirty, pillows and bedding were old. Airplane/siren and street noise.If you are anywhere near the rooftop bar, you will hear it. Every space of this hotel is rented out. They can’t even get a suit pressed but totally booked for a black tie wedding. Breakfast wasn’t good either. We are re-thinking our Hilton honors membership.
Beautiful, immaculate hotel! One of cleanest hotels I have visited!! Excellent facilities and friendly staff. This was my first visit to this hotel, located near Beautiful Santa Barbara and the Santa Barbara Airport. The hotel is located in Goleta, convenient to numerous shopping and dining options. The hotel is well maintained and appears brand new. However, after inquiring at the front desk, I learned the hotel is actually five years of age. Nevertheless, the hotel facilities and guestrooms feel, look, and even smell new! All of the hotels common areas, including the lobby, registration desk, pool and convenience area is totally immaculate. The hotel is nicely landscaped and well appointed and furnished. My guestroom was quiet and comfortable. It seemed a little larger than the average hotel guestroom. My guestroom included modern, upgraded furnishings and decor, including a mini-fridge, microwave, comfortable bedding, large work desk, and convenient reading lights for reading in bed (a true luxury for me!). Although I didnt get a chance to use the pool, it looked very clean and refreshing. The hotel has a roof top restaurant and lounge, which my colleagues report being very nice. Unfortunately, due to a private event the evening of my stay, I didnt get to experience it. If youre traveling without transportation, as I and my colleagues, there are numerous restaurants and shopping options within walking distance of the hotel. Due to the private event at the hotel, my colleagues and I visited the Chilis located across the street. Finally, the hotel registration staff was excellent! Upon arrival and departure, the front desk staff was efficient, professional and extremely friendly. I am a huge fan of the Hilton Garden Inn brand, and this hotel is the epitome of a superb, comfortable, immaculate hotel!

Beautiful lobby and accommodation. Sparkling clean bathroom and the best pillows of any hotel. My television didnt work when I arrived and housekeeping sent a tech to my room within minutes. The technician even refused my tip!
This was a great experience. It was clean and spacious. Simple but elegant. Staff were friendly. Parking was decent.The only thing that could have improved with our room was that the bed frame was squeaky (not the bed itself). But it wasnt a deal breaker by any means.I really loved the blackout curtain and warm interior lighting.
I usually book a vacation rental for my husband & I when we visit our daughter away at college in Goleta, CA. Never again! It was always very uncomfortable and a little stressed not knowing how indeed the homes/rooms would fair vs. the ads for the vacation rentals all whilst getting less worth the potential money saved staying at a full service hotel.The difference in vacay rentals and this Hilton Garden Inn is massive!From the ease of booking the room, arriving at the lobby greeted so great, the room was super clean & modern w/everything we needed and more! The gym had newish machines that worked like new! The rooftop patio bar was enchanting! Got some great pics of the sunset and the fire pit!Theres a little market in the lobby that has everything, the housecleaning crew were adorable and so helpful!An all around 10 outta 10 experience. Ill always stay here when visiting our daughter!! Thank you for the perfect stay!!! :)
The hotel was very elegant and the rooms were very nice. When entering you could tell how well they take care of the building. They did have breakfast but that was an additional $13/ person. There is also a nice rooftop bar with a great atmosphere for hanging out. They recommend booking in advance to have a seat.Pros:Elegant rooms.Clean and safe location.Rooftop bar with food.DirectTV in rooms.Cons:The wifi was spotty and hard to connect to.Water pressure and heat of water was seriously lacking.
Stayed there during for Thanksgiving. Very welcoming staff, good room and swimming pool. However the breakfast was a total disaster : buffet was almost empty (few fruits and some bread) and was not replenished, staff told that there were out of orange juice, coffee not great. And on top of that the elite breakfast credit is confusing and I received only it partially. Next day I went to a nearby cafe and got a MUCH better breakfast for less money.
Rooms are spacious. Bed is comfortable. Air cools and heats quickly. Bathroom is decent sized. Shower is walk in. Lever below shower knob controls water flow rate. Mini fridge works quite well. TV is large. Food at the rooftop restaurant is plentiful and drinks are cold. Pool is nice with cabanas.
Keeping in mind that youre in Goleta and not Santa Barbara.. The location is great theres plenty of places to eat in walking distance. Youre fairly Central in terms of being close to the beach or a relatively short drive to Santa Barbara. The hotel itself is clean Services good the rooms are large. Nothing not to like.
Positive: Nothing !! Especially the crap I paid for and didn¿t enjoy !! $--- and change for one night. I don¿t care what holiday or occasion it is, you overcharged and next time you won¿t be one of the hotels I will or even consider Negative: Bad smell, horrible bed and dirty, shower and bathroom door won¿t close always stay open, and the shower door won¿t close either it¿s broken, can¿t close it all the way.
Rooms were clean and well stocked. Breakfast down stairs was fine. Not work the money but convenient. Pool was clean and we used it every night. Lobby bathrooms needed more frequent cleaning. This is a really convenient location to UCSB and therefore a little more busy and load. The airport was only occasionally load.
Got put up at the Hilton Garden Inn due to a delayed flight. Very close to the airport. Staff were very helpful and super friendly. The only knock was the room. A little dirty and slightly beat up, but it did the trick.
Stay here several times a year. The hotel is always clean and the service is excellent. Great location and accommodating staff. Would highly recommend when staying in Santa Barbara area.
Clean room, a little damaged but functional. Rooms have no drawers, only shelves which are less useful for clothing. Some rooms are spacious, but lack higher end touches.
I felt the front desk clerk had an negative attitude towards me because i used priceline after asked the room rate.I was given the last room on the corridor, streetside.*i liked the last room at the end of the corridor.As a sugesstion; the clerk could have offered/negotiated a different rate.The clerk spoke the script so fast, the completion time felt like 3 minutes or less.4 me,The cleark failed to offer complimentary water at the front desk - as the complimentary was offered with the guests b4 me.I felt like an unwelcome guest.Now,i must walk to the front desk for waterPerhaps the employee is taking the job too personally,After all,senior management makes the price.point deals with travel agencies.Oh. There was a correction to the complimentary water; the water is complimentary IF a person holds a hilton honors club membership.Memberships:where the #attitude/discrimination begins!I enjoy the walk to the front desk after traveling (seated) 5 hours today.There is a coffee maker in the room with no water; the water from the bathroom sink can be used- its the same water that fills the toilet.2 months ago,i stay @hilton garden inn, in oxnard & the staff offered water.Then there is a jet airport;planes landing,Ouch!Quite the experience for a $20.usd price difference.The room is equiped withShower only; no bath-4 me, no bath is a deal breaker.I feel like leaving to a hotel half this price of $400.! Stayed at this hotel for one night while waiting for a flight. This Garden Inn was close to the airport, with clean spacious rooms, and the absolute nicest staff. Would stay here again!
This hotel was way to expensive for what it offered. The rooms were extremely sub par with small beds, uncomfortable mattresses, sheets that wouldn’t stay on the bed, large stains in the carpet, taped up P-tac unit wall air conditioners that were loud, old showers with tubs and disgusting non slip mats. They had coffee out all day that was a plus at first, but two times I went to get some and both containers were empty. Front desk staff just stared at us instead of filling it or getting more. Paying close to $400 a night was a joke. Location only. The Marriott in town was better.
The guy collecting dirty dishes didnt change gloves or wash hands before handling serving utensils.

The room was clean and the location was ok - close to the highway and there are several restaurants and shops in the malls across the street. Its just way overpriced for what it is - paying $400 a night just for a clean room is a bit crazy. Its not close to the beach, the pool is tiny, the shower head was very small and awkward, no ventilation in the bathroom, the AC is very loud, very few amenities in the hotel. It was a disappointment. Next time were gonna stay in Motel 6, as I dont see how this is supposed to be twice as good for double the price. The experience is basically the same, just an expensive logo on the roof.
The staff was very friendly. We had trouble getting an Uber at 5am, and the front desk attendant was print to give us the number of a cab company that picked us up within 10 minutes. The room was as expected. It seemed clean, but they didnt take any extra safety measures (anti bacterial wipes, hand sanitizer, etc.). When I first got in, the TV didnt work and they had to send a technician up to fix it. He arrived quickly and fixed the problem. The fire alarm also went off one day, but thats not the hotels fault. The coffee was nice and hot early in the morning 😊 I would stay again, but an overall average experience.
The hotel staff were all very helpful and accommodating of my large group needs for a family wedding. Hotel is located in a nice spot that has easy to access to the freeway. Only 4 stars because Im not thrilled about only receiving partial credit for breakfast and other meals as part of their new Diamond credit program.
Excellent hotel! Our stay was so pleasant here. The receptionist on Friday night was so friendly and accommodating. She also provided us with complimentary water which was super appreciated. The rooms were very clean and so were the bathrooms. My entire party was very happy with their rooms. Definitely recommend staying here. The price was reasonable too.
I stayed here for 3 days/ 2 nights while on a work trip. I had reserved a meeting room for a few days as well. This hotel came recommended by a coworker.My experience was nothing short of excellent and easy. My needs were accommodated in a professional way and if I had questions they were answered. The front desk staff was extremely helpful (unfortunately I didnt catch their names) and while some of the staff seemed new to the hotel, were very knowledgeable and confident with their knowledge.Thank you to Patricia and Garrett for making this trip enjoyable and seamless.The upstairs bistro was also pretty neat too, with live music and and good views.My only gripe is the breakfast was not complimentary and not advertised well as being not complimentary in my opinion. Regardless, the breakfast was tasty and worthwhile.I highly recommend this hotel for business purposes and personal purposes.Thanks again folks!
I felt very comfortable with the accommodations here, especially comfortable with the level of cleanliness. The room even smelled clean and disinfected. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. I had no worries with staying socially distant from anyone. I will definitely be back!

We stayed here for a night on a recent road trip. The hotel is conveniently located off the highway. The location itself is not very good though in that it is so close to the highway that it is very loud and there is also nothing really around. All good restaurants are in downtown SB which is at least 15 mins drive away.The room itself was clean and spacious. The bed was comfy as well. The AC/heating system is horrific though as it is so loud and sounds like a snow machine. There is no way one does not wake up at night when it turns on.We were also not very impressed with the staff. Both at check-in and check-out front desk agents were not very friendly or particularly helpful.
Perfect hotel in the perfect location. Close to the exit from the freeway, without any freeway noise. Plenty of restaurants around, close to the UCSB campusHotel had a nice pool, along with a rooftop bar/restaurant. Rooms were nice. They have their Hilton stamp of sophistication.Would definitely recommend as a place toRest and to enjoy while in town
Super friendly staff and a very nice facility... roof top bar prices overpriced..while the staff was friendly, I didnt care for the food. I had the shrimp taco..wouldnt order it again. The bar, however, offers a beautiful unobstructed view from the mountains. The limo driver was the most joyful driver, as well as the lady at the front desk. Very friendly folks!!! Impressive!! I would highly recommend this hotel. Very cozy, modern!
The location of this hotel is fantastic! I had a rental car for my entire stay, but it stayed in the parking lot because I was able to walk to tons of restaurants and stores.My only criticism is that the music from the Rooftop Bar on the 4th floor resonates through to the 3rd floor, where I stayed. Therefore, if you are traveling with young kids who go to bed before 9 p.m, they may have a very hard time sleeping over the sound of the booming music.I was very happy to find that there was coin operated laundry on the first floor as well as a heated outdoor pool. The fitness room was a bit lacking, but better than nothing.This hotel does not have a business center, but there are multiple conference rooms that the staff was willing to open so that I had a place to work while the cleaning service was freshening up my room.I was also very happy to find that there was a mini fridge and microwave in the room. These came in very handy over my extended stay.
View was of metal siding about 4 feet from the window. Mattress was extremely worn with impressions from what I assume was years of use. Very difficult to sleep on and destroyed my back. Owners state that they are flipped quarterly. There was a tag at the foot of the bed that said it was at the foot of the bed in April, May, June, which means the mattress hasnt been flipped for 9 months. No cleaning service on one of the days and therefore no replacement of coffee pods. I didnt use the Do not disturb sign for the entire stay. All of this can be forgiven at a cheap motel, but I expected more for the price. I feel you pay a higher price to avoid these cheap motel antics. For the record, I did call the front desk when I found out about the room service. Nothing was done other than getting replacement coffee cups. Never again.

The Good: New hotel with clean, quiet, comfortable guest rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff--especially Dylan who deserves a huge thank you! The walk-in shower was nice to have versus the traditional tub. Also the ability to open the window to get fresh air was great. The hotel restaurant was decent, but the rooftop bar was great! The bank of outlets next to the bed above the end table was great to have as well.The Bad: Despite being a new hotel, the bed was squeaky, or rather the box springs were. I would prefer a platform bed instead that didnt make nose. Also, there were a few ants spotted in the bathroom. Not a lot of them, but I worried they might be scouts for a larger group. Also, this is nit picky, but the hotel parking lot entrance is a little tricky.The Ugly: Dont stay in rooms numbered 335 to 348 if you are staying Friday or Saturday night and you plan on being in your room between 5pm and 9pm. With the loud music playing directly above you in the rooftop bar, the room essentially becomes a speaker, and you can barely hear yourself think. I would stay here again, but I would ensure I was not in these rooms during those times.
The rooms are nice they have great blackout shades the room we stayed in had wonderful balcony, but the party that we were involved with had a dinner that sucked our choices were salmon or prime rib.I got the prime rib, and it was like chewing on the shoe leather Express, my wife got the salmon and she said it was the worst fishy tasting salmon that shes ever had in her life....
Went for drinks with a girlfriend at the rooftop bar. The drinks were good, if a bit pricey. The service was excellent. I like the live music and the clean decor. The view is somewhat wanting, but I was there to hang with friends, not stare at the Kmart. Plenty if parking. The area is well lit and secure. The highway traffic noise was not noticeable, surprisingly. I would come back at Happy Hour for sure.
Amazing cooked to order breakfast, first class front desk service, nice modern rooms, clean, good workout room and pool, I highly recommend. Road noise was a little loud at night, but they cant control that. Did I mention the staff was wonderful? Really, truly. Thanks for a fantastic experience!
As a Diamond Member, most Hilton properties will treat you as such. Not this place. I was told that they were sold out and could not offer an upgrade. I normally would believe that, but the parking lot was barren. I was in and out throughout he day, and there was always parking in front. No elevator traffic throughout the day. That never happens when a property sells out. They did not offer breakfast. I know about the pandemic, but you can serve meals outside and this place has a rooftop restaurant and the weather was nice. But I guess I should be grateful for my two bottles of water
Nice hotel not far from the airport. It is on the main road but I wasnt bothered by noise during my stay. I believe the beach is a few miles walking distance. Easy walk to Target across the street for whatever you need during your stay. There was a nice rooftop bar which is cozy for a drink. The front desk always has multiple people who were very friendly and knew what they were doing. I did not have the breakfast but there is a nice area for snacks and drinks you can purchase if you dont feel like leaving the hotel. The location is surrounded by multiple high-traffic roads, so be careful when walking.
Im giving 5 stars for the service our entire girls basketball team received. Garrett at reception was amazing and accommodated space for us on a very rainy day without hesitating. A true example of professionalism. From housekeeping to the services for breakfast we could not have been in better hands. Thank you to the entire team.
I had a wonderful experience here. Upon arrival the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Check-in was extremely easy. The room was well managed and stocked. I called the front desk for plates and glasses. They were at my room within minutes. Thank you, I definitely plan on staying here again in the future.
I cant love this hotel enough! Large, updated rooms. Clean facilities. Comfortable accommodations. Outdoor pool. Parking. Restaurants and shopping within walking distance. The rooftop happy hour is awesome to have a drink and watch the sunset. Its a nice walk down the road from the beach as well. The staff is extremely friendly!
We had a wonderful stay! We reserved a room with 2 queen size beds, the room itself was large with modern decor and ammenites. Such as a mini fridge, microwave and a Keurig coffee machine. However, there was no safe available.The staff were friendly and helpful and the location of the hotel was conveniently located next to the freeway and there were plenty of stores within walking distance. Would definitely stay again.
The hotel is located near marketplace shopping center. Starbucks; Target; and restaurants are all within walking distance. The shuttle to Chumash casino is located behind home Depot. This Hilton as a bar and grill on the main floor and a roof top bistro on the 4th floor. The staff and customer service is fantastic.
I have attended two workshops at this Hilton. The conference rooms were clean, quiet, equipped with outlets in the tables. The overall sense I have is of a clean, beautifully organized space in the lobby area. Parking is easy. My only concern is that it can be hard to access the free wifi. Hey, at this price, Im not complaining!
Nice hotel. A little away from places. So need a car. About a 40 min walk from Isla Vista. A 20 min drive from downtown Santa Barbara. Other than that, very roomy reception and lobby area. Great rooms. They have a little snack corner that you can buy snacks and cup o noodle type things, thats always open. Id stay here again.
I’m a very picky person & I can’t say a single bad thing about this Hotel. Nice staff, clean rooms. Most importantly, very quiet for a good nights sleep. This place definitely earns its 5 star rating.
Survey is so lengthy and I see same question over and over again.This Hilton is not clean. the carpet is horrible. Its color changedPLEASE clean carpet with a carpet cleaning machine.Next reservation was at Double tree, it was extremally clean but they have problem with their windows, it does not close all the way so there is a lot of noise in the room especially the hotel is on the street.Hilton dont deserve what they charging us for.I think they need new management (High level manager should give opportunity for somebody else).Thanks
What a strange hotel. Nice accommodations but we had ants in our bathroom. $16 breakfast, even if you’re just getting toast and coffee. Outrageously priced drinks on the rooftop ($17 for an old fashioned. Really?). Coffee was 500,000 degrees and had to wait at least 30 minutes for it to cool down to a drinkable temperature every morning. No doubt - this hotel is a tourist trap.

We had our “Welcome Dinner” for the start to our wedding weekend on the rooftop and the view was fantastic! All the staff were easy to work with, and everything worked out perfectly. Can’t beat the view/sunset!!We also had our wedding room block here and all guests were satisfied.
The view is very nice, Im surprised I hadnt heard how cool it is being up there. There arent too many other tall buildings around, and its relatively flat so you can see pretty far! It did get a bit cold, but their menu was a bit lacking. They didnt even have non alcoholic drinks on the menu! Otherwise I would have given them 5 stars (but be aware it was a bit pricey too).

I stayed here for 2 nights for business. This hotel was finished October 2017 and the rooms still smell like they are brand new! Rooms are spacious, not loud, and very nice/modern. The rooftop bar is awesome as well - great views and super nice bar staff (the bartenders gave me a great recommendation for a sushi place down the road - Goleta Sushi House). I ate breakfast in the lobby for the 2 mornings I was there as well. It is a little pricey (but every hotel bfast is) but it was really delicious and again they had great wait staff! Definitely will be returning to this hotel should I ever travel to Santa Barbara again!
Building had an overall nice feel. Staff was unprofessional with handling matters. Rooms had walls that were paper thin with parties happening in different rooms. Location was alright.
The best experience possible during a very terrible time (loss of a loved one). Several family members were in for the week and the Hilton Garden Inn & staff stepped up and were professional, courteous and cordial at all times. Much accommodation was made to our needs even though the hotel was booked and the staff was very busy. Apologies if we miss anyone in our praise but a heartfelt thank you to one of the managers Jarett, the desk staff Romelle, Kayla & Aaron and the restaurant server staff Stella, Heather & Forrest. A great business is only as good as its people and the Hilton Garden Inn is set.
This is definitely a 5 star hotel for the price. Excellent customer service and workers with great attitudes. They were actually friendly. Rooms and bathrooms are clean. Breakfast cooked to order as far as what they advertise. Good night of sleep.

Expect to pay 130 but also expect a good nights sleep. Their beds are comfy as hell and the room was super clean. Only complaint was that there is no sit down breakfast but, that was a small complaint versus a good nights sleep.
Nice and convenient hotel with easy access and parking right in front. Rooms are spacious with comfortable beds and all amenities including chargers for USB and type C and a large tv. Didnt have a chance to enjoy the common areas or breakfast due to covid-19 restrictions.
Extremely dissatisfied with the General Manager. We understand the mask policy, but countlessly hunting us down to put our mask on when nobody else was wearing it is unethical. We booked 50 plus rooms for a wedding only for it to bombarded by strict rules of the GM. We are all hotels owners & operators and will be sure to make sure our friends and family never stay here again. The actual wedding was at the Hilton beachfront resort where not one person had asked us to put our mask on and that event had 500+ people. Hospitality should be every hotels forte, obviously not for the GM of the Hilton Garden Inn in Gelota, California.
Great breakfast and roof top restaurant!
We came here for breakfast with our daughter & 2 grandchildren on a whim. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by our waitress, Stella, who announced kids eat for free that day, (Saturday). Breakfast is served in the lobby area, which seemed odd, but ok. They serve buffet & a few special order items, all for $16 per person. Food was good, atmosphere nice & our waitress was excellent. I had Eggs Benedict, my husband & daughter had the breakfast burritos, all served with potatoes, sausage & bacon on the side & the kids had several helpings of scrambled eggs, sausages & bacon, cereal & juice. Quite a deal as far as we were concerned. We will be back!
We stay here for work when we are in Santa Barbara and I do enjoy this hotel. The rooms are real clean, the staff is super nice and it’s near a lot of good food and beverage options. About a 20 minute walk to the beach or a short drive. Definitely recommend!
Very clean, but I was especially impressed by the staff. EVERYONE was exceptionally pleasant and thoughtful -- from the front desk, to the wait staff, to the cleaning crew. Im a senior who has traveled extensively, and the folks who work at this Hilton are top-notch!
I suppose if you check in on a Sunday, and check out on Monday, you would miss out on some amenities. I missed out on the Rooftop Cafe, but otherwise deserving of my rating. Super clean and very quite. I would stay again if Im on a different schedule.
Amazing staff and service! Beautiful and stylish accommodations. Luxurious beds and linnens. Centrally located for dining and entertainment. . Ill be back. 👍😎❤️ They even accommodated our two semis greeting us in the parking lot and treated us with respect and dignity.
I am always very happy with the service at the Hilton Garden Inn in SB. Stella is amazing and I love staying here. I would recommend anyone to stay here.
Nice hotel near UCSB for under $200. However, the manager, Alex, is extremely unprofessional and rude! I will definitely follow up with corporate. His tone and actions were definitely unwarranted, and even the front desk apologized when he walked away. Next month upon my return to the area, I will stay at the Marriotts Courtyard Santa Barbara/Goleta to avoid this poor customer service experience. However, his attitude did not reflect my interactions with other staff (house keeping, front desk, etc,) who were warm, friendly and helpful.
Super clean. Friendly front desk. Had my room ready even a little early. Fancy sliding barn door for the bathroom for when I need to open my barn door. Pretty pricey but that seems standard for the area.
Took my kids to Santa Barbara for the weekend. Picked the hotel so they have a warm pool to swim in at the end of the day. The pool had large chunks of feaces/stool in it all weekend. Disaster.
We live in town but decided to go in and try their breakfast buffet. They had the usual spread but also had omelettes, breakfast burritos, and eggs Benedict, made to order. Our server, Stella, was remarkable. She would always be near to help my parents and my toddlers. She was so friendly; my 2.5yo dropped her last pancake and Stella immediately placed in an order of pancakes to make her happy again! Well be back for sure!,
Nice clean rooms ! Bathroom a little small . I am HHonors member and usually when you arrive, they ask you if you would like free bottled water. The guy at the reception never asked, and I had to ask if they were available. Also, the DirecTV didnt work, so we just had one channel to watch ...
Fantastic staff who are responsible and caring on top of a prime location in Goleta by great restaurants. And you can always hit the rooftop bar with the great live music for a bite in the evening.
The Hilton Garden Inn in SB is an amazing place to stay if you are visiting SB! It is about a 15 min drive to downtown SB and it is 40 mins away from Solvang. The service was spectacular. Our room had plenty of towels and extra blankets. Adding on, there is a target right across the street. Our car had some issues and the hotel was able to help us out free of charge! I highly recommend staying at this hotel. Youll have everything you need for your visit and its an awesome location.
Very nice hotel with friendly staff. Rooms were nicely laid out with great veiws of the mountains. Rooftop bar had a great environment with live music on certain days. Had a great time would definitely stay agian.
The room was very nice and clean, the beds were comfortable, and the staff was friendly. The wifi was a little difficult to log on to on our phones, the sign in page wouldnt come up if we used chrome and would on Firefox (Android). Other than that, would stay at again.
This hotel is very new, open in October of last year. The staff are amazing. Especially Stella(Estalita). I totally recommend anyone to come here. It very huge and nice open space. They also have a roof top bar

Great room. Very clean, as it is a new building. We had in room Kureg coffee. Large shower. Gray color palette, trim floors tile. The bed was firm and comfortable. I will stay there again
I have stayed here a few times on business and love it. Its in the middle of town and great for walking to a multitude of stores and restaurants. Rooftop bar looks cool but never had a chance to visit.
Very clean and there’re COVID precaution signs everywhere. When I left the room in the morning, I already saw staff vacuuming the floors and cleaning the surroundings. The pool side view was a bit underwhelming though.
I enjoyed dinner and dessert upstairs on the patio with my parents. It was a very sophisticated and spacious environment, with heat lamps and a great view of Goleta below. The flat bread was delicious and the service was quick and friendly. I will be returning.
Went during COVID and we appreciated all the precautions and cleanliness of the hotel. Also the customer service was amazing but we were sad to find out the rooftop seating was closed. I think this shouldve stayed open especially because its outdoor.

No where near.The pool doesnt have a hot tub area. Bummer after a long day.Probably reconsider paying for the upgraded room with Balcony. I got it free, but other than a perfectly timed sunset, youll be hearing heavy Traffic and the near by Fire Station. Suggest Hilton raise the glass panels twice as high as they are.PROSThe place is very CleanThe Roof Top Bar was Exception. Im giving this a 5 star review because its the best deal weve found yet for the Santa Barbara area. Weve stayed in other motels nearby that were slightly cheaper, but they were always really old and had room maintenance issues that needed to be addressed. This one, however, is new and clean and they clearly built it with modern hotel users in mind (charging ports EVERYWHERE). Theyre also in walking distance of Cajun Kitchen (best breakfast in Goleta!) and Los Agaves (which is killer Mexican fare).While I was sad there wasnt a hot tub, thats the only thing complaint I have. Well be making this our usual hotel when visiting our family in the area for sure.

Update January 31, 2021.Back again for the night. HGI took all necessary precautions to protect the guests and staff. See pictures attached. Very clean room and sanitizing measures. Its like breaking the seal (outside the room) and enter a brand new room. I brushed my index finger on the top of the side table by the sofa, spotless and no dust!Impressive and thumbs up.**************************************Very impressive, dont be fooled by the name inn. Imaculous interior design, pay attention to all details in the guest rooms. Well coordinated furniture, decor, light fixtures, bathroom amenities, and even corner hinges in the shower door. Electric outlets and USB chargers all over the room...borh bedsides, working station, bathroom...Tip: you dont need to worry about bringing the chargers, just a cable suffice...of course you need the devices :-).However, the music can be loud from the rooftop lounge and the noise from the outdoor pool. Need double pane windows and better noise reduction measures to control the decibels from the rooftop bistro.
We went here for a meal, not for over night.For over night, it very much could be five stars. Good parking, easy to get to, everything is new and fancy.For a meal though, it was pretty good, but not great. Two of the three meals were over done. Pricing is high. And service was ok.
All the in-house eateries were closed, but there are many places to eat just across the street. The staff was great! Everything you need is super close and Santa Barbara is a short drive away. I will definitely stay there again.
Nice new hotel but sound seems to travel around the hotel. If you are there on Friday through Sunday nights they usually have a band on top of the hotel. Make sure you are on the first or second floor otherwise you get to enjoy the noise in your room as well.
Clean, quiet, and they make everything easy. Only thing I would like to see is their continental breakfast included. Some Hiltons do. Some dont.
Enjoyed the continental breakfast, central location and the cleanliness. I had my nails done in the shopping center across the street which also has a 24 hour Jack in the Box.
Their gym is open only by reservation. I stoped at the gym and it was empty, when I asked front desk to open the gym for me they informed that I have to wait for 30 min to make sure the person doesn’t come after the time she was supposed to be there. We are in California everyone is vaccinated and this is the only hotel in the country who has those restrictions.Not informing this ahead is a mistake and frustrating! Marriot hotels are way better and more organized!
Hotel provided the comforts when traveling good restaurant late afternoon to evening onsite rooftop ambience, breakfast, heated pool, wifi, snacks/coffee, and free parking. Location near the Goleta Marketplace with Starbucks, Home Depot (enjoyed--got to browse flooring, plants, appliances) and other businesses. Excellent customer service staff!

If youre in Santa Barbara but actually looking to go to Goleta and need a hotel check out the Hilton garden inn Santa barbara. Well the name is completely misleading with Santa Barbara on the name it is actually located in Goleta. Goleta is about 12 miles north of Santa barbara, actually very far from Santa Barbara if youre traveling. I believe this is a marketing strategy used by the Hilton to lure people looking to stay in Santa Barbara and goleta, be cautious because this is not done in your best interest. But if youre only looking to be in Goleta this is a great place to stay. If youre looking for a hotel in Santa Barbara this is not well located within the area of Santa barbara, this is actually located in goleta. The hotel is clean, the staff are nice the pool is small and the hotel roof is very nice
I checked in Saturday evening after traveling all day from Central America. All I wanted was to sleep. I was given room 336. All I got to do was to listen to the band in the upstairs bar. No other rooms available. The room was clean and comfortable but I should’t need ear plugs at a Hilton. Go elsewhere!

The bar manager was rude and unruly; I would also say somewhat racist. He definitely liked to flex his muscles and threatened to call the police all the while laughing at my companys face.Apparently youre only allowed to have two drinks per hour and theyre very serious at upholding this two drink an hour limit. if you plan on watching a sporting event or anyting and you want to have more than two drinks an hour DO NOT go here.He seemed to only be concerned with us, probably because of the color of our skin is what we came to conclude.Very very rude. Kind of ruined my entire Santa Barbara experience.
We are locals that will just go for their breakfast buffet. Kids wat free and so its an affordable option. We had both Sam and Julia helping us out and they are great. The breakfast burrito is tasty. The bar on top is nice also. They had a live band last Friday when we were there. A nice place to grab a beer and have some adult time. Sorry of wish they participated in the Axxess card so the deck gets a little expensive for locals. Otherwise, a great addition to Goleta.
Chose this location as it is only a few minutes from SB but well priced, has fee parking, nice lobby, cafe, restaurant onsite and a nice rooftop with happy hour and live music. Everything else is as per brand so you wont miss a thing. Lots of shops in the vicinity if you want to grab anything and I believe also a bus stop right outside.
Whats the single most important thing about a hotel? Not the breakfast, or the pool, or the pretty furniture. Its that they provide you with a place to stay when they say they will.I had a reservation at the Hilton Garden Inn in Goleta, CA last Saturday night.I went to check in, and found out they had cancelled my reservation earlier in the day.They said they called, but neither my home phone nor cell phone has a message from them. There are no missed calls on my cell phone (and they have that number). There is a missed call from a number I dont recognize on my home phone, but no message, and why would you call the home number about a travel problem?They said they emailed me, but I dont have that message. I even checked my spam folder. I have the message they sent the previous day telling me I could check in digitally for tonights reservation. I have the receipt for the previous nights stay at a different Hilton hotel. Obviously they have my email address and can send to it successfully.Pretty much every hotel in town is fully booked. I got lucky that one had a cancellation at the exact time I was looking for another room.So Im not planning to stay at a Hilton again. I have no reason to think they care about my one night I have reserved in three weeks, or the week I had planned but not yet booked for next month. Ive been a #HiltonHonors member since 2006, but havent been a heavy traveler, although that is changing.But when I do travel, the most important consideration is that I can rely on my hotel to give me a place to stay. And Hilton failed to do that.

This is a great hotel to stay when you are visitng UCSB. Its proximity is exteremely valuable and a service staff that is very friendly and up to the mark. The hotel is clean and the rooms are spacious.
Love the view. Very expensive. Had staff issues when a chair broke, and I fell. They treated me like a liability rather than a person. The manager tried to deflect it with ill presented humor, and I was very embarrassed in front of a group of co-workers.
Good selection of cocktails and wines. Cheese and charcuterie platter is delicious. Service is ok, but not serving alcohol to a grad student because her drivers license has recently expired?!
Ive stayed at the Goleta Hilton Garden Inn several times, with mixed results. Ive dealt with some really rude, smirky front desk people, but then some super nice people who ran the buffet. But — Im leaving a 1-star review because the scales just tipped. I had a reservation through Expedia this trip and tried to change the reservation date. Expedias website sent me round in a circle, so I ended up clicking Cancel so that I could just rebook with a new date. Then a message popped up that I was past the hotels refund cutoff. Called Expedia, and they called the hotel to explain why I needed a refund (so that I could rebook for another date), but the hotel refused to issue a refund through Expedia. Manager would not budge. Being a Hilton Honors member means nothing
A fantastic Roof top Bistro, complete with views, drinks, a plethora of seating options. And here the band arrives, Smooth Jazz under the stars. Could this be any better, very hard to beat!
Garret is rude and the way they go about things here are very unorthadox. I am a team member with Hilton and I have stayed at several properties and have never been spoken to in such a rude manner. I would highly recommend to not stay here. They canceled my reservation without my authorization. Never been treated with such disregard. This is not the hilton standard or way of hospitality. The only good thing Garrett did do for me and i would like to thank him for at least refunding me money after having to sleep in my car the last night here.
Don’t stay here! Especially if you are a softball team entering the tournaments at Elings Park! We booked a group block, tournament was cancelled and this hotel took $3975.36 from my child’s youth softball team because they wouldn’t let us cancel. That was literally all of the money we had and we didn’t even sleep there. They are unethical, immoral, and will rob your kids if they get a chance. They did nothing for this, but feel entitled. I would rather sleep in a flea bag motel than give these people my money.
What a nice place, where you are treated so nicely! The rooms are super clean, the grounds and surrounds are classy and well executed. After a long day on the road and at the old salt mine, this is a welcome retreat.

This place is great and newly renovated. The staff are amazingly friendly. Desk lady even walked up a roll-away bed at 1AM for us.
Went to heal after our devastating diaster in our family community and was then overcharged and misled by employees at the Bistro. It was such an expensive lesson. We will be sure not to ever recommend the Bistro to our friends in s positive way. We originally told so many that this was new jewel in our community. No satisfaction was even offered when we questioned what had happened to us.
The Hilton Garden Inn Santa Barbara/Goleta was super lit. The staff was friendly, incredibly nice rooms and the water bathrooms at the end of the hall were truely life savers. Will definitely be staying there again in the future!

Our son and daughter in law had booked a night at the Hilton Garden Inn in Santa Barbara/Goleta on May 18th, 2019.It was the night of their wedding and they were en route up toCarmel for their honeymoon.Their reservation was made in advance with the Hilton Garden Inn.They called to check on the reservation during the wedding festivitiesand were told everything was fine. When they arrived at the Hilton,their reservation was canceled. There had been a mixup because ofthe booking and they essentially had to find another hotel on theirwedding night.I would not recommend this place to ANYONE !
Very nice hotel and especially enjoy the rooftop bistro. However both times Ive been here their digital key system has not been working. Maybe theyre still working out the kinks?
This hotel is only a few years old and so everything is so beautiful and new. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The pool area is very nice and it has a rooftop Cafe.
Microwave dirty. Toilet seat loose and would not stay up. Not a fan of the breakfast, too expensive. Not my fav place. The location is convenient to shopping and restaurants. Glad only one night here

When I check in the room, the rubbish bin still have rubbish inside ( etc: used mask, tissue and some used paper) also, when I check in with the front desk, they told me that I have the complimentary breakfast but ended up when I go to get thebreakfast, they said I need to pay.
My room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The front desk staff was very accommodating and very helpful. Definitely will be staying there again.

Hotel prices are ridiculous in Santa Barbara but this was actually reasonable and the rooms nicely decorated. Room was spacious and comfortable and they have a pool that is nice to relax by/in. Good service at a reasonable price.

This is one of my favorite HGIs. They have a great rooftop bar (currently closed due to COVID) and they have done the best job of following COVID protocols of the hotels I have stayed in during the pandemic.

Its a good atmosphere but the roof to menu needs some reconstruction. Drinks are small but priced in my opinion too high for what you get.

Be careful with your stuff!! The cleaning staff was trying to open my suitcase. I locked my suitcase in the morning and when I came back, password was set to 111 which is the default password for some suitcases.
The Hilton garden Inn is beautiful and modern. The rooftop bar has a gorgeous succulent garden, and the clear railing allows for picturesque views of the splendor that is Goleta.
This is a very nice place but I think its bad to force people to pay for 2 nights since they only stayed for one night. Its not a very good business practice at all.

The walls are also very thin and there were a lot of random noises even during the night. Nice and good service. Small but nice pool although it was a bit cold. Huge carpark. Did not try the breakfast.

The room had Keurig, recycling, good air-conditioning, a refrigerator, a microwave, darkening blinds, and—really cool—electrical outlets on the bed frame. Soap products were in bottles on the wall—not my favorite but more and more common. The hotel’s hallways had a neutral palette, calming and nice. My only minor quibble is that the lobby did not offer newspapers or water cisterns. I hear the breakfast buffet was $20 and mediocre, There’s a rooftop bar and grill with good food. As a Hilton Honors gold member, I was offered 750 bonus points or a $10/day food credit. I compared $10 to the $30 I received recently in Berkeley and, given the Goleta hotel’s price point ($259 for Night #1 and $359 for Night #2), the Hilton points seemed like the better deal.

2023-09-13 20:32:19This is a new hotel. Only a few years old I think. It makes it very handy for families to come and stay at visiting their kids who go to the university. It was very needed. There had not been a hotel this close to campus. The hotel is modest. It has a nice pool and the rooftop area is pretty cool. Youre right there on Storke Rd and hollister so you have everything you could possibly need in terms or restaurants and shops. Even a Costco!

2022-12-18 12:35:18I stayed twice last week. Monday night I had a two queen bed room and Thursday night I had a king bed room. Both bed types were very comfortable. The pillow choices we both very good as well. The lobby was clean and offered a good selection of wine, various other beverages, and snacks. I didn’t have the opportunity to eat at the restaurant either stay so I can’t comment on it other than I would like to see it stay open later. As a rooftop restaurant and bar it’s pretty cool and under utilized in my opinion. The gym is well equipped. Overall, great stays and I would recommend.

2023-06-08 05:02:47Spent a week there; wonderful amenities (roof top bar & grill, live music, beautiful pool, firelit patio, great rooms, comfortable beds, very clean, wonderful staff from front lobby to cleaning persons. It was a wonderful place! Close to airport, shops! A newfound vacation place to stay!
