My new favorite spot for local Himalayan food! We picked up the Mango Chicken Curry, Navaratna Vegetable Korma, and Garlic Cheese Nan bread. Everything kept well and made for a perfect take out meal at home. Each curry comes with a choice of rice or Nan for a side, or you upgrade to other options. Cant wait to come back and try the rest of the menu!

Wow! What a wonderful new Indian restaurant in North County. Now we dont have to go south to get good Indian. The naan was very good, flaky and certainly made from scratch.The Nirvana chicken curry was extremely good. Full of flavor and just the right spice.They dont yet have their alcohol license, so the drink selection was minimal at this time but theyre working on that.We will be coming back quite often, enjoyed this place. Recommend you try it.

I tried all my favorites and a new ones. It’s more of a cafe than fancy restaurant. The food was delish. I order 5 main dishes, two appetizers, glob jom. Over $200 worth. Left overs for two days… yay!

First time dining! ABSOLUTELY Delicious food! Such a unique tasty new restaurant in Oceanside.Great flavors and spices, hearty meal!If your looking for authentic and flavorful meal definitely go to Himalayan Bistro:) Also, the service is super friendly which is hard to find these days. Food comes out pretty quickly too! Food is also hot and fresh:)Got the Naan Garlic Cheese Bread, Butter Chicken & Tandoori Wings! All Terrific!Must try restaurant with nice atmosphere:)

It was my first time having Himalayan food and the lunch special was delicious! There was a ton of food and I was able to try 4 different dishes, all flavorful and tasty! I took some chicken Chili home to my husband and he ate it all! Highly recommend!

FINALLY we found our favorite Indian spot!! We’ve tried so many places and they disappointed us but this place is absolutely amazing! The flavors are so rich and everything was perfectly seasoned. We got spice level 2 and I would say it’s about the same as a raw jalapeño spice. Can’t wait to come back

If you desire that authentic rich delicious authenticity when your dinning out this new restaurant won’t disappoint. The Indian and Nepalese cuisine here is excellent. The lamb sag was fresh and rich I’m looking forward to returning to try the butter chicken and the rest of their dishes.

The Chicken Curry and Garlic Cheese Naan was amazing! I love that you are able to choose your level of spice. I chose a level four (with 5 being the spiciest),which was perfect as I like spicy food. The service was great as well. I will definitely return to try other menu items!

The staff were helpful and kind and the food is INCREDIBLE! I ordered shrimp tikka masala with brown rice (white rice was also available) and garlic cilantro naan to go and everything was fresh and delicious. I will absolutely be back to try the rest of their menu!

We tried once and loved it so much that I had my birthday party there for a party of 12. They accommodated every need we had and were so kind and considerate!! The food is amazingly delicious!! I had chicken tandoori. The masala is out of this world yummy goodnesss! Everyone loved their food even those who were not familiar with the cultural delight. We had so much fun with Sogot and Drona and the rest of the crew. My husband wanted to learn a few of their dance moves and ended up being a small dance party of laughter and fun! Felt much like a family community party with everyone versus just being served dinner. They made my birthday extra special and I am so grateful 💗 highly recommend the food and getting to know the staff. Wonderful, warm atmosphere with the best food. Just doesnt get any better. 💗🤗

Stopped in with a client for lunch today. My client loves this restaurant and raves about the authenticity of the food. I am not super familiar with food from this area but I like trying new things. Wow, was it freaking good!I had the Lamb Jalfrezi and it was delicious. The flavor is out of this world. I could only eat half the generous portion. Service was excellent and food came out quickly. Nann, did I mention that? It is amazing with the Jalfrezi or on its own. They have several varieties, we had the plain and a garlic one and both were tasty and fresh. Ill be back!

I absolutely loved it here! Delicious, well presented, and all for an amazing price. The wait staff were incredibly patient and quick, and the food was impeccable. I recommend the cheesy garlic naan, we had the vindaloo and thoroughly enjoyed it! Vegetarian and Gluten free options are available as well (making this very accessible for my vegan/celiac family)

I had the chicken biryani. It’s the best biryani I’ve had since leaving DC. It’s well seasoned and packed with flavor. The yogurt sauce is also very good.The portion is large and is enough for two people or two meals.

We visit monthly since the opening, tonight we ordered delivery. I was nervous. My husband said have no fear … the lamb jalfrezi, samosas, and naan bread were all DELICIOUS. They travel well lol. If you have not tried yet, try delivery!I even called the restaurant to share the good word.

Friendly staff, fast service, place was packed still didnt miss a thing. I ordered foods ranging from 1 (mild) up to 5(max) I like super spicy food so 5 wasnt up there (for me and me alone) but great flavor for the general public. Every bite was packed with flavor and made you want a bigger bite every time.

I need to give this place a do-over. A friend warned me that their heat level tended to be higher than expected. I chose a 1 out of 5 heat level and not only was the food not spicy, it was bland. I think this is my fault, not theirs. I need to try it at a 2 out of 5 spice level.The food appeared to be high quality, and it was not overly oily like many Indian restaurants tend to be.

We ate here last night, all of the food was delicious and the service was great! We will definitely eat here again. Its the best Himalayan food Ive had in a while. We have two kids and they were very accommodating. Even our toddler ate all of his food.We liked all of our food, but the lamb tandoori was the best!

Best (cheese) naan I have had ever & definitely the best Himalayan food I’ve had in north county. This will definitely become a regular for us! So glad it opened! Also, the staff was very friendly and was immaculately clean.

The Chicken Tikka (boneless) was undercooked and therefore was “unsafe to consume”. Moreover, it is supposed to be dry but was soaked in gravy with pieces of broccoli and cabbage (very untraditional way of cooking dry Chicken Tikka). No condiments were provided either for an exorbitant price of $20.99. The worst experience. I do not recommend this restaurant.

This place is torch! 🔥Initially I didnt know what to expect walking in; seems like theyve recently opened. But Ill say this, the portions are very reasonable, the seasonings right, and I think you cant go wrong with their dishes.I was looking for a biryani spot because Ive been spoiled with a few Himalayan places around the area and I was looking for one close to my place. Gave it a shot and wow! Their chicken biryani was amazing! The medium had a nice heat, but if youre not a spice god, Id probably go a tad lower, and the garlic Naan was very garlicky which is nice to cut down on the heat alongside of some tzatziki.Atmosphere is typical as youd expect with any Himalayan place, but dont let looks fool you. Its probably my new favorite spot in the area. Quite impressed!Also, I had trouble finding this place on doordash, maybe the categories are messed up? But if youre in the area, give it a shot. Id definitely give this another try!

My Wife and I have dined at quite a few Indian restaurants around the city . Himalayan Bistro is by far our new favorite go to place. Besides the food, the customer service was outstanding. I had the chicken Bhuna which was outstanding and my wife had the Malai Kofta. We both can’t wait to try many other things. Thank you, this is just what we needed here in Oceanside

We had curry chicken and the mixed Tandoori. Both were excellent. The garlic cilantro naan was especially good. Service was a little slow but good. Chef was very accommodating; gave us a little more curry gravy than is normal. So glad there is a good Indian restaurant close by.

Finally! Been patiently waiting for a local Indian restaurant and this place did not disappoint. Medium spice level had some really good heat. We will definitely be ordering from here again. Heads up, they are currently on DoorDash, but not Uber Eats.

Omg! We were a party of three, drove all the way from San Diego just to experience the delicious food at this lovely restaurant and oh boy, they did NOT dissapoint! I had butter chicken, rice and naan- my food was scrumptious!!! Very friendly waiters, always smiling. Basmati rice, gulab jamun and daal soup were free - on the house! How awesome is this? Well definitely be back. Thank you for yummy food😋

Our typical Nepalese restaurant is in San Marcos and a 30 min drive. We are soooooooooo excited to have found Nepalese food in oside. We had the saag paneer and butter chicken. The restaurant workers gave us water while we waited for our take out and they were so friendly. Very generous portions and it was so tasty. We will definitely be back!

We are Oceanside locals and have been patiently waiting for a Himalayan restaurant to open in our town.Theyve only been open for 6 days but theyve left a great impression on us. The service was fantastic and the food was full of spices and flavors which are hard to find around here.We ordered a goat curry (not pictured), garlic Naan, butter Naan, Chicken Momo, and Lamb Sekuwa, a himilayan specialty.My wife asked for the goat curry to be spicy and she was not disappointed. She told me when shes craving goat curry this will be her new go-to place. The spices inside the curry was a perfect blend. Sometimes when ordering curries it tastes like it was just the curry powder. Not this place. You can tell some love was put into it.I ordered the lamb. I believe it had been marinating due to the skewer holes gone right through the middle along with the intense flavors for such an unassuming piece of meat. I loved it and so did my daughter. It was cooked perfectly; not overcooked or undercooked. The slightly caramelized bed of onions it was sitting on had such epic flavors which embodied the entire plate. I added a squirt of lemon which came with the plate and it definitely set it over the top in the best way possible.My wife and I shared a plate of chicken momo, a favorite of ours when going to Himalayan food. There was a home made sauce in the middle which went great with it. It was so delicious we put it on our Naan bread too! We asked for some of the sauce to go because of how delicious and unique it was.The two Naan breads were standard for Naan weve had in the past. Tasty and meant to compliment the main courses.We got to meet the head cheff and, I am assuming, owner. He was very friendly and we learned he has been cooking professionally for over two decades. You can definitely tell because each dish was plated beautifully and the flavors were epic.We are happy this place opened up in Oceanside and I hope it gets more customers as word grows. They deserve it.The prices are very pre-inflation.Once Oceaside approves their beer and wine license, we will definitely be regulars here. Nothing beats a Taj Mahal beer with Himilayan food

Excellent food. Every dish was perfectly made and Im very happy we decided to try it out. Their butter chicken was the best Ive had, even over homemade.One suggestion for staff: the booth seats are slightly too far away from the table, making it awkward to eat. If they were each 2-4 inches closer, it would make the issue much better.
