I used to frequent their Hillcrest location and must say this spot is fantastic. I’m a huge fan of their vegan ramen (I like to add egg) and they have tasty beverages. This location has water with fruit set out and makes it very easy to pack your order when you are ready to take the rest with you. To say that the server was on point is a massive understatement. She went above and beyond and had a handle on everything going on. She even read my mind and offered me a bag for my packed food. I will definitely be swinging through this location more regularly when I’m in the area.

This spot is a hidden gem. I ordered some appetizers and the tonkotsu ramen with Chile and garlic on the side. I was not disappointed with the taste. This is now my new favorite spot. 10/10 🫡

Personally if youre balling on a budget dont eat here. Otherwise it was good, the broth was extremely creamy and flavorful. You definitely have to add your own topping to make this a better experience imo cause the ramen alone was not as exciting.

This little golden nugget is buried deep in the rarely visited side of garvey. It competes against the very popular place next door. Very simple menu and sides which makes it a great place to do the quick work lunch thing. Pork ramen, salad, and a side and fresh fruit infused water and you have a great time

Probably a 4.5 but lets give it 5 to support this small and cozy restaurant off the semi beaten path that serves a great great bowl of mazemen (no broth), a solid cutlet Curry (good taste, decent crunch, just a tad thick) and decent ramen. So glad they opened in Monterey Park rather than the arts district or highland park, lol.Update: They no longer have the cutlet.

Liked it alot. Will return. Loved the simple menu. Wasnt overwhelmed with options and the food was tasty. Just a little on the salty side... but Im a huge fan of savory so if you are sensitive then ye be warned. Meat was tender and juicy.

Ordered the shoyu ramen. It is a well portioned bowl with nice cubed pork chops and two slices of pork. The noodles had a nice chewiness to them, they were of a thinner variety. The egg was well done with a soft yolk. Broth was good, perhaps a little more salt than I would have preferred. Otherwise, I would have finished the entire soup, still very enjoyable throughout. The best part might have been the cube pork chops. They had more fattiness to them that helped retain flavor. Vibe of the place is very nice and minimal. Barebones with some simple cloth layers in the ceiling over the lighting. Its a convenient location due to a small onsite parking area and street parking. Its not directly on Valley Blvd but thats not a bad thing with access to parking. Very much enjoyed and would come back.

A super neat spot in Monterey Park! The exterior is nice, but I definitely love the design choice for the interior the most! My favorite was the ceiling design!As we walked in the girl working at the register was helpful & friendly. She offered us samples from their drink menu which definitely helped us in deciding our drinks. I noticed the menu to be pretty small which I find to be a great change of pace from usual ramen restaurants that may have too many selections to choose from on their menus. The menu is essentially curated to a small selection of 3 ramens, 1 bowl & a few sides.As for the food, my buddies and I ordered different things & found each of them to be really good! We were definitely satisfied by the quality of each dish. The noodles from the mazemen & shoyu ramen from both orders were amazing & flavorful. The meats from both orders were super good too!The curry with the pork cutlet was amazing as well! I found the curry sauce to be really good as it also had beef inside the sauce as well which I enjoyed.As for the drinks, the yuzu pina colada and the cucumber mint yuzunade were amazing! I personally favor the yuzu pina colada more as it has that creamy texture to like a pina colada & it wasn’t overwhelmingly sweet.Overall, I will say this place has a great atmosphere, neat concept, great menu & kind service. A great intimate space to eat at with friends or family!

One of the more unique Ramen stores in LA right now. Tried the cold noodles and the shoyu ramen. Let me just say, this is not your standard ramen experience so come expecting different. Its a great place and Im glad its open! Overall, youll find yourself enjoying high quality noodles and an excellent meal. Come soon before it gets busy.Lets start with the cold noodles. The noodles themselves are cooked to perfection and the toppings are amazing. The pork was cooked to an excellent texture and perfectly seasoned. The star is the dipping sauce. Its cool, refreshing, lightly citrus-y and overall a special culinary experience. Highly recommend it if you are looking for something to cool down.The shoyu ramen is basically perfection. Again, the noodles cooked perfectly with the tight texture. The chashu extremely flavorful. The pork bites, the right size and texture. Well seasoned throughout leaving me wanting more of it. The egg was a well executed medium boil with a lightly runny yolk. The star, the ramen broth. This Shoyu broth is not for this who love a heavy and oily broth. This was a delicate broth with a rich flavor that coats the tongue without being overwhelming. It is light and bright but full of umami. One of the best Ive had.The drinks are great if you like yuzu or matcha. The matcha was very simple, not too sweet. It comes with some red bean but I got it without boba. The yuzu Pina colada is super yummy and creamy. It was delicious and almost like an orange julius. The cucumber mint yuzunade is light and delicious and just the right amount of tart. Really refreshing drink.Next time, Im coming back to try the mazemen and the curry!Seating is self-seating so come early. You pay then seat.

While running errands on a rainy afternoon in Los Angeles with my 80 year old mom who is currently recovering from chemo, we decided to stop and get ramen at a new place not far from her home. The restaurant is tucked off the main road - Garvey Ave - on a side street - Rural Dr. I think if they could put an eye catching A frame by the mechanic’s shop on the corner of Garvey and Rural, more people would be aware there’s a ramen place behind the main street. You order from the counter and pay first before you go select a table. It was our first time and the gentleman behind the counter Wilson was kind and patient and explained the limited menu with a tablet he used to show photos of the menu items which was very helpful for my mom. They do not currently accept cash, Apple Pay or Google Pay and I’m not sure if that will change. Mom got the shoyu ramen and I got the tonkotsu ramen. When your order is ready, they call your name and you need to go grab your tray(s) of food to bring to your table. I was ready to grab one tray at a time to bring to the table but Wilson insisted on helping which was very sweet of him. The shoyu ramen and the tonkotsu ramen did not disappoint. For $15 a bowl, the pieces of pork belly and sous vide pork loin were plentiful, the broth flavorful but not too salty (important to an 80 year old’s satisfaction), the noodles were cooked to al dente and the egg had a satisfying custardly jammy yolk. Both broths were accented with spinach, bean sprouts, green onions and bamboo shoots. The tonkotsu also comes with a piece of seaweed. The water and tea are complimentary on the counter in beverage dispensers. I splurged and got the non-alcoholic yuzu piña colada and it was cool and refreshing reminding me of summer on a rainy autumn day. They make their own complimentary Sriracha and I preferred it to the popular Huy Fong Sriracha. All in all, very reasonably priced, great service and quick. I hope the word gets out so it can become a staple in mom’s neighborhood.

First thing we were greeted with was amazing hospitality and customer service! The employees there made us feel extremely welcome to dine in. We really enjoyed our tonkotsu ramen with garlic and house chili sauce add-ons. Our friends got an assortment of other things like the edamame, salmon poke rice, and pork rice bowl but were a little put off by the amount of yuzu there was in each dish. Overall great food that really hit the spot and if youre a yuzu fan, this is the place to go!

So far this is the best Ive had in SGV. Pork is nicely cooked, noodles is nice and bouncy, and the overall dish is flavorful. The broth however isnt the best (I think I like slurpin ramens broth better)EDIT:Just tried the mazemen. Its solid. Id remove some of the toppings though like ginger, whatever that yellow stuff is, lime, and bean sprouts. Those are just filler toppings that dont really contribute to the mazemen flavor IMO. Its also a bit too salty but still very enjoyable. My only wish is they give you a vinegar bottle to add a bit more punch to the dish.

Semi self service restaurant. Place your order and pay upfront at the cashier first. Service fee of 11% are included in your bill. Then a number sign will be given to you to put on your table. You can get the sauces and utensils at the cashier counter, and the waitress brings the food to your table.Love their authentic ramen noodles that are rich in umami and flavors. Would love to try their other dishes next time.The cashier/manager was very nice and let us try a little bit of their new yuzu piña colada virgin and yuzu lemonade before we place our drink orders. We enjoyed our fresh and cold Yuzu cucumber lemonade a lot in the hot weather. It’s very tasty and refreshing.

Went here today because I have been to Pasadena a few times and liked it a lot. Guy at register rang me up, and told me there was an optional service charge. I saw my bill for me and my kid go past $50, so I said no, I will just tip instead. I was worried about spending too much. Then he says in a sarcastic, passive aggressive manner,, oh yeah, I just work here cuz I like it. Then when the tip menu came, i was gonna tip, and he just quickly pressed no for me and said no, dont worry, u dont have to do that. Then we sat down and he pointed to all the bowls and napkins and cups they had on the side that all the service charge goes for that. Like guilt tripping me. Dude wasnt it optional? And I was planning to tip instead anyways. I was so uncomfortable after that, I just wanted to leave but I already paid by card. I will never come back to Hironori again. It was so weird. I still left a cash tip when I left. Usually when u go to a ramen restaurant the staff is usually so friendly and welcoming. Was very unpleasant experience.

Exceptional food and service today at HiroNori all thanks to Nayeli! She is truly holding it down—takes your orders, brings out the food, and ensures you are well taken care of. My sister is a huge fan of the ramen here and this new location did not disappoint! The flavors were consistent and the noodles were perfect! The tonkatsu ramen is the best. We haven’t tried the shoyu, but it’s another fan favorite. We always get the spicy tuna bowl, which complements our meal well. Overall 10/10 for the food here. 11/10 if you get Nayeli as your host and server!

Shoyu was pretty good, also ordered the karaage chicken. My bill with tax/tip was 30$. Pretty steep for lunch but these days its almost the norm. Order then sit kinda place. Recommend to come at opening or 45 to 1 hr after opening to beat the rush or the 1st wave of lunch rush.

All the dishes are amazing. My go to has to be either the Shoyu or the cold dipping noodles. The ingredients are fresh and soup always hits the spot. My sister told me about this new ramen place that opened up in Monterey Park so decided to give it a try on a Tuesday night. When we arrived it was still early so not many people were there. You order at the counter and they call your number to pick up. We ordered the Mazemen, Spicy Cold Dipping Noodles and a cucumber mint yuzunade. The hostess was very nice and gave me a free tasting between the yuzunade and the Yuzu pina colada. The cucumber mint yuzunade was definitely way better and very refreshing during the heat wave. We also decided to not try the ramen since it was hot outside. They also had self-serve ice lemon water and ice oolong tea. Since there wasnt a lot of people yet, she was nice enough to bring the food to our table.Both noodles were pretty good. I had the spicy cold dipping noodle. The dipping sauce had more a Szechuan flavor so it was a mix of Chinese/Japanese flavor in my opinion. Pretty tasty and it was served with ice which was great during a hot day. The ramen soft boil egg was very flavorful, sweet just the way I like it. The bamboo shoots were good too. The pork was more on the fatty side (not to my liking) but overall a good meal. My sister got the mazemen which I also tried. We were told the flavor is all at the bottom to make sure to mix it first. It was pretty tasty as well. Came with a poached egg chashu bites and slices and pineapple which is a nice touch. Prices were decent for the portions. We were stuffed at the end of the meal. Overall I enjoyed this meal. Will be back to try the ramen when its not hot anymore. LOLEverything was self serve. There is parking on the street and a small lot.

I have to change my review of this place after going back since when it first opened. When it initially opened, this was Jikasei ramen by Hiro Nori and was awesome. Now, its just Hiro Nori craft ramen, like the others. The difference is that the noodles tasted a lot better, had more meat and seemed more hand crafted before. Now, its just a run of the mill ramen shop. Nothing special

Always fun to try out new ramen places around your neighborhood. Its a small restaurant, but I did enjoy the food. Tried out the mazume ramen and was pleasantly surprised. Only tried this kind of ramen once before, and thought it was ok. This one gave you the tingling sensation of spice, but without too much heat. The chasu was savory and soft, and I did like the chopped up pieces of pineapple. Overall, Ill definitely come back to try out the rest of the menu.I also liked that its self serve, so you just order, pay, and sit down. Bonus for your option of oolong tea or water refills.

The soy sauce ramen is very fragrant, traditional soup, simple and delicious.The barbecued pork and roasted pork are also delicious, the meat is fresh and the side dishes are also fresh.The spicy tsukemen has the flavor of sesame oil, and the dipping sauce is cold noodles with ice cubes dipped in water. The first time I ate it, it tasted very special.The noodles are very chewy and should be made by Kobayashi Noodles here.We don’t have Hakuta ramen at the moment, so I’m looking forward to seeing if the store will introduce new ones in the future.The owner is gentle, polite, and has a nice tattoo👍It was the first time I went there and he took the initiative to introduce the dishes.
