Nice staff, clean dining area, neat food presentations, and just fresh and good flavors. The Unagi Roll was so simple and yet so flavorful. The Tuna Poke was mildly flavored and simply delicious. I recommend.

I have found this to be the best place around since moving from San Jose...took me a while to find it but I love it.Now..I did want to make an comment in which personally after my visit last week (havent gotten any food here for maybe 4months) I felt the special rolls seemed to be a bit bigger, filled with a bit more rice.I could be wrong ..and will definitely be back but I hope this really doesnt become the new norm because their food is really delicious....but super big rolls is just not my thing.Will definitely give it the 5th star if my next visits go back to how it was :)

First off, this place is worth every star. Service, excellent. Quality, excellent. Quantity, excellent. Value, excellent!!! Variety, excellent. We came on a Sunday for lunch, got the last table for the first wave. We will definitely be back, with friends and family. I usually dont give 5 stars the first time, but there is no reason not to. Our server Austin was great. We had our first order of sushi in less than 3 minutes!!!

The sashimi fish and “crab salad” was inedible, definitely not fresh. My husband is not picky and LOVES sushi and he couldn’t even eat it. The fried green beans were good as was the crispy rice roll.

Dropped by here after reading reviews but left disappointed. The best thing I could compare it to is gas station sushi with extra sauce/garnish. The rice did not taste fresh either. Unfortunately we’ll not be back but I do hope we visited on a off night.

We go here a lot. The service is very good and the staff are attentive and welcoming. Beef teriyaki is one of my family members go to meals. They have a lot of sushi rolls and cooked meals to pick from. Great place to go if you love sushi but also need other items for people who don’t that are dining with you.

Went for all you can get sushi for lunch and it was all so good!! Wasnt a huge fan of the chicken skewers but tried almost all the rolls and everything was fresh and delicious! Great serive will be returning

Great sushi place in and around Folsom. We love their buffet. There California rolls and 49ers are mouth watering. We also like Meso soup too. A must visit if you are a Sushi fan.

Gotta be honest... I was disappointed. If you are going to charge Mikuni prices then you need to deliver a Mikuni experience... and they didnt.While our sushi roll was fine, it wasnt exceptional. The service was VERY slow and the physical plant is just a plain old room. Nothing special at all. For $19 per roll, I expected more.

The food here is very, very, good! When I walked in the staff was very nice and greeted me well. The place seemed very clean, and it was fun to see all the beautiful decorations. The waiter was kind as well and gave us time with ordering, not rushing us at all. I ordered chicken teriyaki, with fried potatoes, and a salad. It was so delicious! Usually teriyaki can be either too overpoweringly sweet, or on the more bland side for me. This sauce they used was a perfect balance. I was very pleased with my food.

I hate all you can eat sushi 🍣, or I did, this place does it the way it should be. Premium sushi for reasonable prices. We will be back for sure, 2 people under $70, normally the wife and I are somewhere around $140 when we do sushi.

I guess it’s not always the case when the saying goes u get what u pay because this place was not cheap I took my little brother out for lunch, thinking that this place will be amazing just like it was 2 years ago? Man was I wrong 😑 it was disappointing the fish was not fresh and smelled fishy I felt sick after words and had a rumbling stomach for the rest of the day!!! This place is definitely not going to be recommended by me to anyone that I know again this was really disappointing🤦🏼‍♂️😔!!! I was hoping that they take more pride in their food that they make!!

The all you can eat has a great array of different sushis and the service is absolutely amazing. Our server was always checking in with our table ready to take our next order. Only downside is that the price of the all you can eat has increased by 9 dollars in the past year from 21 to 30 dollars a person.

This place is fantastic! I’m from San Diego and love sushi and this place is some of the best sushi I’ve ever had. The quality, freshness and flavor of each item we ordered was amazing. We ordered the crispy rice, the Johnny Cash and the Wildfire. And we got in immediately on a Friday night at 7! We will be coming back.

Went here for all you can eat sushi. Service was SO fast. You can order 5 items at a time and by the time we were done eating our 5th, our waiter came and asked what we wanted next. The fresh nigiri was so good. As a salmon lover, I would like to see more salmon (raw) rolls but there is a wide variety of rolls to choose from. Miso soup is not on the menu but you can request it if you want it. Overall, I left with a full belly and it was a great experience.

We used to really like this place for their AYCE sushi, but it has really gone downhill lately. Price is almost double from what it used to be (it’s now $30) and the nigiri now has the tiniest pieces of fish I’ve ever seen! Large piece of rice, but tiny sliver of fish …. not the way it should be served at all. Sadly we won’t be back because they are now skimping way too much on the fish yet charging substantially more.

Food is consistent here. I like several other competitor sushi restaurants but Hisui is the best for consistency and value especially for the AYCE. All you can eat menu is well rounded. I have not tried the dinner menu but the rolls look fantastic. They have friendly staff as well.

I’ve been to so many sushi buffet in California and this is by far the worst. First the service was absolutely trash my girl friend and I got there 45 minutes before they closed and were told we had 10 minutes by the OWNER to Order and eat and that we couldn’t get the all you can eat only up to 2 rounds smh even though we are paying full price then the server rushed us out by forcing us to order all our rolls and one time giving us literally 30 seconds to look over there Wack menu never going back here again would not recommend and the rolls were terrible

The waiter was very pleasant, didnt come by the table too often but just enough. My friend and I had the miso soup and shared an order of gyoza (potstickers). I ordered the spicy tuna and cucumber rolls. My friend was a little more adventurous and ordered the Hisui house special roll... We both split an order of green tea ice cream. Everything exceeded expectations. I will have to come back.

I just love this place. I wear stretchy pants and dont eat breakfast to do the all you can eat lunch. I am a huge fan of the salmon and smoke salmon nigiri here - like butter, good quality. They have gluten free soy sauce/tamari and accommodate my allergies. My coworkers enjoy the more artistically composed rolls that I am allergic to. The all you can eat menu is well-rounded for sushi compared to other places. They also have vegan/veggie sushi options on the full menu.You can order 5 items at a time so I am strategic about getting that order in so that it comes out promptly when Im done with the previous 5 (serious sushiage!). I can put down what would be $100 of sushi off the menu so the all you can eat is totally worth it. Price has gone up over the years from about $16 now to $18 and change. Some of our more delicate flowers wont eat enough to justify all you can eat. Assess the value if you possess self-control or a tiny tummy.Service has improved. Its never been bad but weve been in where it felt a little slow. Last time I was in on a Friday for lunch and got in before the Intel table of 15 (yikes!). Service was fast and we were never lacking food or drink refills.

I keep forgetting to make this review but this place is awesome!Staff are really professional, nice and quick on their feet. Every waiter weve ever had for the last couple years has been wonderful.We always go during their all you can eat a little disappointed they took the eel off that all you can eat but everything is Awesome!!My personal favorites are the Firecrackers and Red hawk roll. My husbands favorites are the Jack number 2 roll, the squid salad and Gyoza.

This place is more for terriyaki and rolls. Do not order any Nigiri or Sashimi. The quality of Nigiri and Sahsimi are so bad, they are sliced super thin and the taste is not fresh at all.The rolls are okay because there is a bunch of sauce/toppings so it masks the flavor the fish.I would only go back if there is nothing else to eat in the area.

Got one of the sushi takeout platters and it was definitely very well presented and had great quality. Easily served five people and had a decent amount of the wasabi and Ginger. Super easy to get to right off the freeway and very simple to just walk in grab your item and walk out.

Can I just say... if every one of this places reviews say they have great staff, that really says something. They really seem like a family and the customers can definitely sense it. Just that alone brightens up the experience. Most sushi places Ive been to serve better-than-average food, but next to no customer service. We didnt order much, just two basic rolls, but from what I can tell its exceptional food... AND... exceptional service. They even make sure to wave goodbye all at once to every customer as they walk out the door!

Moving from the Bay Area to El Dorado Hills, I was looking for some good Sushi to fulfill my cravings (sushi addict). I tried this spot out in March and have been back several times since.I LOVE THIS PLACE.Their sushi is fresh and always high quality. Ive yet to have a bad experience here. Way overpriced for what they are giving you...pretty much rice with fish garnish😞 We did lunch all you can eat. Favorite sushi spot in Folsom. Tried most of them, and Hisui has been my favorite of the bunch. Everything is always prepared/cooked very well, fresh and clean fish, good variety of rolls. As well as plenty of more tradition options that dont feel americanized (they have plenty of rolls like that too though).Go for a dinner bento, and a special roll. Itll be nice and filling, tasty, and offers a decent variety of individual food items to try. Also dont pass on the sushi tapas, theyre pretty unique to this sushi place within the options of Folsom restaurants. Tuna with the crispy rice is one of the better choices there.Also the wait staff has always been awesome, and the chefs definitely know what theyre doing. I can tell just by how they make the nigiri that they have a good many years of training. Could easily pass for a much higher end sushi place if they wanted.Definitely glad theyre here in Folsom, otherwise youd have to settle for less or travel closer to Sac.

Really impressed with this place. Food was definitely fresh and well prepared. It was flavorful and worth the price increase over the other local non-fresh alternatives. The waiter Brian was very well mannered and attentive; refilling sodas, clearing the table, checking in often but not too much, and set the plates and drinks around the table without reaching. We LOVE Hisui! The only thing better than their food is their staff. The sushi is always fresh, their noodle soups have me looking forward to cooler weather, and my kids love the bento boxes. This is the kind of restaurant where they will greet you with a smile and remember your name. The fish tastes fresh.This place actually uses Sushi rice unlike most of the all you can eat places. The service staff is excellent, professional, and very attentive. I was Leary just because I love Makunis but Hisui Sushi did not disappoint at all. As you walk in you know this place great. Very clean, the two waiters that helped us were fabulous. Only 1 table open the place was packed. The bathrooms are so clean I would have say on the floor and are dinner. That is how clean and fresh the bathroom was. Enjoyed the experience and the food. I am a nigiri sushi eater. I had tried this restaurant few times when they offered all you can eat, pre pandemic. The slices of fish meats were so thin you could see through them. And big rice balls! You typically expect that from all you can eat establishments. But these were the worst I had ever seen Because of the pandemic, I recently ordered the nigiri sushi to go and they were not all you can eat. I assumed they would be comparable to other sushi restaurant nigiri sushi at full price. My mistake. They were still paper thin slice of fish meat, the same as all you can eat. I dont understand why this place get voted best Japanese restaurant in Folsom/El DoradoHills area by a local magazine. I am not going back there.

I ate the all you can eat sushi. The choices were not that great and the rice was dry. And they have all these rules about eating the sushi. Cant leave a crumb behind so I was stuck eating gross sushi to be able to try something else. And it was pricey for what it was. In southern California I pay 10 bucks less for all you can eat and no rules and better quality.

You will also want to queue up your orders if it gets busy so that you will get your next set of sushi when you get done with your current set. Food: Grossly overpriced for the excessive amount of money that it costs. The ingredients were sub-par: the fish barely sushi grade, the real crab that they have listed on the menu isnt real crab, and the seaweed used was stale and unappealing. One can find better sushi in Safeway, and thats saying a lot when one considers the watered down sushi that is present in grocery supermarket venues. The portions served are fitting for those with either incredibly petite stomachs, or if one desires merely a snack for $25. Every item on the menu is at least 20% to 35% overpriced for both the quality of ingredients and portion served.The atmosphere and wait staff were nice at least.

I come here on occasion with a buddy of mine that lives in eldorado hills, and it’s a really nice restaurant, great indoors, very clean, friendly people and good food!Lunch is a good time to come, haven’t had dinner yet, but one day.Like I said earlier, the food is good, thou it would be better if there were more rolls that had unagi in them, there only being 2 maybe 3 that has it in the lunch menu. And as all the rolls are different, you will also notice that they are all close to being the same, with there being some exception to a couple. Never the less, a great place to have lunch and get some sushi! But consider a little change up to make the rolls more interesting! 😉

Honestly my standard of sushi comes from here because Ive never had fresher unless it was caught and made infront of me. I HATE and I legitimately hate mornings but Ill suffer throught to get some rolls from here because it really is as good as Im making it out to be.I love the all you can eat option and the menue for that special is actually VERY long and wide variety of rolls and extras. To be fair, we did not have sushi here, and it was also togo. But I wasnt super impressed with the flavor profiles of noodle dishes of this place. We had a noodle starter, an Udon soup dish and a Raman Soup dish. As a person who loves to cook and makes her own stock for soups, I wasnt super impressed. It wasnt terrible, but it wasnt great either (especially for the price point). I wouldnt be afraid to eat here (everything seemed clean and above board), but I probably wouldnt go back, either. Perhaps the sushi is good, but they are comparable in price to Mikunis, and I dont see them being better than that.

Although many may disagree, my experience at the restaurant was very mediocre. As a person of Japanese descent, I have eaten at several other Japanese restaurants in the area that were much better. Dinner was pretty pricey and wasnt very authentic. My miso soup was luke-warm and my salad was drenched in water thus diluting the dressing and its flavor. My main course, beef teriyaki, was ok, but again the sauce seemed very watered down. Overall it was pretty disappointing, and for those who know authentic Japanese food like I do, know that this restaurant may not meet your standards. If you do still plan to eat here, I recommend coming at lunch time, as it is much more affordable.

Excellent sushi. I do not recommend ordering from the menu, as it is quite expensive. The ayce lunch however, is fantastic. Fresh sushi that is delicious and a huge variety. There is nigiri and sushi rolls, along with a few side items. The staff is friendly and attentive, who come at the right time when you are ready for more. Definitely worth a visit.

Sort of hit or miss; been there 4-5 times and have never had a particularly bad experience, which I supose is something, but then there are not a lot of close options on this side of town. The servings of nigiri are a bit stingy on the fish, and pricey considering - though the rice is solid. All in all, better than one would expect for a place that asks if youd like sugar in your tea (seriously, guys, I know Folsom isnt Kyoto, but this isnt Omaha either).

Came here on a Saturday with a pretty full restaurant and the server was still able to continually check up on us and had so much patience when we couldnt decide what to order.No sashimi for AYCE and the fish on the nigiri is sliced THIN....guess they have to make their money somehow, right? The note on the menu stating that theyd charge for leftovers scared me, but we had at least one roll/rice nugget left over per plate and we werent charged.Not authentic, but a good deal for AYCE rolls. Loved the presentation with orchids, taste of seaweed salad, pop of jalapeno, lemon and 3 ea beautiful slices of salmon, ahi and yellowtail. My husband had a Johnny Cash roll and spyder roll.
