Location: Easy to find as it is part of a big business complex. Parking can be an issue as there are many businesses.Produce: Although the choices are limited to mostly vegetables used in Vietnamese cooking, they are mostly fresh. If you are looking for the best ong choi or kangkong or water spinach, this is your store.The store offers mostly Vietnanese products but there are Thai and Filipino products too found in the noodles aisle, the spice aisle, the canned fruits and drinks aisles.I like buying the Vietnamese dessert snacks near the cashiers.
The only reason this does not get a 5 is because it is a smaller Market. But it is an excellent Market with excellent choices. If you live in the valley and on the West End especially it is your best choice for Vietnamese, Thai Spices noodles canned goods Etc. They have a large refrigerated section and good choices on all sorts of tofu fresh noodles Etc. Part of the market is also devoted toward Hispanic Goods, fresh fish and fresh meats. This is a gem hidden in the valley. Its so nice not to have to drive to Hollywood or downtown!!
Love this little market. Great place to pick up veggie meat substitutes, vegetables, noodles and a variety of chili paste and sauces. May is super helpful and answers any questions customers may have about Asian cooking. Great selection of fried tofu and veggie meat substitutes!!!
The owner is friendly and helpful. We come here for dry ingredients, noodles, produce and sauces for our Asian cooking. We cook Thai and Vietnamese style at home. If this is what youre looking for, I recommend them.
A new favorite for sure! They have ALL you need for just about every Asian dish you can imagine and the staff are more than happy to help when you are struggling to locate an ingredient! The produce is FRESH which is not always the case with small markets. The front door is where the clear flaps are at the top of the wheelchair ramp for anyone having trouble locating it.
Come here when I want to make any kind of Asian food... They have tons of different sauces and many kinds of different noodles that you will never find in a typical grocery store. I highly recommend this place if youre looking for any special Asian foods or condiments as well. It is located in the same parking where you will find Dominos pizza.
This is a very small Vietnamese market kind of a convenience store where we can find spices, canned food, cookies, special candy, cold drinks, chips, meats. Their produce is a very small section. They carry commun vegetables and fruits but mostly vietnamese products like different kinds of noodles or other pasta products already made like dumplings etc.. The store is clean and is so small that it can be check out in 5 minutes. I liked it!
I love having a Vietnamese market in the neighborhood! Not only do they have staple merch of a Vietnamese market, its also a bit like a corner store selling everyday things. And you can play lotto! Friday evenings are a good time to visit since thats when they get their treats delivered. Buns, sweets, things wrapped in leaves, etc.
Love this place, has a lot of different things, fresh noodles and veggies, all the spices you need to make vietnamese dishes. The owner is wonderful, she always gives me recipes.
Horrible. I went there and was looking for Vegan food. I got 6 items. When i saw the receipt I see 7 items listed. The 7th item was named “grocery”. It was $6! I spent $14 and got extra $6 for “grocery”. What was it? Tax? Is there tax for food in california? And this is more than 10.5% of tax. So, watch out for this marked. They are charging money extra, in other words, stealing.
Only come in when I have to. Staff is usually very rude to me and anyone I know personally that has gone there. They go out of their way to avoid speaking in Vietnamese to anyone outside of their staff even. I understand if you about speaking to me because I dont look Viet, thats understandable. But when you refuse and pretend you only know English even though I just heard you speaking Viet to the person in front of me, thats just rude. Ive also had family that speak very little English go there and they got the same rudeness.

This is my go to Asian grocery store. They have imitation shrimp and lots of tofu options for vegan dishes. They sometimes have exotic fruits too.

2023-11-21 01:41:11Visited for the first time today. It is a small market, but it has many of the items you would expect from an Asian grocery. I picked up something I have been looking for, and found someone I didnt know I wanted—but thats one of the cool things about these specialty stores, isnt it? So many things that arent what youd find at Ralphs or Vons! I expect Ill be a regular customer from now on. The prices are really great, and the woman who checked out my order (who is the owner, I gather) was very personable and friendly. Glad to have a store like this so close to home!

At other markets I feel like a number. Not asking for personal services or anything. But this place at least you feel the energy of a human being. Lol. Every time I come whether I make conversation with the staff or not, it just feels good walking in. 💕

I cant wait to go back, she said she would keep sharing. Im a chef so this is what I dream about when it comes to local markets. All the fish was fresh and smelled amazing.
