I come here often because I have a condo just above this place. So I have to make sure I eat here every time I come for a visit because I smell the food all day. The food is alway amazing and the portion sizes are extremely generous, it’s always more than one meal. The outdoor space is a great place to eat and they always have good music playing. Whether it’s dine in or take out this place is always a home run.

We come here often when visiting Pismo Beach and usually get the Cuban sandwich. Its okay, but its straying away from being an actual Cuban sandwich with too much spice in the pulled pork and very messy to eat. Its supposed to be a simple handheld sandwich and less of a full meal.Other things we have tried on the menu are very good. The loaded Bloody Mary is great, and so is the Clam Chowder with seafood topping.Service is always great, and the atmosphere is really cool with great music in the background. Seems like the prices were high, but so is everything.

I mean it was in a good location. Parking on the street. Other than that, I wasn’t impressed with the tasteless meat on “a popular Hoagie” was expecting a savory taste because they’re making the meat outside in a huge bbq pit or whatever that was. The meat wasn’t moist either. Did I order the wrong thing. Beef jerky on a bag had more flavor. Also, the service was okay. Glad I tried it, not my favorite place.

Have youve ever thought of combining your most ingredients for an epic sandwich? Well, all your best inventions between two buns (or a wrap) comes alive here! As if these guys read our inner sandwich desires and made it true. Great tabling area to feel the sea breeze and the beach is a few minutes walk away. The service was just as kind, chill and kickback. Food was as delicious as I imagined while reading the description. I had the Pismo Wrap. Tri-tip, avocados, curly fries, jack cheese and bbq sauce! It was so bomb. Will definitely come back for some more.

Been coming here for 13 years and it’s still one of the best restaurants in Pismo. Food is top notch and the laid-back beach vibes are unbeatable. The Pismo Wrap is their best item imo, but you can’t go wrong with a burger as well. This place is a must-try if you’re in Pismo.

I was just driving through and picked this place to have dinner.Great service from what looked like the manager. Also, the blonde woman that took our order was very savvy and kind.I could tell the food was made fresh by order. You can also watch your food being made, and it was a very clean kitchen.I ordered the fish and chips with clam chowder (I ate one before the photo). The fish and curly fries were crispy and tender. Clam Chowder was delicious. I was cold and ordered a hot chocolate as well, did not disappoint.Next time I pass through, I will be coming here!

The food is delish. At first, we were intimidated by the line out the door, but it ended up moving quickly. I ordered the Cuban sandwich, and my husband got pulled pork. I was actually pretty shocked at how much juivy flavor was packed into the sandwich. Phenomenal. Take out fries were soft / not crisy at all, so if I went back, I might ask them to make me some extra well done. Their homemade ranch dipping sauce was also really good as well.

Very busy restaurant for lunch. In my case, we took more than 10 minutes waiting in line to order the food and took another 30 minutes to get the food. Each dish comes with curly fries. I don’t really like them since they were really soft, not crispy at all. So I would upgrade them to salad or other sides by paying extra if I came to this place again. Fish and chips is also so so. I believe they are having hard time to control the food quality due to the high volume of the customers.

Yes!!! I was looking for a place to eat just like this one while visiting Cal Poly with my son for football recruiting. This place reminds me of my football college town when I was younger. I love the grilled onion smell and the uneven tables. Food was great and the money was spot on especially with high inflation. Staff was friendly. I really love this place because there little to no masks in sight. If Im paying I should be able to wear what I want to wear. Great experience. Id recommend this location!!! 👍🏾❤️

Great spot on Cypress near the pier. Table seating is indoors and outdoors on a first come basis.Food portions were huge and priced well. Quality was above expectations, especially for the curly fries which were amazingly seasoned with just salt and pepper. Would go again, would recommend. Staff is friendly and efficient.

Here is my review of Hoagies. Pismo Wrap was alright. Here is the breakdown of what was inside wrap. 65% fries, 15%BBQ Sauce,10%Tri-Tip, 5% Cheese and 5% avocado(this is according to what I saw and tasted). They serve the wrap cut in half but do not be fooled! All the premium ingredients seem to be in the middle.First bite, you get a little of everything, you can taste the Tri-trip, the avocado the pepper jack cheese, that sweet BBQ sauce and of course the fries. Second bite but you get a small ammount of TriTip, some cheese, sweet BBQ sauce, FRIES and no more avocado. By the third bite I no longer tasted the Tri-Tip. Avocado is no longer an ingredient, you can just taste the BBQ sauce and you get overwhelmed with fries, keep in mind that it comes with a side of fries. 4th bite, you just taste fries and BBQ sauce and maybe some juice from the tri tip. 5th and 6th bites are just Fries.... Give this wrap a 7/10.Wife ordered a Cali Cheesestake. She describes it as such. It is dry with a s#!t tone of onions. I just did not care for it. Not something I feel that I need to go back and buy another one. Rating 6/10.My 9 year old ordered a kids meal cheeseburger. She rates it 7/10.

Great sandwich place at Pismo Beach, it gets super crowded so plan accordingly. We ordered a veg sandwich and a chicken one - Both delicious and comes with a LOT of fries. We also ordered their house made lemonade and mocha which was good too. I’d definitely come here again to try other sandwiches.

Got the big Italian and asked to sub the salami for tri tip. They don’t disclose prices and the person on the phone didn’t tell me it was extra. Total ended up being $30 for just 1 sandwich.It was good but not worth the $30 and would be nice to get a heads up.Maybe next time I’ll try something different like their signature wrap. Other than that unique place and ps they require you to pay over the phone for pickup w no online order option for now.

Best breakfast burrito ever. Hoagies is the first establishment I’ve been to that offers tater tots in burritos - it’s a game changer. My go-to is the California breakfast burrito. Additional features of the breakfast burrito that I must compliment: the crispy, savory bacon and the homemade salsa. Came to visit Pismo on one of our vacation stops. This hole in the wall was a great little spot! The service was fast and friendly. The atmosphere is low key, and the food delicious! Recommending the clam chowder bread bowl, pulled pork sandwich, breaded shrimp and chips, and kids chicken tenders! It was fun to see and watch the meat being cooked and prepped fresh. We will definitely be back here on our next stop through Pismo Beach!

Been coming here for a good while everytime Im in town and it has never let me down. By far one of my favorite places to come and eat. The food is always delicious and the staff has some of the best customer service I have experience. I’m here for 3 days and ate here twice it was sooo good. Both times we waited in line and both times it was worth the wait. I had the Tri Tip tacos, with a side of their awesome chili. I added onions, cheese & bacon to the chili on my 2nd trip. Sooo good. The side of salsa that comes with the tacos is fresh and a little spicy, which I like.The cashier helping us with our order was super friendly and the food runners who brought out our food were very accommodating as well.The atmosphere is really casual.The restaurant is wheelchair accommodating, both inside and out on the patio.Super fun place and I will definitely be back

Overall, this place is amazing & a MUST-GO when in Pismo!Breakfast Burrito: a lot of reviews say that they have THE BEST breakfast burritos. That is a bold statement, but coming from someone who used to always get breakfast burritos, this is the best one I have every purchased. I think it has to do with being able to have your eggs however you want, so I got over-medium. Also, they use tater tots instead of chopped potatoes which is amazing.It also comes with potatoe chips & salsa, all of which are good.Southwest Wrap: more of a burrito tbh, but very good! Comes with curly fries.There are plenty of places to eat outside, also you can see them grilling meat outside which shows that they care about quality.

5 stars all around, we are visiting from the Midwest & when biking near the beach multiple days in a row we noticed lines out the door every time we passed by, peaking our interest to try it out. I absolutely love Hoagies! They have something for everyone on their menu. From clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl (in which you can add multiple toppings like bacon, cheese, a crab and shrimp mixture and more!), wraps, tacos, sandwiches... The list goes on. Kids meals come with curly fries and a drink in a cute reusable cup. The island smoothie was on point if you like mango and coconut. I love that they also serve Peets coffee! The black and white mocha is a personal fave of mine. They have a non-alcoholic Strawberry Refresher drink that is delicious! Their hot Turkey sandwich was tasty too! The people who work there are friendly and provide excellent service.

We chose this place per review. The food was good, and we were happy we chose a slow day to visit. We parked our big truck in the dirt lot across the street without any problems. On weekends I think parking could be a problem. I had the Pismo wrap that came with curly fries, and my wife had the Big Italian with curly fries. We both enjoyed the fries and sandwiches. Both were put together nice and neat. Folks, this place is a tourist destination, so the prices are a little inflated but otherwise good. The only other con was that the meat on the wrap was a little on the dry side.

Recommended from a friend we decided to try this. Friendly staff, variety menu, and lots of drink choices. And the FOOD delivers! So much deliciousness! There is bar and table seating as well as outdoor seating. Be ready to wait because there was a line every time we passed by and decided to go as soon as they opened one morning. Atmosphere is pleasant with cool decor inside or you can watch the old guy outside working his magic on the Traeger. Such a great experience..cant wait to come back!

What an incredible find! We were walking around downtown Pismo looking for dinner on a Monday night and several places were closed. This was a delicious spot! The sitting area outside was so chill, the food so filling, and the people so friendly. Highly recommend this place. I got the Pismo/Cali Hoagie and it was delicious!! The curly fries are also bomb

Its hard to explain just how amazing this place is. The meat is smoked on site, the portions are huge, and the price is right. They even juice fresh tomatoes for their bloody Marys! The staff was super friendly and helped us out when our group of 11 came in for breakfast. I had the 3 Little Pigs Burrito (bacon, ham, and sausage) which was awesome, but honestly everything else looked delicious too. You know when your entire group is already planning to come back the next morning that youve found something special.

Food is good. Use to be one of my favorite spots in Pismo. Good prices and nice daily specials. But, here recently the Prices keep going up. There daily specials are gone. Service is been pretty slow too. Waited in line for approximately 20 mins to be told that it was a 45 min wait for food. Better choices nearby with same quality food and bigger portions. Well, well, well now 1st off my apologies to the person that warned against the Cuban sandwich 🥪 which BTW was extremely dry and overcooked or possibly even days old product. Now I am a professional cook myself so trust that I know what Im speaking to, or you can do as I did and not pay Attention to the warning. I even paid upfront with tip included. But me Ill give places that Ive never been to the benefit of doubt and assume that the person judging might not have a good pallet. So trust me on this stay away from the cuban until they address this and publicly announce that changes to this item have been made.I was going to go there for breakfast and try the breakfast burritos 🌯 that many people say are good but I dont make a habit of throwing money away.

My husband and I were dying to try the food at this place so we went for lunch. I ordered the Pastrami sandwich and my husband ordered the Fish and Chips. I was told that their place had the best Pastrami I will ever eat, ummmmm, I do not believe he eats it because it was extremely salty and greasy and the curly fries were mostly pieces and not whole curly fries, my husbands Fish and Chips were overcooked or old grease, and I say this because other pics I have seen the fish was very light colored, very dissatisfied, we have had better elsewhere. I was quite upset because its not cheap nowadays to eat out so we try to pick the places we are able to eat at very carefully, as we cant eat out often and this meal cost us $40 😡...the servers were very courteous and attentive and the ambience was quaint but we will not be returning, very sad!!!!

Decided to pull off the highway for a quick bite and saw Hoagies had good reviews, so we gave it a shot. The smoking pit sits right out front and the smells were incredible which made us even more hungry. There were so many good options to choose from but I settled on the Dirty Buffalo and my wife had the Cuban sandwich. Both tasted amazing, but the tri-tip in the Cuban was especially delicious. Stopped here on our way to San Francisco for the night and the food was amazing!! The wraps are big enough to feed 2 people!! The Staff was very friendly and talkative!! Would recommend if stopping through!!

Very tasty sandwiches and wraps. The portions are large and all sandwiches come with curly fries! Very good selection condiments. The outdoor patio is very fun as well. We had the Pismo Wrap and the Big Italian and were super happy with our food . Only reason I gave 4 stars is the bathroom was very dirty.

First time on recommendation. ordered cuban sandwich for $15. driest sandwich i’ve ever had. no pickles, no mustard. not enough cheese, pork was very dry. friends $20 ahi salad looked great. will try again but very underwhelmed for a $15 sandwhich. felt ripped off. fries were good. long wait as well. not sure what the big deal is here-seems like an overpriced sandwhich shop to me.

Ive been to hoagies three times. First time I got the fish and chips. They were amazing. Big pieces of fish good amount of fries. Good tartar sauce. Second time I got the shrimp po boy. The way they make it here is awful. Frozen shrimp very little sauce dry cabbage. Sounds great on the menu but was very disappointed since the sandwich cost 19 with some change. Third time was yesterday 12-27-2020. Ive read some reviews about there amazing chowder so I tried it. It was like watery soup. There was some potatoes in the chowder but I dont think there was any clams. Bread bowl was nice but I went for the chowder. Go to splash cafe. There chowder is amazing on its own. Im not sure if I will be back again.

We went to Hoagies around 11:00. I had the fish and chips and my husband had the dirty bird wrap. My fish and the batter were definately undercooked. I was only able to eat a couple bites. My husbands chicken that was in the wrap tasted straight out of a frozen bag and reheated. We just left without eating much except a couple bites. We were in shock as we have dined here every single time we visit pismo. It has always been sooo good. I don’t know what happened, but 40 bucks down the drain, and we left hungry.

Had the Seafood Trio - Fried Cod, Shrimp and Clams served with Fries. The clams were way overcooked and hard. The Cod was okay, but was cooked in oil where something else was burned, because it definitely had a burnt taste. The shrimp and fries were fine.I may have ordered something that they are not known for, but it should have been better than what I got. I originally tried ordering a chili bowl, but they were out and they ran out.Staff was nice, but overall, The wait and food wasnt what we hoped for.

Spent $70 on two wraps, a kids meal and 4 drinks. Food was amazing. Also gave an $8 tip. Asked for an extra ranch and he was dead set on charging me $0.50 😂 it left a very bad taste in my mouth and if I go again, I won’t leave a tip. I usually try to let stuff like this go because we really enjoyed the food and atmosphere but I woke up the next day thinking about that $0.50 ranch 🤷🏻‍♀️

Good value and tastey food. This greasy spoon features many sandwiches as well as tacos.I enjoyed the chowder topped with crab and shrimp.Prices are about $10-15 a sandwich, each of which are a generous size. Probably not the healthiest menu, but it was good.

This place will never get my money again! Worker pick up and threw my beer away, what makes this worse is when Manger brought me new beer it was maybe 3/4 full because worker said beer he threw away didnt have alot left. Standing there hearing that same worker talking about me to another worker I got passed and gave the beer back. Manager was just as rude about all this, acting like customer service wasnt a priority.. 1st time and last.

YES!! This place is hands down-THE BEST! Worth a stop. And a repeat stop. And another repeat stop. AND ANOTHER!We are suckers for a burger here or the Tri-tip in any form. I’ve done breakfast, lunch, and dinner here-all fantastic offerings! Never had a bad meal here and always enjoyed the friendly staff.Patio seating is perfect on a sunny day or if you’ve brought your dog (they’re totally dog friendly!) and indoor seating is limited but just as comfy. The decor keeps your eyes busy for awhile!
