Hoka Hoka Sushi had a great atmosphere and decor ... we ordered takeout and were happy with the speed at which our food was ready, the food was great, fresh ingredients, very tasty and beyond our expectations ... we might have over ordered for two people but we were hungry and almost finished it all ... would recommend trying their dessert!!!

Great small sushi joint. Great happy hour menu! Drinks and most rolls are on the happy hour menu. The place isnt huge so seats fill up quick but orders come out quickly. Friendly staff and chefs. Defintely going back soon!

Great little Sushi place in Redondo Beach. We had the Hoka Hoka too and it was fabu! The teriyaki sauce is really good, and the wait staff is attentive. I only have one complaint: they need more tables! I hope they grow soon! Definitely recommended!!!

Since weve moved to Torrance, this is our go-to Sushi spot. Staff is friendly and on it! The sushi and house rolls taste amazing and the sashimi is a generous cut. Get there early for happy hour as it does build a crowd quickly.

Last night was my first time visiting Hoka Hoka. Wow, the happy hour deals here are awesome! It’s a pretty happening sushi joint for a reason. The vibe is great, sushi is excellent and service on par. The Aloha Roll is a must try if you like spicy tuna (very spicy) and albacore! Am definitely going back.

The ONLY reason Im giving 3 stars is because the sushi was delicious! I wanted to give 5 but the girl at the front desk was very rude! I contemplated on if I wanted to spend my money here or not. fyi people can read your body language, she acted as if I was bothering her by asking a question about the menu. I was the only customer in the building, so what was the impatience for? If you cant be polite you shouldnt be the first rude face a customer sees when entering. The guy who brought my food out was much more polite.

This is the best sushi in the south bay and some of the best sushi in LA. It is certainly one of the top sushi values in LA. I started going here and you got a special roll, 4 pieces of sushi, miso soup, and a small edamame for $7.99. Now, 5 years later, its $11.99 and Im still happy to pay that any day of the week. The chefs are talented and they get some of the freshest fish of anyone around. Ive eaten at a lot of local sushi restaurants and they often taste deflated or over-spiced in comparison. My favorite rolls are the Jessica and Ooeeshi rolls, but I look forward to the tuna sushi the most.

Well Im vegetarian, so I cant speak on how the fish is here, but... the vegetarian rolls are good! I got the avocado roll and vegetable tempura roll and they tasted great! I had to ask the sever for the vegetarian selection though, because its not on the menu. It would be awesome if there were a few vegetarian rolls to choose from on the menu. This last trip there, my son got food poisening. He threw up all night and was completely miserable he felt sick right after eating there. I was treated very rudely by the staff and lady preparing the orders! The food I was scheduled to pick up on my app said it was ready. I entered the restaurant went to the back to collect the order. The lady preparing it yelled at me stand in the front! I said ok. After the scheduled delivery time had expired I asked again if the food was ready? She tied the bag while throwing the food at me. I asked please dont tie the bag I need to make sure the order was completely there. While I was checking the order she grabs the bag out of my hand scratching my arm and throwing me out of her way pushing me out of the restaurant saying I need to leave, I am not doing my job.. So I left and called my boss and got the situation resolved. Dont be mistreated there are so many other better places to eat here in the South bay!

Japanese American fusion sushi, hola hola will be filled within 20 minutes of opening most days of the week. The happy hour special which runs for a couple hours each night gives you a good selection of rolls served with 4 pcs of nigiri or a California roll.
