This has got to be one of the best fried chicken places in the area. I stepped in and immediately asked the worker what was the healthiest thing on their menu. I was told that the fried chicken salad was an easy and healthy go-to. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint! Both the quality of the meat and quantity was worth the review.Not only was the food amazing, but the service, friendliness of the staff, and the cleanliness of the facility was top tier.Will definitely return if you don’t.

What a bummer! Used to come here weekly because it was so damn good. This time I showed up and the strips are nothing like the size that they used to be. I asked the guy at the front about it and he says it depends on how they are cut and they might throw in an extra strip, but Im not buying that answer. Everything is much smaller and the chicken is even lower quality stringy stuff. Before they were big, thick, and always tasted really really high-quality.The seasoning on them and the come back sauce is just as delicious as before, but I dont think I can just buy 18 bucks for this box 😬 a straight up answer wouldve been nicer than this weird depends on how its cut canned response.I would happily return if they brought back the old good quality stuff. Maybe a supplier changed, who knows.

Ordered 5 spicy strips plus fries and drinks. I thought the strips are covered in sauce like nashville hot from other restaurants cause in the pictures they looked like they are dipped in sauce. But so far this is one of the best strips i had, better in taste and size compared to raising canes. The comeback dipping sauce is better too. I ordered an extra caramel soy. Taste dilluted, less sweet with a hint of bitterness. I am expecting more of a soy garlic bonchon like taste. Staff were more than happy to replace with a comeback sauce. I hope you add more flavors/sauces option for the chicken.

Ordered the whole chicken with half regular and half spicy. I also ordered one of every sauce to really taste the condiments they offered. Chicken was crispy and delicious and the cook himself looked happy to serve us personally what he had just made to us. Excellent customer service. Rivals bb.q chicken and KoKo’s chicken.

Ordered loaded fries and Seoul Spicy chicken sandwich.Fries were crinkle style, perfectly creamy inside and that crisp on the outside that is so satisfying and stands up to the sweet and spicy sauce and cheese sauce. They also have those rolled tortilla chips covered in red spicy powder (flamas, I think), with chopped onion and cilantro. Its such a good dish if you like sauce and spicy.The Seoul Spicy chicken sandwich is likewise smothered in delicious sweet and spicy sauce, with perfectly crispy breading and incredibly juicy chicken. The daikon radish slaw is finely shredded and cuts the richness of the sauce really well.The music is a bit loud for me inside, but this place is largely a takeout restaurant, and I am sensitive to loud, so sit outside if you are like me or want to talk to someone. Theres plenty of shade in the afternoon on the patio.Definitely coming here regularly after this.

Fantastic! Didn’t know what to eat and chanced on this on Yelp and decided to try. Absolutely no regrets there! The chicken is super crispy and not greasy at all. The batter is tasty and the flesh is still tender and yummy! The chicken tenders were expectedly large! Nice servings for the price. Definitely coming back

This place is good and service is good too. The first time I tried this place they gave me extra chicken strips. But the second time I went which was 2 days ago, I ate the only one chicken strip bc it was super gooey and had a bunch of nerves in it. It made me feel like just throwing up. the next day, I woke up in the morning because I had the worst feeling ever, I went to the toilet, vomited, and then I got diarrhea. I contacted my doctor and she said it was the stomach virus. And guess what? The food was contaminated with things that go inside of it if the fryer isn’t cleaned. I’ll never buy from here ever again. Worst 50 dollars spent on this place and worst experience ever

Why did I only find out about this place yesterday?The food is amazing. The staff is friendly. The place is clean.I tried both the Spicy Sandwich and the Seoul Spicy Sandwich. They both had different personalities to them and the daikonslaw and the cole slaw made the flavors different (in addition to the seasoning of the chicken strips). However, the comeback sauce really makes you want to go back and it definitely was the game changer for the sandwich.There is plenty of parking since its located near other establishments. They also have some outside seating available, so you can enjoy your food with some Cali sun. They also have a seating area inside the establishment.Ill definitely be back to try the other sandwiches.

This is a twist on spicy chicken’s sandwich. The Seoul Spicy chicken sandwich packed some serious flavor and the addition of pickled radish completely changes the game! Ok, so this place had me itching to try their wings. Was curious if they would give BonChon some competition. They have a simple in-n-out style menu. Portions are hefty. Prices are reasonable.Store wasn’t busy, and the staff appeared like they just didn’t want to be there. The place looked clean, until you sat at a table and it was sticky. No matter how much we tried to wipe it down, it remained.Definitely order the fries and radishes. We only got wings, but look forward to trying them again for their sandwiches. The photos from others look amazing!Parking is easy.

Holdaak is one of the most unique chicken shops out right now, and in one of the best ways possible. Hot chicken might be the current trend, but Holdaak stuck to their own style that holds its own amongst the rest.I was interested in Holdaak when they first opened because it seemed like a Korean spin on the most popular Nashville Hot chicken restaurant in California, from the menu style to the chicken. I was completely thrown off on my first visit, because it is absolutely nothing like hot chicken or Korean fried chicken flavourwise, in the most pleasant way. While they do serve a variety of Korean fried chicken style wings and sauces, the main stars in my opinion are the spicy tenders and sandwiches.The sandwich is very well balanced with the pickled vegetables, which are a nice change of pace from the typical mayo/vinegar coleslaw bunches found in other chicken shops. They help round out the comeback sauce, which is more mayo heavy and seems to complement carbs much more than any other signature sauce Ive had. The best way to summarise the sandwich is as if there was a fried chicken banh mi, spiced with hot pot flavours.On that note, the seasoning of the chicken truly does remind me of hot pot. Thats a bit broad, but theres strong umami flavours throughout each bite as if it was powdered with dried up Szechuan stock. Im not familiar enough with my spices to discern the taste that well, but its truly unique to Holdaak and keeps me coming back for more. On top of that, the breading has an great amount of texture to it that keeps each bite crunchy.The fries are cut well thickness wise and dusted with similar seasoning, with the slice of bread buttered and toasted on one side. These are served with every order of tenders and while they are just sides, theyre ridiculously addicting and pair well with the sauce. I never really dip toast or fries in these sauces at other shops since it becomes a bit much, but theres a slight sweetness that keeps me coming back for more at Holdaak.Originally, I found that the breading did not hold up very well and often found myself pulling complete tenders out of their shell with my teeth. Despite this, I continued to enjoy the tenders almost every month and over time this no longer became an issue. Props to Holdaak for this improvement over time, while maintaining consistent taste!Holdaak holds a strong place in my heart now as my go to comfort food. The menu items have strong value and taste, while also being available relatively late at night. Im glad to see this business expanding and getting the recognition is deserves as well.

To us: we got the original and seoul spicy and it did not disappoint. Im shocked at the price they offer given the quality of the food. It was one of the best chicken burgers I have ever had.to others: although the price is near fast food level, the quality is way above it. I will say because the amount it takes to make the food ready, it will be tight if you are there for a quick lunch. Even with 1-2 people ahead of us, the food took a while longer than expected. Try the come back sauce, its good.to the owners: the drink station is designed so that the sodas are spilt to the floor. There is no catch station where water filter down to the drain but rather on the floor. It was a bit messy. And Given how often people go to get drinks, its pretty messy and something to fixp.s: i work at a packaging company, if you ever need packaging supplies, do leave a email!

Overall, a great place to eat. Big portions, very reasonably priced, crispy fry on the chicken and good tasting food.Ordered the 5 pc chicken strips and could only eat 2 and the fries, the strips are big, think turkey strips.Also ordered the caramel soy chicken wings and they were delicious. Sweet and crunchy!Wife had the chicken sandwich which had marinated veg on it, also, very tasty and big!Bring your appetite !!!We also ordered a side of corn salad......I, personally, am not a fan of it. To me, it tasted like frozen corn, ranch dressing and seasoned fry bits on top. But I would recommend trying it, you might like it.The fries were delicious and tasty when dipped into the spicy sauce.They offer original and spicey fry on the chicken. Delicious chicken tenders, wings, and sandwiches! Their breading has a great crunch to it that reminds me of those crispy ramen snacks. Itd be nice if they had even spicier options since theirs wasnt enough for us. The pickled items are a great addition to the chicken sandwiches as they lighten up the oiliness of the juicy chicken. Above all, the menu items are all at a very reasonable price. Would come again.

Went in with an expectation that it was going to be good and Holdaak blew me out of the water! Continuing our hot chicken circuit, we stopped at the Fullerton location for a quick dinner. We really enjoyed it. The chicken is juicy and delicious. Both sandwich and tenders passed the dry test. The fried coating is reminiscent of panko, light yet crispy. They make the chicken spicy hot by way of sprinkling on the seasonings after cooking. Id say their spice level was a medium. Had a good kick, but not forehead sweaty kick. The fries were seasoned and just okay tasting to half of us. Prefer Daves and Hotvilles fries over these, but what did make half of us love these was the comeback sauce for dipping. It had a strong sambal oolek flavor that hit just the right spot. The cherry on top here was the providing of plastic gloves to protect your fingers from the oil and sauces. Living our best Asian mom life with those. Ignore Googles crowd index for here. It gets the Starbucks drive thru confused with the restaurant.

I like it when they’re a little spicy!I can’t even remember how we found this place, but if I remember correctly, we wanted to try another chicken spot in Fullerton and they were closed. Too bad for them.There was a time we were coming here at least once a week. We even recruited my dad, mom, and sister.We usually eat family style so we get a 5 piece chicken tenders (spicy) which comes with fries and a piece of toast, and the 12 pc. wings. This is enough to feed a family of three and we have enough leftovers for at least one lunch the next day.I’m not the biggest fan of their wings, but their still good. If I had to pick seasonings, I’d go with spicy or original for the wings. If it’s the tenders, definitely spicy. Also, it’s worth paying for extra sauce. I take it home and eat it with other meals.Overall, this is a killer spot with a nice little patio area to eat outside especially while it’s still warm.Bring the friends or family for a treat.

Amazing fried chicken. Never had Korean Fried Chicken, but the results are great. Nice spicy breading, and the shredded daikon really adds nice freshness and crunch to the sandwich. Popcorn chicken makes for a nice side, or snack. Portions are very generous, and prices are very reasonable. Employee behind counter was super friendly, and helpful. Promised to make it even spicier on request, so I would go with that if you like spiced foods, as the spicy chicken is spicy, but not super spicy. Shop is on the small side, so larger party might do better as take out instead of eating in. Definitely will be back to take them up on the even spicier chicken.

Ordered spicy chicken sandwich combo and Cole slaw.Spicy Chicken sandwich: fried white chicken meat the size of your palm. Batter is crispy, meat is juicy and tender. Seasoning is Cajun influenced spice. Topped with pickled radish, pickled onion, bell pepper and jalapeño. The overall spicy level is on par with jalapeño. So if you cant really handle jalapeño, dont order this. Portion is pretty good too, I did t even finish the fries after the sandwich.Fries: crispy on the outside, soft inside, one of the best thick fries Ive had. The burger was good and so was the service. The only thing I will knock from this place is that I ordered an original chicken Sandwich so I didnt expect it to be spicy. When I ate it though it was a completely different story. It was so spicy it burned my lip. I liked the food still but next time I would at least appreciate a warning since there is an option for original or spicy.

Tried the spicy chicken sandwich combo w fries and side of ranch. Chicken sandwich is solid, meat was super moist and the breading is flavorful and super crunchy. It didnt taste oily or stale which was good. The chicken itself wasnt spicy enough for me but you can taste like a bit of heat. They had pickled slaw on top of the sandwich which reminded me of vietnamese banh mi pickled veggies. The fries though were awesome and the ranch dip was amazing! Delicious! My husband and son are always on the look out to try the best spicy chicken sandwich. They loved this place! Holdaak dips their chicken in chili oil and rub it with spices for their spicy sandwich. I had their OG chicken sandwich which wasn’t spicy but so good. We also tried the chicken wings. Yum! The prices are good and the food is quality. I recommend trying out Holdaak. Take out only during Covid. No outdoor seating.

Tried the spicy chicken sandwich here and it did not disappoint. The buns were soft, chicken was moist and super flavorful. I think what really puts this all together is the Asian style slaw (pickled radish, pickled onions and seems like korean green pepper) It complements the fried chicken so well and gets rid of the oily taste. The fries were also hot and well seasoned. The only thing I would say is that its not really spicy at all....more savory sauce. (Chick-fil-a spicy chicken is more spicy) But it was an excellent chicken sandwich.

My sandwich spicy had a huge amount of juicy chicken breast that had a very satisfying crunchy breading. But there was no spicy kick to enjoy. Too many veggies for my liking (but easy to remove). Fries were good but I suspect frozen. The cherry catsup was a first for me and a great surprise. Overall the food was fresh and well prepared just a little short on flavor. I will try Holdaak again to see how everything evolves as they settle in to their new endeavor.

Very tasty chicken sandwich. A Korean take on a classic southern fried Chicken sandwich, which to me is a perfect match. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich which had the perfect amount of heat. Just be careful when ordering, dark meat is the default setting here so if you want white meat (no extra charge) you must specify up front. Personally I believe this information should be on the menu but it is not.

I found your spot.Created with a Korean flair, Holdaak puts out juicy chicken covered in a crispy crust, topped with tasty pickled daikon radish, red radish, and for the spicy chicken sandwich strips of jalapeños (seedless). $7 for the Spicy Chicken sandwich $6 for the regular.Every great sandwich has to have some special sauce and Holdaaks comeback sauce tastes like a creamier, spicy version or thousand island without the pickle.Not only are there great sandwiches, but chicken wings are super moist and tasty. 6 piece wings for $8 not a bad deal. I recommend the spicy version sprinkled with a spicy rub mixture.Brother- where you get this from? This place is bomb! And hes a picky eater.I will absolutely be returning here.

This place is 100x better than Dave’s. The chicken is crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside and the spicy option has the perfect amount of kick. The portions are pretty big and good for the price. I also tried the Seoul Spicy chicken sand which and it was the perfect combo of spicy and sweet. Will definitely be coming back in the future.

We stop here when we come to Anaheim. Each time the food is hot and delicious. I usually get the spicy chicken sandwich with fries. The chicken was nice and crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The sauce to dip the fries in are so good. I wish I can have a bottle of it. Prices are reasonable. Plenty of parking and friendly staff. I made my order on their website and they have a deal on there if you order online. When I ordered online it was 15 percent off sandwiches. It can change each day.

I love Holdaak! Great place with bar stool and table seating. If eating in a large group Id suggest eating outside at the tables. Food is made to order and comes out very fast! The tenders are always a good and filling size. Tried their new flavors recently and was absolutely in love! The caramel soy is delicious and Im not a spice-eater otherwise Im sure I wouldve loved the Seoul Spicy! Prices are affordable! Tried it for the 1st time this weekend. I couldnt tell if the guy at the counter was helpful or annoyed with my questions. We went with the caramel soy wings and they were delicious. My daughters went with chicken strips..1 spicy and 1 original. The chicken is white meat and its very juicy. Perfect amount of breading. The come back sauce is spicy but good. Literally a year an a half ago I could get a 5 piece spicy for $10…. Now it’s $17. Imagine spending $60 for 3 people or even just a 3 piece and not leftovers. $50 …. I swore by this place. I got many of my friends hooked. I raved. I also cannot stand that they had the audacity to get rid of their AMAZING shake fries. This was their distinctive feature. Anywho…. Food is amazing but Jesus I can literally buy a pair of LuLulemon shorts or feed myself and two others for the night. I just cannot justify this. ( yes I understand inflation, gas, blah blah but chicken is LITERALLY going down in price but I don’t see the restaurant lowering their price to the market. 🙂. Great sandwich. Sauce is tasty but could be spicier. Breast was a bit thin but still juicy. Loved the pickled onion and slaw they use, brings the sandwich full circle. Wings are killer too. Definitely recommend if in the area.

I can’t believe I would ever write this to my go to chicken sandwich place. In 2018 ive tried its spicy chicken sandwich and the fries combo. I was completely shocked cause the flavor just exploded in my mouth like a frag grenade. Also I can taste it’s umami right from the start, and the fries are cooked to perfection that compliments the flavor of the chicken sandwich. I’ve never thought radish and different variety’s of veggies can make this sandwich way ahead of its completion, until now. I came today looking forward to it since I haven’t ate here for almost two months. The moment I walked in I was shocked how the place has changed and the menu items are completely different. The prices hiked way up than its original 12 dollars combo meal I think. I’ve noticed right away that the chicken Pattie’s that were used were just small chicken tenders which lacks its flavorful punch. The fries seemed like they just bought it to the local target which lacks its original seasoning. Also it’s comeback sauce rose from 0.25 to 0.75 cents now. I didn’t see the receipt since the cashier never bothered if I want my receipt. Hopefully holdaak can come back to its original glory cause before I keep telling everyone that this will put Chick-fil-A in the past. I will come back again soon and I will be fair and give y’all a second chance.

This location opened not too long ago and i’ve never heard of it before. I went for the first time over a month ago and the food was extremely good. My go to would be the spicy chicken tender combo. It did not come with fries and did not have an option to add fries in the app the way you can normally (for an extra charge). This is probably due to the fact that the time in between has given the oil and powder time to properly blend together. No, they do not use sauces for any of their offerings, not hot sauce, anyway. They do offer a dipping sauce, but it leaves much to be desired. Theres a bit of sweetness to the powder they pour over the oil glistening chicken - whether strips or wings- which is a bit odd. They serve their strips with a thick piece of bread which will absorb all that glistening oil. Korean chicken sandwich spot, easy to find, ample parking, 3 tables for parties of 4 (rest of the tables are for singles/couples), quick service, starbucks next door to get coffeegot their non-spicy combo, interesting flavor on the chicken sandwich as a whole, fries are great (wish they gave more, like a lot more), the chicken was nice and juicy, decent portion still for right under 9$
