2023-11-15 22:31:45Really tasty chicken wings (the batter so thin and crispy!) I stumbled upon here waiting for my milk tea at Chicha San Chen. Really happy to have found this place. Servers are really nice and its very clean here as well. Definitely would recommend and will be back!

2023-08-03 12:38:19We were surprised how good the prices were compared to other restaurants these days and the portions were generous as well. We ordered the fried pork chop on a whim. It had just the right amount of perfectly fried breading and a caramelized sugar coating. The hot pots all come with a sizzling crystal except for #20 because they said they did a taste test and concluded it would be too sticky. However, the server was nice enough to reheat my hot pot in the back when the fat in the soup started to congeal. One thing of note is that both #1 and #20 hot pots say they come with pork blood on the menu. They havent had pork blood both times we went and it didnt tell us. Later on, they said it was substituted with tofu. The beef noodle soup didnt come with the most quality ingredients but it was tasty and there was plenty of chunks of meat. Really dig the vibe here. Almost all of the tables were full even at 11pm on a Tuesday and people were stopping in to get to-go as well. Great place for a late night dinner when so many places close at 9pm. I heard from a friend that their bentos at lunch are pretty worth as well.

2023-11-14 04:31:07You can tell a restaurant is good by how many people are there. This restaurant is full and more people are waiting to get in. The menu has something to fill any wish. Portions are large. Quality is good. Prices are fair. We were very satisfied!

2023-10-08 06:07:18It is the same as fashion wok. We used to have fashion wok in Foster City, and it was closed. Found this when we are around the shopping complex looking for boba. The menu is almost the same as fashion wok. I like the side dishes. It has more variety than Fashion wok. The food is great. I miss the lamb hotpot, and I ordered it. Side dish is good, and the fried rib is also good. I wish the fried rib had more kick. Service us good. The personal hotpot comes with rice. Price has gone up, but it is reasonable.

2023-07-09 22:02:00My review focuses on answering 2 questions - do I recommend it to others? Will I come back again? Sadly, my answers are NO and NO. Here is why.The good - the restaurant is clean, tidy and pleasant to dine in, though they really need to turn on the AC sooner. There are 2 ways the food is served here - the traditional sit-down type of dining, which we tried; And the Panda-Express take-out style which we didn’t try (but the food can also be served in the restaurant). The waiters were friendly, the utensils are clean. The bad - sadly the food. The 2 veggie dishes we ordered are way too oily and no taste at all. It seemed the cook forgot to add any salt to the dishes. The fried chicken wings dish 香烹鸡翅 tasted a bit too sweet, I have had a better experience of this dish somewhere else before. We also tried the Pork Tripe soup dish 胡椒猪肚煲鸡. The soup is quite delicious, but the meat itself does not have much taste. it seemed like a lot of external spices used for the soup but the meats were only added after the soup is done. The pan cake wrap beef dish (牛肉卷饼) tastes good, but the same dish at the restaurant “next door” tastes much better. We paid about $80+ for all 5 dishes and tips, pretty reasonable given the location of the restaurant. We saw 4.9 ratings on google, which was why we gave it a try, but it does not live up to this high ratings IMO. One thing worth mentioning is that they are running a promotion to give away free drink for posting a review online. But I have not found this or any dish that makes me want to come back again.

2023-07-24 01:48:47Wow this place is great! What a cool authentic Chinese experience with a bit of a twist.Good:- This place is super streamlined, you place your order and they have so many tables but still bring things out quick- Feels more casual ambiance- Portion sizes are huge!- Loved the hotpot dishes, the miso one was great- Walnut shrimp was incredible and so crispyBad:- If you don’t know Chinese this is much harder of an experience.Overall really enjoyed this place and left so so full but craving more.

2023-07-12 01:46:56Good prices. Foods are relatively healthy. Ambiance is like a cafeteria although it is more crowded. Most dishes are like home-cooked. I prefer this to a similar development called Taiwan Porridge, which has similar though a smaller selection of foods. The service at Home Eat is better. Some staff at Taiwan Porridge is not as polite. I recommend Home Eat.

2023-06-18 04:55:54The food is great, pretty authentic. They have a huge space so its great for large groups. We did family style with 11 people and everything was well loved by the table. The service is also great!! The watermelon juice was soooooo good Im pretty sure everyone at the table got one. Overall a great experience and well be back, especially since its hard to find great food thats open late.

2023-07-03 22:09:39We ordered two Entries Plates (with two dishes mixed in each plate) with one fried rice for around $30 only! They all tasted awesome. We will definitely visit this restaurant frequently in the future!
