Staff was amazing. Food was better than expected. Definitely recommend staying here.
If you have a dog who is high maintenance like mine and doesn’t go potty on turf and requires grass, then don’t stay here. There were two potty areas for dogs that were like 8’x8’ section of artificial grass. Unfortunately, I had called in advance to ensure it was real grass and was told it was, but realized it wasn’t when we arrived so we had to drive a mile to a nearby park a few times a day which was such an inconvenience. We stayed a couple nights and one of the nights, the folks staying in the room in front of ours were banging on the doors until 2 in the morning and they trashed the hallway. There was also a few instances where people who didn’t have key cards were waiting outside the perimeter doors and they ended up walking in with us and started going door to door, seemingly trying to find where their room was? There was no security monitoring so it just didn’t seem the safest. I contacted the manager to provide feedback on a few things like being charged a different fee than what I had initially agreed to. The manager was defensive and I just didn’t feel like she had any empathy to my concerns. She said that noise and the mess was out of their control and that their pricing is listed on their website. Overall, the breakfast was good, the hotel room itself was clean, but due to my other concerns I will not be returning.
Proximity to the airport is the best!! When you have your bags, call the hotel so they can send the shuttle. It is a quick ride. The hotel property is beautiful. The staff is helpful and personable. The rooms are spacious and equipped with everything you need for a long stay or a stay with children. Morning breakfast option is the standard but the dining rooms are large and clean. There seems to be an endless amount of hot water making this one if the best showers Ive had in a long time away from home. Location is 20-30 minute ride from all of the Long Beach offerings. We loved relaxing in the lobby reading and enjoying the 24 hour coffee service. Homewood Suites checked all of my boxes.
Great experience! We were in town for an allergy appointment and I had been researching where to stay for months. We flew into the Long Beach airport and this hotel is absolutely outstanding location as it is just around the corner. It is a safe area with lots of options for both eating and grocery. The hotel had a very clean lobby, the staff was pleasant, room is spacious and clean, and the breakfast was outstanding. As I said, I had been researching where to stay for months, and this location and hotel fully lived up to the expectations. We will definitely be staying here again when we have future appointments.!
From the moment we checked into the Homewood Suites hotel, there were problems. From the ants in the couch bed, to the loud generator noise above our room, to receiving blankets to finally go to sleep at 11pm, sofa bed extremely uncomfortable, woke up every morning with back aches. When asked to switch rooms, we were told we could not be accommodated as all rooms were booked, we asked if our room could be cleaned, we were told we could not be fit into their schedules. Jasmine did try to help by giving a credit for the parking but got all that my family and I went through, it’s a shame this hotel hasn’t been red flagged. As a business owner in the inspection field, the hotel should never judge a book by its cover. Parking should always be free and my family and I should be accommodated for our 10 days that we paid in advance for. I gave a 3/10 because we were disappointed from the moment we checked in but they did have nice family activities and enjoyed the many shopping places around the hotel
We have adopted Homewood suites as our home away from home everywhere we go now.Their beds and rooms, so far, have all been comfortable and clean. The complimentary breakfast is good, and the people are always welcoming and accommodating.
Loved everything about the room but the bathroom area. Absolutely hated the bathroom set up. The doors of the closet and bathroom open into the same area right in front of the sink..so you couldnt have multiple people in that area. Water got everywhere when you showered. Not enough ventilation in the bathroom and over time I think will become an issue. Wall paper was peeling at the bottom, I believe was caused by the excessive moisture in the bathroom.The side door leading in the building wasnt working, our phone in the room wasnt working and the ice machine. I requested not to have our phone fixed until after our stay. I did requested to have the ice machine and door looked at. The items remained broken during the time of our stay. We only stayed 2 nights..so a very short stay.I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and the very helpful staff at the hotel.
Great location and the service was amazing. Staff was very accommodating. Very pleasant. Rooms are starting to get a little tired though. Definitely need some love on the carpeting and the paint. Otherwise it was a great experience
When we checked in as a party of five -two adults and three children, we were greeted and helped by Nahiely. We needed two rooms, but only one was ready. She put us on the priority status list for the next available room. She even ensured our request for having our rooms next door to each other was fulfilled. The next morning, my family slept in. So I went downstairs to get breakfast for them to take back to the rooms. I use a rollator, and struggled to get the food situated. Thats where Norma stepped in. She not only helped me fix plates, but she also gave me to-go boxes and trays to make things easier for me. She even provided me with oranges and apples to round out the kids breakfast. After we checked out, I (thought) I left my watch in the room. I spoke to John, and he went back to the room to retrieve the watch. When he didnt readily find it on the dresser, he proceeded to check the bed, the covers, and the couch cushions. He looked disheartened to tell me he didnt find it. (It turns out I actually had it, but it was at the very bottom of my bag, and blended in with its interior.) The goodness didnt end there. Our flight was not scheduled to leave until approximately 5 hours later. We didnt rent a car, as we planned to use the hotel shuttle. Rather than make us sit at the airport all those hours with the kids, John allowed us to remain comfortable in the hotels lobby and dining area. I am glad we chose this location for our stay. Nahiely, Norma, and John took great care of us. We will stay here again the next time we are in this vicinity.
The hotel and staff were fine, the reason for the lower rating was we were arriving late in the night and I had called a month and 2 weeks before our trip to reserve two pack n plays for my grandbabies. When we arrived at the hotel at 1:00 am we got to our rooms and there were no pack n plays. I called the front desk and she was surprised because my reservation stated we needed two. The desk agent came up to our room 15 mins later and said she couldn’t find any. This was upsetting because my two grandbabies had no where to sleep. This was the frustrating since I had called two separate times to ensure we had these.
The best experience at any hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff was amazing and everyone was so tentative, kind and helpful. Really enjoyed our stay.
Had our family reunion here and the majority of the staff was excellent! Only 1 person made it not perfect. Great hotel and staff from catering to general manager. The food was ok, but the service made up for anything lacking.
Nice base for travel around Longbeach area. LOTS of good food choices within walking distance. Staff happy to help when AC doesnt come on as expected, or might need a different pillow choice. Happy to stay again.
Brand new hotel in a great location. Ample parking and there are plenty of dining establishments within walking distance if you do not have a car. Easy access to Long Beach airport, freeways, shopping. Very quiet area, lovely pool and spacious rooms.
UPDATE: I WANT TO ADD THAT THE MANAGEMENT TEAM DID REACH OUT AND MADE THIS RIGHT WITH US, AND ARE WORKING DILIGENTLY TO RESOLVE ALL ISSUES.CRUISERS BEWARE...We stayed at this location twice, once on 02/03-02/04/23 and the 2nd time 02/11-02/13/23....(currently). 1st night not a great experience, once in our room the sofa was unusable it was torn up like an animal attacked it all the stuffing was coming out. Then we had a not great experience with a young male housekeeper just wreaking of marijuana. We had our children with us. Upon returning I was able to give a manager a bit of feedback. We were then told pool was heated, jumped into ice water and found that pool heater is broken. Unfortunately both the beds were horrible, old and dipped down in the center we are very tall so perfect for a bad nights sleep. We were then told the plates bowls utensils were for only two that were supplied in the full kitchen, though room had 2 beds and 4 occupied it. On top of that we stayed in our room for the morning and in the early afternoon we asked to have our towels refreshed and room flipped they said NO, that has to be scheduled the night before?! REALLY...where did it say that??? That was a first for us, the bed linens are terrible,they actually used a mattress pad skirt cover stuffed into a bed topper as a blanket, that is torn and shredded, is pretty horrible. So needless to say if this is the basic standard for Hiltons Homewood Suites, the Value Proposition for us is ZERO in comparison to the high nightly pricing. We were staying before and after a cruise out of long beach port, which ended up being a mistaken choice. We have always enjoyed our Hilton Honors membership, unfortunately this makes us question using Hilton in the future as we have never had these experiences anywhere else we have stayed.TO BE FAIR....The manager I gave feedback to was very professional stating they were waiting to get newer sofas, the staff were able to check us in early as we got off our ship early, and they were all very nice. I think the uncomfortable beds, terrible shredded linens, dumping our own garbage cans and begging for towels, and utensils is where we were surprised of the service. Hey, maybe we are spoiled weve stayed at many hotels along the west coast including Homewood Suites in other areas, never had quality control issues like this. EVER!
So me and my family been staying here the last two nights the I must say that I am disappointed are you still work for Homewood suites and it was nothing like this I’ve been doing housekeeping going on nine years, so when I travel, I like to see a hotels cleanliness but unfortunately, this is not one of them so our first night that we came here first thing when I get in the room. I always check to see if the most been dusted the top of bed was not dusted. There was a lot of dust. The pictures had not been dusted. The mirror by the door had not been to stay on top of that. There was food on the dresser and food on the table. There was hair on the couch, the floors were disgusting. The beds look like they had not been made It was a very sloppy job we asked to be moved rooms in the other room. We moved in was also not dusted. Sadly beds were made a little bit better but it’s a family of four and we were only provided one face towel in the room which that is not correct so what I get from it is the housekeepers are very lazy and the housekeeper supervisor who is supposed to come inside the home inspector rooms after we clean the rooms does not do her job, because if I am a guest and I’m able to see what the supervisor supposed to be saying when she goes inside to inspect the rooms, then there’s something wrong the second night oh by the way they said we were getting queen size beds and they were full size beds so they’re over pricing for beds that are not the correct size the second night we came in the room I inspected the room. Once again, the room was not clean correctly. The inside of the windowsills were not dusted. The top of the bed once again was not tested. The pictures were not dusted. The mirror by the door was not dusted, and the dishes are disgusting. They did not wash those dishes, the housekeeper inspector did not expect to make sure the dishes were washed and people were spending a hard earned money and to not get cleanliness is not OK I am old my family will we not be going back to this Homewood suites i’m going to try to see if I can upload the pictures because I took pictures when we were in the wrong because I sent them a litter of the dishes the beds not being made, the dirtiness finding food finding hair
Terrible customer service from front desk. They really don’t care about you once you already paid. I will never stay here again. We are in bed but security is at the door saying we are too loud but we are making zero noise. I go downstairs and on my way there are children running through the hallway and people are making plenty of noise as you would expect at 10:30 pm on a Saturday. Nobody is being quiet. At the front desk I’m very rudely told it’s their policy because this is quiet time and they are just doing their job. I’m being bothered for doing absolutely nothing while most people are actually doing the things I’m told I’m doing and they think I’m not upset now!!!!
Great way to spend a family vacation. Staff was helpful and gave excellent service. The housekeeping staff did a great job. Its nice that you put in your request the day before and give a time that you will be out of your room. The housekeeping staff comes in while youre out and does a great job cleaning. So much better than having them knock in the morning expecting you to leave. For flights into Long Beach airport you are at the hotel in a couple minutes. Check in is fast and easy! We plan to make this our hotel when we come home to visit. We moved to the Midwest and love this hotel!
Pros: Nicely updated and clean room with well appointed kitchen. Excellent hotel location close to shops, restaurants, LB airport.Cons: Must request room service if desired; May not receive it until following day. Trash noted outside guest rooms for >24 hrs, complementary breakfast lacking with unappetizing precooked ‘sausages’ and reheated frozen mini omelets.I have stayed at Hilton’s competitor, Ma****tt and their breakfasts surpass.
I have stayed here over a dozen times since they opened and have been really satisfied. Until now. Its been 2 years since Ive stayed here (covid) and the service has really gone downhill. Rooms are good, location is great, but housekeeping and service is very lacking.You have to call to schedule housekeeping - I called at 830 am and was told I could not get housekeeping until the following day. People leave trash outside their doors and it takes 48 hrs for housekeeping to pick up. Beer bottles laying around in the hallway, and its just not cool to be walking down the long halls and seeing everyones trash piling up for two days.Need to do laundry? Good luck fighting over the 1 working washing machine while staring at the numerous out of order signs on the others.Need help with something broken in your room? I asked for 2 nights in a row before someone came up to fix a simple issue.I had a specific question about my reservation and the staff didnt even try to assist, actually made it even worse by suggesting I might have to wait even longer for another guest to leave a room.If you are staying for more than a night, you might want to skip this location.

This spot is right next to the airport with a free shuttle on call. A continental breakfast is included and is very tasty with hot food, a variety of coffee, teas, and fruits. While I can appreciate the updated showers in the rooms with glass doors, the floors are thin. If you walk to hard the people below you will definitely hear it, so maybe try for a top floor room. Also, nice pool area and a variety of shops and food very nearby.
Their app says the shuttle will take you anywhere within 1 mile... This is NOT true. Its only to and from the airport, but should not be advertised as anywhere. I purposely did not rent a car because my event was 3/4 of a mile away, but I did not learn this until I went to the lobby to request a ride. I ended up having to get a last minute Lyft ride, which almost made me late. Other than that everything else was A+
Breakfast pretty good, rooms comfortable even with 3-year old grandsons equipment scattered about. Good location for what we were doing. Pool was nice, interesting places to eat in walking distance. Area is actually historic due to Douglas Aircraft history.
Worst Hotel Experience Ever!Taking my family on their first Hawaiian Vacation flying out of LBC. Decided to spend the money on a nice Hotel. I mean Hilton is supposed to be nice right?Arrived on June 25th around 9:00PM. After a long drive in a lot of traffic. All we wanted to do was sleep since our flight leaves very early at 5:30AM. We had troubles every step of the way. From checking in late and not getting the room we reserved, having to request a cot for the lack of beds (which we were charged extra for), then greeted by a foul smell walking in the room. Found a large wet puddle in the middle of the floor, of who knows what? Had to place multiple towels over the spot to avoid stepping in it. Room did not seem to be thoroughly cleaned either. Everything we touched seemed to either be dirty or broken. Found trash under bathroom sink & in the corner by the beds. But we were trying to make the best of what we got. Except it didnt stop there. The curtains by some strange design are meant to let in all the city lights from the airport & freeway. To shine in on us & they could not be closed. This design was due to the pillar & AC unit under the window. The AC unit unit also shut itself on/off constantly all night making it near impossible to rest comfortably. How do you sleep with bright lights shining in, warmed up, then freezing? It was literal torture. We managed to rig the curtains shut by bunching them together with a hair tie. Then proceeded to get ready for bed. Except the toilet wasnt working at all. Called down to the front desk. They sent up maintenance. About 45 mins later they swear its fixed. Go in to use it & guess what, no flush, not working still. Called down again. Its already 11:00PM, were all exhausted. Its too late to change rooms besides that they were supposedly sold out. Had to drag the whole family in pajamas down to the lobby to use restrooms. In total we maybe slept about 3-4 hours, if that. We were zombies & our entire first day of vacation would be essentially ruined by this.Then it was morning checkout time. Mentioned all of our troubles. Not so much as a sorry or any suggestion of getting a discount. Cold & heartless to our sad kids with dead eyes getting no sleep. Then come to find out that the free breakfast offered also isnt available this early. So we will all starve. No time to stop for food, flight leaves too soon. Tried to contest the charges of over $350! with the credit card company. We had a barely usable room for under 6 hours & no toilet. Shouldve slept in a our SUV (Paying $75 a night to park) & been more comfortable. Called the Hotel back twice, both times promised discounts that never showed up on our statement. Credit card company also denied our requests for any refund.This is not the standard of quality one would come to expect from a premier Hilton Hotel location. Frankly everything about the hotel was unacceptable. Except maybe for the shuttle service to the airport, they were on time, got us to our flight on time, very courteous & helped us with our luggage. Assuming because they could see the dread in our tired faces. I never write reviews but this one still sticks with me even months after. A bad start to the otherwise nice vacation. My family had to try very hard to overcome the experience to enjoy ourselves. I have no further recourse for getting back my overspent funds & fees so I am here writing this review hoping either somebody sees it & does something about it. Or at least to warn any weary travelers to stay far away from this Hotel & save your money. Make it known, avoid giving them any more business. They must do better.
Hotel was clean and quiet. The breakfast was ok, warm options like oatmeal, waffles, eggs, breakfast meats. Danish, various cereals and yogurt, along with juices/coffee. Shuttle to/from airport, just need to call front desk. Located in close proximity to Long Beach Airport.
We loved staying here had lots to do . Rooms were spacious for 5 of us they were very clean. Bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever sleep in. Buffet breakfast was really good large variety. Good location. Everything we needed was in walking distance. Staff was very helpful and very friendly. I cant think of one single complaint.
Hotel was nice. New and modern. Needs some color by the pool, very grey. Would be awesome to put a mural on the big blank grey wall in front of the pool.Staff was great, everyone was very helpful with a smile. Anything we needed, they handled quickly.We loved our room. Also liked that the hotel isnt huge. Perfect size. Hotel had everything we needed including coffee and tea bar and complementary breakfast.We are local so just went for a daycation. Restaurants and shopping right across the street. Honestly, we just left and cant wait to go back again.

This hotel was extremely clean and everyone was extremely friendly. It took almost two hours pass check in time for the room to be available but the manager accommodated us. I loved the fact that there was hot breakfast, the rooms were huge. It had a full size refrigerator and cook top. All of the dishes, pots, pans, and silverware provided. There is a laundry room available for $2 to wash and $2 to dry your clothes, only takes quarters but you can get that from the front desk. The local Walmart is less than 10 minutes away and I suggest you buy detergent from there since the supplies at the hotel are extremely expensive. There are local restaurants across the street as well as a whole foods grocery store. There is a free shuttle to and from the Long Beach Airport which is about 5 minutes away. We stayed in the one bedroom double queen suite. As the name implies, two queen beds in a bedroom with flat-screen TV, separated from the living room, which has a sofa bed, flat screen TV and direct TV. The pool is heated, and there is also a hot tub. Did I mention the hot breakfast!! It is delicious and plentiful. The staff serves the food to ensure safety measures but still a welcoming experience. We traveled with to children under 12 so they really enjoyed having a separate TV for cartoons. There is a huge walk in.shower made for two and you can lock the bedroom door for a bit of privacy. Overall, we will definitely book again. This hotel stays busy so book accordingly. Safe travels...

I travel a lot, and frequent a lot of Hilton-group hotel. This is one of the really good one. We stayed three nights (during Covid) and my previous job we used to rent rooms here for one day visitors coming from outside the state.The rooms are clean, the furniture and appliances are up to date, and most important for me: the sound-insulation is very good quality. You can tell just by walking in the rooms hallway how the floor and walls dampen the sound.The room we initially received had a strong smell of smoke, we notified the reception and they provided us another room straight away.The breakfast was decent (fruits or surprisingly good quality for a hotel chain), the food personnel was extremely friendly. Swimming pool was open, reservation based. You are a 5min walk from “the hangar”, a food and drink venue, and from a smaller whole foods market.Another sign of it being a good hotel: the airline crews from LBX stay here!
Room space was good. Phone did not work, pool was under construction so could not use it or the hot tub. But this is a very clean hotel. Breakfast included, coffee always available in the lobby.
This should not be a 3 star hotel. It deserves 4 stars indeed. Not your average hotel by any means. The service, amenities, and property in general were great! My family and I travel very often and I have made them very picky with hotel choices. Ive chosen great hotels for us to stay at in and out of state, so to hear them compliment the Homewood Suites the way they did, made me realize how underrated this hotel is. The hotel is even priced at 4 star rates, so it only seems right to give the hotel its proper rating. Bottom line, loved the stay! Please do not let the housekeeping and front desk attendants slack on their jobs (hopefully theyre being paid appropriately) because that would just ruin the experience. Thank you Homewood Suites for making our stay memorable.
Location, fair. Check-in, friendly. Breakfast staff, unfriendly and somewhat stingy. They acted as if the food was coming out of their salary. The hot breakfast was lukewarm. We had to call up for extra towels and extra coffee at least 3 times each time. The trash outside was overflowing 3 nights our of the 4 that we stayed there. And.......the jacuzzi was LUKEWARM!!!!!!! So, so disappointing. For the $1040 we pd, u wld think our experience wld have been better. 😏
I am a Diamond member with Hilton Hotels and feel as though the quality of service has gone down in the last 3 years. This last trip being the worst. Entry through the back door did not work the entire stay. You could only re enter through the front of the hotel in the morning and was never told about this. Digital key hardly ever worked and upon check out day I felt rushed to leave 2 hours before check out time. Had a couple times where house keeping was requested with an 8 hour window and came back to an unserviced room.
This place was infested with bugs and so was our room. Customer service was horrible! To fix the issue, they had someone from maintenance spray the room down with Raid which made it worst the smell kicked us out the room!! If i could give zero stars i would. We were offered a different room but we would’ve had to take our belongings out and wait until 3pm to check in, not even being considerate of the places we had to be. This was by far the worst experience.
We stayed here and used it as a jump off point to vacation sites. We were not at odds with hwy traffic so traveling worked well. 3 words: Modern, clean, and vibrant. The suites are great and have a kitchenette so we saved some money packing lunches and eating supper. The staff do an excellent job in cleaning the rooms. However we never made it too dirty and cleaned up after ourselves with washing the dishes and counters like at home. They offer breakfast and supper on the first level as another option so you wont go hungry. There is construction going on next door where a lot of small restaurants will be popping up soon so it looks to be even better in a year or two in providing more variety. I was impressed. We will be back.
This was our first stay away from home since before COVID-19 began. When we planned our one night stay we imagine a place where we as a family can have peace of mind, unwind and relax. Thats taking into consideration comfort, cleanliness, accomodations, and customer service. This place is perfectly located near restaurants and shopping center just a walk or short drive away. Lobby, pool, and all other amenities are nice and clean. Our room #261 seemed clean but come bed time I was VERY surprised when I WOKE UP TO VERY PERSISTENT BED BUGS in the middle of the night, which I then found and killed one out of most likely many.(***I also recorded and took pictures of said BED BUG.) I then insisted in searching my children AND both beds where my children slept numerous times in the night and was robbed of my peace. As I lay there in paranoia and fearing of BED BUG bites and the possibility of them returning home with us I finally nodded off. I woke up the next morning with 2 bites and my daughter who had slept on the same bed with me had multiple bites which her reaction was way worse than mine because hers are really raised to the touch and crazy itchy. I gave it three stars because other than the bugs my family really loved the pool and location was great come dinner time . If the rooms were honestly clean and well maintained bed bugs shouldnt be an issue EVER. I find it really disturbing, disgusting, and disappointing that housekeeping is lacking and obviously overlooking things like this, I notified the front desk at checkout the next morning, also mentioned I had recorded video which she wasnt interested in watching and just told me that they had to make their own search and investigation before going forward. Still waiting to hear back.
We stayed there this month on the week of the 14 for 5 days! The place was nice and pleasant.! The front desk people were nice and attentive, the room was nice and clean we had a two bed and a pull out sofa studio with 1 bath/shower and it had a small kitchen and fridge/freezer, it also had table ware, pots and pans, a toaster, utensils to cook and silverware and cups! Even though it is next to an airport we never heard the planes it is pretty quiet inside not even other guests I think we were loud!! We had little ones! The beds were comfortable but the sofa wasnt it was the most uncomfortable thing they had and the wifi was terrible it connected but was very slow and would stop working so I just left my own internet. The complementary breakfast was actually good it saved us $ they also have a little hub and you can buy or they charge it to your room we didnt get any but is there! There are lots of restaurants around as well and a short 15 minutes to the beach!! The other thing it bother me was the day of our check out it is at 12 and we hadnt checked out we were in the process of taking our things to the car and when we came back to the room for another round of things the house keeping lady was there in the room already cleaning it is not ok.. and she apologized but still she didnt touch our stuff and I told her we werent out yet so she left. That is a big NO. Other than that we enjoyed our stay. Would I recommend?? Only if you are not using the sofa!!
Hotel was tolerable to say the least. I had issues checking in requested a double connecting room and accessible room and my rooms were given away due to them overbooking. Had issues with wifi and tv service. Also had issues with AC, little issues kept coming up during trip and they attempted to resolve most but didn’t meet the mark on all it. I probably would stay again if I had too but it would not be my first choice.
Stayed here in September. Thought a nice local staycation was due, picked this hotel for how close it is to the hanger, giving us something to do. The overall hotel was nice except for the type of people that stayed there. Like clockwork there were groups of people outside smoking by the frond entryway, just giving the hotel a bad vibe. The room was really cute, with a spacious shower. The blackout curtains wouldnt close all the way, so once the sun came up you were up, no way to sleep in. The restroom door was a pocket door that would close all the way but then slowly creep slightly open, not very private if youre needing that.
I had a very rude employee by the name of Rhonda, who gave me a false name name by the name of Lisa and later on I found out her name was Rhonda. She was very rude to me when I got locked out of my room because of the malfunction of the hotel system, she she was extremely nasty to me and very unprofessional, and made me feel uncomfortable after I reported it to her manager, and after this day, she looked me up and down and maybe gave me dirty looks and made me extremely uncomfortable and I will not be staying at this hotel again. If I do not have to choose this hotel, she slammed the room key on the counter, she ignored me multiple times when I asked her questions she did not want to help me, but she was the only one there to help me and she proceeded to tell me what’s the time do you want your room key or not? Do you want to be helped or not when I was asking her questions and this was very unprofessional on her end and she should not where you working at this hotel in treating people like this
This hotel looks nice from the outside, but as soon as you get into your room you are looking at what seemed to be a rundown apartment building that was bought out from the Hilton and then turned around and remodeled as cheap as they can and then opened for business. The hotel stinks, the carpet is dirty, the products they use are brands I have never heard of before in my life that contain lead and other harmful ingredients. My 9 yr. old daughter noticed that our smoke detector had a plastic cover on it and told me that she learned in school that smoke detectors are important for the safety of everyone in case of a fire. When the maintenance man came to our room to see the smoke detector I asked him if that was suppose to look like that and he responded really quick and said absolutely not and had the look of I cant believe this was covered. The morning staff is all super young and completely not knowledgeable on a lot of things. My family has a military/govt background so our rooms were suppose to have that rate. One of my family members noticed that she was not getting that rate and went to ask the morning staff about that issue and the manager came up to her and told her that she would need to see those orders. The issue with that is #1 is I did not know that the Hilton staff had a secret security clearance and also worked for the department of defense where they have access to verify whether or not the military orders were legit. Downright rude. Do not be fooled with the outside of this hotel. You are better off going to see for yourself the other surrounding hotels like the Marriott courtyard or other hotels in the area. Read up on reviews from other sites. They will probably help you out in the long run. The only thing that is helpful about this hotel is the location and that is it. This hotel does not change their sheets, They do not do thorough cleaning. This is the fault of whoever is training these individuals. Save yourself some money and check the places around the area thoroughly.
I love this place. We stay here regularly. The rooms and staff are really nice and the free breakfast in the morning is great. You are also walking distance from the hanger which has a lot of restaurant options.
I’m giving this place a one star because the walls and ceiling are very thin and you can hear everything going on above and next to you. The people above us must have a child, when they run, our room wall vibrates causing the bed I’m lying on to vibrate! The front desk person said they would give them a call, it didn’t help. I recommend staying on the top floor, or somewhere else. It’s really a shame, we paid a lot of money to stay here. The hotel is fairly new and the rooms are spacious and clean, the noise and the vibration are just too much.
It is super clean the staff is very friendly, professional, I dont wanna leave ahhh..we usually wipe down a hotel room before staying and we did this one and the towels were spotless...they were considerate towards are families needs.. it looks like a small apartment we love it. From this point on this is my hotel choice.
Everything was going great, in loved the room and even the service in the beginning of our two day weekend stay. On Sunday though I needed a late check out they failed to accommodate me after I had two nights booked for a bridal shower for my sister that is from Arizona. I felt they could have extended a late check out for me. I was only requesting till 1:30pm. After spending 500 plus dollars, Never again. The front desk lady Jackie ought to be ashamed of herself!!!!
Great hotel, its kind of weird having a Homewood suites and Hampton inn together. But the room was really nice. Very modern and clean lines. The staff was very friendly and professional. The breakfast in the morning was great! It was not too busy and the food selection was great.
We really enjoyed our stay. We were there 3 days, doing today things around Long Beach and vicinity. Its pretty centrally located and had stores and things close enough that you dont have to make long trips unless you want to. Breakfast was typical but good. Nice pool and hot tub too. A bit noisy but that was because we were apparently right below a family of kangaroos having jumping contests. Would absolutely stay there again if we were having around Long Beach.
Overall good experience. Room was awesome, even had a ceiling fan. Not happy about $12/day parking fee. This parking lot has more than enough spaces and its not in an area in which random people would park there. Thats just another ploy to get our dollars. Plus, I was threatened with towing my car, even though the parking permit was clearly displayed on the dash.
Internet kind of sucks, but everything else is great! These rooms are like suites, you get 2 queen beds, couch and a sofa, flat screen tv, full size kitchen with full size fridge and stove + dishwasher. Big shower bathroom and closet. Plus a convertible desk/dinner table. Love these rooms.
Really nice hotel - great location - really nice staff. No housekeeping currently of course, unless you will be out of your room for 7 hours - and breakfast is served for you - but definitely a nice place. Would definitely stay there again!

Incredible suite. Very comfortable bed and the AC is perfect. From 5-7pm they have free beer and wine in their lounge. They also have free breakfast from 6-9am. Their pool and jacuzzi are very nice.. They have free pool inflatables one can use as well. Definitely recommend staying here if youre coming to Long Beach.
Absolute disaster...especially for the price. Bathroom had not been restocked before arrival, 10 min on hold waiting to talk to the front desk. Carpet in the bedroom was so wavy it is a trip hazard and the phone in the sitting area was out of order. No urgency to fix any of this
Clean nice room. Pool was great. Has guest laundry. Breakfast was awesome.
Hotel was great for a family. Plenty of places for family to play. Lots of nearby food choices. Only downside was our room didnt feel as clean as it should have been when we checked in. I would expect a room that has to be clean and sanitized to be a bit more clean.

Great place for families. My wife and I stayed here for ten days and really enjoyed your stay. The complimentary breakfast was very convenient and we really enjoyed the happy hour they provide during the week. We spent many hours in the pool area burn off some energy before bed time. The rooms are very clean and new. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would recommend this hotel for a vacation stay or for staycation. The only thing it was missing was a bar.
Items were stolen from our room. Management was kind enough to look into it but issue was not resolved. items including money never left the room and somehow are missing. Good Service very welcoming but someone here has sticky fingers, please like our privacy was invaded. Wont be staying here again. Make sure you guys dont leave money out here!
Use to be up to Hilton Standards but has fallen dramatically since last year. Holes in sheets, sofa very dirty, chair in dining area of room were somewhat spoiled and people large groups of families seem to be living in the hotel. Late pool parties outside and lounging on the grass.People upstairs moved furniture all night every night.We couldnt figure out what they were doing.
I was so impressed! When we pulled in they had reserved parking for diamond members directly in front. They staff was friendly and the rooms are really nice, updated and clean. They aim to make your stay as easy and comfortable as possible. I felt they went above and beyond many other hotels. I would stay here again absolutely. Close to the airport and plenty of food, shops, entertainment. Lovely stay!
Worked perfectly for our visit. Glad for breakfast in the morning plus lots of coffee needed when needed. Simple access to and from. There spa needs non chlorine shock treatment once a day. Pool was cloudy either pH is high or Filters need cleaning.
We had a great stay. The hotel staff was very accommodating - special thanks to Jacquie. The room was perfect, up to Hilton standards. We had a 1 bdrm 2 queen room, it had a spacious shower and the livingroom/kitchen was perfect for our weekend getaway. The breakfast was stocked and had many choices. We didnt get to make it to the night reception. I would def stay again.
I didnt take a picture of the room but stayed here on a Friday night. Got a good deal though Priceline, needed a larger room so I decided to pay the extra and stay in something a little nicer. The room is wide open with no dividing wall, only the bathroom and kitchen are separated by a wall.The room had double queen beds and another pull out couch bed so you could easily sleep a few people comfortably. Full size fridge with freezer, coffee/tea pot, full bathroom with a large shower (no tub but I dont take baths) free breakfast and free parking. The room was clean and roomy, the staff was friendly and helpful. Full gym, large pool, laundry room, I think it literally had everything.I would definitely stay here again, this may be my go to hotel for the future.Even the other people staying there were pleasant.
Great place to stay if you have a family or want to be able to mix eating out with some self catering. No restaurant at hotel but kitchens in room allow simple meals to be produced as no oven. Big fridge freezer microwave and hot plates. Good laundry on first floor and as hotel is new rooms are clean well equipped with big walk in shower and comfortable sofa. Good gym an outdoor pool with self cook Barbie area. Breakfast is good and the meet and greet plates provided Mon to Thurs with wine or beer are a nice touch. Parking a little expersive at $11 a night but it is cc TV monitored. Good seafood and other eating facilities just over road and two decent bars in walking distance (around half a mile ) .
Excellent sized room for an extended stay. Fridge, dish washer, electric two burner stove top, plates and utensils included. Modern amenities and shopping near by.
Stayed here one night before catching an early flight out of LGB the next morning. Hotel was very clean and comfortable and the hotel shuttle was very prompt both in picking me up from the airport (after I dropped off a rental car the night I checked in) and in the morning getting me there. Looks like there are a few newer places to eat in the shopping center right across the street from the hotel. Very clean and updated. Would definitely stay here again.
One of the best hotels we have stayed at. Little things like makeup removing wipes, toothbrushes, toothpaste and laundry bags made our stay pleasant. Breakfast was included and had a nice selection. They were quick to get us whatever we needed. We enjoyed the game area and played ping pong when my son got bored. Kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. Conveniently located in Long beach near restaurants and shopping.
Initially I liked this place! But after using their lobby to do work for a few hours recently the front desk employees fail to realize that everything they talk about at the front desk can be heard by anyone in the lobby even at the furthest end! So these two front desk employees decide to whisper as if that was going to help. But the whisper was loud and still heard. female employee: shes still here. Do you know her? Male employee: no and whispers more gossip to the female employee. I really liked their customer service and professionalism until this happened. Have some respect you two working the night shift tonight. If youre going to gossip about guests and visitors do it behind closed doors.
Amazing hotel!!!!Yummy breakfast with new menu for each day of the week, pool and hot tub as clean as could be and clean area around too, nice clean rooms and bathroom. Staff are lovely and will give you everything you need and want whether it gets too you in two minutes or a hour. You should go here for sure 100% recommend!!!!!!!!!!
Im sorry but this place is a huge NO, for me.I was checked into room 464, initially, and the refrigerator needed cleaning, as well as, the pillowcases needed to be changed.Later that evening I saw a roach in the window sill of the sitting room, so they switched me to room 460.That room needed cleaning too, and there was a roach in that room also (in the bathroom), when I got up in the morning.There was trash left along the hallways, which greatly contributed to the roaches.They also charge for parking. Wi-Fi is free.The manager, Jenifer, was very nice, apologetic and accommodating. She made me feel like she cared and that, for me, is very important.The pluses of this place; near restaurants, Starbucks and Whole Foods.
I checked into this hotel on the 7th and checked out on the ninth. the very next day I called because I left a very important work related item there. I was placed on hold when I called and nobody came back to the phone. Finally when someone answered they asked what I was waiting for after I already explained that I had been there and left an item there if they can check for me to make sure that the item is still there. I ask about their policy in regards to how long they take before they throw something away, they informed me that it was well over 30 days. The individual then said I will take a look but may I call you back? I then said yes and gave them my number yet I didn’t receive a call for four days. I decided to go back up to the hotel. When I went up there I spoke with the lady and informed her of my phone call and she said there was no notes left for someone to call me but I will look for you now. The lady looked in both parts of lost and found and said there was no item there but she would go ahead and take my number and give me a call because the janitors have a closet where they store everything in as well and it might be in there. I then gave her my phone number along with two pictures of what the item looked like. It’s been over a week and I did not hear from her. I then came here today and spoke to the supervisor who also assured me that anything found is kept for 90 days. He had someone go check for me and they said that they did not find the item. So where is it then? If you guys don’t throw anything away then why would it not still be in this hotel because I didn’t take it with me! It’s not the fact that my item has now been stolen or misplaced, it’s the fact that I had to wait two weeks for an answer when I called about this the very next day and the lack of empathy and concern for my belongings being lost in their hotel. I’m completely dissatisfied with the customer service.
Unfriendly staff at front desk. Manager on site approves such behaviors. Very selective at who they want to hand out bottle water at check in. Sent us to an uncleaned room. We paid $250 per night and deserve better service than this. Nice and new hotel but dont expect to have friendly service.
First I need to commend Susie and Anahi in the guest reception hour for making our stay with triplets so relaxing. They made sure the kids had a tv on with cartoons so we could enjoy a relaxing complimentary drink and snacks. The hotel was gorgeous,showers were huge walk in and the beds were so comfy. The reception hour was more than veggies,chips and dips it was more like a full meal.Don’t miss staying at this place!

Very nice, modern, clean rooms but there is some room for improvement. 1st of all the cell service here is terrible, I could not make phone calls and text would rarely go through, even on the spotty WiFi it was really tough to get work done and that was a big issue for me. Secondly the front desk could really use some more people and training. I’m not exaggerating when I say at least 10 times during my stay I went to the front desk and no one was there and they weren’t picking up their phone. The location is good, close to the airport and lots of dining, shopping. I wish they had a lounge or restaurant on site. Breakfast and happy hour was okay. I wouldn’t stay here again however due to the cellular/WiFi issue.
One of the best hotels in the Long Beach area. Kudos to all the housekeepers who have cleaned my messes and provided me with some of the best service in the industry. Ive seen lots of hotels and dealt with plenty of hotel staff members throughout the country and the employees and the service provided in this particular establishment remain among the top ten in the United States. A home away from home, the Homewood Suites have become one of my favorite places to spend the night.
I fly into Long Beach airport once a month and the Hilton is conveniently close. The staff are so helpful and professionally courteous. The rooms are clean and the maid service excellent. The complimentary breakfast buffet is nice.
Im staying in the Hampton side (one building, two brands). This facility just opened last week and is still somewhat under construction.The good: price, decent location, reasonably sized rooms, decent bathroom. Ill even give them a pass on the $10 self-parking; that may be common in this area. The staff is friendly and working on their scripts.The bad: No diamond parking. I wouldnt call the room clean; there are chunks of spackle and drywall dust under the bathroom sink. You can pretty clearly see where they ran a mop and where they quit. Theres debris on the furnace, as well.The terrible: The guest at the desk when I checked in told the clerk shed stepped on a needle in the room (I suspect this was a staple from the carpet). Shes also a diamond member, and all she got from the clerk was, Oh, Im sorry; I thought we got all of those. He didnt ask if she needed medical attention or offer to have the room checked (or give her a different one); he didnt imply in any way that this was a concern. It should be; theres one sticking up in my room, too.And, while this isnt all their fault (CA requires some of this), the nightstand lights are on vacancy sensors. I hope you dont like to read in bed, because they turn off after two minutes, and the sensitivity is so low you have to physically get out of bed to get the lights back on. Its BAD. The desk lamp is the same way; it turned off on me with a spoonful of soup halfway to my mouth (pro tip: the TV isnt on a vacancy sensor; plug the desk lamp into that circuit). In case you think theyre just trying to be environmentally friendly, the night light in the bathroom (the one thats on 99% of the time) is an incandescent energy suck, so theyre not. And since its dark out at 5pm right now, theres nowhere for me to go work that stays lit unless I want to hang out in the lobby. It should be mentioned that the HVAC is on a vacancy sensor, too, so it shuts off while Im working and while I sleep.) I have stayed in multiple hotels in CA and NEVER had it this bad. Maybe I need to stay at older hotels. Again, when I brought this to the attention of the staff, I basically got a shrug.Are these problems fixable? Sure. But the first step to fixing them is acknowledging them, and the staff wont even do that. If I could find another property, Id check out tomorrow. At the very least, give this property six months or a year to get their act together. In that time, I assume other patrons will find the rest of the staples/needles in the carpet - hopefully not the hard way.
My review is based on a couple of factors regarding check-in and cleaning. After I checked in on line I called the hotel because the Hilton app had the wrong credit card and was hoping to change it to the one on the reservation. Whomever I talked to made it seem that I could not change it over the phone but I had to call Hilton Honors. He also stated that the other credit card I wanted to use per my profile was expired. I was looking at my profile and it said no such thing so I have no idea what they were looking at. After several exasperating minutes trying to change the card with him I gave up and called Hilton. Suffice it to say they called the hotel because what they saw was correct and then conferenced me in. They changed it but it was a total waste of my time since they could have done that in the first place.As for the hotel its pretty nice but the parking spaces are a bit tight plus the floor and walls seem a bit thin. I could hear the person walking above me and next door. Lighting was excellent and bright plus the water came out nice and hot. Unfortunately there seems to be a slight ant issue coming in from the pipes in the kitchen and bathroom. It Quieted down after a day or so. When Im on the road I really enjoy it to find that my room has been cleaned upon my return but on the first day it was not even though I got back around 4pm. The second was a bust too and I called the front desk. They said they would make my room a priority but its 2 hours later and no one. Oh, I hear them now outside but they are cleaning other rooms, so much for being a Diamond member. Anyway, I can only say they are full this week so maybe they dont have enough people yet.I had a 2 Queen Bed Studio Suite. As for comfort, the desk and computer chair were great, sofa was comfy but the chair you would just sink in way too low. The Queen beds seemed small for queens and it definitely did not provide for a decent nights sleep especially with the foot pounder above. Half way through the night I switched to the couch only wishing it was just a foot longer. The TV is a good size and plenty of channels to watch including HBO and Max. The location is across from a few fast food places and anything else is several miles away. Looks like there is a new complex being built next door anchored by a Whole Foods plus a slew of retail. Have to say the gym was excellent and huge with plenty of equipment. The pool area was also nicer than your normal hotel. To summarize, I would come back but only on the top floor and in a king bed.
The room was clean, cozy and attractive with a sufficient number of towels for our group of six people. There were two queen beds in the bedroom and a sofabed in the livingroom. There was only one coffee cup in the kitchen-however, and just a cook-top, instead of a full stove.
Staff were all fantastic.Very nice outdoor rec area.Back of property very quiet from Lakewood Dr car noise.Odd location to have to pay for parking, though.
We had an amazing stay. Very friendly staff, very clean, and the breakfast and Monday thru Wednesday social was nice. I was so glad they had fresh food as an option... Definitely would recommend them

Less meticulous than the other Homewood Suites. Breakfast and dinner was a joke. Cheapest slop ever. Housekeeping was wonderful, the washer and dryers were broken, the room closet doors were broken, the hotel was dirty and un-kept. For the area and price, if it wasnt for business and points I would stay across the street.
DO NOT stay here!! If I could give zero stars I would!! The value is not worth your money. When I checked into the room on the first day, it was dirty. Every time the cleaning people changed my sheets, they were dirty! I told management about the dirty sheets issue and they did nothing to fix the ongoing problem!! The staff is rude, unprofessional and incompetent. There are many much nicer places in Long Beach to stay. Dont stay here!!
My room is really spacious, with many contemporary furnishings; it really does feel like home. Everything is neat and clean, and the staff tries to make your stay as comfortable as possible. L
Best Hotel ever! Beer, wine and appetizers, M-Th. Breakfast everyday. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Staff was very accommodating. Airport is quite. I will definitely be back, if Im in Long Beach again.
Great place to stay, good food, and staff is very friendly and polite, i never have had any issues with them at all, i stay out there at least 2 times a month. I look forward to seeing them again in the future
Beautiful hotel! Super friendly staff. Very nice area. My only complaint is waking up hot because the AC goes off in the middle of the night. I’m sure there’s a movement sensor that causes that.

The food and beverage staff are all amazing! Extra shout out to Randee. Her warm-hearted personality helps make this hotel extra special. Darlene and Gabriel were wonderful as well! The manager Joseph Gargano continued to be hands on and help out the staff whenever needed. All around the entire staff at Homewood Suites in Long Beach California are two thumbs up. I would definetly stay here again! Thank you for being such an amazing staff 😊
Absolutely do not stay here. The staff are uncaring and unwilling to help their guests. Would give a negative star if possible. I called to see if I could pay cash for a one night stay and the rest upon checking out and confirmed we could. When we arrived we were told that is not true and the staff were unwilling to do anything to accommodate us for even one night. We had just hopped off a 6 hour flight and arrived at 10 pm to be told we got misinformation and that there is nothing they can do about it with a blank stare. The boy at the front desk was arguing with us when I never said anything to him and super unprofessional. We were all extremely exhausted, and had no resolution but to stay elsehwhere and never give Hilton/ Hampton ever again. Disgusting!

Good looking place, staff was trying to be helpful, got pool in the backyard, AC in rooms, parking spot for guests, but they didnt changed our towels although we were asking for that 3 nights in a row while we were there....Not very expensive but not very clean either

The place is very nice it was not that bad of a stay. I gave it one star because of the very very stiff beds. I’d rather enjoy a good night of comfy sleep but the wife and I tossed and turned for two nights trying to sleep. The second night I end up sleeping of the couch because my back was too sore to sleep another night on that bed. It would have helped to have a pillow top mattress or something. I sleep on a icomfort mattress at home that I paid over $4,000 and not trying to compare it completely to that type of comfort ness. I have slept at many hotels that I didn’t complain about but this one is bad it served me no justice when it came to getting a good nights sleep. Again it’s not the place as it is very nice but the bed is where my complaint is at. Hope this helps someone.

I made reservations for 3 nights for business and arrived late. When I arrived, I was told that my room was given away. I received no call regarding my room being given away and I drove 7 hours. I paid for the 3 nights ahead of time yet still get charged and have my room given away. The manager and staff was no help either. Did not accommodate in no way. Incredibly frustrating!! I’ve never had customer service this poor.
Homewood suites and hampton inn share lobby and some facilities. As of 22 Mar 2021, all Hilton properties are still in covid cleaning, face masks, and other restrictions. All sterilized rooms are sealed when completed. Room was very clean except for the shower stall corners,, which should be addressed in the covid cleaning. Otherwise, a relatively new property that has been well maintained.
They still blame COVID for not cleaning the room, emptying bins or replenishing coffee, (except by request). Consequently rubbish is left outside rooms which apparently is more hygienic.
Extremely unhappy with my stay here. The first night, we asked for pillows, never got them. That same night, the back window of our car was shattered. All they did was file a claim and they couldn’t even give us a copy. The next night, our friends car was broken into and they stole the third seats in their Escalade. They did not have cameras monitoring the parking lot either. The manger said, “It is very unusual that two guests staying together both had their cars broken into.” Not sure what he was trying to imply by saying that. Extremely rude. I would not recomend staying here.
We got in early, but this was not a problem. They got us all checked in and into a better room than we had reserved in minutes. Yay Hilton!!!!

Wow! Brand new location near Long Beach Airport! Very clean, modern, 24/7 coffee and tea, lounge snacks M-Th, free breakfast. Only issue that we had to request towels one day and request hand towels the next.
So clean and new. Everything is very nice except Im not so happy about being charged ten dollars a day just to park in their parking lot. Otherwise its fantastic. Could also use a guide to hotel services, had to call down to the desk to ask questions.

Nicely appointed rooms. Having a fridge and kitchen sink is a plus. The entire hotel was clean and polished. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Long Beach area.
I went with my family and we had so much fun in the pool. We had breakfast that was offered to us every morning. Cant wait to come back!
I have a disable son so space is a must for me apart from clean rooms, this place meet all my expectations very up-to-date rooms with everything you need kitchen, big bathroom. restaurants across the street. Very open parking lot. Overall 5 out of 5 stars
10/10 would most definetly stay again! The staff were friendly, breakfast in the morning was amazing, the rooms were clean. Very happy with this place.
Homewood brings a peace and tranquillity that is unmatched. At times I forget that I have a home to go back to. The evening social includes soup and salads very fresh and a lovely selection of wines and beer. Rooms are well appointed and clean. Servuce is friendly and parking a breeze.
The room was really nice, and it came with a refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, and oven range. The gym facility was nice as well. The location of the hotel is also close to LB Airport, and LBX shopping area.
Great location of the hotel when you are visiting Los Angeles. Loads of shopping area, shops and food options around. The only issue with this hotel is the fact that they charge $11 for parking on a daily basis, which is not great and too expensive something which should be included in the hotel price already.

Great hotel, suites are perfect for traveling with a family, especially young kids. Very friendly staff, brand new, clean hotel. Free breakfast and weekday evening reception are a great plus.
Worst room ever #243. Its like being in PRISON. I opened the shades and theres a wall, so I went into the bedroom, open the curtains... THERE’S A WALL!! THE INTERNET CONNECTION IS ALMOST NONEXISTENT. CAN YOU TELL... IM NOT HAPPY. NOT COMING BACK AGAIN!
Really nice hotel, great restaurants close by. The beds and the pillows were extremely soft and cozy. Beware: you have to pay for the parking lot provided by the hotel.
This is my first stay at a Hilton Hybrid Hotel. A combination of Hampton & Homewood Suites. Beautiful property, friendly staff and outstanding Hilton comfort. Highly recommend if you are a regular traveler or a novice.
Husband stepped on a nail in the carpet and didnt receive an apology call or anything. Thinking about sending them the co-pay and tetanus booster fees. But the hotel property is great

Clean, quiet and convenient option for a centrally-located stay in Long Beach and surrounding area. Airport location makes the easy LGB even easier than SNA or LAX.

While it shares the same building as Hampton Inn, the rooms are much more spacious. Almost too big if thats possible..more like an apartment than a hotel. I love Homewood Suites.

Do not fall for the Go Green trick. They will give you a placard to hang on your door to deny cleaning. They will promise you 500 points a night, but you will not get the points!!!! Nor will they clean your room!!!
Nice, new, clean. Good amenities. Breakfast included; M-R night, free wine/beer with mini dinner. No restaurant, but surrounded by great restaurants in walking distance.
New hotel, share location with Hampton inn. I think the difference is there is breakfast for Homewood suites guests. Charge for self parking, but there are some street parking. Overall decent hotel.
Brand new. The only thing that is a bummer is that the AC has a motion detector on it. This means that it turns off at night and it gets warm enough to wake up and then you have to go wave your arms in front of the controller to turn it back on briefly. I understand being energy conscious, but not at the expense of your guests comfort.

Clean, wide open lobby corridors, friendly, helpful staff everywhere, close enough (with good planning) to area attractions, plenty parking, not crammed in with other hotels, Whole Foods, Habit, In n Out within walking distance!
Easy access from freeway. Lots of parking. Lots of options close to the hotel for eating. A taste breakfast. This my 2nd year staying at this lovely facility.
Clean and very well kept. The swimming area had aTV and fire pit. I enjoyed myself. Staff was friendly and inviting. I will come here again.

2024-07-01 16:48:52Incredibly disappointed, checked in service was friendly at the beginning, however the toiletries were not filled then when I went to go to bed there were hairs from the previous guest. I had already asked that they clean the floors since they were dirty when I got there. The next day I went to the room just to find the same dirty sheets and the manager had a huge attitude when i decided to checkout since they said they didnt have anyone for housekeeping and they were fully booked so they couldnt switch my room. His name was Marco.

Rosie was so thoughtful and engaged. I encountered her as the shuttle driver, the front desk, and throughout the facility and she was always smiling.

2024-04-02 20:23:59Booked a single room for $250 a night just to find out a few days later there is a mandatory pet fee for 4 or 5 nights even though we were staying 1 night without a pet. Very shady business practice not disclosing this until after we booked the non-refundable room. No reply from hotel messaging system that told us we have to pay this fee so we will be fighting the entire booking through our credit card company.

2024-04-13 16:32:39I am a Diamond member who makes sure to spend every dollar I can with Hilton while traveling for business. The WiFi literally hasn’t worked here (and flickers when it does) for a week despite multiple complaints and acknowledgement of issues from a reasonably friendly staff. This is also a housekeeping once-every-three-days property, and then when HK knocked it was at 7 am and they never came back. Really! Not a typical Hilton experience.

2024-02-28 20:11:19I was very disappointed in my recent stay. I booked a room for Sunday night and was there for personal business. The room next to me was filled with young adults drinking and smoking. They were extremely loud and playing music. Thumping furniture on the walls etc. I called the front office at 11:30pm the first time and nothing happened. Front office stated security came but didnt hear anything. I called a second time at 12:30pm and asked for options. I offered to move rooms as I needed to get rest. Nothing was offered to me. Front office came to my neighbors door and ask them to quiet down the second time, but no other options given to me. The party continued until 4:30am. I finally got out of my room and knocked on their door to personally ask them to shut it off. They finally shut down the party at 5:00am. I got a total of 2 hours of sleep before having to wake up and carry on with my travels. I was exhausted. I will never stay here again. No one at this hotel seemed to care about my complaint or the fact that these young adults were mascaradeing through the halls at 2:00am. Very very dissapointed.

2023-04-17 16:57:03This was the first time we ever stayed at a Homewood Suites hotel, and I have to say I was very impressed! We were only here overnight, but I would have loved to spend the whole week here. I was impressed with how clean and open everything was. We pre-checked in but stopped by the front desk to finalize payment info and pick up a few room keys, even though we had a digital key we used while we were here. The dining rooms were clean and open, and the food was great! Most hotels Ive stayed in had some basic kitchen appliances, like a microwave, a small fridge, and a coffee pot. This was a kitchenette with a full-size fridge, two stove burners, a dishwasher, a sink, dishes, utensils, a dish towel, dish and dishwasher soap, a coffee pot, and pots and pans. The beds were comfortable, and the pillows were perfect! The blackout curtains overlapped nicely and didnt let in any outside light. We turned the room fan to run continuously, so the sound of the heater coming on was less intrusive. It was quite cold and rainy during our trip to California. Staying here was the perfect beginning to our trip, and I would definitely stay here again! I highly recommend Homewood Suites by Hilton Hotels! Ten stars 🌟

The free continental breakfast was more than adequate and the staff was very service oriented. The room was very nice and spacious with a few minor repairs needed. Staff were all courteous and friendly.

2023-09-01 20:00:47Great location for LGB, but not too far from LAX either. Located in safe area with lots of dining options and some nearby shopping and a Whole Foods, we find this location serves us well. Even though predominantly an industrial area, it feels safe walking in the area in evenings, especially if popping out to pick up some food.Full kitchen is convenient and staff goes above and beyond to help in any way. Morning breakfast is included, buffet style, and they try to mix up daily the options for egg and meat.Parking is paid.Used to have more frequent social gatherings, now only the first Wednesday of each month, with free beer, wine and snacks. Rooms are getting a little dated for me, but I’ve been visiting for a number of years so that may sway my rating.
