Hong Bao Kitchen in Highland

Hong Bao Kitchen is a beautiful Chinese restaurant in Yaamava’ Resort Casino in Highland City. Foods are tasty and delicious. It was served in large portions. Recommendation is the Pepper Beef Steak. The beef is tender and well seasoned. Overall, service was good and attentive. But the atmosphere was amazingly beautiful and peaceful restaurant in a hectic gambling casino.

I went to eat lunch with my wife around 1pm on Saturday, June 17th. I got there first and I was seated at the corner table where the AC was right above blasting out. My ears were getting so cold so I asked the hostess Andrea if I could move to another table because the restaurant was about 1/3 full but she said straight NO so then I asked her if she could turn the AC down and she said NO to that as well. Thats when I asked Andrea that I wanted to speak with the manager and she said ok. I was waiting and waiting and one server came and asked me if i wanted to order so i told her i need to change the table so can you please call the manager and she said ok. But Jeff who was the manager on duty that day just stood around and never came to speak to me. I was waiting for about 10 mins then the server came to move me to another table and I met Jeff on my way to the new table. I asked him why he didnt come to my table when I wanted to speak with him and I was calm. Check the camera. Then he asked me to calm down and Im like what?!?!? I am calm dont worry about that Im here to enjoy my lunch with my wife. Then he lied to me saying that no one told him that I wanted to speak with a manager. He went on talking to me like he did nothing wrong and showed no apology. Why is Jeff so rude and not speaking with the customers when he is asked to. I mean the restaurant was barely 1/3 full. Then later, the server or the chef forgot my wonton noodle family size soup so I had to cancel it at the end. The dining experience was horrible and I dont think I will come back because of Jeff. He does not deserve to work as a manager because he is not professional, unfriendly, rude, and does not know how to treat customers properly or nicely. Food was ok because some dishes tasted good and some was not so good like dry.

We love having lunch here. They are always so nice and the food is always hot and fresh. It’s family style so we always leave so full and happy. The food has good flavor. One of the things we love is even though it’s in a casino it’s not loud at all. They gave really good Jasmine Tea!

Second time eating here this month. Food is fresh and hot. Love the Hot and Sour Seafood soup. Also had the shrimp egg rolls and orange chicken. The service has been great both times. Will be back again.

We havent been to this restaurant in a few years. They dont have a lot of choices like before. The food was ok,but it was definitely not authentic Chinese food, and it messed my stomach up.

Hong Bao Very Delicious, everything I have had here is remarkable. Our server who we have had before - remembered us and thanked us for coming back, his name is Dakota, he is attentive, courteous and does his job very well. Thank You for another great Dining experience

At 1100 seating there was no line on a Saturday. Got seated in a booth and not too much fuss when I requested it. The food was great I had shrimp dumplings, shrimp and pork shumai and baked braised pork buns and green tea. For something sweet to finish the meal some egg custard tarts.

You need a reservation, yet I observed less than 10 customers dining. I was denied sit-down service. Front of house staff appeared unwelcoming, never smiled. Waited 30 mins for orange chicken that was dry. Absolutely not a good first-time experience. The prices are high and yet the menu looks intriguing. Nice ambiance. Should l give them another shot? Step it up Hong Bao!!

Worst orange chicken I had in my life, last Friday. Usually their orange chicken is delicious but the last one was so dry it was hard to chew, looked like popcorn. Too bad it was take out, otherwise I would have returned it. Their beef menu is good. They should think about extending the menu, tiring eating the same food.

Honestly maybe they changed recently as opposed to some of the previous reviews, really great service by Erick our server and food was quite enjoyed! Recommend Kungpao chicken and pepper beef :)
