Cant believe we have never been here!! Authentic cantonese Chinese food !! All of the staff was soo kind and helpful . We had the Dinner combo #2 for two and it was such a nice variety of food loved being able to try different stuff. The traditional chicken chow mein soo delicious! Egg rolls incredible! Pork fried rice LOVE IT . And the shrimp was like pillows ! Everything was so good and we cant wait to come back !!

Tried this place bc it was recommended. Unfortunately it was disappointing. Over priced and tiny portions. Nothing really tasted great. The soup that came with the meal looked like dish water and was enough for 1 person. Spent $80 for my family of 5 and it wouldnt have been enough if we liked the food.

Good place to come if youre in the area. I got the egg foo young with beef for lunch and it was really delicious! The server and owner was extremely polite and kind. They also serve cocktails and alcohol too. Will swing by next time to add that to the wonderful meal!

Decided to try this restaurant because it had 4 1/2 stars. My husband was reluctant to try because according to him, you can tell if it is a good restaurant, the parking lot would be full. And it wasnt when we came.But I was hungry and insisted. I should have listened to my husband. We have been eating at Chinese restaurants for over 50 years. You can say we are experts already.Their food is nothing to write home about.What disappointed us most are the portions. They are VERY SMALL!! For their lunch special, they had a scoop of day old rice and a few pieces of sweet and sour pork added to the main dish which is only like a quarter of the size of the plate. Their lunch special prices are not cheap either. And their free soup was tasteless with a few vermicelli noodles and scrambled egg.More reputable restaurants like Sam Woo,Tin Tin, Seafood Cove in Garden Grove to name a few, when you order a lunch special dish, it comes in a plate full by itself. These restaurants give you a big container of free rice!! They dont charge you for the rice.A pot of tea is free!! This place charges you almost $3 for a pot of tea!It seems this restaurant nickle and dime you every step of the way. And they charge you $1.50 when you pay with a credit card!We are so disappointed and will never ever coming back.

I was on the hunt for a good egg foo young since Dragon House closed up shop. Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant delivered! The Pattys were crispy around the edges and still had a moist center and the gravy was plentiful and not too salty. All of the fried appetizers we had were tasty...fried wontons w/ meat, chicken egg rolls and bbq ribs! Excellent fried rice. Cant wait to go back and try more options.

I have been going to Hong Kong close to 58 years . The food and service is as good as the first time I went there. I remember back then the parents had their little baby in a little wicker basket behind the front desk. Now I believe their Great grandchildren work there now. I have beautiful memories.

Very tasty and delicious. However after I got up from the table with another dinner Togo order, I felt my head buzzing. I thought it was just me having a bad day. But the Togo food I brought from this suddenly booming restaurant gave me the same effect on my head after eating it that night. Then I remembered what the owner told me when I complained that my head was buzzing. He said “we do not use msg. But maybe the premade ingredients we used on the food already has msg” I suspect there’s a lot of msg on those two food I ate. Tonight I woke up having a buzzing headache writing this necessary review - in the middle of the night. Msg is one of the leading cause of health issues.

My wife brought me here because it always smelled so good when she was done dashing. Well, the food lived up to the smell. I had the schezwan pork of the lunch menu. Very tasty and tender meat. My wife had the sweet and sour pork off the lunch special which she also enjoyed.The dining room is clean and quiet except for some Karen complaining about the lack of brown rice, lol.I had two knocks, though. No straws and fountain drinks. If you order a soda, expext a can.All in all, Ill be back. Some of the best chinese food in town.

The food was tasty, I cant speak on too much as I only had the pork fried rice and the BBQ spare ribs. Rice was a touch dry but not enough to say you would not go back. The ribs were tender and full of flavor. If Im ever back in Corona again, I would definitely go back! Worth a try

This place looks like an absolute hole-in-the-wall place from the outside, but has such a warm, cozy atmosphere on the inside. There was no wait for a table, even during peak dinner time. The service was amazing. Waitress came by to refill our water often, and checked on us frequently. The food and tea was so delicious. I recommend the Walnut Shrimp and Lo Mein. Check it out if youre in the area and want some authentic Chinese food, not that pseudo American Chinese stuff.

Everything I ordered was so salty the wonton soup tasted like salt water. Egg foo young also had such a salty taste, I could not eat it. The Pattie’s were more like appetizers than dinner. I live in Riverside, but had an early afternoon Doctors appointment in Corona during the week. Searching on-line for Chinese Food, the Hong Kong Restaurant seemed like a decent choice. What a wonderful experience! Every dish was made with the freshest ingredients and was absolutely delicious. Attractive dining room and attentive, personable staff. Taste these egg rolls and you wont be able to tolerate any others; they are fresh and delicious. Large portions and excellent prices round out the whole experience. Im making the drive again soon!

Take all reviews with a grain of salt..even mine because people want to complain. Theyre motivated and tend to exaggerate or leave info out that would otherwise make there complaint rediculous or at least less glaring.This is my new favorite Chinese restaurant. I ordered the Mongolian beef and the meat was incredibly tender, the sauce had somewhat of a sweet flavor presenting an overall delicious experience. The prices are a bit higher but this isnt Panda Express.

Not worth time or money. First time here, looking for better than standard take out. Seated right away, took our food order but forgot one of our main dishes. Had to ask another waiter as ours must have went on break for an hour, I dunno.Orange chicken was ok, had some flavor but presentation was bland. Quantity was just barely enough for two people. Spicy beef, once we got it, was good but again, quantity could barely feed two. Even with white rice, quantity was poor.Initial service was poor, backup waiter saved it. Food was decent but not enough.Way over priced for quantity and service. I can tell where NOT to go for authentic Chinese food. Booo!

Will never eat here again. I live right across the street from here and they charge me $2 for delivery. OK Im fine with that worked a 12 hour shift. Order a $25 dinner for delivery. Gave driver $40 and asked for $30 back. He had no change so Gavehim back the food and sent him on his way.

Didnt even get the chance to taste the food because the guy that was supposed to be taking my order was rude from the start. I had a question about the chow mein and evidently that was too much for him. I left and wont be going back. The sad part is it smelled wonderful in there. We moved away from the Corona area and I was driving through the old neighborhood and what was my first thought, stopping by HKC Restaurant for full round of our favorite Chinese food restaurant. Been coming here for many, many years!My grandpa used to bring me as a kid (WOW!) but i love the food here. When you go inside the restaurant youre greeted in a very friendly manner. Its usually really busy there but the wait is never long for a table, most i have waited has been about 20 mins for a table. I usually get the won ton soup and it always comes in a HUGE bowl and its always very tasty. Another favorite of mine is the orange chicken and the sweet and sour chicken, always tasty and sooooo good!Will be coming by this week now because i just made myself hungry!!

We came here because its my wifes grandmothers favorite restaurant when it comes to Chinese food. Needless to say I was excited and quite hungry however, my satisfaction was not met. There was only 3 customers in there at the time and it took almost an entire 20mins just to be seated. Secondly there was a lunch special that ended on X time which I cant remember exactly but we were seated there 10 mins before it ended but didnt get to order till it was 5 mins after. So in all the service really sucked and the food was mediocre at best. Definitely never coming here again.

This place blew my expectations out of the water. The food may seem pricey in comparison to fast food restaurants, but from my experience, it was stellar. I ordered Mongolian beef and medium spice level Kung Pao chicken for curbside pickup. Someone came out to drop it off and take my card. It was absolutely delicious. The beef was stunningly tender, thick chunks in a sauce that was flavorful and just the right viscosity. The Kung Pao chicken was tasty and had crunchy peanuts on the top. I am very pleased and will definitely become a regular customer for special dinners.

I stumbled on this place on accident while looking for a place for good moo shoo pork.Their reviews were wonderful and the restaurant is somewhat local to my friends house.I was pleasantly surprised with this place! We were there yesterday for lunch,and ordered 2 items. Shrimp fried rice and Mongolian beef, and they got it wrong. They gave us a shrimp fried rice and pork fried rice, we told them we ordered Mongolian beef, so the waitress said shell check, about maybe 5 minutes she checks back on us, if everything is ok, and we told her we were still waiting for the Mongolian beef, she seems puzzled,about it and went back to the kitchen, then came back to us and said 5 minutes. This time fried rice is already cold, and when they finally served the Mongolian beef, it was not even beef, it was PORK!!! My husband got pepper beef, thinking it would have a little kick to it, and the sauce was practically brown water. The rib that came with my combo was burnt black. The egg flower soup tasted weak and had a strange soapy taste to it. For almost $60, we got about $15 worth of edible food. Rip off and not worth it.

They must have gotten a new cook. The food tastes different.They stopped giving out straws with drinks and when you ask with wont give you one. The owner came out to see what my problem was. I asked for a straw and was told theyre bad for the environment so they wont give you one. After frequenting this Resturant for 40 years this was my last experience with them several weeks ago...The pan fried noodles, egg foo young and pork fried rice came out burned, some of the orange chicken was half cooked and some of the bean sprouts were decayed at the tip of the sprouts and black...they also forgot half of what we ordered and tried to tell me I didnt order sweet & sour pork and when our server rechecked her order list she had written it down but forgot to put in the order. I asked for the owner to discuss the service and my order he tried to tell me with the high cost of labor I should expect the quality of the food to be less that up to par...I told him weve been going there 40 years and never been served sub par food before and the cost of his labor shouldnt affect the quality of the food he served or the service and he told me it should...he came and tried to argue with me about it four times to make the same argument and I finally told him I didnt want to hear it that we wanted our check so we could leave and that after 40 years he just may have lost my business!!

They are very strict with portions so when you order an item that clearly says comes with FREE steam rice as a side be sure you see that sm rice if you order an xtra rice and charge you $4 Because they think by combining the small rice with your xtra rice is justified as your xtra one you paid for.
