I think this place is great because the food portions are great, the staff are really nice, and it’s family owned. Although their kids stay there, it doesn’t mean it’s unprofessional. One of the 10 year old’s works the cashier very nicely. The chicken does not contain cat claw unlike the other reviews on here. It is a chicken foot because I have had it alone before.
The rice was not good in my opinion. Noodles are good and the orange chicken (spicy or non) has good flavor. Not a huge fan of the other entrees. Very friendly staff. I will continue to eat here, but can only give 3 stars as the dish in my picture is the only thing I can eat here.
Me and my boyfriend both got food poisoning here last night. Don’t recommend after eating less than 2 min was in the bathroom. Never again!

Moved here 2 years ago and I’ve been searching for a good takeout. Smelt amazing when I walked in and the food was exactly what I’ve been craving! Sweet and sour pork, spicy orange chicken, and the bbq pork will be my go to for now on. Super bomb! The service was good too she was really sweet and hooked it up on the portions!
This is currently our go to spot. We have tried several different Chinese food restaurants in the area and they are by far the best in taste (both counter and dine in) and price. Family owned and operated. Give them a shot you wont be sorry. Also of you want something you dont see in the counter or on the menu just ask. They can probably make it.
Best Chinese food in Murrieta & Menifee!!!! Weve tried other places and nothing compares. Great customer service, family owned. If they are low on something they will cook it for you fresh of the wok.
Moved to Menifee last year and been looking for a great Chinese place and me and my family have found it here. We feed our family of four with $40 and we still have left overs. And the food??? Wow just great authentic fast Chinese food in townWeve tried Temecula, Menifee, Perris and nothing compared to this place. You gotta try their BBQ PORK & WOR WONTON SOUP. Always made fresh to order. Even when they are about to close they cook a new batch for you. Great customer service. Small family owned business. Give it a try.
I will say 3.5 as theyre very nice. The Wonton soup is not what Im used to. The fried rice is good not a fan of egg rolls. Their Sweet n Sour sauce is Good as its closer to a cherry sauce. Overall I think it was fine just not quite the taste I wanted. The price is Very reasonable and parking is easy.

Food is good. However, they keep making errors when charging me. This is because they have their 10 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER ringing up customers.Every time I go in, same thing. It was cute at first and thought it was a one time thing. But, No, she is handling customers cash and credit cards. BIG NO NO. I even seen a crib by the entry that leads to the kitchen. Very unprofessional.Please get a grip on your business and leave your kids out of it. We are paying customers here and want things done correctly.
Food was horrible, the quantity food portion was under rated and pricey. Food was tasteless and ot seems it was leftovers like it was yesterdays menu. First time experience and will NEVER come back again, there are other restaurants around, I want to give Hong Kong Express a try but it failed me. I will not recommended this restaurant to my family and friends and other people. 👎
I went here based on reviews. I’m new to the area. I tried to give this place a chance but it’s just gross. LOL the food is not fresh at all. My family and I witnessed them mixing the older food with the “fresher” food. Didn’t sit well with my body at all. It’s cheap for a reason. Avoid this place.
This place is super delicious. Food is made to order. Egg flower soup is the best we have tried. But everything is good. Service is good. Price is good.
Love their food!!!! It may not be the best I’ve ever had but to be honest I don’t care!!! The owners are wonderful people and every time I go I have great conversations with them. They make a tasty pad Thai. I recommend it

This Chinese restaurant is the best one in Murrieta. Great for when you want grab and go meals, but they also have made to order menu. The food is really good, the service is excellent, the owners are really friendly and they give you big portions. They also have catering, Ive ordered catering through them several times and its always a hit at our events.
Went to eat here because of the great reviews and the very first bite my husband took of his spicy chicken had a cat claw in it(toe and all). When he asked for our money back the lady got angry and said she would give it to him but, we had to leave everything on the table....ummm. That was the plan!! We will never eat there again. I dont know if I will eat Chinese food ANYWHERE ever again! I have cats and am beyond disgusted!!
Out of all the Chinese takeout’s they are one of a few that gives really small portions. If you want a good deal where they serve big portions and the food is way better then go to Cathay Chinese Food in Menifee. It’s really worth the drive and you won’t be disappointed. Need to get there before 5pm because the line will be long.
I travel up and down California and this place has the best bbq pork I have ever had. I have enjoyed all the selections. Family owned and operated. Its just so fresh.
Absolutely my favorite place to eat, Im here at least once a week. Prices are super reasonable. Food is always hot and fresh. Owners are polite and friendly and the bbq pork is TO DIE FOR.

Do not order form here. I just had to leave with my parents because my mother found what look distinctly like a cat claw in her spicy chicken. We complained and they tried to tell us it was a chicken claw, even though it was thick, white and curled down like a cats claw. Do not go here.
The best one around in the price range. There are about a dozen closer chinese restaurants to my house, but it is worth the extra 20 minutes of driving to go here. Family owned and operated. Affordable, consistently good food.
My man steve hooked up the food, and provided excellent costumer service! Every serving was big and tasty! I highly recommend this place.
Hongkong Express in Murrieta CA is now my favorite Chinese food. They give you large portion for the combo price. Very in expensive. Food taste good 😋. I recommend it to everyone. Trust me when I say itsi good, IT IS GOOD!

My first bit of spicy chicken and I got a cat nail toe and all. No joke. They tried telling me it was a chicken claw but I have cats and have had chickens and I know the differance. I should have taken a pic.
We got small portions in our catering food trays-- they did not fill all the trays entirely. Where most Chinese food restaurants that Ive ordered from fill the party trays to the brim, HKE did not. The portions for the food trays were small. The orange chicken trays and broccoli beef trays were not filled all the way. We also got less than 1 cup of peanuts on the side for our kung pao chicken-- not enough. We ordered for 50 people, and they gave us a small bag of fortune cookies. They are frugal in their portioning-- which is insulting considering how much we spent. This school organization will not be returning.

2023-09-23 01:35:19As far as fast Chinese food goes, Hong Kong Express takes the cake. It is the cheapest best bang for the buck Chinese food youre going to have in town. Period. There is not a lot of seating, so if youre looking for something to grab and go or take home, this is the place.

2017-04-26 18:50:34This place has the bomb Chinese food to die for. The servings are too generous I can feed my family of 5 off 2 plates. This place is super clean, and they offer to prepare a hot-table item fresh if you dont see it. They have a tv for entertainment and plenty of drinks to offer. A must try if you like to dine in, smell wonderful opening the door to fresh food.
