2023-05-12 18:44:39Delicious Chinese cuisine! My girlfriend and I went here on a date and it was amazing!HOP SING BEEFSo much flavor and super tender. I could instantly tell why this is one of their specialties. It was perfectly cooked with just a touch of color on the inside even though its a thin cut of meat and the right amount of sauce. Really melts in your mouth.SALT PEPPER PRAWNSLots of flavor as well. The breading was crisp and the peppers and onions complemented the flavor very well.SPECIAL FRIED RICEGreat fried rice. Lots of different things inside that all work well to bring together a satisfying flavor. I especially liked the sprouts which a lot of restaurants dont include anymore.HOT TEAIt was complimentary and was a nice touch. The light taste went well with all of the different things we ordered.Service was great. They were attentive but not too much.Atmosphere was more on the casual side.Overall an amazing experience. We will absolutely be going there a lot more.

2022-11-10 16:06:26I had birthday party with my friends on Saturday dinner. We ordered 6 different kinds of food and share. My favorite was Sichuan style eggplant&shrimp fries. The spicy taste of the sauce neutralizes the greasy feeling of the tempura. The second most delicious was chow mien. Noodles cooked soft and tender. It has a lot of ingredients like meat, seafood and some vegetables. 3babies on our table enjoyed chow mien. They gave food pretty generous and service was good. After I blew up the candles, they brought some extra dishes for the cake.

2022-11-07 19:02:45My husband and I found Hop Sing Palace by looking for a gluten free option on our way back from Apple Hill this past Sunday. We walked in and immediately asked if they could do anything gluten free. The lovely Lana enthusiastically said, yes. She quickly sat us down and gave us the menu. I did not see a gluten free section on the menu, so I just waited for Lana to return to the table. Lana returned to ask what we wanted, and we said we were not sure what to order. Lana said 90% of the menu was gluten free!!! Wow!!!We ordered Sesame Chicken, Fried Rice, Broccoli Beef, and Egg Foo Young. We were stuffed. We looked at the table and the plates of food were still full! So, we asked for to-go boxes and told them we had enough for 3 days! As we boxed up our food, Lana sat the bill down. My husband was estimating the bill to about $100.00. I looked at the amount and it was only $69.00! What?!?! No extra cost for having gluten free food? Thank Lana for not punishing me for having an allergy to gluten and charging me an exorbitant amount of money. So far, we have had lunch, breakfast, and tonights dinner.Hop Sing Palaces food was yummy. It was nice to sit in a traditional Chinese restaurant with the traditional decor. It was lovely. I never dreamed I could have traditional Chinese gluten free food again.Thank you, Lana for allowing me to enjoy Egg Foo Young again.

2022-10-15 07:49:43Love the place. The front of the restaurant looks small, but theres another dining room in the back beyond the iron gate. Loved their Mu Shu Shrimp. Fried rice was not greasy, walnut shrimp was delicious, but the Mongolian beef was on the salty side. Price is reasonable.

2021-11-26 11:33:24Extremely attentive and friendly service. We were seated very quickly and our order was taken as soon as we were ready despite the place being pretty packed. Food really hit the spot, as my girlfriend said it was cooked exactly the way [she] was hoping it would be. Someone who i assume the owner was checking in on guests to ensure everyone was doing well; seemed very personable. When you go, be kind to the staff and tip well!

2023-10-22 02:29:42Service is great - food is overly sweet. Ordered Szechuan Beef and General Chicken, both supposedly 🌶️ - both were soggy and in a sugar syrup.Pot stickers were so overly full and the chow mein was 75% basically raw veggies.Servers were nice and the place eclectic so atmosphere was cool - not cool enough to go back.

2023-11-17 21:07:24The food was great for the price but it was not how I remembered it. It is huge portions so definitely come hungry and even have some left over for tomorrow. The staff is sooo nice and the atmosphere is amazing

2023-11-10 01:29:33This place had an Old School Vibe and reminded me of my younger days when I lived in the Bay Area. The food was very good and about as fresh as possible. Good size portions as well. A definite little treasure in Old town Folsom.

2023-11-12 14:27:21This place is a special kind of nostalgia for me. Hop Sing Palace reminds me of being a child in the 1970s and 80s, going out with my parents for dinner.Hop Sing Palace has all of the Cantonese favorites like sweet and sour pork, fried shrimp, bbq ribs, fried rice, chow mein, paper wrapped chicken, so on and so forth.Prices at Hop Sing Palace are more than reasonable, especially for the amount of food you get. Each meal is enough for 2 people, unless you want leftovers, and leftovers are always awesome!Do yourself a favour and check out Hop Sing Palace!
