I love the Hope Village and stay there when I come for my chemo treatments. The restaurant has fantastic food and the beds are comfortable. The snacks at the little shop are moderately healthy and not over priced. Been a God send for me. Only complaint is breakfast should go until 10am. Hard to get up and get down there before 9am for breakfast (but its free and thats a bonus).
My mother in law was very comfortable in her room. The layout made it easy for her to move around the room.
The staff were very friendly and nice but the WI-FI is absolutely terrible. They really need to upgrade as family members staying at the hotel with patients still need to work online. This is incredibly difficult to do as the internet is very very slow and frequently cuts out.
I went to 1913 with friends that live 1 block away. Food was great, everyone had something different. I had pork chop. Chef was amazing. Plate was served hot, an artistic masterpiece. At the end, only a small bone was on the plate. It took a little time, but we were in no rush and you cant rush perfection.
Everyone was so friendly here and the rooms were very clean!
My own experience at Hope village hotel during diagnoses, testing, and pre-surgery consults was terrific. It was, however, quite a letdown to have made reservations for the night before and the night of my surgery, only to have received a call just hours before we arrived, telling me that we must be moved over to the bungalows because those departing the hospital have priority over hotel rooms. It didnt seem to make sense. The hotel rooms nicer, newer, and the last minute change up was nerve-wracking to say the least.
I did not enjoy my lunch here. I hade a hamburger, medium, no lettice and shoe string pomme fritte. All was served at vastly different times to all 4 of us so we did not get to eat together. My burger came with shredded lettuce, which I cant eat, it took forever to stop a waiter, my burger was cold and I thought they would make me another. They just scrapped the lettuce off, leaving some, re-heated in the microw wave so I had a hot and over cooked burge that was dry and not juicy. If you cant make a burger then you have little hope for better offerings. I strongly suggest you avoid this place as it is not worth the time to eat there. by, Stephen Valentino
Just beautiful. I travel over 60 miles from High Desert to the Duarte campus. I had 2 days of labs, several scans, and a cardiac check-up. Needless I would have been exhausted traveling 120 miles RT. These accommodations are covered by most insurance so please ask your Oncologist for a referral to this state of accommodations at Hope Village. In the evening, they offer fine dining from 4-9 pm and a full bar. In the morning, they offer a delicious breakfast buffet from 6 am to 9 am so please set your alarm clocks. Valet parking & There is a shuttle to take you to your appointments within the Duarte campus. Please plan at least 15- 30 during peak hours to promptly arrive at your doctor or laboratory appointments because this a large campus.
This hotel on the grounds of the City of Hope is a wonderful gift to patients who are undergoing treatment. Theres a restaurant, our dinner was excellent and the portions were large. The room was comfortable and gave us a space away from the cancer treatment. Thank you City of Hope.

I Have only visited the newest restaurant here. I visited for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and so far very tasty. I had the opportunity to see a room and I must say that they will make sure your stay is extremely comfortable and relaxing. Customer service is excellent.They have a variety of menu options for meat eatters, vegetarian, and vegan for breakfast,Lunch and dinner. They are continuously trying new plates to bring more variety to customers. Peaceful, relaxing environment to dine at if you dont want busy dining experience this is perfect.
Brand new hotel. Beautiful rooms. The staff is outstanding! They go out of their way to accommodate most needs. Its a few minutes walk to Helford Hospital. However, there is also a complimentary shuttle service that will take you anywhere on the City of Hope Campus. Masks are always required because the hotel ultimately provides room for patients being seen at COH. In the morning they provide a free continental breakfast...a delicious continental breakfast. The restaurant is also open for lunch and dinner. There is also a full service bar. All around a fantastic experience. Thank you Hope Village Hotel!
The most amazing place to stay if your a patient!!! Beautiful, clean, accommodating and THE best food! Really though, try the butternut squash or the Cuban sandwiches.Plus no drives before your procedures and they have shuttles running back and forth from hope village to amini and brawerman buildings all am!Just do it.
Rooms and staff are nice, but WiFi is slow and we have not had working TV on the entire floor for over a week. Staff keeps making excuses about why it hasnt been fixed-I feel like Im not getting a straight answer. Other than this, a decent experience, and food is good. Some of the glitches are probably due to the newness of the hotel.
Outstanding place to stay, Rooms are topshelf and the restaurant food was an A plus services was wonderful the staffers was professional with Sundries attitudes. And the location is quite and not to far to travel to the store.
We watch the Hope Village Inn be built. During my husbands bone marrow transplant, it was amazing to watch.Now with his followup appointments we stay at the HVI.Spacious rooms and nice common areas, inside and out on a patio, and the continental breakfast is good.
Although a nice hotel its primarily for patients only. I have a daughter who dying from a rare form of Sarcoma cancer, but because she is impatient even as her mother the hotel will not allow me to stay in order to be closer to her. I would have to stay at another off campus hotel which I cannot afford. What is the purpose of this hotel if not just to make it easier for their terminal cancer patients but their closest family members also. Given we live over two hours away I wont be able to be there for her on a daily basis, which is heart breaking for both her and I.
Having been a visitor to City Of Hope for more than 10 years, having a modern, comfortable accommodation right on the campus really helps with the logistics of travel from Las Vegas. Rooms are well appointed and the food is excellent.
The place is very new and the staff are very friendly, nice bed and pillows, equipped kitchen and nice bathroom!But they have serious problems with the Wi-FiThe internet didn’t work AT ALL at our roomWe complained but nothing was done!The breakfast is very limited, could me betterAnd the cleaning isn’t good too! Their schedule is a completely mess!!
Good design, airy & light. Cafe opened. Great for City of Hope clients, staff & Admin. Beautiful rooms w/ kitchenettes. Walk in showers, open space bathroom. Internet. Wifi.Had a brown/ black out in hotel, did not have tv & internet in our room. Intermittent down time on internet. System back up due to Metro Line construction.

Very comfortable rooms and walking distance to the hospital. So nice to have an oven, refrigerator, microwave etc! I definitely recommend.

It will be a wonderful place to stay as we progress through my husbands stem cell transplant. Also, EVERYONE we spoke to was extremely kind and helpful.

2024-03-27 00:45:09First this hotel is so beautiful! The City of Hope staff all recommended the restaurant saying the food was amazing.We had dinner, I had the scallops. They were Devine! Perfectly prepared, succulent and sweet. Then the next day decided to try the happy hour (3-9pm!) The bartender Adrian is a wonderful bartender, friendly and welcoming. He knows his cocktails!Highly recommend this place! Elegant and beautifully prepared food, reasonably priced, and a welcoming great bar.Cheers!

2024-05-28 17:33:50Very convenient hotel if you are from out of town and have appointments at City of Hope. The rooms are well appointed but the beds arent very comfortable and the room stayed cold despite the thermostat setting. The in-house restaurant and bar are a definite, if pricey, plus.

They give the personal space needed, but yet they are right on top of any needs, concerns, questions even medications, or changes.

2024-01-05 08:36:264.5 stars!!!! This hotel was a blessing after my moms surgery. Communication between the hospital and hotel was a little spotty but nothing terrible. The staff was very accommodating in helping to get my mom and our stuff from the car to our room. As soon as they saw 2 guests, they moved us from 1 king bed to a queen bed and a pull out couch without even asking which was so thoughtful. The room had a luxurious feel to it and beds were comfy. My only major complaints were I asked for a blanket for the pull out couch and the 2 blankets they brought were towel material and extremely uncomfortable. And second we were on the first floor and the window only had sheer curtains so a lot of lights came in. The food at the restaurant was a little pricey but absolutely delicious.

2024-01-13 00:26:26My parents stayed here because my father is a cancer patient. They were there for about one month. The facilities are very modern and clean. You can only stay at the hotel if you are a cancer patient. The staff are very amiable and accommodating. My parents did have a couple of issues with plumbing that was fixed and also alarms going off in the middle of the night.

Kudos to whoever donated the money for it and hats off to the staff and administration who have maintained it and keep it turning day to day to provide a well thought out facility for people and their families who already have enough on their plate to deal with.A thank you is well deserved

2023-10-04 21:47:19This place is beautiful. The atmosphere is calming. The restaurant is pricey, but convenient. The room we had was a studio but they had a partition that separated the bedroom. A sweet kitchenette and everything you need to cook and eat with.And the best part is the staff at this hotel. They are all kind and so considerate. Today, I had the pleasure of being helped by Elin, the Hotel Concierge. She was so helpful to help answer and investigate reservation questions. Then there were Carlous and Julian, what a beautiful thing to witness these two in action assisting customers and their families.The horrible circumstances that brings folks here to stay along with families, the staff here goes out of there way for each and every and every one of them.Thank you all!
