Service and food were really good. First time trying it and I can say I will definitely come back. Prices are surprisingly affordable. I highly recommend the beef hot pot.
The experience was cool, however there are areas for improvement. When I went with two others, it was not a long wait to be seated. But because there was one server whom was also the cook the wait to be served a menu and the wait for the order to be taken was a bit longer, but expected with only one person. Once we order the wait for the food to arrive seemed forever, perhaps it was cause we were hungry, perhaps because their were two kids who analyze time differently. Finally other servers and another cook showed up and more customers flooded in. As we cooked our meat, we discussed flavors. The taste of the broth was tasty. Not salty at all. The meat was decent, broccoli overcooked, the noodles were yummy. Overall it turned into a good experience but I couldnt justify the price of it, compared to my other favorite ramen place this place was a tad bit pricey. I suppose thats the DIY aspect that made it cost more. Try it if you want, but I doubt Ill be coming back anytime soon.

This may not be a suprise to you that I had to try the only hot pot restaurant in Bakersfield.Location: 5 star - Right in the heart of down town, Bakersfield doesnt get classier than this hip hot spot. Their neighbors are remodeling what send to be a bar and have a construction mess.Vibe: 3 star - Honestly, they could put a barrier like planters down the center to break up the disagree and help customers feel more secluded.Service: 4 star - Waitress was kind and cool. She addressed us promptly and adhered to our tasteful preferences.Food: 3 star - Every dish except the lamb had corn. Not very traditional. Portion sizes were perfect though.
Its kinda small inside, the prices range from $15 to $25, but its an interesting way to dine in the downtown area. They light the pots with a jelly like substance, and the food is pretty good. My only gripe is that of all the times ive gone here and ask for the lobster pot, they absolutely never ever have lobster in stock. Never. Never. Makes me question if this is fake advertisement to lure customers.
Great experience and friendly staff. The food was amazing especially when adding a noodle to eat the broth with. One hot pot definitely feeds two people, so the price of the hot pots are perfect for people on a budget. However, the cheaper pots are probably the way to go because the lobster over cooks and becomes tough. The beef is excellent with XO sauce.
1.29.2022 - ordered Mixed Hot Pot.. its okay.. We thought it is a little over priced for the content in the pot. They offer 3 sauces but we were told they ran out of XO sauce.. really?Would I go back? No. I was hungry after a few hours.Unless they add more food in the pot.Service however they were friendly.
Edit: its after covid and we finally got to eat here and it was great its a nice spot to go out with friends and its great for the winter time I recommend coming my soup was okay I had the seafood hotpot but my partner had the mixed soup and he loves it so I recommend the mixed hotpot! Cant wait to come back Im glad I decided to come back after what happened to us last time because of how packed it was. Cant wait to come back again!Were trying to sit here patiently however I cant forgive the slow service, it has been 25 minutes since weve arrived and we havent received a menu. They need to hire 2 people that understand how to seat people to make sure everyone gets served accordingly, because currently this one waitress doesnt know where shes going. I suggest they get two people working one as a host and one as a server they can split the work up between them by having one seat and take drink orders and the other focusing only on food orders and delivering food. As I am writing I waited five more minutes and decided 30 minutes was all I could handle waiting and left I wont be coming back for a while I really hope they can fix the issues here and Ill change my review once I see they did. I will say it smelled really yummy though.
I just did a doordash here, and this place smells amazing and the food is very good looking. I think I need to try some food from the spot, but also the order I picked up was huge and was going to a place that doesnt need to order Chinese from this far. So I have a feeling that this spot is amazing. Its just a feeling, didnt eat here. But the service was good the food look great the place wasnt super busy and it has a great location. To be continued
I am so disappointed because we were so excited for this place. We have wanted to try since before it opened and finally had the opportunity tonight.We walked in and there was one group of about 7 seated, and 3 other tables of 2-3 people each. We walked in at the same time as another couple. They were sat and we were sat within a couple of minutes at the booth next to theirs. The couple that came in at the same time as us ordered and we were able to order within 5 minutes. Thats when things went downhill.The couple needed refills, as did I. The restaurant was starting to fill up. 3 waitress, 12 tables, 2 of which were big tops (7-8 guests). The other couples food came out, no refill offered. The young lady finally was able to flag down the waitress and ask her to get her boyfriend a refill because his hips was empty (and he ate all of his ice) and she had maybe an inch of cola left in her cup but the waitress only grabbed his glass leaving hers and walking by my now-empty glass, ignoring us. At this point we still hadnt received our appetizer (sesame balls) but the couple that came in at the same time as us was receiving their check and trying to cash out.I waited 15 minutes. FIFTEEN MINUTES of trying to get our servers attention, with my empty tea glass at the end of the table, other couple that arrived with us now gone, and finally we got another server to cash us out for our drinks and left.
Thanks for opening a hot pot place in Bakersfield. It was the one thing I missed most after leaving Los Angeles. I love this place. Everyone was super nice and attentive. The place hasn’t officially opened yet, but I had the opportunity to drop in on their soft opening during my lunch hour. I can see this place being packed out everyday.Great job with the build out and creating such flavorful soups. Finally, we have a healthy cuisine in the area.

I was having a rough day one thing after the other and my fiancé and I decided to take a trip and stumbled upon this place. I’m extremely glad. The food was INCREDIBLE and the owner and his daughter made us feel like family. They were extremely nice and helpful for us first timers. I would suggest this to everyone.
My friend and I decided to go here on Friday night.Upon arrival we noticed there was no hostess station. We were unsure if we sit ourselves or do we wait. 2 minutes later we werent even nicely greeted a lady told us to pick a seat. We went ahead and sat in a booth. We noticed a gentleman employee trying to calm down a homeless women who was not wanting to leave the establishment. He kept telling her she needed to leave and would physically slap at him. At this point we were getting uncomfortable and now afraid for our safety. My friend was wanting to move to a different table across the way. When we got up a female server asked what was wrong? I nodded to the female that was just in an altercation with the Male employee. So we sit down and we look at the menu and we wait, and we wait, and we wait. No one came to ask us if we wanted drinks or appetizers. We waited over 10 minutes and NOTHING. At this point I was uncomfortable even being there. The homeless women had now slipped into the booth that we were originally sitting in and eating the sauce out of the container on the table. At this point we decided at that point that it was a bad decision to go there. We both left the establishment and went somewhere else. Definitely do not recommend this location. Customer service needs some serious help. Obvious that they are understaffed.
This is my third time going to hot pot spot and they have not disappoint yet. The waiter was friendly and attitive. The food is delicious and the atmosphere was very welcoming and relaxing. I recommend trying this place at least once for the experience.
Was awesome to try something that Bakersfield dose not have first one to order, service was amazing staff very sweet and comidating to our requestsLoved it all, service was Awesome, Food just as great too.Lobster was Additional cost.So I wanted to experience with a hot pot was I drove last year November 5th all the way to LA to try hot pot this style is different from that style in LA but I still totally enjoyed this although I would have liked to have the meat not cooked as much as it was when it was first brought to me everything else was delicious and Ill know the size of the bites were little big for me to handle with chopsticks I still was offered a fork and knife and a plate to put those bites on to cool down and like bite-size.The experience was definitely a fun thing to try that Bakersfield does not have yet and I encourage everyone to come and try this Hot pot spot. Next time I visit I will bring my husband and we will try the plates they have as well. I do have to say their XO sauce was delicious along with the broths they served were amazing.
The staff is very helpful in suggesting good items. We got our food very quickly, but it was not too busy. Everything was delicious, and it was fun to watch our food cook. When it gets busy, it does seem to be too much for the waiting staff, but overall this was a good experience.
Friendly & polite staff, open plan setup. I enjoyed eating the appetizer as I watched my food cook infront of me to its appropriate consumption condition. Hope they add a chicken pot to their menu

As a Taiwanese, I’m very impressed by the hot pot here! Can improve the variety of ingredients more but it’s still good! The boba milk tea is very rich and milky. Boba can be more chewy.
This is not real hot pot. To get good hot pot go to Garvey Ave or Valley Blvd in Rosemead or Monterey Park. Then you can experience what hot pot is all about. Oh, and they served my wifes water in a paper cup like they have at a hotel coffee bar. For $45 plus?

Amazing.Im not an Asian food guy. Japanese, chinese, thai, taiwanese, didnt matter until this place. This place was amazing, with everything hitting the right spots. Being involved with the actual cooking of your food is actually rewarding when you eat it, and the food is hot when you eat it simply because it was cooked right on the table.
My family and I were there tonight when it was really busy, the wait was average, but the food was GREAT. Glad to have hot pot in Bakersfield.

2022-01-27 16:47:08Went here on a whim and then i found this place amazingly clean, The service was nice, and the decor a relaxed modern twist. A few notches below other fine dinning restaurants in design but this was very nice. The food was FRESH, hot and ignited at the table, the server also gave us directions on how to eat, since it was my families first time trying hotpot. On a side note, The restaurant was surprisingly vacant. My family were the only guests inside. I will be recommending this place to all my peers!I had the lobster pot, but next time i’ll just opt for the beef pot.

2021-06-16 07:37:29Ive only reviewed games on google thus far but this was definitely worth me loading up and posting. This is about my 4th time coming bere now. The food is soooo good. Ive tried all 3 broths, and although I love the spicy Sichuan beef pot, the curry is my 2nd favorite and the regular is so good as well. The amount of food is equitable to the prices. It does tend to be pricey for some, so keep that in mind. Their appetizers like the spring rolls are a good size and their gyoza is yum. Also tasted the orange chicken (spicy) and I dislike orange chicken but its pretty good here. The food sizes easy feed between two people. It does take a bit of time to get your food but its a chill spot that will have you here for an hour or so (for those impatient people). I would definitely recommend this place. Its very clean and chill atmosphere.

This place is so underrated, the food is amazing, our waitress was so nice and super helpful with great recommendations. Boba milk tea was the best, so creamy and delicious. 2020-02-27 18:47:59Love the food here. So far Ive tried the seafood bowl, lamb bowl and spicy beef bowl, they are all really good. The spicy beef bowl is my favorite, it is delicious! I also love the egg rolls, they are huge and tasty. I did get to try some orange chicken the other day too, it was good stuff. Didnt have to wait very long, the food came up pretty quick and the server is very nice. Ill be back to try more. :)

Waited 30 minutes for check. Probably wont come back unfortunately. The staff is really friendly and the food is good but I guess people dont know what a hot pot is and ruined the experience for everyone.
