Growing up in Fullerton, my parents always took me to hot wok. It was always good but now it was the most disappointing I have ever been. Food was not good at all!
This will be the last time I will be eating food from here, after purchasing $60 dollars of food to go.I was charged additional $2.00 for requesting extra chili this is ridiculous, they definitely lost my business, And to top it off the food was cold & dry like it had been sitting for awhile since moving to new location this place has went downhill. Please be aware of hidden charges.
First time here and was very hungry I ordered chow mien, fried rice, beef broccoli, and bbq pork and I gotta be honest, the noodles and rice horrible made I did not want to take another bite, the bbq pork and beef broccoli were alright but other than that place is clean. Also no siracha 🥺
Followed this place from Lemon Ave. Have ordered here every time were in the mood for a good plate. Employees are always kind and welcoming and the food is always on point. Definitely recommend ordering in although the take away is great as well.
Come here if youre on a budget they have good food I recommend this
Ordered noodles and chicken noodles were burnt chicken undercooked never coming back be aware of hidden charges they charge you to eat there which is odd
Food here is flavorfull.You pick the number of items that you want, and they plate it for you.Usual Chinese food, Chow Mein, Fried Rice, Spicy Chicken, etc.Their Chop Suey is not what I recall the Chop Suey with Sprouts that I am used to.Theirs is just vegetables, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Carrots, and onions.Not for me.I was happily surprised at how flavorfull the fried rice was.The atmosphere is nothing fancy.Service was good.I would definately go back there.
I love Hot Wok, been coming here for probably 30 years or so. Good chinese fast food served by nice people. Great local business! I live in Pomona now, but every time Im in the area I eat here for lunch or dinner for sure!

I ordered #5&6 when I arrived home main item was missing (sweet and sour chicken). called and had to go back to pick it up then they gave me a small portion of it customer service is missing
Decided to come in based on recommendations but was disappointed with the cold food AND I had a massive 3 in Waterbug walk across the top of my barefoot where I was sitting (was wearing flip flops) even after having the bug crawl on me was suprised to not even have a discount offered for the cost or a comp on something since our sever witnessed the event. Will not be returning any time soon. Do not reccomend this place to anyone.
Very nice & friendly staff. Never had a problem here, they give you your moneys worth and then some.Everything nis always fresh.Their orange chicken is awesome yummy.
Dinner was great. I had some pineapple beef, shrimp, orange chicken with chow mien and a coke.
When ever l am near this restaurant my car goes on auto pilot and pulls into their parking lot. Most often i order bbq pork fried rice, mushroom chicken, and egg rolls. Love these dishes!
They are getting a little cheap on their condiments giving out any dipping sauces. When i asked for more sauce they said we can give u some extra but you will need to pay for it. They have become not very nice. They acted like they were giving you a piece of gold.
This is a family run restaurant and the food is great! We have been coming here for at least 15 or more years. Food is great, our favorites are the honey chicken, black bean chicken and their barbeque pork. Dont get me wrong the other dishes are also great but I like to highlight our favorites. You should try their food and pick your favorites.
A lot of Chinese food places weve been to serve BBQ pork that is overly sweet but not this one! We were surprised how good it was. The orange chicken has a good flavor too just wasnt so fresh. The chow mein looks bland but actually wasnt. Glad we stopped by during our visit to Fullerton.
Will not go here again I have higher standards, lacks flavor and how can you go wrong with chow mein!!!, breading thick no chicken in orange chicken and the honey chicken. Don’t believe reviews this place is not good.
After reading all the reviews it sounded like a good place to eat. I ordered the 4 piece shrimp it was 90 % breading there was a tiny shrimp in there somewhere. I also got the beef broccoli which was very little beef and a mountain of broccoli. I also ordered the honey chicken it was what can I say ok. I also ordered the wonton soup this was the best thing in my order and in saying that it was just so-so. I regret to say but I do not see myself going back to Hot Wok.
They are more like Hong Kong style, I love it, very very good

17 bucks for a 1 item on each yo go tray, and they didnt filled up the items all the way to the top.. worst place ever. Rice and chowmein dry. Avoid this spot.
I have been coming to HotWok since I was a teenager (over 10 years now). The quality of the food has continued to be so good I make the drive from out of town to eat here. I highly recommend. Delicious food and great service!

I love this place I’ve been going there since I was a small child!! The fried rice is the best fried rice and the pork and spicy chicken the fried shrimp and sweet and sour sauce. Perfection!
I ordered fried rice, Chow mein, orange chicken and egg rolls. The taste is bad! 🤢 chow mein taste like a strong herb taste. The rice has no flavor. The veggies in the egg roll taste old and dry. And the orange chicken is by far the worst I’ve ever had. The dipping sauce for the egg roll is pretty nasty too! 😔
Ive been coming here with my family for over 26 years lol yea its that good. Weve had good times and bad but the good outweigh it all. Trust me theyll remember you its a family. Cant say enough good things about my favorite place :) oh the bbq pork is glorious

Have been coming here for decades... Hot Work is my go to for Chinese cuisine... Terrific food (always fresh) - terrific staff - sizable portions - and reasonable pricing...Peter and Mike do fantastic job of insuring you have everything you need. I have literally eaten here HUNDREDS of times and never had a bad meal... I cant say that about many places Ive frequented over the past years...Always a pleasure...!!!
Been coming for over 23 years!!! Currently drive from Whittier to pick up my Chinese food from here. Its my top favorite, highly recommended by my family & myself. BBQ Pork & Egg rolls are the best here.
A bit greasy but decent Chinese food- Get the pork it is sooooooooo delicious- We just get the pork and eat with rice and vegetables at home. Simply delicious. Dont come here if you dont like overly greasy food. Overall, good food.

This place is a good alternative to the popular fast food specializing in American Chinese food. Prices are inexpensive and very tasty! I mainly go for their BBQ pork and fried rice which is very delicious!

I got two two,item plates fit 12 bucks. Food was really good defiantly going back with my girl. It looks healthy and tastes amazing. The only thing bad i can say about this place is no brown rice :-(

[1-STAR RECOMMENDATION] This restaurant is located in the city of Fullerton, California. I obtained an initial sample of the orange chicken, and unfortunately, it lacked flavor (hardly any sauce). Also, the price for the quantity served didn’t appear justified.

Me and my wife have been going to lunch there for a while now, you would assume that over time there customer service would get better being that beginning to be old customers but negative same ol bad service and today 03/29/2019 the spicey chicken was really under cooked, and there BBQ pork was really dry.
This place is clean and nice service its just that the food is horrible the fried rice is super yellow and has a ton of butter and spicy chicken makes you wanna barf and chow main is nast and the wrong kind oh and one last thing all the food is chewy and some pieces are cold all in all terrible food and the food just sits out for hours as well my experience was terrible

2023-04-18 01:09:20I tried this place for the first time. A great disappointment, the only thing you cant screw up is core Chow Mein. It was flavorless, like a chopped cup of noodles without seasoning. The orange chicken was a 5 out 10. The BBQ pork was a 5 out of 10. Wont be coming back for $10 a plate. The staff while mildly neutral. Their service was okay. I honestly threw most of the noodles into the trash bin.

2023-09-30 02:40:23I use to be a big fan of this place before they switched locations. Recently went again and the chicken bbq sauce was really bitter and salty and the bbq pork had no taste as well as the noodles. The rice was the only good part about my plate.

2023-07-24 02:53:02Short server man is so unprofessional so disrespectful! He had the nerve to go to our table and tell us we couldn’t sit down and eat if we ordered to go. We did that because we always end up asking for to go boxes. We paid for our food so what difference would it be. I went to complain about the server yelling and the cashier man reacted just about the same. So unprofessional. My family and I have been customers for over 20 years. The owner needs to train the employees on how to speak in a respectful manner! It’s a business.On the other hand the Food is great.

Recently moved from their original location to a new location on West Orangethorpe about a mile away… That in and of itself is no big deal, however i having been coming to this restaurant for 20 years and I did not recognize a single person in the new restaurant, and while the recipes seem to be the same the quality of the food was not. The barbecue pork was dry, the beef was bland. I might give it one more try… But it was very disappointing for how far away it is from where I live.

Today the Chicken Teriyaki was really dry and hard. BBQ Pork was black and dry at the ends. The Jalapeño Spicy Chicken had sooo much pepper that that was all you could taste rather than spicy jalapeños. Honey and Orange Chicken has too much breeding. Chow Mein and rice are usually good at all times. I would usually give them 5 stars but not today.

2023-05-10 20:49:56I asked for a sample of honey chicken so I could gauge its taste and freshness. They ignored my request and proceeded to just serve it to me. Parts of the serving were very stale, and had a cardboard texture to the breading. That chicken had to be there for hours to get to that point of staleness. Instead of tossing away the old batch, they mix it together with the new batch. This resulted in the inconsistent quality I received. The taste was okay, but Im sure could have been better if they tossed away the old stuff.Im also not a fan of places that do service charge for dine-in. Its fast food, not food made to order. There shouldnt be a need for a service charge.Lucky for me, I dont live in this area. I have much better options elsewhere.
