Ive stayed here I think 4 times now, and Ill keep coming back for my business trips. This place is really great in a lot of ways:* Its right in the heart of silicon valley, close to tech companies --- so a short commute for tech workers. They even offer a dedicated shuttle for certain tech companies.* They have free/included breakfast in the morning* The rooms are spacious and always clean. Also, Ive been in a handful of their rooms at this point and theyre all practically identical, which is a great thing. Good walk-in shower, good bed, good AC, a fridge and microwave, a desk, a couple good TVs --- the rooms are very well situated.* The WiFi speed is hilariously good. I measured 300 Mbps down and 580 Mbps up with 3 ms ping on my laptop. Thats significantly better than my home internet.* The front desk staff are very friendly* They give out a nice bag of goodies upon check in, including a water bottle, some tea, and some slippers. Its small stuff, but it just feels nice.Also, they have on-site laundry and a gym and a nice little outdoor area to hang out --- and I havent even used those things yet really. Its overall just a surprisingly great place to stay. Literally nothing to complain about with this place.
Best overall business hotel in the South Bay.This hotel is really great. I stayed here because my partner also stayed there and loved it. It is super clean and has all the amenities you can think of and beyond. For example it has an air purifier in the room, Trouser Press for pants, smart Toto toilet, scale, large TV with many channels and multiple lights and charging stations that make easy to work from the room if needed. The bed and everything is quite comfortable.The staff is amazingly nice and are willing to help with you pretty much anything. I shipped products from Amazon and they received and kept them for me. They have a broad selection of breakfast that is not only tasty and healthy but more than what you would need for in terms of breakfast. I booked through at third party site because I had a status there and received a complementary bottle of wine and 2 bottles of water.Lastly, the gym is super well furnished with new machines and weights, and even water and fresh towels in case you need it. Going forward, only staying at this hotel, superb experience!
Excellent all round service. All the staff were very friendly, the rooms had some of the latest tech and breakfast on all days was awesome. Will definitely stay here when we come to MTV again.
We stayed at Hotel Strata over the winter break and had a wonderful experience there. First, the location was excellent with plenty of parking space insight the courtyard. It is not easy to find that in the Bay Area. It is within walking distance to Castro Street, where you can all kinds of great restaurants. Second, when we checked in, we were greeted with a welcome bag with reusable water bottles, sleepers and a bottle of wine! Third, the breakfast was excellent and the owner Mr. Patel came to talk to us and asked for feedback. Fourth, the room was comfortable with several high tech touches, including the Toto toilet. They also have a nice outside patio areas with tables, chairs and a ping pong table. Last, when we checked out, they gave us another bag of chocolate as their appreciation for our stay. Can’t find a better place to stay in the Bay Area and will definitely come back next time.
Stayed for a week on a business trip and had a great experience. The staff is absolutely incredible, super friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. They brought me some vegan food especially so that I have enough options for breakfast!The room was amazing, they really thought about all the little details, such as a yoga mat or a flashlight next to the bed. In short, amazing stay and Ill sure be returning to this hotel
All the large chain hotels in the area charge way more for a much lower level of service and hotel quality compared to what Hotel Strata offers. The staff has been super helpful, offered office campus shuttle service, free breakfast, 24/7 coffee/tea service. Free parking, gym and a covered patio area. Spacious rooms with good quality, clean furniture and very comfortable beds. Highly recommended, pleasantly surprised by the quality of service, quality of room, very large 65+ TV. And loved the model car collection on display in the lobby. Very nice touch indeed.
I must say the hotel is very different to what I am used to in Europe, big chain or boutique hotels. The hotel looks like what I would call a Motel. However it was very comfortable, rooms were great one of the nicest beds ive slept in a hotel. I usually have a bad back, I didnt this week! A plesant 10 to 15 minutes walk to my office in Mountain View. Staff were always super friendly and willing to help. If I returned to Mountain view area I would stay again with no hesitation.

This review is truly overdue! I travel for work, and this is hands down one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. I was greeted by a very friendly and accommodative staff, a pair of slippers, and a very clean and spacious room - with hardwood floors, beyond comfortable bedding (I always request a foam pillow when traveling for work, which they had waiting on my bed for my arrival) refrigerator, microwave, and stove! The bathrooms were amazing, with heated floors. The staff here are phenomenal, they truly do treat you like family here - I actually extended my stay from a 4 night to an 11 night because of how great everyone was! Housekeeping comes by everyday, and breakfast was great, with variation. In a nice, central location in Mountain View/Palo Alto, I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area!
Hotel Strata is a gem! I took my sons on a last minute getaway and chose to stay at this establishment because of the central location, the amenities, and the quality. The room was Huge! It had a perfect kitchenette, an amazing bathroom with extra technology like a towel warmer, a bidet, and even warm floors akin to the Korean style homes. The beds were very comfortable and the down pillows cradled my head so well that I slept through the night! The staff even placed a real baby crib in the room with two cute little teddy bears for my 10-month old son, which was so thoughtful and impressive. Upon unpacking, I even found Yoga equipment ready for use! As if all of that wasnt enough, the hotel staff serves a delicious HOT breakfast each morning that is included in your stay. Kirit, the owner, often enjoys chatting with guests and offering recommendations for site-seeing, as well as arranging rides in their shuttle to and from major corporations for business travelers. They even offer bicycles you can freely borrow for the day to cruise around town! It was refreshing to see such amazing personalized service and kindness of a family-owned and operated business.I HIGHLY recommend Hotel Strata to anyone and everyone! You will be very happy with a great sleep, a full stomach, and smiles all around when you choose Strata :) We certainly were!
Years and years have passed of business travel to Palo Alto, and every single time Strata is THE choice as long as there is availability... Dilip and their family are just the best hosts weve ever had in any hotel around the world, after a tough day at work away from home, theyve always made me feel welcomed and taken care of. Rooms are nice, clean, private bathroom is ultra clean (heated floors are a big plus), very reliable Wi-Fi and other work tools make this a perfect place for my business trips, they arrange drop off/pick up shuttle to work when Ive stayed with them and I think this is standard if within certain range from Hotel. Delicious free breakfast including some nice additional Indian options make this even a better experience, theyll make whatever possible to make your stay a great stay, fully recommended, I wish I had a hotel like this near other offices and other countries, nothing beats this family owned second home for us... I love this place whoever designed the rooms did an excellent job love the lighting the window actually opens it was clean furniture was not old and scuffed up the tv was very large free showtime bed was comfy pillows comfy it did not smell like cleaning products the shower was amazing rain shower plus the bidet was amazing and the heated toilet seat yes! The continental breakfast the best I ever had in a hotel the coffee was delicious Illy or Bluebottle. Service impeccable friendly kind people this is a great place better than five star boujie hotels.
Stayed here for a group business trip with a few dozen colleagues.Wonderful staff that goes above and beyond to care for the customer. They even gifted me a box of delicious chocolate and a stuffed elephant for my birthday.Hot breakfast, 24/7 tea and coffee. Small and cozy common areas.Great room amenities for business travel, I could tell they have put a lot of thoughts into the furnishing of the room (comfortable bed, various types of iron/steamer, microwave, heated floor shower, three different shower heads to choose from, electric toilet seat, shuttle to major campus, working desk, over-bed table, automatic night light etc.)My only complaint is that the room I stayed at had a very strong chemical smell, it smelled like furniture glue or something of that sort. On the 1st day when I slept there, the smell was kind of nauseating. Later I learned to turn the ACs air circulator up and set the air purifier to maximum capacity (awesome there is an air purifier). By day 3 the smell was pretty much gone. I have no idea what was the cause, as my colleagues that stayed in other rooms didnt have the same experience. If it was caused by a new renovation, perhaps itd be a good idea to air out the room prior to giving it to guests.Oh and there is no elevator to the second floor so if you have heavy luggage, youll need help going up the stairs. I wish I had known this beforehand so I could prepare some small change for tipping in this regard.
Never have I felt so welcomed when staying at a hotel.The room was absolutely everything I could ask for - with an extra comfy bed - and the staff was extraordinarily friendly and helpful. This is family run business and is highly recommended.
This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. We went here the night of our wedding and the experience here exceeded all of our expectations. The shower is fantastic with multiple outlets and excellent water pressure. The bed is extremely comfortable. The room is very private. When I went down to get breakfast, the owner and staff personally prepared my tray and helped me carry it to my room. They included extra sweet gifts to congratulate our wedding.

This is an over-achiever boutique hotel! Really top shelf service with all the right amenities, great suites, security, complimentary gourmet coffee and breakfast, and complimentary shuttle service to most local businesses, all at a great value price too. BTW, its a great location too, so dont wait to book, rooms go fast expecially to the Silicon valley crowd. Also. I had a small event here too on their outdoor covered private terrace. Its a nice place for entertaining and socializing with firends or colleagues. This is my go to place in Mountain View, CA.
We had a very enjoyable stay at Hotel Strata. The staff were very friendly and attentive, asking several times if there was anything we needed, and if they could do anything to improve our stay. Our room was a spacious two queen bed room. The wall mounted 65 TV was a nice surprise. The room was very clean, with a kitchenette and all amenities. The bathroom was clean and roomy, also with everything you would expect. The curb appeal looks like a hotel, Dont be deceived. This is an excellent place to stay.
We stayed at Hotel Strata for a weekend. It was an easy choice for me when I seen all of the amenities and the location is great as well. Making reservations were easy and all the information was sent to us in an email so I felt very secure about my stay. My husband and I were warmly welcomed and the check in was a breeze. We loved the room that we stayed in. The bed was so comfortable and it was a dream to relax and watch a movie on the 65 inch TV. My husband loved the heated floors and the shower! I mean everything we could have needed or wanted was provided to us for our stay. It almost made us not want to leave. We love that rolling table which was an awesome surprise. The hotel felt very safe. I cant forget they have access to pathwater refillable stations on each level. I mean how cool is that. The continental breakfast was delicious and I love the espresso machine. The Owners were kind enough to share a great place for my husband and I to adventure to on our way home! We truly enjoyed our stay and are already making plans for a trip in May, we plan on requesting the same room :)
The Strata size has ruined my expectations for staff at every hotel I go to, they were so perfect. Every hotel should have staff full of attentive people like strata. Rooms are affordable but with huge TVs, modern tech, etc. The colors and furniture fell a tad dated if youre into that thing but nothing terrible.The breakfast buffet was decent and a great way to start your day. Dont forget to take advantage of the free shuttle to big tech offices.Bonus: Its located 1 block from in-n-out which closes at midnight 😉

The rooms were clean and felt high quality. There were a lot of unusual but appreciated room features like a bidet, lots of extra outlets, a rain shower head (and normal one too), air filter, reclining chairs, and a media panel connected to the TV (bringing our own movies was fun). This is a really nice hotel for the price, and one of the most comfortable ones weve ever stayed in.
I stayed in Hotel Strata for a week for a business trip and it was a real pleasure! Kirit and his whole family were extremely welcoming and accomodating! All facilities in the hotel were on point and everything was spotless. There was also a convenient shuttle service in the morning to take guests to their respective offices, making it easier for me to commute. Would definitely stay here again! :)

Strata is amazing you wont regret staying here. The hotel staff treat you like family, and do their absolute best to take care of anything, going above and beyond. My fiancé and I are moving from Austin Texas to Mountain View for work, and Strata is our first stop which means, we have a LOT of luggage, a bunch of stuff that we need to figure out, and the staff here made things super easy for us. Here, you are not just a room number, you are a person with unique needs and they definitely show that they care in every interaction you have. Staff members here are patient, accommodating, and very sweet to help us sign packages, answer questions. We can not be more grateful. There is complimentary breakfast in the morning and snacks all day. Their bike rental program is also very convenient while we wait for the car to be delivered. Walking distance to grocery stores. Highly recommend, would give 10 stars if there is an options.
Ive stayed here a few times. The location is what it is, not in the middle of nowhere, a few nearby eateries, a Walgreens, obviously easy access to El Camino but also not particularly special or charming. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Good WiFi. It will continue to be my preferred hotel in the south bay.
Im actually staying at Strata for years already whenever Im in the bay area.Its close to the Stevens Creek trail for running/walking, theres a Starbucks nearby if youd want breakfast at 5am (Jetlag) and its not too far off from Castro either.The hotel offers a shuttle to the Google Campus in the morning which is convenient but otherwise its also only about an hour of walking there along the trail.Service is super friendly and rooms are good. Theres a coffee machine in each room which is a nice plus in the mornings for me.
This hotel is amazing.The level of attention paid to convenience in the rooms, and to ensuring guests have a great time - is really exceptional. I travel a lot and this stands true even compared to top 5 star hotels, I have never had such a convenient room.Examples: TV comes with easy to use HDMI capble to connect laptop. Japanese style bidet toilet with heated seat. Many easy to access outlets which support international plugs and USBs. Rollover table to eat in bed while watching. Switches to turn off lights near the bed. etc.In addition, the hotel has its own shuttle to bring Googlers (such as myself) to the Google campus.The hotel staff is very friendly, and both the housekeeping and the reception wore masks.Favourite hotel to visit in SF Bay from now on.

Stayed here two nights. I had a very nice king size bed in a quiet room despite being on El Camino. The rooms are excellent with well thought of features including lots of light and convenient access to ports and plugs. The seating area in the room was well appointed as well. Patel and his staff took excellent care of us. Please don’t be tuned off by the motel-style look. This is an excellent stay!
I stayed at Hotel Strata for a week while looking for apartments in the area. The property is nicely located near MV downtown and is a short walk or drive away from many dining and shopping options. The room was clean, comfortable and setup with attention to details. I requested an extension of a day and then a late checkout and there were no issues at all. It is a family run place and the management is very guest friendly. A very comfortable and hassle free stay overall.
This place is a hidden gem in Mountain View. No other hotel at the similar price range can offer so many modern amenities. Air purifier, TOTO bidet, reclining chair, fancy shower head, 65 LED TV, high-speed wifi (extremely reliable, 100+ mpbs), docking station, complimentary breakfast, all-day free-to-use micro kitchen loaded with rolls, cupcakes, juices and yogurts etc.. They even have a weighing scale to check the luggage weight in the lobby, and it came super handy for me. The parking was very convenient, and I could park my car right in-front of my room. They offered a re-usable water bottle during check-in, and I was able to re-fill water for the entire stay from the water station in the hotel.More importantly, the hospitality was amazing! The hotel staff were very friendly and they literally treated me like family. They offered help in unloading the super-heavy luggages, shredding 200+ documents, signing parcels etc.
This hotel is fantastic. I come back to the Bay Area often and have been staying here as my top choice. The owners take great care of the property and treat the guests with top-notch service.The rooms themselves are very clean, comfortable and with all of the amenities you could ask for, like refrigerators, bathtubs, huge televisions (and in the bathroom in some rooms!), ample charging stations, comfortable beds, great coffee (Nestle pods not the cheap Keurig) and parking.Perfect hotel: great comfort, amenities and service.
We had a lovely stay here! The complimentary breakfast is great and the receptionists are very friendly. The room is clean and well-maintained. This is not a chain hotel but you can tell they pay attention to details to make guests feel comfortable. For example, the motion sensor led light under the bedside table is very thoughtful. The Japanese smart toilet is awesome, too. And theres a tv mirror that you can enjoy in the bathroom!
What a excellent surprise! Modern, in-room amenities like motion activated ambient lighting, air purifier, lots of AV hookups, etc. The staff were exceptionally friendly and supportive as well. I’m looking for another excuse to come to Mountain View just so I can stay here again.
This is the best hotel Ive stayed at in a long time. The room is very well furnished, has lots of great amenities (heated bathroom floors, bidet, many ways to plug into the TV, steamer, iron, etc). The best part was easily the staff, who were so kind and accommodating and provided the best service Ive had in a long time.

Great communicators, clean facilities, AMAZING amenities such as heated floors in the bathrooms, bidets, pants press, air filter, rolling bed desk for meals in bed, bikes to take around the town, lounge area, work out gym, a continental breakfast and able to provide you with whatever you might have forgotten. The staff were very kind as well!
This place is where you can touch the intelligence, every detail is extremely well thought and planned for all travelers. My congrats to Dilip for this 8th renovation, and to Gerarld for his great service. If you want the best for the amount of money you pay, this hotel will go far above your expectations, I highly recommend it.

We really enjoyed our stay ❤ 😊 for my Birthday. The toilet seat was heated & had a bidet? The shower has an overhead spray as well as 2 others. The bed was super cozy and they have so many cool things 😎. We played Ping Pong and were fortunate enough to be allowed late check out. Highly recommend.
AWESOME HOTEL AND STAFF!!I would rate Hotel Strata in Mountain View, CA in the top 1% of all hotels I have stayed in over the past 40 years. Clean is an understatement....I would say spotless and safe describes this hotel better. Once we checked in, the staff came out front (of course wearing a mask) and sanitized the counter, credit card terminal and pen before the next guest stepped up to check in. I have never seen this before at a hotel (even though this had been my dream that businesses would show this kind of concern for their guests).As for the rooms, they go beyond expectations: clean, comfortable, air purifier, coffee, comfy beds, lovely reclining leather chairs, awesome triple shower heads, TV in mirror in the bathroom, heated seat in the bathroom, the list goes on......including free bikes to explore the area.Regarding the staff, they go beyond extending great service to each person. My husband and I were warmly welcomed and they even asked us before we left if there were areas where they could improve. There’s no starbucks in the lobby but the coffee machine will prepare any combo coffee/expresso/hot chocolate that you want.As far as Im concerned, this is our new Mountain View hotel when we are next in the area.BOOK IT NOW!!!! Room felt like home and was very comfortable from the start of my stay. Very clean sheets and towels as would be expected. If you are here for Google reasons they have a direct shuttle to Google buildings and the drivers are very interpersonal and awesome to chat with. Street noise was minimal and never a concern for me (I live in a sub urban area with absolutely no noise at night). To top it off they have high tech toilets unlike other hotels in the area. If I ever come back to the area Ill definitely stay here again.
Absolutely fantastic experience. The rooms are sparkling clean, the staff radiates hospitality, and the rooms are modern, comfortable, and updated with all the amenities you could ask for. The beds were very comfortable, with the addition of black out shades we slept like babies. We wish we could have stayed for a few more nights! Highly recommend for anyone staying in the area!
We came in late and checked in the hotel, nice property and convenient for what we needed. The complimentary (Good mixture of Indian and American breakfast is great, and the receptionists are very friendly. The coffee machine serves various form and varieties of coffee (Expresso, latte etc.). The room is neat and very well-maintained. The premise owners are deliberately graceful enough to meet and make sure everything is great. Many unique things that cant be unnoticed the motion sensor led light, smart toilet, Smart TV. A well maintained 24 hrs. access to fitness center. There are Prearranged Weekday Shuttle to airport and bicycles to ride and explore.We highly recommend staying there and looking forward to our next stay.
I stay here every time I come to Mountain View. Its a family owned business, and theyre extremely interested in making your stay as enjoyable as possible. I feel very much at home when I stay here thanks to the warm, friendly, and welcoming staff. In addition to the lovely staff, every room is well-equipped with modern amenities to make your stay very comfortable. This hotel provides great value for your money!
You know you had a great time when the after taste of your visit is your memories of the great service you received.The hotel has decent infrastructure and room sizes, but it is elegantly balanced with good service and amenities. If not for its service this would have been a 3 starred hotel, which is now a 3.5 starred hotel.The breakfast room is small but the breakfast options are comprehensive. They also have a 24 hour food bar with complementary tea, juice and other items. They have friendly staff who are eager to take good care and who do if perfectly. The managers are always there to monitor the guest experience.I am going to this place again.
The Strata Hotel is always nice, clean, and friendly. The owners are very gracious hosts, who have piloted their establishment through COVID-19 and somehow even enhanced its creative use of technology. The breakfasts remain flexible and good, and they even provide a large auxiliary monitor in the office area so that those of us who travel with a laptop have an extra screen. I nearly always stay there on my frequent trips to the Bay Area.
If you’re in the area and close by this is definitely the place to go to even if it’s a 20 minute further, I would highly recommend it. Hotel strata is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed are comparing to Hilton or Marriott rewards, I’m talking not about the actual room but all the accessories and the high end options they offer in every room,this really tops it off. The price was very competitive and for the price it is the best room you’re going to find, the gentleman at the front desk was very respectful, and helpful, I forgot my mask so he gave me a mask and also gave me a very nice steel refillable water bottle. For the room the style of the furniture is very retro modern style they have universal outlets. They also have lights that are under the nightstands that turn on promotion so when you get up in the middle of the night they will turn on, very cool feature. There about 4 different lights in the just the bedroom area, usually one problem I have in hotels is there’s never enough light. The bed and bedding itself is extremely comfortable, the TV is probably the biggest TV I have seen in a hotel, I don’t even have a tv that big right now. For the bathroom they have a bidet, The shower itself has three different nozzles one just standard second handheld and a third from the top almost like mimicking rain. In all This is a 5star hotel and I will definitely be staying here again.
I loved my stay in Hotel Strata. Great location (no views) in terms of number of restaurants and shopping. I enjoyed morning complimentary breakfast. Good mixture of India breakfast items and American. The good part that I really liked is even after the breakfast is hour they keep fruits and filter coffee. In rooms they provided a small fridge, coffee maker, microwave, ironing machine and safety locker. The room was spacious.Bonus they also have bicycle for guest (even pre arranged shuttle service). The only thing that I wanted to say if they can reduce the price for laundry machines will be great addition to service.
My husband, my three kids and I stayed here last month (May 22) for a quick weekend getaway. Clean, spacious rooms and outstanding customer service from the front desk. Covid protocols were followed. Due to Covid, there wasnt a hot breakfast offered at the time. They delivered breakfast in the morning to our room (bagels, cereal, yogurt, standard cold breakfast items) Nespresso coffee maker in room. Room has a lot of upgrades. Try the Dyson hair dryer! I was so impressed with it, I want to buy one. Beds were comfortable, pillows, linens, and towels smelled wonderful, clean and sanitized(I smell the linens and pillows at hotels. Sometimes they smell like dirty hair and/or sweat and I wont use them.) I also check hotel mattresses for bed bugs. Their mattresses are bagged! Bathroom was immaculate. I cant think of anything to complain about here. Very well maintained and managed. If I am ever in the area again, I would definitely here stay again.
I stayed here January 2014 and again September 2020. The first tine, I had training in the area for the Army. A Staff Sergeant that was doing the same training had stayed before and was going again and recommend it to me. I was really glad he did. The owner and staff was very friendly. The owner was even asking us about our input for the remodel they were doing. I appreciate that he valued our opinion enough to ask us.I was heading up to Oregon in 2020. I was taking The 5 freeway up from San Diego County and loved the hotel so much I was willing to deviate from the 5 to stay here. They did great with social distancing and COVID. I didnt stay on the way home because it didnt work out. Whenever Im in the area to spend the night again, I plan on staying here.
Mr. Dilip, you and your Family are Amazing. When our daughter booked our rooms, I hadnt known that she told you that we were coming for my Brothers Funeral. When we first arrived, we hadnt even parked the car yet, and our room door was already wide open, ready & waiting for us. I was so impressed with how clean it was, and everything was so hi-tech, right down to the heated toilet seat! But we hadnt been in the room long, before you called to make sure everything was to our satisfaction... Then you told me how very sorry you were for our loss. I was in tears! What a thoughtful, caring gesture!The day we were checking out, you showed us a menu and made us breakfast! A lot of hotels offer a small buffet breakfast, but you had omelets, breakfast sandwiches, bacon, juice, and so much more! At breakfast, you brought over our breakfast and told us again how very sorry you were for our loss. I was in tears and jokingly said “I’m gonna give you a 5-star review.” You said, Oh Mam, its not about stars, its about Family and doing the right thing. As we were packing our cars up, you came out and offered to help in any way you could. I took out one of the Memorial Brochures, telling all about my Brothers life, and gave it to you and said, I want you to meet my Brother. He was an amazing man. You held it close to your heart and you stood outside, until we had all left. What an Honor it was to stay in your Familys Hotel. We will never forget your kindness.
To summarize this place: quality and thoughtful touches all around. Simple things done wellBiggest Pros:-amazing and super professional staff-very reasonable prices-every possible amenity you could need (rooms come with safes, pretty high end mini fridges, foam rollers, yoga mats, heavy curtains that actually block out the sun, theres onsite laundry services, lots of complimetary offerings, etc)-very quiet-great wine and liquor store adjacent, if you need itBiggest cons:-none really, but if I had to try to complain: gym doesnt have a squat rack or a deadlift bar, but like, its still pretty good for a hotel gym? (you could do a reasonable upper body workout if you are handy with dumbbells). I guess the area isnt super walkable but thats more of a general problem for this part of South Bay
Dont let the outside of this hotel fool you. I spent 3 nights here and plan on returning every few months to this spot. My room was immaculately clean (a big concern during our current times) and very well appointed. From a heated toilet seat, to a deep sunken tub,to the mirror in the bathroom turning into a TV, to a Dyson hair dryer, to a yoga mat and foam rollers, this room surpassed my expectations.Their customer service is exemplary. A shout out to Estefania who was so wonderful when I called to make my reservation. She took her time with me and I could tell she truly cared about making my visit special.The front desk team went out of their way to make me feel well taken care of.They have free bikes you can borrow and lots of trails in the area. Castro street is a short walk away.They have a lovely outdoor patio area with ping pong tables and a fireplace.This is a family owned hotel and so much better than the corporate Mariotts and Hyatts out there. Real luxury, super customer service, prime location, and very reasonably priced.Thank you for a lovely experience. Ill be back soon!
This is a crown jewel in the area. The rooms are clean and appointed with plenty of outlets and USB ports for all of your electronics. Beautiful furniture and quite safe place. The staff is first class and you can tell that the owners take pride in this hotel. The coffee in the lobby is excellent!! Highly recommend.

Hotel Strata is a special place. Family run, with the upmost attention to service, quality, and genuine friendliness, this place is a true gem. Rooms are comfortable with all the modern amenities. Breakfast is excellent with a high quality espresso machine, and a variety of healthy and indulgent food options. The fitness center is well equipped and open 24 hours. There is a nice patio with comfortable seating and fireplace tables for quests to enjoy. Best of all, the service is impeccable. Stay here. You will be impressed.
I stayed in this hotel for the second time within a month. Its a great property with large comfortable rooms and great amenities. The location is great as it is a 10 minute walk to Castro street where all of the great restaurants, bars, and coffee shops are located. The staff is also very courteous. I highly recommend this place.
The rooms are outfitted with modern amenities that make the stay quite comfortable. Universal plug and USB outlets at the desk and besides make charging devices very easy. Sensing lights in a few areas are a nice touch as well. The location is near the 101 which gives direct access to both San Francisco and San Jose (traffic aside). To complementary breakfast is basic. Overall the stay was enjoyable.
Booked last minute week very little other availability in the area. Pleasantly surprised. Rooms are upgraded and have everything you could need to make your stay comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. Gym is small but the equipment available is modern. Id stay again.
Best hotel experience in the area. Consideration for guests is seen throughout the facility. Water bottle refill stations, in room air filtration, antimicrobial blockers on common doors, umbrella stations in case it rains, doorbells for the rooms, excellent staff and much more. The rooms are impeccable. They have everything you need and nothing you dont. Theyre very clean and smartly laid out. The breakfast offering is very generous very comfortable yet very functional. this hotel is reasonably priced, and I consider it to be my little secret (until now).
The hotel looks a little questionable on the outside, but when I stepped into my room I was transformed. From the heated bathrooms floor to the comfort of the technologys and furnitures style and usability I was truly impressed. I met one of the owners, and she truly cares about the clients and if anything else can be done to make our stay better. I will definitely visit here again. Oh check out the gym and patio area (hidden) behind a privacy wall. Not many people were there and it was like having your own zen office outside.
Let me start off with saying the room is amazing - they really pay attention to every detail and it’s a very comfortable and modern room. But during my stay, I had turned on the housekeeping button, and there was no housekeeping. I called the front desk and they said due to covid, you have to tell us in person. I completely understand that, but no one told me that beforehand. Very frustrating.But the absolute deal breaker, was that the Wifi was NOT WORKING (on my 2020 macbook pro) during my 2 day stay. I’ve stayed in over hundreds of hotels and never had this happen before. Especially in the heart of the bay area, simply inexcusable. I called them and they directed me to the “internet guy” but he did absolutely nothing. Made for an extremely terrible stay and one of my most negative experiences at a hotel.I’ll be staying at a Hilton or larger chain moving forward, I know for a fact they will have wifi…
I’m so happy I found this place. These guys go above and beyond when it comes to customer experience & also sanitization in their facility. I loved everything about it. We got the suite and it was well worth it! Everything from the heated floors & bidet in the bathroom, the living space and they even had a nexpresso coffee machine in the room! We will definitely be back!
One of the best hotels I have ever used while on business travelling. Room was very spacey, with unique facilities. Very clean also. Breakfast was also very good offering a variety of different options. Stuff was so polite every day. Will surely use the same hotel in the future.

Some of the nicest staff, soooo clean, updated, ugh cant say enough! They really pay so much attention to detail. Wish I could stay here every weekend🤩
Super friendly staff! I had lost my wallet during my trip, the staff reviewed the surveillance camera from the parking lot to ensure nobody had taken it from my unlocked car. We went there with our three young kids and felt welcome at all times.Breakfast area is a little bit on the small side, but food was correct and coffee actually quite good. They do have a nice serving with of fruits and other snacks and beverages offered for free 24/7.Parking was easy and not a problem. Rooms with small kitchen very convenient, especially with the young kids.
Wonderful boutique hotel with incredible hospitality and the best in-room perks. (Yoga mat, foam roller, heated bathroom floor, and bidet!) They truly care about their customers. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Mountain View.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room I was in was clean, spacious, and gorgeous. I absolutely love the TV and the restroom. I highly recommend this hotel and I will be coming back. 5 out of 5!
Sincerely think this is one of my favorite hotels. My room is pretty big for a single, but has every amenity I could wish for - huge TV, mini-kitchen, desk with ergonomic chair. It also has an assortment of amenities I didnt know were even on the table - motion sensors that light the floor when you walk to the bathroom at night, blackout curtains, a rolling table that fits over the bed. Add in free wifi, hot breakfast, and free food all day in the lobby, and you get an incredibly nice stay. I highly recommend this hotel.
I have stayed at this hotel twice for interviews and have to say that it offers unparalleled convenience and luxury. Bidets in every room in which I have stayed. Quality televisions. Work desks for working in bed. High speed wifi for all your needs as a tech person. Late night coffee when you wander back after going out on Castro Street nearby. Complimentary shuttle to Google. Rooms so clean you could eat off the floors. I cant say enough good about this place. I have had extended conversations with the hotel manager during shuttle rides about what they are doing to bring to hotel to the next level. The owners and management are committed to making this THE place to stay in the area, specifically for tech folks traveling for business or interviews. I have never in all my travels seen a place more committed to providing the best hotel stay and catering to the typical clientele who stay here. It is undoubtedly the ONLY place I would ever stay when in this area. It has no competition in my book. The Hotel Strata and its amazing staff will ensure that your stay is second to none and that you are not disappointed.
The room was very clean and comfortable. They have fancy toilet and very nice shampoo and conditioner, etc from Elemis. The front desk promptly asked if I needed slippers and toothpaste, as well as offered water with reusable bottle, super friendly staffs.
Excellent hotel, my go-to hotel on every visit to the valley for years.Amazing stuff, and well equipped rooms, from large TVs with a console to allow easy connection to a laptop, through international electric sockets to microwave a refrigerator and even a bidet seat. Rooms are also well-lit, with ceiling spot lamps, a too uncommon experience in American hotels.They also make a true effort to improve further, and recently added Nespresso machines in every room, replacing the terrible drip machines.
Best hotel my family and I ever been to. The technology is incredible, everything very perfect. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast flexible. There were patios where you could sit and eat. If I came to Mountain View again, I would definitely stay here.

ImpressedThis is such a cute hotel. Its right on El Camino so walking distance to places to grab a bite to eat.Coffee and fruits in the lobby available all day - big plus!Gladys greeted us and she is a sweetheart. Funny too. She checked in on us within 5 minutes to make sure the room was good which it was.We stayed in a regular king sized room. It was clean, modern and nicely appropriated with a pull out couch flat screen, clothes press, fridge, safe, and bath amenities. Nice roomy shower too.Bikes are also available for guests to use. Love that!
This hotel is the best hotel Ive ever been in, hands down. The hotel had 2 great beds, a huge room and TV, great seating and service. The hotel had a great bathroom with heated floors and a fantastic mirror. There was a bunch of other small details that made the hotel fantastic.
The rooms are very nice, great furnitures, including a desk, large bed, a small kitchen (microwave, fridge and coffee machine), a large TV... Everything you could need in a hotel room. The room service is on point, everything is perfectly clean. I had a noise issue, the team offered me to change room really fast, definitely a wonderful service.Thanks for answering so quickly, Ill definitely stay here again if Im back in the area!

I love love love this hotel. The service is top notch, very accommodating to my needs and extremely friendly. Their staff is genuinely concerned about my well being, always asking if I needed anything and if/when I do - they were on it! They even picked me up and dropped me off at local places on the wknds.The complimentary breakfast is more than just baked goods; they have eggs, bacon, sausage, bakes goods, all kinds of cereals, fruits, yogurt and even soy milk!The bed and bedding is delightful - maybe even better than what I have at home. Rooms are clean and very comfortable.I cannot say enough about Hotel Strata. I will not stay anywhere else when Im in Mt. I was initially thrown by the outward appearance of the hotel but Im so glad Ive had the chance to stay here! The staff have all been kind and helpful, the breakfast is surprisingly extensive, and the rooms have so many amenities! I had the chance to meet the owner who was very gracious and genuinely cared how our stay was going!
Just got back from 5 days at this Hotel and loved it. It was my first time here but all my colleagues warmly recommended. When I arrived I was not really sure since it really looks like a motel but the interior and staff is better than any 5-star Hotel. So much thinking went into the rooms: beautiful design, fire place, floor heating, rain shower, perfectly comfortable bed and a free shuttle to the office :)Downtown is only 20min walking with plenty of restaurants and shops.Thank you, I will be back!

Very good hotel in mountain view, the staff is super attentive and the breakfast is good. Rooms include a very large TV, the bathroom is food and they are generally well cleaned. There is also a desk if you are into working. They have very good WiFi. I stayed in many hotels in the bay area and this is the one I would recommend the most.
I recently stayed at this Hotel for around two days for the purpose of attending my interview at Google. I was very much impressed by the hospitality, modern arrangements at room, pleasantness and helpful nature of staff, great suggestions regarding vegetarian food availability in its vicinity, nice parking, breakfast availability and so on.I found it really safe and best place to stay. I would obviously love to visit again. The manager here gives great attention in making the visitors journey as great as possible. I am very grateful to Googles scheduling team for providing me such a nice stay.I highly recommend this hotel anytime.
I cant recommend Hotel Strata enough. The staff are so helpful and welcoming, and I enjoyed chatting with them on the well organised shuttle run between the hotel and Google offices. The room was spotlessly clean and lovely, with a number of luxurious touches (heated toilet seats, TV in the bathroom, good hotel toiletries, restocked water bottles each day). I was very sad to leave as it felt like home away from home, but I look forward to returning.

This was one of the best hotels Ive ever stayed at. Breakfast was varied and delicious, with great coffee, with a greater variety than your standard continental breakfast. (Im happy to see miso soup as a breakfast offering, for example.) Part of the breakfast bar was open 24 hours, and included fresh baked cookies when we returned late at night. The rooms themselves were great, with plenty of thoughtful touches. The over the bed rollout desk was nice, as was having USB ports just above the nightstands. There was even motion activated nightlights under the night stand. Of special note was the bathroom - it has a Japanese-style bidet, and heated flooring. Pretty great. Service was warm and thoughtful as well. We received helpful directions from the front desk, and the owner asked after our experiences at the hotel. Its very clear that they care a lot.

Good place for business travel. Room was quiet, very comfortable. Place was obviously overhauled, but pulls off the modernized, reclaimed look quite nicely. Though rooms open directly to the outside, there is a security gate, so place feels safe. Snacks were fresh and plentiful in lobby, staff was very nice (even checking in late).
The thing that stands out most for me about Hotel Strata is the extremely friendly and helpful staff. When I checked in, the lady behind the counter knew all about the group I was travelling and even where they were going for dinner so I could locate them. Throughout my stay, she remembered my name and room number, and which shuttle bus I needed each day. The owner also took the time while we were waiting for the shuttle to ask us how we enjoyed the hotel and any feedback we could give, which showed they actually value our opinion. They were renovating throughtout my stay, but this didnt really make an impact. The bed was huge and comfortable, and the room had everything you needed for a work trip. I used the gym each morning - although it was limited in equipment, it was clean and always empty! The pool looked inviting, although it was too cold to jump in. Highly recommended.
The room was huge and the reception staff was very personable unlike huge hotels. A perfect place for comfortable stay unless you need luxuries. The rooms are also loaded with technology such as heated toilet seats, heated floor in the bath room etc. Very practical hotel.
I have been staying in this hotel for so many years whenever I visit Mountain View. The family owned hotel ensures a very friendly and warm stay. The high speed wifi and latest gadget in rooms ensures you are always connected on a business trip. The have fairly good breakfast choices and nice gym too.
We ended up staying over a week in Hotel Strata, and we definitely love it! Location is best, staff is best. Room is spacious and clean, huge screen SONY TV and tiny compact Nespresso coffee machine, which makes the best espresso I’ve ever had. They even have shirt-flatten machine and heated floor tile and toilet in the bathroom! Details tell the difference! The first night turned out really dry for us, and I mentioned this to the manager Seema, she went to the Walgreen and got us a brand new humidifier in room. This family run business is absolutely a home elsewhere.
Very nice hotel with fairly convenient access to tech companies. Amenities, staff, and breakfast are great. The only minor issue is that room access is exterior, though there is a barrier that you have to card into before you can get close to exterior room doors.
This hotel runs exactly the way you wish that a hotel would. We stayed during the holidays, and didnt have too high of expectations since we figured most staff would be taking time off. They could not have been nicer or more accommodating, really excellent hospitality. The breakfast offered great choices, the coffee was great, and they have loaner bikes, which we used extensively during our stay. Our hotel room had heated floors in the bathroom, hardwood floors (the germaphobe in me was so pleased), and was very clean. Plenty of USB ports and nice furnishings, very comfortable beds, and a zen vibe throughout. Will absolutely make a point of staying here again!p.s. icing on the cake: got home to discover we forgot our toothbrush chargers. Gave them a call on the off chance they had them, and they had been turned in by the cleaning staff, and they shipped them right to us. :)
Without doubt one of the favorite hotels during my time in Palo Alto, California! Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff. The Hotel owner and staff are extremely friendly and help with all the questions about the places to visit.I stayed here for 4 weeks. The rooms are very spacious and they have all amenities equivalent to a 5 star hotel. The ventilation, lighting,infrastructure and cleanliness is laudable.Breakfast is just amazing, includes one Indian option which helps us feel at home....Hotel is a true sample of excellent hospitality!
Hotel Strata blew me away, the staff was super friendly, helpful and smiling all the time. I came here for a Google interview and stayed 2 nights. The breakfast was wonderful and different daily consisting of hot items such as bacon, sausage, pigs in blanket, omletess, waffles and more. More impressive was the thoughtfulness to each guest. They actually had Soy Milk, and other milk alternatives as well as Indian food!The room was amazing, exactly like the pictures and included a full kitchenette including an oven/microwave, fridge, plates the whole nine yards, The TV was massive and the room was huge, comfortable and spotless. I stayed in a different hotel 2 years ago and thought that was great until I came here and saw how much better this was. The room, I cannot say how much thought the hotel puts into each guest. There were toiletries, iron, hairdryer, pant press, and so much more! Nothing I could think of was missing and things I would have never thought were here. Ive stayed at some very nice 5 star hotels abroad and felt very much now like Ive stayed at a five star hotel here in Mountain View! The hotel is super kid friendly with a ping pong table and full work out room with excellent weights, machines, and treadmills, and bikes. My kids (10 & 7) loved it and were sad we were checking out. A huge shout out to two of the staff - Seema (owner) and Esthefania who were so friendly and so helpful! Very nice hotel. Even had a fancy ekornes chair in the room. The tv had lots of input options available so you could hook up your pc or whatever directly to the rooms tv.Toilet has the heated seat/bidet and a nice rainfall shower.
I echo the sentiment of most reviewers here. Service is top notch. Rooms are neat, clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was good. But what really really makes this place stand out is the people - it doesnt matter WHO is behind that front desk or the time of day, they are ready to assist you with a smile. Great place and if I am ever here again, THIS is where I am staying. Hands down.
I really recommend this hotel, the room its big enough, the bed was delicious, the big tv, theres a lot of ”smart” stuff, If you are interviewing at Google, book this hotel is very near google plex, also is very comfortable, the food in the morning wasnt the best, but its ok, the bathroom floor has a heater system, was really cool, also the shower was really great. And the staff is very friendly.

Excellent facilities for business traveller - small cooking facilities in room, actual kettle (Brits, take note), variety of laundry options, wee gym, some food available to guests at all times. Drop off at Google campus in the mornings for Google employees. Extremely friendly and attentive service without being over bearing. Highly recommended.
Ill be honest, when I pulled up to the parking lot, my heart sank. It looks like your standard, double-stacker balconies-around-a-carpark 80s roadside motel. But dont judge this book by its cover! The staff are amazing. The rooms are actually very well equipped, with a heap of thoughtful touches you dont see elsewhere (usable desks, comfortable chairs, clips on the curtains to block out that last little sliver of light). Probably my new favorite accommodation in the area.
Family-run business. Nicest and friendliest staff and owners Ive ever met. Clean spacious room, great amenities. I especially liked the table with wheels and large screen TV. I loved working on the bed while watching TV at the same time haha!Btw, I had only been here once, but all the hotel staff still remembered me on my second stay half a year later! Not a place that youd choose to stay on vacation but for a business trip its just fine. They have taken a lot of care to remodel what appears to be a rather old motel. Two story with the long balcony style. Weve all seen it. This one has had some serious work done to make it better for todays traveler. The aspect I appreciated the most was the key card doorway installed to limit access to the long corridor/balcony of room doors. No one that isnt registered is going to knock on your door in the middle of the night. The rooms are small but nicely furnished. The entire place was very clean. Its obviously a well cared for place. And hey, if youre here on business, how much are you hanging out in the room anyway? Very close to downtown Mountain View and all the great place to eat and hang out there. Pro Tip: there is an In & Out right next door! If you arent from Ca, youll want to give it a try!
Really- One of my favorite hotels. As a Platinum Elite member with Marriott, Im usually pretty loyal to that big brand... However, Hotel Strata is the exception whenever Im in the area. Their hospitality and attention to subtle details makes such a big difference. Love staying there.

Strata is excellent. They offer fantastic service, the staff is friendly and really make the stay pleasant. Its very clean and comfortable even the pillows! Stratas convenient location makes it easy to get to a variety of tech companies via bike, trail, shuttle, bus or car. Take a walk to the grocery store two blocks away for longer stays! Borrow their bicycles for a ride to downtown MTV.

The staff as well as management are really awesome, stayed here for 35 nights. They serve hot complimentary breakfast, it is very good. They provide bicycles for commuting and complimentary shuttle service. It has fitness center, pool. Overall amenities were great.
Good job in details! Good free breakfast, free juice all day, offer slipper, ground heating. And they have electronic toilet seat. When I need to wait for my girlfriend in their lobby, they invite me to sit in the breakfast hall with table and tell me to help myself with the food. So nice guys!
We just got back from a long weekend stay and have to say it was one of our best hotel stays. My family will be relocating to the area and needed a home base for us and our toddler. The staff made us feel welcome and seemed to enjoy our company! They had everything we needed for our son, a nice crib and highchair during breakfast. The rooms have been updated and were very clean. We felt like their family and when our family comes to visit we will suggest Hotel Strata to them. The grestest feature of the hotel, however, is the staff and the service. We have never stayed at a hotel where we made it a point to go hang out with the front desk staff.
After a long-haul flight the gigantic, cosy bed was a very welcome sight. The rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable and they serve a complimentary breakfast which I only had time to sample once, though this area is restocked throughout the day with treats and snacks. The staff in particular are great here, operating a shuttle bus to the nearby tech offices and being impossibly friendly at all hours of the day. Em at the front desk deserves a special mention for helping us conspire in a birthday surprise involving a large, inflatable octopus.
Great hotel with possibly the best service Ive ever received. Rooms are spacious, clean, quiet, and the beds are very comfortable. Free breakfast every morning. Free bikes for guests which is an awesome perk.
I was here for a couple of days and absolutely loved the experience. The rooms are amazing, the staff is very helpful and nice breakfast buffet. Best scrambled eggs that I have eaten in a long time for sure.When in mountain view, this would definitely be my first choice. :)
This place is so sweet... from the extremely comfy bed and great in room facilities to the free breakfast in the lobby, this hotel has a lot to recommend it. The receptionist Em was particularly lovely - remembered all of our names in a big party, helped us with room changes and even assisted us in getting some ridiculous birthday balloons for a colleague. Would definitely stay here again.
Stayed here for 3 months for out of town consulting. Family owned and they are amazing. Customer comes first. 6 stars. Never a bad evening. Great free breakfast, free washing detergent, laundry, gym, free bicycles, free shuttle in the morning. Great Fast Fast Fast Internet.
Stayed here about a year ago.From appearance it looks like a very mediocre motel that you see everywhere in west, but it is indeed a hidden gem in Mountain View.1. Room is equipped with fancy stuff, like Herman Miller chair, bidet toilet, under-the-mirror TV that you can watch when showering...2. Location is great, not close to SFO or SJC, but next to In-n-out (must try if you havent), Asian Supermarket (99 Ranch Market) and most importantly most silicon valley companies. I believe they (or Google) also have shuttle to Google HQ.3. Breakfast is also good, not luxury but much better than what you can expect from most free breakfast offered by hotels.
Amazingly clean, large rooms! The bathrooms even have heated floors!! The owner is incredible and super sweet. He runs a free shuttle every morning to local office locations for those in town who work at Tech companies.
Love this place! If youre looking for a unique place to stay instead of a regular chain, cant go wrong with Strata. Very clean rooms with high tech amenities. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Excellent location also.

Hotel strata pays attention to detailn from the comfortable beds and pillows, the cozy sitting area and fireplace, the toto washlet toilets, the three showerheads, the free bikes and shuttle to the great breakfast. This place has all the comforts of home. The owner- manager is and his staff is very friendly and completely accommodating. Highly recommend!
The second building seems to be in a slightly sketchy area near the back, but Ive never had such a clean, modern, and fully featured hotel room. USB ports galore, multiple outlet types supported, TV in the bathroom mirror, heated floors and toilet seat, bidet, TV connection bar, etc. Didnt use the fitness center or laundry, but the breakfast buffet was decent.
While it looks like a motel, its actually a high-end hotel. Perfect for buisnessmen visiting the bay area. Rooms are very big and accessorised perfectly. Staff is super helpful and nice. Breakfast standard is very high. The only thing missing is an elevator to get your luggage to the second floor.
Hotel Strata is a bit dumpy and unimpressive, though the service could not be nicer or more accommodating. An old motel that was purchased by two locals who assured us it was being renovated in full over the next year, rooms are as you might expect at a chain motel but boasting nicer amenities (flat screen TVs, decent toiletries, etc). A free shuttle to nearby headquarters makes it a no-brainer to visiting Googlers. Owners and concierge that will know you by name after just a few minutes make it feel like home. I look forward to the renovations; the rooms are quite dated as is.
I stayed at hotel strata with my wife and 3 year old kid and stay was just wonderful on all accounts. The staff is professional, courteous and helpful. The rooms are adaquately sized with large TV and good work setup for laptop based work.Breakfast will generally have one indian dish so thats a plus point. The pantry is adaquately stocked all the times.The GM and other senior staff were extremely warm at welcoming and making us feel comfortable and at home. We would definetly love to visit again.

Its hard to fault any aspect of my stay here. The room was bright, clean and spacious, and the bed super comfy. The bathroom was well equipped – heated floors, rainforest shower, and a note to simply request anything you may have forgotten. The TV was huge and the wifi fast and reliable. Then theres the free breakfast, snacks and bus transfers to the Google campus. The best thing about the hotel though was the staff – friendly, helpful and genuinely eager to please. Shout out to Em on reception in particular who always had a smile on her face, and who went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. If youre looking to stay in the area, look no further.

Great little hotel, probably my favorite hotel to stay around here. The hotel itself is boutique, converted from an old motel. But the rooms are perfectly appointed, and the owners, who personally staff most everything, do an amazing job. Best service Ive had in years.

Alright! If youre visiting this Hotel, you may other travelers are mostly interviewees of companies like Google! Obviously, the hotel is equipped with Technology :) Although the suites are a bit small and I would have rather Carpet floor! The staff were respectful. Breakfast was ok but their complementary beverages (Variety of tea) and the fruits.
This place was great! Staff are all really friendly, and provided excellent service. Everything was also very clean and neat, and the rooms are very modern and well furnished.
The best hotel that Ive stayed at in Mountain View. The rooms are excellent with the most modern facilities that you can find in any hotel. The staff is so friendly that you are left with a warm fuzzy feeling and want to come back here every time you visit. I also love their breakfast which is fresh, hot and so so tasty! One of the best if not the best hotel Ive been to. They have a ton of little things that add to the experience. Motion sensored floor night lights, heated bathroom floors, large screen, wall mounted tvs, bidets, and more. The staff was really great and nice too. If I could give them a 6, I would!

The rooms looked nice, and the bed was comfortable. The walls were pretty thin and I heard a lot of exterior noise, though. The complementary breakfast wasnt bad either. All in all, not a bad experience.
Luxury hotel with very friendly desk staff. Amenities include continental breakfast, toilets with behind-washing power, night lights that turn on as you step off the bed, and one of those rolling desks over your bed. Would definitely come back if I get the chance.
Newly renovated rooms are fantastic: heated bathroom floors, usb outlets, clean/new furniture, etc.. Hotel Strata has truly thought of everything you need. Incredible attention to detail. Fast WiFi. Customer service is impeccable - very friendly and personal. Theres no better hotel in the Silicon Valley!
I stayed at Hotel Strata for a couple days during the lockdown in early Jan 2021. The owners were very friendly and hospitable. The rooms were sanitized and well maintained. It’s a great business hotel. Definitely will stay there again!
Fantastic family owned and operated. Great rooms, morning breakfast is great as well. 4 star instead of 5 only due to minimal good places to eat in close proximity. Id stay here again for sure.
I stayed for 11 nights in this motel. During my stay they managed to paint the door to my room. Leaving me in a wet paint smell. And they did this twice.The location isnt great: El Camino is a big street, so walking around isnt very pleasant. Breakfast is served on paper plates in an area too small to fit all guests. So you feel rushed when other guests are queuing with their paper plates.
Sometimes when you find a great place youre almost afraid to recommend it, otherwise you might find next time its so popular you cant book it for yourself. Anyway, this is a fab little hotel. From the outside its very unassuming, but inside the rooms are all decorated to a high spec from the massive TVs, Hans Grohe rainshowers, the USB plugs to the adaptors for most phones. As I was away travelling for a couple of weeks, I also found it useful there was an on-site laundromat, or get a bag of laundry can be washed and folded in a day for $20. The hotel also puts on a shuttle to most of the big offices in the area (request the night before) and a free breakfast is provided. The owners are staff are so helpful and friendly. The value of this place is amazing and Id definitely stay here again if I need to be in the area.
Stay here if you like clean, well designed rooms with plenty of friendly touches (complimentary eye masks and slippers, huge shower, comfy bed) and amazing customer service; Em on the front desk especially earned a gold star for being brilliant. Free shuttles to local tech companies and, although I didnt sample the breakfast, the breadth of spread was very good; white miso, gluten-free goodies, cereals, hot food, yoghurts and more.

Unlike the chains, they actually make you feel valued as a customer. Its a great value for the money in the area, and you wont be disappointed. I typically stay at this property for work. I was staying at a another major hotel chain that was actually closer to my office, but even though I could accrue national points by staying there, the increasing prices and decreasing customer service drove me away. Strata has a quaint feel to it, that may seem unusual to the typical business traveler used to the national chains, but the service at Strata is beyond compare. They go out of their way to ensure that every one of your needs is met, before, during, and after your stay.
This is more than 6 start hotel. I would highly recomend this hotel to anyone travelling to Palo Alto, Sunnyvale or mountain view areas. The take care of the guests as if they are family.Dilip is the owner of the hotel and takes the feedback at all the point in time of stay. He would always try to ask what is lacking and where they can improve.The rooms are stuffed with features. They have weighing machine in the room, Toilet seats are temp controlled, and all the props required for grooming.They provide coffee, fruits, and some eatables 24x7 throughout the stay complimentry.Walgreens, walmart, target, gasoline pumps, CSV pharmacy etc all are very and some of them at walking distance.They also arrange the Cabs to airport if required.Santy is the manager on duty who is always amazingly willing to help.I had a wonderful stay here.--Sachin Johri

I visit 3-4 times a year and have stayed in a few of the hotels along this strip of El Camino. Strata is the best I have stayed at so far. Rooms have great facilities for working, e.g. easy HDMI access and roll out standing desks, and are a lot more modern, e.g. better lighting. Staff are really friendly and helpful as well.
This is an affordable, outstanding, family-owned note. Recommended by Duarte Inc. -while attending a training workshop- I stayed for three nights. I was able to see right away why it was recommended. The people at the front desk where very courteous. Breakfast included a variety of classic hot items and something special - fancy expresso coffee. Strata cares deeply about customer satisfaction, from receptionist to hotel owner. Highly recommended!
Rooms were a lot better than expected and I liked the breakfast. Best part though, by far, was the staff: Super kind and friendly, they even gave us a ride at some point because we were checking our phones for an Uber.
His hotel really does make the case for owner-run establishments. After staying in several hotels in Mountain View this will be the one I return to next. A warm and personal welcome, a genuine warmth and concern for our well being from the owner/staff - we even got a quick call to our room after 30 mins to check things were OK!There is a great breakfast help youself selection, and they retain access to some staples throughout the day like yoghurt, cereals, fruit / fruit juice and a few pastries. This means if you arrive in the afternoon, you can have a quick swim in the [small] pool or a workout in the reasonably sized and equipped gym before grabbing a healthy snack. And all included in the room rate.The breakfast also included a shelf of gluten free items and cereals - nice work!We were in a Queen Suite, which with 2 kids was awesome - we could shut the bedroom door and watch some TV after theyd gone to bed in the little sitting room. Even though we were right next to El Camino Real, there was little noise [much less than ive had on other Camino hotels].Room decor was maybe not ultra modern, but was rather nicely done - and there seemed to be large screen TVs everywhere.Internet was fast - the desk was actually workable as it was a decent size with a proper office chair.Well done Hotel Strata.
Check in was very nice, clean. Staff excellent and polite.Rooms are set up in an old fashion- drive up to door, doors face parking lot. I call this a motel vs. a Hotel. Access to the walkways for the rooms was via a magnetic reader, which worked only after 5 swipes. I later saw the staff struggling with the same card reader.On walk to the room I saw a bum waiting at the nearby bus stop. Dropped in to eat at the restaurant in middle of motel- food was middling, service great.Room appeared clean, was fairly spacious, and decor was acceptable. My room had a very strong odor of sewer, as though a water trap had dried out and sewer gas was leaking into room. At this stage I simply decided to check out, too many warning signs for a stay. Staff was again very courteous and outstanding.My alternative was the newer TownePlace suites, where I found a room for $40 less/evening which was clean, interior access, etc.

I travel to MTV about 3-5 times a year for business and I always choose this place.Its always clean. They always look how to improve your experience. A few times I had some suggestions/requests, and the next time they took it into account and applied the suggestions.I totally recommend this hotel.
Stayed at the Hotel Strata for the Google Adwords Summit from Oct 26 3014- Oct 29 2014 and have nothing but excellent things to say. The rooms were fantastic, clean, modern, the showers invigorating, the staff goes out of there way to be friendly, helpful and make sure your needs are taken care of.The complementary breakfast buffet had all the fixings, I expected the Continental, but had a chef quality servings with and everything you would expect in a restaurant style breakfast.The modern rooms were perfect for Highspeed internet connection, plenty of plugs for devices, Mini Kitchen, all the trappings of what you would want for Business Travel.Gladys the assistant manager was always warm and friendly and took care of use like a mother hen (in a good way). EM the night manager was professional, friendly and charming.The manager/owner Mr Patel was always there to make sure you were taken care of. His professionalism, friendliness, outgoing personality made us feel right at home.Kirit Patel as well went out of his way to make sure everything was up to par, and without exception everything always was.This hotel understands customer service, and provides a 5 star experience.You cant go wrong, staying at the Hotel Strata. I recommend it for anyone in the area.
This is the 2nd time Ive stayed here and the service is even better than last time and is 1st rate, due to the father and son owners who give a very personal, attentive touch. They put goose and regular feather down pillows in my room after they asked me if I slept ok. They were thoughtful and helpful in so many ways, even on this short 1 week stay.Also they also really listen to their customers and are prepared to adapt quickly: improvements to internet quality, international plugs and aircon come to mind.Internet is fast, great bed, lots of cable TV, room pretty plush and very functional. Excellent place, would stay again.
I can always rely on this hotel to take care of me. It has great food and heated bathroom floors (you read that right!!). Theres a shopping center and an In-n-Out within walking distance. Its a perfect home away from home for business trips to the area.
Well appointed rooms with a somewhat European feel. Sitting and standing desks, HDMI if you want to work on the big screen, washlet if youre into that. Friendly at front desk. I didnt try the breakfast.
The rooms are nice and comfortable, the service is great. Breakfast and free WiFi is included. The wifi is fast and stable. I am happy whenever there is a free room and I can stay in that hotel and do not need to find any other.
While just a converted motel, they did a great job with it from the rainfall showers over the bidet to the fast internet and the complete set of bathroom and other trinkets. Very pleasant room in an area of few decent hotels.
In my opinion this is the best hotel in Mountain View. I was in one of their newly refurbished rooms, which are excellent, they have great showers, TVs, and are very quiet. The staff are really awesome here, really friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
I stayed here for a week in Feb 2012.My room was nice and clean. It was actually much bigger than I would have expected.Would have been nice if the pool was indoors, it was too cold to try and swim outside.They screwed up my point with the reservation though, so I didnt get them through them or the 1-800 number.
This is my favorite hotel in Mountain View. From outside it looks like a standard motel with rooms facing outdoor walkways over the parking lot. But once you step inside youll find wood floors, bathrobes and slippers, and pretty luxurious perks in the more high-end rooms like a TV in the bathroom mirror and electric fireplaces. They also have a pool and fitness center and free shuttle.
Impeccable, warm, and generous service - the entire staff was so wonderful! The room was very will appointed and comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, and the help from the staff with prompt check-in and assistance with my bags was unparalleled!
Hotel location was great, super close to Google. The room was huge and had every amenity you could think of. Room was clean. It didnt have very nice views but with the location thats not to be expected

Nice place. Rooms are comfortable . Staff is good .. nothing bad.. I stayed in couple of more hotels in Seattle and San Jose but .. never felt the warmth I felt here .. no doubt one of the best in the Bay area .. will definitely come back to this hotel if I have to visit Bay area again ..
Very nice rooms with many details that just contribute to a very pleasant experience. Things like heated bathroom floors, TVs in multiple rooms, and (really cool) bedside tables with underside lights that detect your foot movement at night and illuminate the floor.
As far as hotels in Mountain View go, this is one of the better ones Ive started at. That being said the walls were kind of thin, and it got kind of noisy. At least everything was clean and they had lots of nice amenities
Excellent rooms and service with a variety of options for breakfast. The everyday shuttle service was great. One possible improvement could be in creating a dedicated bicycle parking space.
I was accommodated at this hotel by interview with a company. The room is a little bit old style. But the service is really impressive. I asked whether I could borrow a tool to remove ice on my car, they actually helped me clean the ice by themselves.
Loved the room and all the amenities provided. Would highly recommend it. Especially enjoyed the breakfast which was very nicely prepared with a lot of healthy options for vegetarians.
Stayed here because my other Hotel didnt have me booked for the first night of my trip, which I discovered on arrival. Arrived late and frazzled. The night manager knocked $10 off the price, gave me a goodie bag, and quickly directed me to my room. The accommodations themselves were as pictured on their site - nice. Also, the desk chair was an aeron, so if youre a tech nerd (its Silicon Valley) and will be spending a lot of time coding, its a big plus. The only negative was some construction going on in the morning, but I was warned about it - if youre sensitive call ahead to make sure its not occurring anymore.In the morning I woke late and missed my ride. During checkout the manager asked if there was anything he could do to improve my stay, the answer was nothing, after which he asked if there was anything he could help me with. I asked how to get transportation to my office and he offered to drive me himself. Yes... seriously! A friend was near by and offered to pick me up so I declined, but the offer was very appreciated. This isnt a luxury hotel, but the last time I received service like this was at the Mandarin Oriental. Thanks! Ill be staying again.
Strata is my choice when staying in the area. There are better amenities, better quality rooms, and much friendlier and accommodating staff. The GM Dilip cares about your stay and personally greets folks when they check in or leave. Oh, and this is all at a better price than the other comparable hotels. This will always be my choice in the area.
Great overall+ Interior is really nice hardwood+ Great location- Floors are a bit sticky in many places- Can by kind of loud at times since the whole complex of building one surrounds the hotel parking lot. People walking by or car doors closing etc are quite audible++ Really really friendly and helpful concierge and general service
This hotel is amazing! All equipments are brand new and very convenient! Very safe, clean and comfortable! Strongly recommend living here for your business or vacation travel in Mountain View. Close to Google and supermarkets.

Breakfast options were varied and plentiful, the free local shuttle was very nice, and the staff was always welcoming. They even ended up placing some teddy bears in my room to take home for the kids. Location is great and would go back!

They genuinely asked me multiple times how my stay was and to let them know if they could do anything to make my experience better.I decided to go into the office earlier than their complimentary shuttle start time, and the driver went out of his way to drive me anyways so I didn’t have to call a Lyft.They go above and beyond for their guests and they make you feel like family.

The bathroom has everything you may need (even a bidet!), the furniture is very comfortable, clean, and equipped with high tech and fancy things like a pull out table that can move to the bed so u can eat or use your laptop. The wifi speed was also fast for anyone who needs to work from the hotel or stream videos.The service was also amazing. The front desk was very helpful and friendly. They even gave us a very nice welcome kit.The breakfast had so many options. If you are hungry or thirsty at night, they leave some snacks from breakfast and the coffee and tea varieties are insane.I would totally recommend this place for anyone travelling to Mountain View.

The hotel rooms have everything you could want — heated floors in the bathroom, a bidet, a Dyson hair dryer, yoga mats and blocks, a rain shower, large TVs, motion-sensor lighting, a free shuttle, the list goes on! I’ve never been more comfortable in a hotel; I didn’t want to leave! The owner is also an absolutely incredible person, and all the workers there are attentive and kind. Could not recommend highly enough!

2023-07-28 14:01:43It is absolutely impossible to say anything negative about this wonderful hotel, both the staff and the hotel itself. My worst comment would be that the remote control for the bathroom mirror/tv (yes- there is such a thing), needed new batteries, which they immediately provided. I have not been treated better at a hotel in my life and Ive stayed at hundreds. The breakfast is fantastic and includes a wonderful Indian dish every morning. The Swiss coffee machine costs as much as my car and makes every permutation of coffee you can dream off and offers local beans as well. The selections of teas includes 24 choices. The rooms includes things like a motion detector light under the nightstand so you dont trip going to the bathroom in the dark. Also thoughtful things like a clip for the curtain so you can completely block out light if you choose (thats always a challenge). I wont tell you the rest of the cool things youll find in the room. A gift bag is also provided with a few thoughtful extras. Also enjoy the totally cool curated collection of model sports cars that includes Porsche, Lamborghini and Ferrari are in the lobby. Thank you Hotel Strata for a wonderful stay.

2023-10-21 19:06:20Overall, a high comfort hotel that trumps expectations.The rooms were clean, spacious, and with a high level of comfort. The staff is very friendly and forthcoming about any questions. Nespresso machines guaranteed a tasty coffee in the morning. Breakfast is good as well with a choice of cereal and changing dishes. There is a small gym with a peloton to do some workouts. The location is fantastic with major companies nearby and downtown mtv.If there was anything to improve it would be to have fresh vegetables at breakfast and our room smelled rather old plus did not have a lot of natural sunlight coming in.

2023-10-05 04:49:47I visited in September for a business trip and my experience was beyond expectations. 5⭐ rooms 5⭐ service 5⭐ location!Check-in was quick and easy at the front desk. Theres complimentary tea and coffee 24/7 in the lobby and water bottle refill stations. While the exterior of the hotel might not look particularly noteworthy, inside the room is amazing! And despite being on a major road, it was very quiet and I had no issues with noise whatsoever (and Im a light sleeper, so thats saying something!).I had a room on the second (top) floor of the main building. It was super spacious, and felt luxe with the plush bed and pillows, huge TV, desk, large vanity, and bidet toilet. The room I had included a pants iron, regular iron + full-size board, yoga mat, hair dryer, mini fridge, coffee station (I think Nescafe?), and many additional amenities, toiletries, and features (like the motion sensor nightlights. There are also plenty of electrical outlets including 3-prong and USB-A sockets.We also took advantage of the free morning shuttles to local offices. Kirit was a delight to get to know and talk with -- he is a people person and so friendly and accommodating. In fact, the whole staff was very kind and warm.In terms of location, the hotel does have parking and is on a major road. However, it is walkable from Castro Street and is right around the corner from In-N-Out 😉Highly recommend this hotel for any business or personal stays. Looking forward to staying here again for future trips to the South Bay!

2023-07-16 19:42:14The rooms and service were a pleasant surprise! Everything is perfectly where it should be. They have everything you need and the things you didnt think you needed! I do have to mention that the heated floor, Air filtration system, bidet, built-in bathroom mirror Tv, and the gift bag are all a definite plus.
