Hands down best bagel place in Bay Area!(esp for vegetarians)Also the best House of bagels outlet too amongst all other HOB outlets here.Rich variety, great quality of both bagels and cream cheese type! People running the place are extremely friendly and patient with your confusion to decide your order lol!Seating is not ideal but bagels are as best as they come :)Top favourites-1. Veggie bagel-which (without sprouts and olives) with Jalapeño cheddar bagel and garlic herb cream cheese2. Pesto bagel - best! Runs out super quick3. Veggies cream cheese + garlic herb cream cheese combo in everything bagel4. Honestly the best bagel house in the Los Altos/MV area. My favorite place to get a quick bagelwich during lunch break because it’s super quick and efficient. The BLT is my go to, the bacon is just so crispy it’s irresistible! Also, their one day old bagel bags are an awesome deal for only 10 bucks!!

Great bagel shop, it has a wide variety of bagels and sandwiches. The jalapeño cheese bagel I tried was quite fresh, although I’d have preferred a little more jalapeño in it. There is also just jalapeño bagel, which I’m gonna try next time. There are also many options for coffee to go along with the bagel. There were a few seating options outside.

Overall big fan but most recent experience left a bad impression. I ordered a lox bagel sandwich and they left out everything except the lox. No onions, tomatoes, etc. I only found out once I got home and felt sad eating one of my favorite bagels in the Bay Area.Edit: upgrading to 5 stars due to quick receptiveness to feedback!

Our go to bagel place! We’ve been coming here for years. Good selection of fresh delicious bagels and cream cheese, and bagel sandwiches. They also have bagel dogs, baked goods, coffee, boba drinks. Fast and friendly service!

I ordered via DoorDash and as I went there to pick up after being notified, the lady at the counter was very rude and asked me to wait for 5 minutes without looking at my order(btw it was not a busy time at all). I waited for 15min before getting my order even though it was ready a while ago and everything by that time was cold. I liked their bagels, but service is not worth it.

The bagels turned into trash. It was the most delicious bread in the area, but something has changed. They microwave bread now. It doesnt taste fresh anymore. Just ordinar microwaved bread, no crispy, no satisfaction. We used to enjoy these bagels. Have to find anything else. The quality went down last two times we visited this place. Pity :(

Look no further. This is the perfect New York style bagel, chewy and full of flavor.They are also generous and use fresh and high quality ingredients when building their sandwiches, which made us really happy. I wish I was physically able to eat a whole dozen of their bagels because theyre so satisfying.

I have been going here for many years. The past year or so they have almost always screwed up my orders. I have given that a pass but now I noticed the day old bagels have gone up $2.50 in the past week and a regular dozen of bagels is $20.00. To me thats insanity and greedy. I am from NY and bagels there are not twenty dollars a dozen.I really like to support my local businesses but now I am only going to support businesses that dont rip people off

The owner May is so warm and accommodating! I went after theyre close, but she still opened the door for me. Bagels were good. Is it the best in town? I cant taste the difference between the best ones and the decent ones. Id definitely go back for the bagels and the warm hospitality!

Everyone talks about their bagels, but have you tried the croissants?! House of Bagels makes some of the best croissants Ive ever eaten. And as everyone else says, they have great bagels. Get here early as they do sell out of certain flavors.

It is pretty tiny store, but with a lot of bagel options. I took all in one bagel with sausage, cheese, and omelette. It was a perfect late breakfast. I would recommend this place if you missed your breakfast/launch and you need something on the go.

They have a pretty big menu inside and provide fast service. there was a bit too much cream cheese on my bagel but it was fine. the food we ordered tasted great and the staff was nice. it was so busy and there were a ton of people coming in to the restaurant and a lot of people going out because they were so busy the morning we visited.

I just moved to CA from NJ 9 months ago. Ive tried a handful of bagel places around the South Bay area since then, hoping to get my fix of real NY-style bagels. I had almost given up hope... but House of Bagels hit the spot! A nice crust (evidence of a legit boil) and chewy, doughy crumb. This was distinctly a bagel - not just bread/a roll in a bagel shape (which seems to pass for a bagel around these parts).The veggie cream cheese was good, not the best Ive had. Id prefer bigger chunks of veggies in there - but thats a personal preference.On my quest for east-coast bagels though there are still two things I still cant seem to understand: (1) all-in-one bagels (akin to the everything on the east cost) here dont seem to come with salt on them. Why? Salt makes it taste so much better; and (2) almost every bagel place I go to microwaves their eggs. This kills me. Microwaved eggs just dont cut it! The stovetop griddle is a necessary staple for amazing breakfast sandwiches.

Great sandwiches, awesome staff, and they even made me a dirty Thai tea. (Even though it wasnt on the menu.) All in all, I would stop at any one of their locating whenever I get a chance. Not sure where or is located? Just look for the long lines. People love this place, and its worth the wait.

I have been coming to this bagel shop for quite sometime now. If anything, I only had good words for them until today.I got my bagel with jalapeno cream cheese. And while I was driving and having my bagel, i felt something sharp pinching on my gums in my mouth. I spit it out and found a few inches long twisted metal wire in there.

This is the closest I have had to a bagel in this area. Im not really someone who insists ____ food is only good in ____ location. But... it has been weirdly difficult to find fantastic bagels. I love bagels like I love pizza -- I will eat all of them and be happy. But that doesnt mean theyre all created equal.House of Bagels is as close as I have gotten to bagels that have good chew and density without being hard or dry. I can get pumpernickel here!! I didnt realize regular stores here often dont carry pumpernickel bread until I got too excited for the bagels. I love this place and badly need it to stay in business for purely gluttonous reasons.

House of Bagels has been a staple of the Los Altos community for many years for good reason. It serves fresh New-York style bagels that I swear taste from New York City; these are probably my gold standard for bagels. Sandwiches are large and generous in their meat and fillings (highly recommend the turkey avocado sandwich), and there is a large selection of cream cheeses in the fridge next to where you order. The coffee is not good, so head next door to the Starbucks if you want some java while you eat.

A favorite local goto spot for excellent fresh bagels and bagel sandwiches. The bacon omelet bagel on poppy is a favorite. They also have a nice selection of pumpernickel, rye and other interesting flavors. They have good coffee - I particularly enjoy their French Roast.The counter service is friendly and efficient. Theres a little room for sitting inside, and a little outside by the parking lot. You dont go there for the ambiance - you go there for the bagels.

No, they are just medium ranked bagels, not mediocre but just medium ranked bagels really . Also what’s up with the eggs they use ? This is some weird scrambled eggs, pay 6$ for a breakfast sandwich and not even get a real egg lol ?Gave it a shot but no, sorry these are not great bagels and their sandwiches need an egg quality upgrade!
