(11/12/2023) Very good vegetarian restaurant. Prices and portions of the food are decent. Service is good overall. Recommend sausage and tofu and pineapple fried rice. Stri-fried Trio are good tho. Probably one of the vegan sports to come back for my moms choice.

This is the BEST vegan Chinese food that I’ve ever had! I just moved to OC and I tried it for the first time last night and omg, I was blown away. I only had two of their dishes and can’t wait to try more. Their vegetable chow mein w/tofu is incredible! 🙌🏽 And the cucumber salad was refreshing and flavorful. I also really love that they use non-toxic eco-friendly containers! ♥️ Update: I also love their meat pancakes!

Delightful crispy pan fried noodles with an abundance of vegan meat & shrimp and vegetables of carrots, woodear mushrooms, broccoli, Napa cabbage & bok choy with tasty brown sauce on the bottom of the bowl. the portion was huge. I also ordered the crispy veggie & glass noodle filled veggie spring. And hot tea. Friendly staff & service, the server always checked up on me. It could be because it was an early dinner for me, and only a handful of people were picking up their take out orders. All in all, House of Fortune is still the best vegan restaurant in Chino.

Any time I am hungry in Chino I will be going back here. Great service, the food came out really fast and was so tasty. Friendly and attentive staff, a huge menu of options, all vegan. Numbing sauce in one of our dishes was a unique and enjoyable experience 🤣

The food here was amazing! It was fresh and served quickly. The servers were friendly and helpful. The only issue I had was with dessert. I ordered a slice of cheesecake that cost $10. For that price I was expecting something homemade but they served Dayia cheesecake that you can buy frozen at Stater Bros. That was the only thing that was disappointing. Other than that I would definitely recommend this restaurant for vegan and non vegans alike!

Vegan chicken is great! they do taste like chicken •͈ᴗ•͈ ♡ we ordered three cup chicken and spicy tofu pot. Oh it is all super savory and nice. But the overall price is on the high side die to covid 19 and all the logistical turbulence. We will come back from time to time.Update on our 2nd visit: this time we ordered fish and pork (all veg based). The fish is absolutely amazing. Crispy crust and savory sauce. The shreded pork is ok. Amazing place. Definitely gonna come back again

Great experience for vegetarian food, wonderful presentation and great taste! Came here to take vegetarian friends to a fancy dinner and the variety of dishes here was excellent! They have a great array of savory and spicy dishes, especially love how crisp their mushroom tempura was. Had spicy dumplings, fried rice, general tsos chicken, stir friend bean sprouts, and many other dishes. Service was friendly and informative and had a great experience eating here.

Jenny is the rudest, most inhospitable person Ive ever met. She definitely does NOT belong in the restaurant / hospitality industry. My family and I love trying new vegan restaurants and drove all the way to CHINO HILLS from LOS ANGELES to try the food at House of Fortune. Unfortunately, as soon as we arrived at 2pm for a late lunch, Jenny met us at the door and said there was no room for us to sit down. We looked around and saw 4 open tables. She saw the puzzled look on our faces and said she has a large reservation coming so we cant sit down. First she said wed have to wait 10 minutes even though there was empty tables available, then changed it to 15 minutes after we said we would wait. The whole experience felt very RACIST and as though she was agressively pushing us to leave the restaurant. She kept saying Take the food to go! I have to go boxes and bags, you cant eat here, were expecting a crowd and you can take the food and go to the park near here to eat it. At that time, my wife became upset and said We drove a long way to eat here, and we dont feel welcome. Id rather stay hungry than eat here with this person whos making us feel like were not wanted. And I WONT support this restaurant by giving them our business only to be kicked out to eat at the park and made to feel like undesirables who arent good enough to sit and eat in their restaurant. So now, were at a grocery store getting snacks for our 2 hungry kids to eat while my wife looks up another vegan restaurant nearby who has friendly, customer service oriented human beings as the face of their establishment instead of rude, abrasive, prejudiced workers like Jenny who drive away business due to personal issues that dont belong in the front of the house at a restaurant

Bomb place! Im not vegan but this place is 6 stars! Taste just like the non vegan stuff but better. Less salt and no bloated feeling afterwards. The whole menu is amazing and it was fun figuring out how they made each vegan dish so much like the non-vegan equivalent. Please House of Fortune Vegan owner, pass this restaurant to your children and grandchildren so I can keep coming here. I will be eating here until I die. Which will probably be sometime in 2060 or 2070. Thank you!

Wow! The food was amazing. My best friend doesn’t like Chinese food and she loved every dish. We got the orange chicken, the eggplant tofu pot, and the bao buns. Everything was good. I liked the tofu best, my friend liked the orange chicken best, and the bao buns were a really fun side.

We had Claypot Eggplant, Orange “Chicken”, Mongolian “Beef”, Crispy Mushroom!One of the most delicious vegetarian restaurant we went to in a long time! Texture of the “chicken” & “beef” were almost close to an actual meat but it’s not!The sauce, especially that of the Orange Chicken and Claypot Eggplant was very delicious, even better than the “original” versions you get at other chinese chain stores!

When I arrived for a Tuesday lunch, there was a large group already onsite. More customers entered during my meal. Id ordered the beef and broccoli main dish.$25! For five basic ingredients: vegan beef, broccoli florets, carrot slices, a brown sauce, and brown rice. A simple stir fry job to combine them (sans the rice), which flavor-wise didnt really knock my socks to oblivion. But, $25. Perhaps sea salt—hand harvested from the Himalayas by the restaurant owners themselves—were liberally added...I understood it was due to location and business environment, but if the food was required to be charged that much, at least cooked it in a special/unique way to match the outrageous cost.

The food was good! Could back off on the salt. Wide range of dishes with different faux-meats and many vegetables. Not inexpensive.Atmosphere would be improved by turning off the large television. The images of the programming were not at all appetizing. This is my suggestion. Some quiet music suitable to digestion would be much better companion to a healthy and well-prepared meal.

My boyfriend and I came to eat here about a month ago. The inside is nice and clean, including the restrooms. All the workers are kind and welcoming. Nick was our server and he did an amazing job! For it being vegan food, they did a great job with making it taste like the real stuff. For dessert we had the cheesecake and that was also very delicious. We will be back soon😎

We ordered Togo and dine in a few times at this location and the one in Rowland heights.Food is good, highly recommend the clay pot tofu (my favorite), fried rice, and hot and spicy soup.Vegetarian fish is ok.Will not try the mapo tofu. It was not that good. The one in supermarket by house tofu tastes so much better and cheaper.The server at this restaurant is nice and attentive. I forgot his name. Thanks for your great service!

I went yesterday and my bill came out to $118 dollars. Payed and left a $10 dollar tip only to find out that they charged me $147 dollars. So they gaved themselves an almost $30 tip. Which I didnt approve. Im a regular and I definitely dont appreciate this nonsense. Careful when using your card here, apparently they like to tip themselves.

We found this place as we were passing through town. Between my husband and I we ordered 4 dishes! There were so many items on the menu that well have to keep coming back to try them all! Jennifer was so helpful and patient with us as we tried to make up our minds as to what to order. They have one closer to us too so well be frequenting the place. We’ve ordered here 3-4 times now after discovering the his place with one time being inside (dining inside the restaurant). As plant based eaters we were extremely excited to discover this place and even more excited when we tried it as the food was great. However, I started out with 4-stars but as I kept writing the review I saw there we’re more cons than pros and remembered some of the frustration I’ve experienced thus far so we are at 3-stars with room for improvement.Pros:-the food has been consistent and tasty each time, fresh, homemade, seasoned, and hot-menu: this is both a pro and a con so I’m placing this in both categories. It’s a pro in the sense of there is so much to choose from and to try, but the menu website is painful to navigate due to the the sheer size of the menu-portion size is slightly smaller than you’d expect for some of the prices-dining in was a great experience as the waiters were very attentive and hospitableCons:-no way to order online other than having to sign up for a 3rd party delivery service (and you’ll likely end up paying more per dish - for example; DoorDash was charging nearly $2-5 dollars more per already expensive dish). In this day and age where well over half of the sales can come from online I’m surprised to see no way to order directly on their website.-calling in your order can be extremely frustrating since they’ve implemented some new automatic robot ordering system. I literally called 6-7x because the robot couldn’t get the order right even after speaking clearly and repeating myself. The last time I called before giving up and going elsewhere someone finally picked up the phone and I was able to place an order. This robot is trash and you’ll end up just making people frustrated enough to go elsewhere if this stays around - I wouldn’t put that much effort into it next time. If I call and hear the robot we will make other plans.-prices: the prices are super expensive for the amount you get and for what it is (mostly veggies, grains, tofu, soy meats, etc). There is absolutely no reason for a dish of veggies (for example, bok choy with no other veggies or add ins) to cost nearly $20.-menu: like I mentioned above the menu is a pro and a con. If you dine in, they don’t have physical menus and with the size of the menu (the menu is massive, I warn you) it’s hard to filter through everything via the online page you have to access from your phone by the QR code because the webpage sort of sucks just by the way it’s laid out.Worth it?: Yes. All in all the food is great and it is worth a try. While this will be more of a once in a while thing for us due to the prices it’s still worth a try and you’ll never have the same thing twice.

03.28.2021This was my first time visiting House of Fortune, and it was a wonderful experience. The food is delicious (you can easily bring carnivores here without them knowing its vegan). And its relatively eco-friendly! The food is placed in boxes, and the boxes are placed in paper bags. The staff is warm with kindness, an obvious fact the second they welcome you in. Five, mighty stars for this gem.

It is not easy to find good Chinese vegan restaurant, when we found this, we didnt expect much. Yet, after first visit, it is absolutely love in first bite. Aside from the super friendly service, their foods are exceptionally great, far exceed any other Chinese vegan restaurants in the whole greater Los Angeles areas. This vegetarian restaurant is conveniently located in a quiet plaza. Its interior is clean and well-decorated, and its servers are friendly and professional. Its menu contains a large variety of entrees and other food items. Having tried some entrees, we feel that they were too salty, too greasy, and over-gravyed, which essentially defeats the concept of vegetarian cuisine as healthy cuisine. One major ingredient in some of the entrees, which was like slices of firm tofu, tasted really bad. What also disappointed us is that no sesame oil was used in any of the entrees for better taste.

The food is mostly good but the young waitress is always rude, impatient and not very knowledgable about the food. Ill be back on occasion but want to warn others about the lack of service.

Its delicious. But there is a waitress. She can speak Chinese. My friends and I spoke Chinese in front of her. She always uses English. I dont know if she has bad ears or something. I really hate people like this. Is Chinese a shame?
