Good service. The Mongolian beef is tasty. Its pricey but the service plate is family style and huge. Also got the Peking chicken which is tasty, sweet, and like the different deep fried and stir fried option kinda like orange chicken at Panda Express.The multiple servers were ALL friendly. They packed our leftovers for us, even though they didnt have to. We stayed really long to eat and talk after, and the staff didnt rush us out. There wasnt anyone waiting to get in.The reviewer who said this place is weird bc theres a lot of Korean patrons in a Chinese place is ignorant. The place is Chinese style food for Koreans. Often, the owners of places like this are even Chinese people who lived in Korea and speak 3-4 languages.

Got beef and broccoli, chicken fried rice and chicken chow mein. Rice was pretty good, chow mein was kind of mediocre. Beef broccoli tasted like fish and we ended up tossing it.Overall, it was fine but I probably wouldnt order the chow mein again and definitely not the beef broccoli.
Two visits in a row they didnt get the order right. Couldnt even flag a waiter about the problem. Service needs work.
I wouldnt recommend their beef dishes, its very cheap quality and super chewy.Everything very pricey and not authentic.

Customer service is great. The food came out fast and was hot. You get enough food to feed four people. Ive only been twice, once for take out and another for dine-in and I do plan on going again.
Always very nice very friendly, we love the food only exception was they advertise Blue Moon on draft but never have it. Other than that I highly recommend it

Ive been coming to this place nonstop ever since I was little. The atmosphere is definitely friendly and so are the staff. Really really happy with this place and the food is super delicious. In my opinion, this place is the best Korean-Chinese restaurant in the area. The food portions are pretty big enough to share with a whole table or with your family. The food is also fresh and the seasoning is just perfect. Ill continue being a patron.

Ordered two dishes..wonton soup and crispy chicken. It came with soup and those crispy noodles with sweet sauce. The food was good but not exceptional. Service was perfect..thank you for that. Prices were reasonable and parking was easy. Would go back and recommend others try it.

One of the best Korean-Chinese restaurants in the area. There are plenty of these type of restaurants from LA to Inland Empire but this place is one of the better spots.We ordered the green beans, mayo tofu, black bean noodles, spicy fried chicken, and Mongolian beef. Only item I would say is a bit disappointing would be the black bean noodles, it can get really salty and has just too much onion (and I love onions). Everything else exceeds expectations.
I dont know how to say it other than just average thats putting it nice. Something says strange that its a Chinese restaurant with Korean all over the place and Japanese chopsticks. However that has little impact to the fact the food is just okay and pretty expensive. The waiters !? if there was any treat you like your not even there. Literally no greetings takes like 10 tries to track them down. Plus its just plane dirty everywhere
So there’s car chargers at the Vons across the street, and is how we found this place. It’s like old school Chinese. Big portions, tasty, and comes with hot tea. Great interior, great food. A staple of good Chinese food.
This place has great service and great food, but occasionally there is one example or two things off with the dishes like the noodles they give you to start off were stale once and there once was tbis tiny spot of mold on the homemade Kimchi. We still go back though because it is still amazing and little things dont bother us!

Honestly some of the worst Chinese food Ive ever had. Weve eaten here twice (its very close to our home), and it was bad both times. The entrees all have bland, under-seasoned sauces. They backload their food with cheap vegetables (the kind they dont need to keep fresh, because they dont perish quickly). For example, we got one dish that was at least 40% onions,...seriously, 40% onions. Another dish had overcooked rice noodles that were stuck together into one big noodle blob that could not be separated. I give this place 2 stars because the staff is very nice, but the food is only 1 star. I dont like trashing businesses like this, but if you have high standards for Chinese food, definitely skip this place.
Really good service and a nice family atmosphere. The food tastes great and not to mention is cheap. The outside looks a bit old and unapealling but I can tell you thats not the case. The inside is beautifully done and in amazing condition. Check it out!

Me and my Aunt would go and eat here all the time! I love their Mongolian Beef and their Sizzling Rice Soup, everything here is so yummy! I would suggest going here with family, or just some friends (or alone if you want).❤

If youre in the La Crescenta area and in the mood for some authentic Chinese-Korean food, this is the place to go. Everything is delicious, but the jajangmein and jampong are the best! They have a huge selection so you cant go wrong here.

The paper wrapped chicken had cinnamon in it.Ive never had cinnamon in paper wrapped chicken before, not good.The Mongolian beef had a strange smell.I wish I had my 40 bucks back but I guess thats the world we live in

Food is fresh and delicious. Pricing seems to be a bit pricey until you see the portions. They give you a lot. So plan on leftovers for a second delicious meal!
This place is very average to say the least. Being the only korean Chinese restaurant in La Crescenta, if you have any Korean Chinese food cravings, youre S.O.L. and only have this place to serve your cravings. Food is very pricey here, and very very average. Whenever I go and eat here and get the bill, I think to myself that Im never going back but I do when my craving kicks.... Hope someone opens another Korean Chinese restaurant soon in LC.

It was everything we wanted. Went to 2 other locations before we found House of joy which truly loves up to its name. Fresh hot tea, crispy straws everything was delicious!!!

I like a korean+chinese fusion styled noodle(jjamppong) with a lot of vegetables and meat but sometimes they just put lot of slices of onion and few slices of squid, but I think still best place in foothill community.

The shrimp tasted weird and not very fresh. A large bowl of noodles, the taste is relatively ordinary, it is rice noodles.The dumplings are huge and the taste is not good.The door says Chinese restaurant, but the menu is in Korean and English.
I ordered samseonganjjajang, but it seemed like there were only 3 shrimp and about 2 onions. It was tasteless and I felt repulsed so I couldnt eat it all. I dont think Ill ever go again.
The Jjajangmyeon came out all over the place, the sweet and sour pork was soggy and greasy, and I got a can of Coke for 3.50.
Basically, they give you a lot of food, so you can order it for sharing without having to eat too much for one person.Recommended menu: Beef & Broccoli, and if you want to eat non-spicy Malgun Jjamppong, add green pepper Jjamppong without the green pepper. I didnt even order rice, but they just gave it to me and I ate it with the remaining soy sauce.

2022-11-22 22:25:53This Korean Chinese fusion restaurant is absolutely amazing. These restaurants are usually known for their jjampong and jjajang. The first is a spicy seafood noodle soup, the second is a black bean sauce noodle soup. Just in case you guys didnt know. This place has the best Chinese Korean fusion in all of LA, including koreatown. I just came back from Korea a month ago and I would have to say this place beats a lot of the places in Korea. The last time I was here at this restaurant was 10 years ago when I was in high school. It was good then and its good now. I literally had a foodgasm eating at this place today. The service is amazing The food comes out fast and the price is pretty damn good for this time of whatever is going on in America.

Right after I was seated, I was presented with a pot of hot tea and some crunchy noodles with sweet & sour to enjoy while I looked at the menu. I ordered the chicken chow mein. The friendly waitress let me know that was a very popular dish and then promptly brought out the soup of the day that was included with it (hot & sour). My food arrived shortly and was delicious. From the food, to the service, to the presentation, this place is amazing. I will be back.

Having grown up in Glendale my entire life, I remember having many, many family dinners are the House of Joy on Pacific Ave, and till this day, they are still around.First of all, House of Joy is a Chinese-Korean fusion restaurant, so if youre looking for authentic Chinese food, Id suggest heading to Chinatown. This place is run by Koreans, but also has a lot to offer.My go-to dish is definitely the Peking Chicken. This is just my opinion, but their Peking Chicken is on par with San Tungs chicken. The chicken is soaked in sweet and spicy sauce and remains crispy for a while. I would highly recommend this dish to anyone.Their jjajjangmyun and jjangppong are also must haves as well. These dishes are what makes or breaks Chinese-Korean fusion restaurants. While House of Joy doesnt make the best jjajjang or jjanpong dishes, Id say its pretty solid.While it might be unavoidable given the pandemic, I would try to eat at the restaurant vs doing take-out. Speaking from experience, Chinese food doesnt really travel well so the quality of the food drops after about 15-20 minutes of travel.The only downside to this place would be their interior. It hasnt modernized any of the tables or furniture so the ambiance feels like youre in an old school Chinese restaurant.

2022-10-22 19:14:09This place is one of the few Chinese restaurants in La Crescenta. The food is generally good, but it’s inconsistent. We got the Mongolian beef this time and it was too spicy for our liking. And, they really need to work on packing their food better when customers make it to-go. Often times, the sauce leaks and creates a huge mess. But this is the first time, the styrofoam lid melted and was disfigured. It must have been crushed by another box that came with our order. Let me tell you, I was in complete shock! I was worried that the chemical on the styrofoam transferred to the food. This is NOT acceptable!
