It is one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in the area. Lots of delicious choices on their menu. I came here for their spicy Pho and shrimp spring rolls. It was delicious as always. Restaurant could be cleaner.

The food is great but the customer service of the cashier guy is terrible. He lack good manners. No respect for paying customers. He seems overwhelmed and tense doing his job. I requested for a to go box he gave me a rice box. Had to request for a to go bag. My food has a sauce he didn’t provided me with the small sauce container. He has no common sense. They should likewise place a big sign that they only accept VISA credit card otherwise you need to play their guessing game. The rest of the staff were friendly except this dumb cashier guy who will only answer you with “Ya Ya”. He needs to be trained.

I really like this restaurant, its good food and friendly staff. I sometimes go there for lunch with my coworkers or for dinner at least once a week if not 2 or 3 times a week. Consistent quality. I like #47 garlic prawn with noodles, or #10 beef pho with brisket... and so many other favorites

Recently we found this restaurant for a good place Pho and Bun Cha ca La Vong, Pho like I said is famous here, we like flavorful and tasty, com thit nuong ( bbq pork with rice) is my son favorite, bun cha ca la vong we can order it for 3 if we dont eat much cause me and my mom can’t finish it, store clean, service fast and friendly

Ive come here many times. What Ive tasted so far was OK. They could reduce the amount of msg though. The food deserved four stars but the experience this time was three stars. You see they sat me in front of the hallway that leads to the bathroom. In the hallway they installed not one but two air fresheners. These emit scents and do it automatically for as long as they are plugged. Normally one air freshener is enough for one room. So you can imagine what two can do and you are talking about a hallway not just a room. All throughout my meal I sat in front of that hallway smelling that scent which gave me a headache. Not only that but I could taste the fragrance in my food. I couldnt trace the origin of that smell until I finish my meal to use the bathroom. The air fresheners were openly plugged in the hallway. I wanted to bring up this issue to the owners but all of them were speaking Vietnamese. So what use? Let them read the comments here. Honestly, we are supposed to smell food in a restaurant not air freshener. The bathroom already had its own air freshener.

We come here regularly, usually after Church. This has been one of our go-to Vietnamese restaurants when we are in Hayward.The Phos are good and so are some rice meals. Staff are friendly and the service was always good since they probably recognize us as regulars.

Used to be great now just mediocre. They raised the price for everything on menu significantly but didnt adjust portion size. Was there 25 mins and the waiter only showed up once and disappeared after that. I think someone in the kitchen delivered to my table instead of the lady that took the order. If the service was better it might justify the price, but in the Bay area there are plenty of Vietnamese food places. Save your time and money and skip this place.

My husband and I went here because I wanted to try their Che. We had pho and stir-fry noodles, egg rolls, plum soda, fruit che, and another one. The che was OK. It is still much better than the other places weve been to that has limited options. House of Pho has more options for traditional che than others but it wasnt the best che Ive tasted. The egg rolls were the best.The food was flavorful yet I can still tell that it is a bit watered down. It came out quickly and hot. The service was great. Staff was on point, we got ordered, served, and payment was also speedy. The environment was open roomed and it was easy to talk to each other. It was not loud so if youre going on a date and wanted to talk a lot then this is good place to be.I also thought it was decently priced as well. They portions are large so it will fill you up. On top of the drinks and che you order. Youre set.

It was our first visit to this restaurant, so I was really excited to try out the pho with my friend. The broth was tasty and just right, but the noodle+meat portion was disappointingly small (about the size of my fist) in comparison to the giant bowl. There were barely any chicken and seafood in my large combo order, and she had to search for the chicken in hers. If you can actually see and count how many pieces there are, you have to wonder if the person who put them in there also did the same. I might give it another try if I were in the area, but I wouldnt go out of my way like I did today. Perhaps the next visit might be a 4 or even 5 star experience if only the portions matched the size of the bowl.

The location is very convenient and the the service was very friendly! The pho was memorable because of the great flavors! The meat was thinly sliced and smoky delicious. The broth was super delicious. The noodles are long and have great body. We got there at lunch time and the place was filling up with customers. By the time we received our order, there was a line for seating. The price was reasonable and the service was fast. I will eat here again and recommend it to my friends.

This place is moderately clean, including the bathroom. The service is quick, responsive. The foods are tasty and plentiful. You can request for some extra condiments and side dishes without or very little charge. The girl at the cashier looks tired but everyone else is friendly and warm. You can even pull them over for a little chat. Definitely a 5 stars at this price level

We’ve been coming to/ordering food at House of Pho (located on the corner of Hesperian blvd. and A street) for the last 2 years but today we encountered a problem and were very disappointed at the way an employee at House of Pho handled the situation. I called in earlier today to order 1 food and 1 drink. When my husband came to pick up the food, he was told they didn’t see the food. So I sent the names of the food and drink I ordered. Later on my husband called and said they tried to charge twice but transactions didn’t go through and asked if I could check the balance. I checked and saw that the card had been charged twice with different amounts. I asked my husband to turn on the speaker mode so I could speak to the lady at the counter. I told her that on the bank transactions, it shows that the card was charged 2x. She raised her voice and said “If you don’t believe me turn on the video chat, I can show you my machine.” I calmly told her “Before we do that, I’m going to send a picture of the bank transactions showing that the card had been charged 2x.” She kept assisting that there was not enough money on the card, which I told her that it was not that. Later I was told that at that moment, she removed the food from the counter and put in the back as if she was afraid my husband would take the food and run. To me that was unprofessional and disrespectful to customers. I sent the picture but video chat never happened because she was busy assisting other customers. Then she demanded my husband to swipe the card a 3rd time which of course my husband refused to do. My husband ended up cancelling the order and asked them to void the other transactions so he could get his money back.Now could it be the bank pausing the transaction? Possibly! But the employee’s gesture was not acceptable. I understand it’s a difficult time but customer’s service is still important even if you’re only opened for take-out and/or delivery. I don’t think we’d come back to that restaurant again nor recommend them for anyone.

I got the bbq pork plate, my girlfriend a large beef combo pho and both of us iced coffees. The cost boiled down to about $19 each before tip. The coffee was delicious, flavorful, strong and smooth. The bbq was okay. Felt a little overpriced compared to what I got. I dont think Id get it again. But the pho was great! Worth revisiting for the pho, but not sure if Id try the rice plates again. Overall a positive experience, just wish I had ordered something different 😭

This place has a lot of hits but it does come with about the same amount of misses. The place is nice and somewhat clean. The dark floors hides a lot of dirt since I could tell of the stickiness of the floors. Decor is nice for the price point. They keep a selfsever container of spoons and forks on the table where kids and adults can touch. One of the waiters was picking his teeth in the dinning room and then without washing his hands waits on customers. A group of people came in and a server wanted to give them their water before they sat down...I felt she should of waited for the customers to make themselves comfortable. Details matter much to me, its all a part of good customer service. Peace.

I havent been back here in a few years and it looks to be new management or possibly a whole different restaurant all together. But service was just as great as I remember and the #1 is still my #1(with egg noodles). Not having to ask for a refill of your water speaks to the attentiveness of the wait staff. Its a pretty good spot for all pho lovers. Nothing fancy but the food is always good. Theres no complain about the food, its great here. But the place gets so busy the servers are always in rush and its hard to communicate with them. I cant blame all servers, some looked grumpy and some were really nice lol. I just wished they wont rush while taking orders and be there when we needed something. Except that everything is great!

The service was quick and friendly. The dining room appeared clean. The food was good and plentiful. My wife had the shaking beef with tomato rice. My son had the tomato & crab paste rice noodle soup. And I enjoyed rare beef noodle soup. The restaurant is at the dead end of a narrow strip of the parking lot, so if the lot is full, you may have an uneasy time turning around and getting out, especially if you drive a truck or larger SUV without a backup camera.

We come here about once a month. It’s our go to pho place. You get seated quickly and they bring you water. They take your order pretty fast. I get the #10 which is rare steak and brisket I believe with extra onion. I wish the flavor was a little more consistent, could be the toppings. I feel like sometimes you go and it was the perfect amount of cilantro and other times it’s missing it completely. Also waiter doesn’t really check on you often. Please do yourself a favor and order the taro boba! It’s the perfect creamy sweet little treat to compliment the meal!

Bad service. I asked for an empty bowl for my daughter and it never came. I was literally waving at the busboy and he pretended he didnt see me and I had to go up to the counter to get what I needed. The customer service was so exceptional and the willingness to accommodate me has led me to come here a second time. The first time I came I only wanted broth to ease my upset stomach (some restaurant do not do this). Not only was I served a DELICIOUS bowl of broth, I was given fresh basil, cilantro and jalapeño to put in broth. By the time I left the restaurant I felt stronger and so much better! The second time I came I ordered a vegetarian pho with no noodles, absolutely DELICIOUS!!!! The vegetables look and taste fresh and when added to the veggie broth, exceptional flavor!!! The food is really good, Ive been going to mr pho for at least 7 years now. Whoever the waitress with the glasses is horrible she used to be so nice but not anymore. The old man behind the register I believe owns the place but his customer service has declined over the years as well. They open at 10am but they start vacuuming the place at 10:05 how ghetto is that? Dust all over the place cause they use an old vacuum. Either the owner is cheap and doesnt want to pay someone to show up 15 min early to vacuum the place or they arent the brightest restaurant owners. Dont bring kids here either they only give you 4 small napkins and no kids plates you have to flag them down and ask for the obvious.

I love pho! I really enjoyed the chicken pho. My husband is not so keen on Vietnamese food. He wanted coffee...thinking regular coffee. He got a Vietnamese coffee which he didn’t like. He ordered the chicken salad. Again...he didn’t enjoy. It had a lot of chicken on it. I tasted it and thought it good. The dressing, too.
