House of Sake in Walnut Creek

Going to start off by saying this was my first time here. Getting into the place there was a line and it was fully seated. Place is a decent size not to big not to small with very clean bathrooms. Wait wasnt too long about 5 minutes or so. The food to me was amazing only really got sushi but it was great. Im generally picky with sushi so everything we got didnt disappoint. Overall great experience would love to come back and try some other rolls

Consistent good food and friendly service. The cucumber salads were delicious to open for a good meal. Black and white roll is my regular go-to. We also ordered double hamachi roll, seared salmon belly nigiri, saba, sweet shrimp and seared salmon nigiri were all perfect. The fried shrimp heads were particularly tasty so we ordered more from the kitchen afterwards. Agedashi tofu and shrimp tempura were light and crispy. The yakitori was packed with skewed chicken and veggies in between. We will be back for more.

My goto sushi spot when you wanna spend $20-50 a person. Lady there was wonderful as always, and the guys behind the bar make fast friends. Quality is excellent consistently, and there tea actually has flavor, rarer than you think. My photos are of custom rolls which they do, or maybe Im special idk 🤷‍♂️🤣. Cant say enough good about this place. If I had to give 1 negative just to be constructive, too many of your special rolls include crab salad and/or cucumber. Its revolting(to me), but also a non-issue since you offer custom.

Service was fast. 1 server was way more attentive then the other but all went well.Warrior Roll and Dragon Roll is what I ordered.Dragon roll was good all the flavors were there. Shrimp was still hot when sushi arrived so it was fresh as to be expected.Warrior roll looked pretty for sure. Good flavors pretty mild.Its nice they stay open when every other sushi place closes at around 3 or so.Not too expensive so coming back when I crave again.

Favorite spot to go to when I have family visiting from out of town. Their specialty rolls are always crowd pleasers and are filling so they are great to share with a group without having to order too much. Im also a fan of their Unagi Don, and love the cucumber crab salad they serve when you first sit down.

Sushi was good and fresh. The service was very quick and friendly. Theres nothing fancy about the place but thats OK because the food is good.

Have lived in Walnut Creek about 7 years now and this is the best quality sushi I’ve found east of Oakland. Prices are also super reasonable. Have always done take out never eaten in. Kind of no frills place but just good quality clean sushi. To me their specialty rolls are the best (country, dynamite, rainbow etc).

I love this place and every visit (I live in LA) I am always treat my family with the dinner. Place is amazing! Highly recommended !!!

Great food, great sushi, great environment, great price, great staff. My go to place for sushi and Japanese cuisine in WC.
