House of Thai Taste is my neighborhood Thai restaurant and they never disappoint! Their Pad Thai is literally to die for, and their lunch/dinner specials are an incredible value. I recently tried the taro sticky rice for the first time and it was delicious, it was very filling and hearty for a dessert. I typically get mango sticky rice, so this was a fun new change for dessert!! They’re always so lovely when I go in, and their prices are so reasonable. They’ll always get my business!!!

Was super tired after skating all day and when I saw that this place was open I thought might as well give it a chance. It was an amazing choice the service, the flavor, the everything was amazing highly recommend. Didn’t even get a chance to take a picture of the food. It was so good we just devoured it all.

We used to love House of Thai Taste and picked up food there for many years. We stopped going before the Pandemic because the place was very dirty one day.We just went back after a few years and the place is super clean, but sadly, the food has gone downhill so much we wont be back.The service is very nice and they are fast. They will get your order right the first time. Parking is easy in their lot or on the street.Their prices have gone up, which I understand, but for what we ordered I could have gone to a better place.The food was just not up to par. The Pai Thai had no peanuts in it at all. It was bland and the noodles were over cooked. The Shrimp and vegetable tempura was not eatable. It clearly was not cooked to order. It was soggy and the taste was just not there. It was soft and just not good. The rice was dry.The curry and dumplings were good, and that is why I am giving them 3 stars because a couple of items were good. The curry was filled with flavor and spicy as we requested. The dumplings were also pretty good. We also had egg rolls and they were fine.We were disappointed over all and wont be back, we cant afford to toss food in the trash, but two of the dishes were good, so maybe you will have better luck.

Found this while visiting LA, it’s SO good! We got Kung Pao and Red Curry combos and it was so much food. Everything we on the plate was just delicious! Thai Iced Tea was out of sight…highly recommend this place

My son with down syndrome was sitting still. As soon as we walked in we got a dirty look. He is non verbal and communicates with grunts and loud noises. He never got out of his seat and the waitress took like 20 minutes to take out order. She proceeded to tell me if he yells, take care of him. That was so devastating. He wasnt running around or being bad. I still dont understand what she meant by take care of him. We cancelled our order and walked out. People with disabilities have rights! The disrespect of this place was awful. My husband has visited this place for like 10 years and the way out baby was treated was just sad!

This Thai spot has delicious, large portion meals. I found the spot just by walking by, but have already gone back multiple times. I highly recommend their sampler appetizer which has a variety of bite sized goodies. I usually get their pad thai (cant go wrong with that). The service is always friendly and fast as well and I love to support small businesses! (My photos are of take out but they are just as delicious once at home)

My Friend JJ was the One who Took me to House of Thai Taste. He asked me what I had a Taste for? What ever You have a Taste for I said. He said he knew a Great Place, Yet it was not close by, Cool, Lets Go. He Drove there. When we walked in I immediately liked the Comfortable Mood of the Restaurant, the Waiter was Friendly and Very Patient with me, Since the Menu Selections was Really good and Large, I had a Hard time Deciding what I Wanted to Eat. We previously came to the House of Thai Taste and our experience was a pleasant one. However we came two days in a row and everything changed from one day to the next. I’m not sure if they’re under new management but the servers were rude and the menu changed dramatically, in addition to higher prices. When we asked what happed with the other menu we were rudely ignored and the server just walked away. When we asked again, the server said she didn’t know the menu was going to change at all. That she only worked once a week and that she had not been told anything when she started her shift. The “old” menu would give you a lunch special which included an individual soup and with the “new” menu, it doesn’t include the individual soup and it’s $2 higher. All items were more expensive than usual. Things were very different and the servers were rude and not welcoming. The “new” menu was also confusing and when we asked for clarification we were left with “it’s a new menu”. There were even two different customers that went to eat while we were there and they too were confused and asking about the changes. Both of these customers mentioned the same thing at different times to the server that they’ve gone there and have enjoyed it, but that they keep changing the menu and the prices, that they should stick to something and stop changing it because they’re return customers don’t like it when things change so much where they don’t know how it’s going to be when they come back. And if they liked a dish and came back, sometimes it’s not served anymore. These same customers also mentioned that this was going to be the last time they were going to come, as are we. I think they should get someone who knows how to run a restaurant and how to improve and add new thing, not change them so often which causes confusion to the customers, in addition to prices always changing as well. Restroom did not have toilet paper and when I brought it up to them, they didn’t do anything about it. I went and sat down and when another customer tried to use the restroom and noticed there was no toilet paper, he went to tell them and they said they ran out of toilet paper and forgot to buy some before opening. Then they gave them napkins and put a stack of napkins on top of the toilet paper dispenser. I was in shock!!! It also was very clear that they were not going to go buy toilet paper at a nearby store. Will definitely not return again!!!

Very cute little restaurant. Support your neighboring small businesses. Theres easy parking behind the restaurant and on the side street, all for free.Very small inside with limited seating mostly closed down to covid right now.The staff is exceptional and can handle a takeout order with no issue. The food is fast and fresh.This restaurant has a good menu and very good prices.I ordered the chicken satay to go. It came with four large chicken satays, plentiful amount of peanut Thai sauce, hot sauce, of course the sweetened cucumber and vegetables on the side. All delish!The chicken is all white meat chicken and the vegetables are crisp and delicious the hot sauce adds a little punch to the peanut Thai sauce.They promised me the food be ready in 10 minutes and it was perfectly hot when I picked it up 10 minutes later. They included napkins and a fork and all the accoutrements you could need.This place is very welcoming. Nice and clean, with simple cute thai decorations around restaurant. That staff was very nice. I recommend that you come here for a great Thai meal.

This meal was GREAT!! Never had Tom Yum soup hotpot before (how fun!) The Wild Ocean has a super tangy broth and the seafood medley was perfection. Also ordered the papaya salad and a vegetable pad thai — delicious!Side note: the menu with the various recommendations next to menu dishes of “wow” and “delightful” totally cracked me up.Give this place a visit and you won’t regret it!

If you like Thai food, prefer that it be authentic, not just how it tastes, but how it is prepared and where it is served (i.e. ambience), and above all require that these culinary masterpieces be made available to your hungry a** at a ridiculously affordable price (say $10 max!) you have two options:1) Go to Thailand2) Go to Thai TasteFor $8.55, below is a snapshot of my order: an everyday lunch combo (this isnt everyday to any of us!) where, among the dozen entree choices, I picked one called beef and noodles. Good food, but some staff need to show a little more hospitality to there new customers. Cold and short and indifferent is not how you treat those patronizing your business. I keep my order simple, and when I for three lime wedges, a little cilantro and chopped peanuts, to add to the ordered items, which they charge an extra dollar for each, dont make me feel guilty for asking for those items. I would have given a higher star rating had it not been for the attitude. I did make a second visit a few weeks later, and had friendlier service. One other thing I noticed? The place is dirty. Look around, at the windows, blinds etc., and its poorly cleaned, kept up. Seeing this makes me question how they handle their food? Questionable for sure.

My friend recommended this restaurant to me and let me tell you I was absolutely floored. It was some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had. I had this lemon grass soup and I have never tasted something so wonderful in my life! I could not believe what I was eating. Also the ambiance was so cozy and just the perfect little vibe for you and your friends to have a nice heart to heart. I loved the server and he was so nice. Amazing Thai food! Easy parking! We took Pineapple Fried Rice, Tofu and Tom Yum Soup. The service was very quick and friendly too. They agreed to customize the items since we were vegetarians. They have a great selection of vegetarian options. The ambience is very cozy. This is the best Thai food I have ever had! Hands down!

We ordered a bunch of food for 5 hungry huge people and everything was delicious. Its my go to Thai place when you want home cooked fresh Thai food. Really nice family style bistro. Order everything especially the spicy shrimp fried rice...the seafood was fresh and delicate in every dish! Oh the Thai ice tea was a family favorite too!

Got Pad Thai and Penang curry the other night and it was super delicious. I have tried a few other Thai places around Venice and I have to say House of Thai Taste just became my favorite spot. Absolutely love this place i have been going here to have shrimp fried rice since I was in High School (all them years ago. 🤣) just recently decided to bring along my boyfriend and he fell in love with the crab fried rice. This is my first time I ordered from this place, I wasnt even aware of their existence. First of all, the man who took my order was extremely patient answering all my question since it was my first time ordering. While waiting for my order I started browsing the reviews and I almost called to cancel my order. Most 2/3 stars reviews has one thing in common, that the food was cold when they got it and it took so long to deliver.Well Im so glad I didnt cancel, the food was delivered in an hour, which they informed me at the very beginning, but the wait was very well worth it. Food good..waitstaff was nervous.Lots of food for entree. Includes soup and salad. Rice comes with a surprise! Pleasant ambiance.12/29/16 - Went here today and ordered Stir-Fry vegetables. Wasnt what I expected. No leafy green vegetables..more sprouts onions, green peppers and broccoli. Asked to have a different entrée and the waitstaff was visibly confused and irritated. Continue used to repeat, but YOU ORDERED STIR FRY VEGETABLES! I know what the heck I ordered AND now, I changed my mind d. Do I not get to change my order without feeling like Ive insulted someone? Moral of the story...you better know what you want cause they dont like change.

Their food is O.K., but beware when you place an order on food ordering platforms such as Grubhub. The place does not open for dinner till 5pm, but tend to accept order before 5pm. My order was more than ten minutes later than it was promised. There was no apology. Also there is no parking, and street parking can be very difficult.

I love Thai food so when I got the door flyer I called and placed an order. They said it would take 35-45 mins but delivery guy came in under 30. I ordered the super combo A and B because I couldnt decide and it was spot on. I even got two free Thai iced teas. Food is delicious and came hot. It was a tad bit high for take out but they give a generous portion for each order and I had leftovers for another meal. I love the chicken satay and I love their pot stickers. I would write more but I see the delivery guy now so I got to run and get my Thai fix on. BTW get the shrimp pad thai. Delicious!

I went here to eat when exploring the area. The one star is for several things. First, they gave me the wrong order giving me tofu instead of pork, but they did correct the order after I insisted I ordered pork. They never refilled my water and I had to go up to the them to ask for a refill.I saw the lady give others their bill and collect at the table so I assumed that was the normal procedure, but after being done with my meal and waiting for a while, I had to go up the register to request the bill and pay, only to find the host/waitress playing on their phone. Lastly, I had only heard about this from others stories, but it finally happened to me. Even with the poor service, I still tipped them, abet only 10%, and lo and behold, my credit card gets charged for about 30% more. So even more trouble going through disputing this charge now. Beware.

Really consistantly good Thai food. We usually get the chicken noodles, spicy beef noodles, green chicken curry and they are so delicious and freshly made. The soups are fantastic- favs include Cocos, seafood chowder and the ocean soup. You will not be disappointed. This is a very small place so the seating is limited but the kitchen churns out tasty authentic Thai food and they are always busy, hence most people order to go or delivery. Its THAT good.

Had three great meals here, until the fourth that was a pickup order. Took three times as long as was quoted on the phone for pickup (45min not 15min), didnt have our name correct, and the meal was inedible!! It was Pad Thai but it smelled horrible almost ammonia like and tasted even worse!! Barely touched it because I was grimacing so much. The order was near closing so I couldnt even get it replaced. My apartment smelled like spoiled.. I dont even know what.. I will admit I may not come back, spent too much for this nastiness. I was sorely disapointed and horrified to be serviced in such a way.

Depending on what youre looking for House of Thai Taste may or may not be your cup of tea.  I either dine-in or do take-out fairly regularly since its close by. What I got delivered the other week was an order of seafood salad, mixed vegetables and pad thai. Shame on me, when I ordered over the phone, I forgot to tell them I had a coupon for one of the freebies (either free drink, appetizer or sesame ball dessert for orders $25 or more).  Besides convenience, I like the fact that they dont use MSG and that I can order a pad thai with shrimp, chicken and egg. Yeah, I know pad thai in the US is Americanized, but at least the pad thai here is dry and not swimming in a sweetened red sauce like most other Thai places on the Westside.Pros: No MSG (a rarity for Thai food in SoCal), fresh ingredients, not too heavy on the fish sauce, good seafood choices, dry pad thai, lunch specials under $7, large portions, and menu/delivery coupons offering freebies with your delivery if you order $25 or more (remember to remind them of this, because they most likely wont bring it up).Cons: The place is tiny. If youre dining in, they have parking in the back, but beware the A/C is really strong. A little pricey compared to some of the hole-in-the-wall Thai places in Palms or nearby. Food delivery is average time-wise if you order directly w/o a middleman, but the guys who deliver arent friendly and exhibit a kind of a creepy shy politeness -- theyll give you your food and stand there wondering if youll give them a good tip (which I always do).Overall 3.5 stars

M picked Up some food and I ask can I have some Hot sauce and soy sauce and they responded very rude everythings in the bag everythings in the bag when I got Home there was nothing in the bag and they said it in A very nasty way I would never go back here again and the food was very salty. My family and I just finished eating at this restaurant, we arrived before 3 :50 we order soup the lunch specials end at 4 pm but the waitress never approach the table until was already 4:02 so she said that it was to late for lunch special, ok then we order from dinner menu, thats ok but what wasnt ok is that the blind at the window was filthy, and after we paid the check the waitress ran behind us on the street saying we didnt cover the whole amount of the food so embarrassing for us she missed counted the money, we been coming to this restaurant for 15 years, really bad experience.who knows when well come back ..
