Hoys Wok Chinese Food in Los Angeles

Food was delicious. I didnt think there was a lot of food just looking at the containers they gave us but it turned out to be quite a bit of food! We even went home with leftovers. The servers were also super nice.

Have you ever starving for a delicious Chinese meal that can be the one that you have been dreaming of, with a superior quality, flavor, reasonable price and excellent place with a kindly staff serving and a great atmosphere? Well.. that happened to me today, looking for the best place in town serving Orange Chicken and Chow Mein and I stopped here!(Update 1: Tried also de Honey Walnut Shrimp, DELICIOUS and really big Shrimps!)(Update 2: Tried the Shrimp Pepper 🫑!!!! EXTREMELY ADDICTIVE AND DELICIOUS!!! with a Thai Tea!)(Update 3: Tried the Mongolian beef with Chow Mein and Fried Rice, also the pan fried fried Gyozas 🥟)Let me tell you this:When I had that first bite… Ingot goosebumps, because the food was incredibly tasty, really hot, fresh and a huge amount, enough for a very hungry person or can be shared with 2, but definitely buying differently, so you can try the variety. PLEASE… if you’re buying the Orange Chicken… eat it inside of the restaurant, so you can eat it crispy with the Orange sauce tossed in.This is my best option in town for Chinese Food!Thanks to Kyle, who was registering my order and the other guy who was talking with me, that I didn’t asked for his name, but definitely will remember this post. (UPDATED: His name is SAM!)I’ll come back and I’ll recommend this place with no doubt that you will have one of the best gastronomic experience!

My first time eating at Hoy’s Wok, and the food is amazing! The entire staff provided exceptional customer service from placing the order to delivering my meal! In addition, I was offered delightful sauces to accompany my dish, and extra napkins were at my disposal. Lastly, as customers finish their meal and depart the restaurant, tables are quickly sanitized for future guests! BRAVO to Hoy’s Wok! You Rocked it!!

Weve been loyal customers of Hoys Wok for a couple of years now, going back to their old location. Unfortunately our most recent delivery was pretty horrifying - we found two separate baby roaches in the bag/on the food. Were traumatized and also super sad as this place was our fave - but theyre clearly having some cleanliness/infestation issues at their restaurant and I dont know if/when Ill feel comfortable eating here ever again.

I come all the time as I work down the street. They are always fast, super friendly, great food, and if you come often do the rewards system they rack up so much especially if you’re a frequent visitor. Also, amazing portions they have dinner and meal size

Although the food was tasty but the preparation I think was oily and had high sodium content. The variety of sauces was amazing, tried the hot garlic, chilli oil and yum sauce, yum is sweet but the other two are nice and adds the perfect spice to the plain rice which comes with entree’s. Very nice staff!

I’m really surprised that this place has any bad reviews. The food is always fresh, exceptional quality and super delicious. The service is always great and all the people who work there are just amazing . I think if people got used to Panda food quality and prices they will write these horrible comments because they simply don’t understand anything about good food .

Wow! I came here after reading all the positive reviews. It was super easy to find parking and very central. The actual restaurant is pretty small but I went at a time it wasn’t crowded and it was perfect. Our waiter was extremely friendly made great suggestions and even helped when it came to splitting a dish. I had the Thai tea which was tasty and the soup was not too salty. The orange chicken was so good!! I would definitely get this to go as well. Very fresh tasting. 10/10

I recently dined at Hoys Wok, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. From the moment I approached the service counter, I didnt receive the warm welcome one hopes for. As I perused the menus, I felt rushed, and it seemed like the lady attending to me was visibly impatient, even though I had politely requested a moment to make my selection.The pricing was a significant letdown, as it turned out that nearly every item came with an additional charge. Paying $23 for a meal left me questioning its value. Regrettably, the flavors and portion size failed to justify the hefty price tag. While some may argue for the quality, I personally couldnt find it up to par. Its worth noting that Im not typically a fan of fast-food chains like Panda Express, but in this case, I would have preferred it.Another concerning incident was witnessing the same lady who took my order accidentally knock a stack of disposable cups for condiments onto the floor. Instead of disposing of them, she opted for a rather unappetizing 10-second rule approach, placing them back on the counter for future use. This was not only off-putting but also unsanitary.All in all, I would advise against dining at Hoys Wok. The experience was far from spectacular, with subpar food, disappointing portions, and unsettling hygiene practices. There are better options available that provide a more enjoyable dining experience.

I saw this place showcases on KTLA Jessica Holmes Show. So we decided to take the drive and try them out. Thus is a family owned Chinese Infusion spot. Sam is the son and he meet us at the door. He was very welcoming, friendly and made me feel like he really appreciated my business. They were not too busy for a Saturday afternoon, but when we got ready to leave they had customer in line waiting outside to come in. The food was Amazing, Fresh and Very tasty. I give them a $50.00 tip, and I will be back. So will you.
