2023-11-06 03:28:48Great atmosphere, food and service. I tried the Chongqing Street Noodle and was not disappointed. The knife-cut noodles were fresh and chewy. The broth was spicy and flavorful and the meat was tender. The staff were very friendly and the value is pretty excellent for the Bay Area (~$14 for a large bowl with leftovers to take home)

2023-07-17 04:10:50Stopped by for lunch because I was in the area. The food was alright--it wasnt great, nor terrible--just left me feeling unsatisfied.I got the D11 - Chongqing Street Noodle and it was better than the cold noodles (D12 - Huangcheng Cold Noodle )--but thats because Im not really a fan of cold noodles to begin with. There was ground meat and a couple of veggies in the bowl along with the peanuts which actually added great flavor to the meal. The cold noodle did not have any protein, which made it a little disappointing. The interesting part about the experience is that youre expected to pay either in cash or venmo after ordering. I only thought it was strange because it was a sit down restaurant and not a place where you order and take the food to a table. They also will give you a stamp card if youre a person that will frequent, where after 10 noodle bowls, youll get 1 for free.~~Service: Fair. There were no condiments present on the table because we sat outside, but needed more than just the 1 napkin provided and it was a little hard to get the attention of the server.~~Best Part: Texture of the hand pulled noodles.~~Return: Probably not.

2023-08-07 19:41:48I tried the Couple Beef and Chongqing Street Noodle at Huangcheng Noodle House, and I like it! The Couple Beef was tender and flavorful, while the Chongqing Street Noodle delivered an exciting spicy kick. Both dishes were delicious and left me craving for more. The cozy atmosphere and attentive service added to the great experience.

2023-07-03 17:33:03Was in the area, so decided to stop by (found through yelp!) Huge plus that they were open on Memorial Day.As a group of 4, we ordered:-chongqing street noodle $12.39-couple beef $14.45 very spicy-braised pork rib noodle soup $13.39-noodle mince pork and eggplant $13.39, good as well!-saute string bean gralic $13.19 super salty, would avoid-noodle with pork and green pepper $13.39, one I personally ate. Surprisingly beat expectationsService was a bit lackluster. Seating inside and outside. Order and then pay first.Street parking only. Be careful to bring your belongings. We did see quite a bit of broken glass on the walk over.

2023-05-22 03:05:58Finally got to try this place after they moved to this new location. BEST HAND PULLED NOODLES!!!-good location and plenty street parking-clean and nice outdoor seating-friendly attentive service-We ordered the chongqing noodles and it was SO DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!! The broth was so flavorful, perfect numbing spice, and the noodles were SO FRESH. These were the best fresh hand pulled noodles I ever had. Just as good when I had them in China. They were light, tender, not chewy like other places, and super fresh.-Generous portions and extremely fresh ingredients here.-The owner was so friendly and nice. Can’t wait to come back here again !

2021-12-12 21:15:34My best friend and I happened to stumble upon this hidden gem on our walk home from the Jack London Square Farmers Market. She had the sesame noodles, I had the street beef noodle soup (which Im really glad I did!), and we shared the mushrooms in hot oil. It was excellent. The noodles were asymmetrical and some parts were thicker than others (even within the same noodle). But the noodles are prepared in house so one can expect some of that. Its the flavor that matters more to me and this place had PLENTY of it!Everything was fresh, fresh, fresh! And you can taste the love in their food! There were mostly Asian people at this Asian eatery--which is a really good sign. They placed a big speaker outside, playing really fun 80s+ music at just the right volume. Currently, they only have outdoor seating and a bit accepting Apple/Google pay. I admit, the service was a bit slow but not terrible by any means and definitely worth the wait. There were some regulars while I was there, which the staff knew by name. Pretty cool. I may become a regular myself!

2022-09-12 01:00:23My friends and I were in the area and were looking for a spot that opens late for dinner. When looking on yelp we found this spot and decided to give it a go! I am so glad we did because this place has amazing noodles and appetizer options! At first, my friends and I were individually going to order something but decided against doing so because we wanted to try more items and wooow good thing we did that. Because the portions were hugeee (which we were really appreciative of). Besides getting the serving portions being a plus the flavors itself were delicious too! Out of all the items we had ordered:cucumber with hot oil sauce ($6.49)** this wasnt really spicy FYI **couple beef ($14.45)seafood fried rice ($16.09)Chongqing street noodle ($9.89)I liked the couple beef and Chongqing street noodle the best due to the flavors and the pairing with one another! So if you stop by then these hands down would be the ones Id recommend ordering.Tips:- Its also one of the few restaurants that open a little bit later around the area so if youre looking for a spot that has bomb food and opens late or later then huangcheng noodle house would be an amazing spot!- its mainly an outdoor seating area and the bathroom is shared amongst the restaurant in the area- theres no direct parking lot available but they have a lot of street parking nearby

2023-03-28 05:07:19Its been a while since we found a good homemade noodle restaurant. The noodles were fresh and chewy/bouncy. The Chongqing noodle special is spicy, but not crazy spicy as long as youre already used to eating spicy food. They also served it not spicy for my kids. We all really enjoyed this dish. The owners were really friendly. Let us take a video of the noodle slicing machine. This restaurant is located on the side of Swans Market, and there were plenty of seats during Saturday lunch time. No wait.
