Im hooked on the Mississippi, but this visit I tried Toms Scramble. Apologies if I messed up the item names. Thank you to the employees for keeping a positive demeanor in what could be a hectic environment. It transfers to the customers and keeps us calm and smiling as well.

1st time here mixed reviews...The biscuits & gravy wasnt very good..very bland packaged gravy...the beignets could have been crisper but were very good..the breakfast platter was very good lots of bacon 😋 The club was good but the fries were soggy not crispy at all ☹ ranch was bomb tho 😋 we will go again and I do recommend it. I have only been to this location thus far. Breakfast is absolutely great. If you are a fan of catfish, they have some great dishes. Eggs benedict is great as well. The next time you check out a place for breakfast, id stop here. Its usually packed but even service is smooth.

Had fried catfish, fish and chips. The fish was perfectly cooked,french fries were great, and the coleslaw was good. My wife had fried okra with her fish and she loved it.We will return to try some breakfast items. They all sound good.

I was surprised by how much i liked this place, the service was excellent, my guy Jack was a pleasure and made sure we didnt have to ask for anything, the whole crew was nice, even with the restaurant bring slammed, the food came out really fast and they were huge portions and tasty, the majority of the food was fresh and made in-house, this is a must stop for a quality meal and a friendly staffPictured: Toms Scramble & Crab Cake Benedict

My experience here was decent. We were seated quickly, which I appreciated, but the customer service was not up to par. Our waitress was kind of rude and unprofessional. She kneeled on the booth seat next to me while taking our orders. I’ve never had anyone do that while taking my order! It’s not a big deal but It’s weird and most people would stand. Also, my friend ordered 2 dishes and the waitress scowled and said with attitude “Are you ordering 2 for you? Are you sure about that?” We were there to eat breakfast, not be judged for what or how much we ordered.On the other hand, food over all was alright as well. The sauce over the Louisiana omelette was good! Not too sweet or anything. They actually put a fairly good amount of shrimp in it. The biscuit was said to be freshly made but it was dry even with whipped butter.

The outside looks so dated that in the 2 years weve lived here, weve been scared to try it. Now Im kicking myself! The ambiance was awesome, the food was delicious and the service was EXCEPTIONAL! The icing on the cake was the super affordable, but yummy and good sized mimosas! The only thing lacking was the vegetarian options, but we made it work, with no regrets! My new favorite brunch spot!!

We just went there for the first time today. Our server Jack provided PHENOMENAL service. Our food came quicker than I expected. I had the huckleberry seasoned fries and the huckleberry lemonade. They were both good, but Jack was the HIGHLIGHT. He is one of the coolest servers I think Ive ever had! He was really great. If I went back (1 hour drive from me), it would be to see Jack and order the Huckleberry lemonade.It would be nice if this place had more vegan options though. Like maybe Beyond popcorn chicken (DELICIOUS) or Impossible burgers with Good vegan cheese (some vegan cheese is nasty, but some is actually surprisingly good).Overall, aside from the lack of vegan options, my visit here was very nice.

Service was great,food was moderate. I had the cat fish po-boy it was just your run of the mill fish sandwich no flavor at all. My wife had the jambalaya skillet which was pretty flavorful. Atmosphere was extremely loud.

First things first greeted with a smile by Fabian. So Thank you to a great host! Second Orianna was an outstanding server and I mean it . Nice, sweet and beautiful! Food was delivered in a timely manner which was fast and my brother s drink was never left empty! Also have to say the cooks did an amazing job on the breakfast so thank you. Overall, the food is great and the coffee is excellent! I had the Hucks Combo with a half waffle, 2 eggs over easy, country red potatoes, and bacon. Id definitely order it again, with the bacon extra crispy next time.

We love Huckleberrys. I only have one complaint. You used to be able to order your burgers with American cheese (the best cheese for a burger :) ). Now the only cheese they offer is cheddar. Im not a fan of translucent waxy cheddar cheese on a burger. Id take havarti, gouda, or blue cheese crumbles (second favorite! Love me a blue burger!) would be awesome!Other than that, we love the food and the service is great!

Ladies and Gents if you havent ordered this from Huckleberrys, you NEED TO. This is enough to feed Keith and myself for a few days, and maybe a few more people. Its WORTH GETTING, and from here on after this is where Im going because Amy on the phone was/is so damn sweet. Great food and great service. The manager is a gem, if they are down she jumps is as a server and will help buss tables, and always has a great attitude every time I come in. Great management leads to a successful team. Also, a shout out to Jack, he has been our server a few times and every time he is quick, friendly, and always impresses. We will keep going back.

If there were a zero star section, Id have to give it to this place. I Doordashed breakfast one morning. I received one small syrup for three massive pancakes, which makes zero sense. It wasnt enough to cover one fourth of one pancake. I did not have any additional syrup, so I had to pack it up and keep it cold for the next day until I was able to get to the store and get some.I phoned the restaurant and spoke to a manager, who said that it was company policy to give one. I made two points: He should have been empowered to make a commonsense choice to put more syrups into a bag with that many pancakes and due to their size. He wanted to argue over the word commonsense and the fact that he should have been empowered.The fact of the matter is that the word commonsense is means the common through process that would be effective before becoming incompetent, which I would put this in that category.The man then said that I was berating him, which is pretty common for people who dont want to accept responsibility.Im wondering if he even asked his bosses if he can use his own discretion to place more items into someones bag based on size and number of items. I will never eat here again and would not suggest others to do so based on the incompetence.

While visiting family in Yuba City we needed to find a spot for breakfast. We picked Huckleberrys completely at random and couldnt be more pleased with our choice. From the moment we walked in the energy from the host and servers was positive and uplifting. They were not only helping each other, without asking, but complementing, thanking each other and having FUN! Our server Olivia was AWESOME, super cheerful & help us with recommendations as we were 1st time visitors. Looking around before we ordered we saw a lot of happy tables and A LOT OF FOOD!. I ordered the build your own 2 egg omelette (because the 3 egg looked so big) bacon, onion & Avocado with home fried potatoes (w/onions &peppers) crispy with a side pancake. My wife had the New Orleans. Both of us loved our meals. Both loaded with the meats wed ordered, well prepared and served timely. I specifically asked that my potatoes be crispy (as I always request but rarely receive) and to delay my pancakes so I could eat them as desert. The potatoes WERE AWESOME - couldnt have been better prepared. The pancakes came just as I finished my main meal. They were also well prepared, served with warm syrup. My wife and I are both seniors and the amount of food was way more than we could finish. Id have been hard pressed in my youth to eat it all and I could put away some groceries. Priced reasonably and very clean location. Good choice for breakfast or lunch whenever your in Yuba City!

It used to be the old Perkos restaurant that has been a staple in the Yuba City area for years. When all the other ones failed this one seemed to keep going. The interior got a full remodel and it feels like youre eating it home rather than a diner. The menu is much improved. You can still get an old recipe if you ask and to cook and remember it. It wasnt crowded on the day that we thought it would be and the service was quick and our waitress was delightful until she had to take a lunch break or breakfast break and her backup was never told that we were there and so I had to go chase down my bill. Thats just a minor issue that I probably shouldnt even have to talk about

We had the senior special for less than $8.Ham slice, 2 eggs, red potatoes with a side of biscuit and gravy. Took my sister out for brunch on a very busy Sunday. Great pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon. Very filling and yummy Mississippi skillet with eggs, mushrooms, onions, peppers, cheese, ham, bacon, sausage. Which I also added some sliced avocado. Sister startedto order a shrimp dish and turns out waitress said not on the menu but sis ended up with a fried shrimp basket with French fries. She also wanted a biscuit and ended up with a huge biscuit with gravy. An error that was still to my sister liking. She had plenty of leftovers of both. I had refills on my HUCKLEBERRY swamp iced tea. Which I love! Service was outstanding smart, quick and awesome. We even had managers visit that knew my sister from many years at being at a former restaurant.

I got my amazing food but they forgot to add my gravy nor did they put a side in the bag. I called and spoke to a very nice lady on the phone and she and her manger coordinated a plan to bring me my side of gravy. NOW THAT IS GREAT SERVICE!! They drive to my house to make it right. Amy the manger and her team on this day were awesome and brought my gravy and even gave 2 blueberry muffins. Thank you guys you rock.

This place is great! The atmosphere and theme is a really unique and fun thing to walk into. Our waitress was really friendly and our food was served up in a timely manner. The food was prettt awesome too! Their fried green tomatoes are so addicting and their french toast was the bomb. And I love the fact that they serve their drinks in Mason jars, it really fits with the theme and their strawberry lemonade is delicious and looks really pretty too. I definitely recommend going here if you get hungry and are looking for a bit of a change of scenery and food choices.

I was having a terrible day and went here with my partner. He thought going out for a meal and some entertainment after would be helpful. This was our second trip to this establishment since I arrived and the first was great so I assumed this one would be as as well.We were seated and our waitress was what looked like a manager so I figured it wouldnt be too bad or frustrating. I had been crying a lot that day and when she arrived she asked my partner what we were having. He said we didnt know and she walked away. She didnt say anything to me (a strong theme that would continue up until we actually left.). When she came back she took our orders. Chatted with him. Walked away. She would come to the table to ask - how is the food? And other such pleasantries however she made direct eye contact with my partner and when I spoke or started to join in I was bulldozed and she would walk away. It would repeat several times. I was extremely frustrated and just shocked. Now I felt even worse than before and asked him to leave after I had maybe three bites of my breakfast. She came to the table and she asked him if he needed a box. His plate was clean. I had leftovers. I told her I would need a box. She agreed that I needed a box and went to get it. Im not sure why she felt the need to agree or converse with my partner only - it was just simply the rudest service Ive had since arriving here. I had already had a horrible day at work. It was just rude. And I wouldnt say it was her outright flirting but it was offensive and she blatantly did not speak to me or allow me to speak. It felt AWFUL. I also took a while to leave a review because I didnt want to leave it while I was upset and offended at her behavior.I will never be returning to this establishment.

Food was good, the waitress was awesome that waited on us but there was one waitress there that was in an argument on the phone when we walked in with a family member (assuming). Bad first impression. My sister and I treated my 75 year old mother to lunch. She was very loud and cursing. Then she was very unprofessional yelling across the restaurant to other employees. She may be management not sure. Covered in tattoos. She made us feel like we were in a dive bar. Great place with one bad waitress.

I came based off all the good reviews but Im really disappointed, my husband had the chicken fried steak with red potatoes it was horrible tasted like plastic. My son got a waffle which was pretty good but I mean waffles are easy. And I got the beinets that people rave about, they were basically dry balls of flavorless dough on top of piles of canned pie filling and some other cream cheese vanilla sauce. Totally gross and Im pretty easy to please.

I was honestly very disappointed in my order. There was significantly more breading than shrimp for the poboy and in the time it took to get to me, just a mile away, everything was soggy. The chili was 90% beans, so if you like beans youll be happy. Even the okra, which was okay, was still subpar to frozen fried okra I have had and they had bits I dont choose to eat. Eventually I may try again, but for the cost it was extremely disappointing.

Firstly, the waitresses are all polite and very responsive. I love the food here, the change to southern comfort is gradual and so the flavors available here are great but they dont hit you over the head with it.The outdoor eating is shaded, and they make attempts to provide as much comfort as they can. Had an amazing waitress who was not old enough to partake in new years eve and we went on the first so we left her a huge tip and gave her some chips to go to Hard Rock Casino, if she happens to see this i do hope she got her dog to the Vet and he was okay. Its a southern affair restaurant with a Bay area twist. Thats how I see it. Ample parking, right next to the Harley Davidson dealership. Seated right away on an early Saturday am. Got the crab cake Benedict for myself and bacon and eggs for the toddler. The coffee was fine. The eggs on the Benedict were super well done and not funny at all, as they should be. The crab cakes were ok, no taste and just bland. Overall, the interior ambiance is nice and clean. The separate sex bathrooms are clean too.

Im sorry we didnt get the name of the girl that seated us so cheerfully, even though my friend and I are seniors and handicapped, she and our waitress, Jessica, really went out of their way to take care of us and with such kindness and concern! Besides that the food was DELICIOUS : Fried Green tomatos, chicken & waffles, and my friend ordered the hot chocolate and it came with a pile of whipped cream and chocolate drizzle, and she said it was really chocolatety, not watered down like some places.

Im your Huckleberry! This place was great. We visited this last sunday. There was a bit of a wait but thats only because its new and everyone wants in. Sadly they are only open for breakfast and lunch but the food was good and the prices are even better. I didnt see anything over $12. (May have missed something though) large portions too! The beignets were amazing and I loved the chicken and waffles. There were a few flaws that I wont hold against them just yet. For example...the fries were a bit soggy as were my scrambled eggs. I assume this was due to how busy they were. I am sure they will be better when things slow down. I highly recommend you try this place out. Team work and service are lacking in this location. Missing food items during breakfast, poor service, cold food, and server follow up missing: husband complained to team as he got no toast or butter. For the two tiny pancake they served cold syrup, and no Carmel drizzle on spiced pancake special. Hash brown potatoes mushy in the middle and extra burnt on the edges. We spoke to several team members and no follow up until our waitress finally returned to the table.This is not our preferred location as we have better experience and service at Huckleberry’s other locations. 😒
